Peek-a-Boos is the worst shit hole in Connecticut.

After stopping in last night for a quick beer on my way home I was shocked to see they are making the whole place over. I have to say it was in dire need of it, the 70s decor was pretty tired. All I know is the old girl's dressing room is now going to be a champagne room and the new dressing room looks like it will be behind the stage. The lap dance area was still off to the side but I couldn't tell if it went farther back than it used to. That is one area that should be addressed, if they drop the ball on that with all the work and money they're putting into this they're fools. They were saying they are thinking about turning the second floor into something, I don't know what that meant a private VIP area or an extension of what's below meaning just another stage and bar. The hot bartender and kid that was bringing ice were fairly clueless. The kid called the champagne room a "wine room" which confused me until a realized what he meant. The bartender didn't know what a champagne room was, she's pretty young not in the biz very long I guess. I'm glad they're getting proactive and doing something with this dump, maybe it will be worth more than just a 2 beer stopoff. If they try to get too upscale it will be a mistake in my opinion. If they make some privacy it would be nice for some extra possibilities.

At 2:00 there were 3 young dancers trying to figure out the pole & no customers. Plenty of football but no T & A. Andy & Honey showed up about 5:00 & things picked up. I had a dance with one of the youngsters but it was a complete waste of time.

Had the occasion today to be in the bury and decided to step in to Mr. Happys for a cold one, unfortunately the beer wasn't the only thing cold in there! We were crunched for time to get to NY but upon entering were told the cover charge was $20. Buddy says no way he is paying a 20 dollar cover just for another 20 in NY. So we opted out, but from what I could see inside there werent very many dancers but the place is pretty nice looking inside. I did read that the owner is a woman and trying to create a Miami style South Beach type of club. But it's Waterbury lady. Not very many cars in the lot. I also read this place may also be a tranny club (which I'm not into) but I cannot report on that.

I stopped by for happy hour, mid week around 5pm. The place is nice and shiny. Buds were $5, no cover. There was nobody there. 2 below average girls dancing. 4-5 guys at the bar and 2 young drunk guys flashing money at the stage.
I got to talking to Eddie the GM, along with giving me a tour he said he has just hired 10 girls for the day shift so things should improve. The main area is one large room with tables set up for dinner so you can eat and watch the show. Two bars. On the perimeter is a champagne room, some smaller alcoves with curtains that you can rent. The lap dance room was a long skinny room with a long skinny sofa. On a busy night, expect to be flanked by guys getting lap dances. In one corner is a huge shower that the girls are expected to use during shift changes. In the back were 3 private theme rooms that you can rent for $400 for 30 minutes. One looked pretty plain like a living room. 1 was an S&M room with whips, tie-downs etc, and the third had a jacuzzi tub. He did mention there is surveillance in the rooms, oh well.
The lap dances are a flat $20. You don't have to buy a ticket or anything. Just give the girl $20 and you're off.
He kept talking about how great the food was, especially the aged beef. Overall nice place. They are definitely positioning themselves as a 'higher end' entertainment destination.
It is right in the middle of the South Main SW loop, but that area has been dead (at least for me) for some time.

As an FYI-Customer beware.
This place is now opened under a new name but same owner. Renovation is complete but same level of dancers as before, small upgrade from 4 to 5 girl rating.
They have obtained an 'after hours' license and stay open til 5 am on the wknd, 4 am on weekday, BUT they don't sell liquor or beer. The place is a BYOB, yes, BYOB.
$10 cover before 2 am.
$20 after 2 am.
Bringing your own beer will cost you $2 per beer. They also charge to serve you your liquor. They are saying it is a service fee.
If you do not BYOB, they charge a 2 drink minimum with soda or water, I believe is $5.
The way it works is a customer pays a cover, pays the bar what the cost is per bottle or per beer ($2). If you haven't finished your bottle or beers, the club confiscates your alchohol until 2 or 3 days later saying you can retrieve it after that grace period. Before you enter with your alchohol, the club takes a drivers license / I'd, gives you a bracelet with the last 4 numbers of your license on it, you then must go to the bar with that bracelet and pay the bar maid a fee to place your drink (s) in the cooler or on ice, and to serve them to you. She then tags the bottles or beer with that 4 digit number to identify it as your own. What they don't tell you is you cannot retrieve your alchohol if you haven't drank all of it by the end of the night. Sounds like a racket to me.

Beer-12 pack cost $16.99 from package store.
Beer-$24 to serve at club.
That's $60.99 before I Sat. Down.
The girls didn't seem to be making money and most left around 3 am. But, the club was still packed. I arrived slightly after 2 am so the cover charge was 20. Place doesn't seem to care about customers or the girls, just making it's wallet fat. I say it will last for a short period before customers and girls realize they are being taken for a ride with this kind of business practice. I am pretty sure the girls also have a tip-in fee. I couldn't drink all of my beer, and will be in jersey this weekend but did find a way to retrieve some of it back without taking a complete loss. Tipping the girls helped me with this.
I have been to BYOB's in Jersey and they only charge $2 to place your beer on ice with a $20 cover after 9 pm and the place was much better than this one. Girls were hotter and decor was much better. The target market for this place obviously isn't educated on such business practices. I will not repeat.

My 1st time in: I Sat. In the lot about 5 minutes to get a feel for the clientele going in and out. In that 5 some sort of cab-sure as hell didn't look like a cab but had a generic sign on it stating 'cab' came through and parked. About 2 minutes later, a Cadillac with chrome wheels shows up and just sits in the lot with it's engine running. Odd.
Stepped inside and the place itself is really really nice. The bathrooms are gorgeous with decor to match along with LED soft lights that go from bright to dim.
Club layout is wide open with a shower in the corner.
There was about 10-12 girls all but 2 were unattractive, at least in my eyes. I had trouble getting to the bar to order a drink because it was total Kaos with most of the worn and saggy looking dancer.
Occupying the chairs with their 'crew' blocking the bar from one end to the other. The 2 attractive ones were spanish and white, and of course the shot glass girl, who'd came by my table and offered up a shot. I asked what kind of shot it was and she explained it was cognac (Hennessy). I think I may have screwed up my face and said I'll pass. I have never been to any club and was offered Cognac from a shot glass girl, NEVER. I knew what I was in for at that point, so I grabbed my jacket and rolled right out.
If the place had classier dancers, it would really be the place to frequent. The club is better looking than most of their product (dancers), seriously. I wished I didn't have to be negative about it but that's.
How this one goes. I will stay away for a while, then revisit to see if there is a different result.

Regarding "Pandora" Holy Crap! The place looked closed when I drove by so kept going; glad I did.
I found my way to Mr. Happy's about 7 PM. There were about 5 girls rotating through ranging from 5-8 looks. The 5 was a cute face with a pot belly which killed things for me.

The story goes like this. I walk into the place as an only customer after getting buzzed at another local watering hole. I didn't BYOB but spoke to a couple dancers who supplied some drinks for me.
The place only BYOB until 1 am, like every other watering hole in the state.
The 411 on this place is $35 for a lap dance and apparently DTD charges the girls a whopping 57% of all dances. The club gets $20 and the girls get $15. A total ripoff. I am sure there is takeout to be had. They also have to tip the DJ and the bouncer, and I do believe the bartender. All this, not even to mention the weight it places on the customer's wallet. If the girl is smart and wants to make money she may as well go to another club or do pvt dances and keep 100% of the income. The story goes like this. I walk into the place as an only customer after getting buzzed at another local watering hole. I didn't BYOB but spoke to a couple dancers who supplied some drinks for me.

It might be just as bad as dealing with providers with 702 (Las Vegas) area code phone numbers. It's also our fault for chasing eye candy then catching buyer's remorse when the service is lacking.

I haven't been there in a long time, since before the remodel, but I dropped by on a quiet Saturday afternoon. It was pretty empty but a pretty and nice girl named Electra came up to the bar and chatted with me. The server behind the bar was also friendly and chatted and joked with us. It was laid back and genuinely friendly. Electra and I both got the idea at the same time and I bought a couple of lap dances, which was all my budget could stand right then. She made it friendly and sensual and I wanted more at the end. That was the point and she was right on target. No discussion of extras occurred or was suggested. I'll go back when I can afford it.
