I'm in full support of catching people messing with children.
Am I the only one that gets freaked out watching guys get arrested as in the video you can watch by clicking the link on the left side of the page? Do they use the same scenario to arrest to guys meeting with escorts?
There are some rules for safe mongering posted on this site, you should read them. I've never been caught up in a sting but have encountered some instances where it appears someone was trying to get me to agree, via cell phone text messages or emails, to exchange cash for certain activities. So the most important thing is to never put in writing or state verbally that you are agreeing to provide money in exchange for any activities which LE may consider to be illegal.
It is, by the way, LEGAL to compensate someone FOR THE TIME THEY SPEND WITH YOU. This is no different than paying a babysitter to spend time with your child. But you don't offer someone money to engage in certain activities for you. And run as fast as you can from anyone who tries to "clarify" what is being discussed by asking you to confirm if you're agreeing to give them money in exchange for certain activities. In fact as soon anyone tries to link, either during texting, emailing, or conversation, the exchange of money for illegal activities, STOP all communication immediately. Don't respond back, just cut it off. If you haven't crossed the line, you're fine.
There are many ways to be cautious and protect yourself when meeting with someone new. Read this and other forums, do some homework and you should be fine.

But the ones stung are not just mongers, but providers as well, especially those who advertise online via sites like BP or Craigs List. I know one provider who has been stung and arrested three times in less than two years! With SWrs the usual target is the Monger, of course, so beware and always implement the LEO check, and never proposition a SW until she is in your car and you have done the LEO check. Providers who advertise are targeted for stings when LEO posing as a monger initiates the contact and either goes to the provider's incall location or meets her at his setup, which could be a home, a motel, a car, even a park. Mongers who respond to online ads from providers are targeted by LEO when the provider is really an undercover pig, usually a woman but not necessarily, and this tends to happen more at the provider's incall facility. As ever, it's a game of cat and mouse with LEO in our hypocritical American society. Those LEO resources could certainly be better spent fighting real crime, but hey, what can you do. Use prudence and stay safe.

i watched a tv special they had on 1 of the channels about backpage providers, from what i could tell they check on the girls who look the youngest, they are looking for **** girls who work and get them and also the people who are involving these young girls. there was a woman who had like 10 **** girls working for her and she thought she was doing nothing wrong. i prefer older women as i tend not to find as much drama (them calling me texting ect.) older women seem to fall off the leos radar, guess leo figures let these women get their hussle on. sw scare the heck out of me, too many mongers out there and lets face it leo has a field day with sws

That is 18 and above. The artical clearly stated these guys who were arrested were trying to pick up children in our state 17 is the legal age of consent.

The joint task force was most likely set up with federal grants in an effort to get men out of circulation that would do harm to children. This is a good thing and I applaud the efforts of LE to get these men off the streets and perhaps rehabilitate them.

LEO seems to be sucumbing to citizen pressure to make a "show of enforcement" in many central Florida areas. I would expect something similar with the upcoming political convention in Tampa. That kind of thinking can often transfer into neighboring regions. If we hobbyists pay attention to the research and stay away from the unsafe habits of many of the locals (sweetnsassy you are an exception of course) we will be fine. I can guarantee you that local LE is aware of who is doing what. They may be ignoring "victimless" fun at the moment, but that can change in an instant with the right local citizen pressure.
An example of a bad habit is one of the local ladies use of her real name on her backpage images. Its not like LEO C't figure out who she is anyway. But those are the small mistakes that can lead to bigger ones. I have learned a lot reading this forum and others. Use your big head and stay safe, don't let bad decisions lead to pictures of your visit with Uncle LEO.
About two years ago I had a friend in Jacksonville tell me she was avoiding Gainesville because of stings here. It was news to me.

Ocala set up shop in 4 hotels that was all together over off 75 and 200.
I am not real sure where Gainesville did there's was just told off archer road near 75 in some apartments.
But that night they got girls from ocala gainesville and as far as Orlando.
From what I can remember and back-page hasn't really been the place to post.
Guys wonder why girls screen there potential clients or move from the area completely or stop visiting completely.
If my memory serves me right it was in 2010 or 2009 right before the holidays.
They hit every where in Florida it was a nation wide bust to find kids who have been forced into it.

Also from what I was told main target was the providers.
After that nite you seen 90% of the girls get up and go.
In all honesty unless there is a major problem with drugs or minors or people ripping off people the officials really don't bother anyone, Every once in a while you will see them put up photos of under age kids on backpage and do stings that way.

When a provider gets busted its about 1000 bucks bail and her photo goes up into the paper and they watch her constantly second time it gets even higher for bail or bond.
And felony can go on her so I do understand why the girls moved to other places To keep everything on the down low.
And in all logic if you Google her number and come up with nothing something is wrong unless this is her first day.
