Had a somewhat interesting thing occur, and am going to be vague for personal reasons.
Visited a local AMP, which has been reviewed here numerous times. Got a korean gal in her 40's, but with a great body and attitude. After the session was over, she asked if I would like to see her outside of the AMP. I agreed, she wrote her number down and asked for mine. I gave her my cell number, she said she would call me friday night and maybe we could go out for dinner. I doubted that she would call, but she in fact did call. Turns out, she is working to "pay off a debt". I have often wondered this about AMP's. I have heard the stories about the indentured slaves, etc. Turns out she has to work from 9am-10pm 10 days in a row, no pay, only tips, however, the house takes a percentage of the tips received. I asked how they knew how much she made in "extras", she would only repeat, they know everything, they know everything.
I have been going to AMP's for a long time and have never had this happen. I am wondering what the story will be next time. I am not a sucker. I am not going to fall for the "I have a sick family member" or other like stories concocted to extract money from the white devils. LOL
I have been to asia and europe, I have heard the stories in asia, and I have seen stories on this board about guys that have fallen prey, sending huge amounts of $$ over to help them out.
Just wondered if anyone else has had this same thing happen to them?
If not, it is apparently possible to get private massages.
My assumption is that I will have to pay next time. No $$ was asked for or offered.

There tends to be more out of town girls these days. They tend to try and charge more. The problem is to many people are giving in to high prices.

I became good friends with one of my favorite providers last year, and learned a lot about the AMP business from her.
When the girls first come over from Korea they owe a debt to whoever arranged to get them here, which they work to pay off. However, once they pay it off they are generally free to go where they choose.
Some of them get in trouble by losing money gambling at the local casino. Then they end up borrowing from the spa owner to pay their bills. The spa owner then treats them like slaves because of the debt.

Took a drive in all the normal spots this morning. Was pretty much dead except the area of 27 and south of IS. Merlin - The use of escort services here is actually a very low risk if you do your homework as I mentioned below. Just check out the reviews at t e r . c o m, or big doggie . net or other similar ones and see what other mongers have posted about providers. There is very detailed information regarding services provided, contributions, attitude, appearance, technique down to the nitty gritty, and if a particular provider is cash and dash or not.

Here is my report for Tuesday night. I was cruising around running errands last night between 8:00 -10:00 PM and saw several SW's on 32nd St. between Thomas and Indian School and on East McDowell. All in all I saw a total 5-6 with another 2 probables and one pimp.
I was shocked because this area has been dry for the past several months. I did see 2 Sw's that were at least 8's, and reminded me of the quality that one used to be able to find on VB between 44th and the freeway back in the old days.
One of the 8's was at a gas station on 32nd and Thomas. This chick was about 5'10'' with a nice rack and even better rear. She was dressed nicely with skin tight business slacks and nice tight shirt. As I was about to break the ice, some punk in a vette cruised up and that got here attention. Before I knew it, she was inside with him and gone. Damn.

I was a little confused on the whether the action was on the STs or the Aves. Saw 2 WSW and 1 HSW around the 11:00 PM time after leaving Christies on 32nd St. Wish I had stayed down in that area. it sounds like to action was better. Circled a couple of times trying to get the HSW but another monger picked her before I could. Only one left was a WSW 20 somethiong with a purse. I stumbled onto this site a few months ago and thought I could make some helpful contributions. I've been driving a taxi here in Phoenix for 3 years now and drive SW's home on a nightly basis. Even have a few regulars who call me direct for a ride. I can assure you the street scene will most definitely pick up in the next several weeks as the "circuit girls" make their way here from colder climates. Although all should be similar to past winters, the locales have changed this past year for the first time in quite a while. LE has got a pretty good grip on East Van Buren now. There are a lot of reasons for this - mainly due to it's close proximity to the planned light rail and the city's hope to revitalize east downtown all the way to Tempe. As a result, SW's are dispersed all over, making them harder to find and costing us all alot on gas. Here's a current overview: West Van Buren(7th ave-35th ave); 19th ave(Thomas to Bell rd); 27th ave(Thomas to Northern); Sunnyslope area(Hatcher, etc.); all along Bell rd(daytime); Central and Buckeye area(mostly strungout junkies).
Those are the reliable spots as of now. Most of the new girls are setting up shop along 27th ave. They are NOT independent SW's so they are more $$$ but keep less. Anyway, this message has gotten too long I suspect. Will be a regular from here on out - I also have info. on a couple of "whorehouses" in west valley - but will only give that info through PM. Hello there. I've been cruising 16th Street from Indian School to VB at 4:45am the past week, and really nothing, and if there is it is not worth it. Then I go west on VB from 16th St. to 35th ave. Broken record, but 10/5 Tuesday evening pickings are slim again. Went down 19th Ave from Bell all the way down to VB at 8:00pm, absolutely nothing. This week I have had much business about town and I have some observations. If you will just sit for a bit and look out the windows, you will see ladies working on virtually every street in town. I ate at a mexican food place on 24th St and I bet I saw at last 5 Working Girls go by in a half hour's time. About 5's all of them.
That afternoon I went west on Glendale Ave and I spotted 3 ladies working between 12th S and 19th Ave. About 5-6's.

I went out after a meeting last night to the usual places along 27th. Well, I took the Friction AMP challenge and went there this afternoon. Sadly, I wasn't up to the challenge. Pam wasn't there so I had Kay, a pretty good looking 30 year old Thai lady. Yes, the Bay Area is of course one of the major circuits for K girls and the like. The supply over the last 3-4 years has shifted completely away from Viet girls to Korean girls and now more-so Chinese girls. Certain houses in LA and Oakland are also predominantly Malaysian girls as well. However, LE pressure is great since we're coming up on election time and as such, supply is rather limited in a sense. One of the big AMPs of SF (perhaps the best one), Kings, has effectively been shut down after a big bust last week. 32nd Street south of Thomas has been pretty decent. I saw a few H/BSW's over the past few days in the late morning and early afternoon. Saw Deadra (BSW) for a very physical lunchtime workout. Her rate was .50 for a full hour with multiple styles and techniques.

Be very careful on 27th due to the large presence of LE. Recently the residence of 27th ave have complained to the city that their block is becoming infested with SW. They even had a protest along 27th ave two weeks ago!
Last two weeks I have cruised up and down 27th ave in the day time and night and don't see much except for LE cars. I’d let things cool down before heading that way.

I observed a lot of crap on 27th Ave yesterday. About a block south of Northern, I saw 3 WG's working about a block to the west off 27th AVe. One was ol "Toofless Tracy" and a BSW and a WSW.

Also, U/C officers were observing from a non-descript brown Malibu Chevy. I went to Moon Lake Massage over on T-bird by 103rd Ave out in Sun City. Had a Chinese girl by way of Shanghai named Cici, quite cute, says she's 27 but probably is early 30's. Ah, this makes some sense to me now. I was going up 27th Ave between Indian Hill and Northern Tuesday night at around 11pm, and I noticed these white women by themselves on the right hand side (going north) every other block or so. About 4 or 5 in total. They didn't look like skanks and they were dressed in a non-provactive way. I hadn't seen any of them before.

Torch, I'm sorry to here about your bad experience with Cindy. The upselling thing is a major pet peeve of mine as I think the flat rates are pretty fair to both client and provider for basic services. Some of us are happy with them for all of our services but some will want to make more money for more services. Because everyone is an independant contractor I can only dictate the 'shop rates' to them and then it is up to each to decide what services they will provide for those flat rates. As with many places and providers, not all provide the same types of services so that can vary too. (Some of us offer hot stones and some don't ;o)
I'm especially unhappy to hear that it was "a mediocre massage" because I try hard to promote good massage work in my shops. Cindy usually gets good comments on her massage so this was a surprise.
I hope that you will please give me the opportunity to make this right. Just let me know what would make it better :o)

Thank you for the follow-up. I should clarify. I wouldn't say it was a bad experience, it was simply OK. Maybe it's just what I am use to, my past experiences for the same "level of service" in my home state as well as across the rest of the country have been at 1/2 the cost and a much better massage. If/When I'm back in the Phoenix area I promise to give ATOH another visit and will let you know how it goes.

Went up 27th Ave from Thomas to Northern. There was a police car with its flashing lights on just south of Osborn. However, strangely enough there was a good-looking SW (from a distance, she was on the left side of the street) at the corner of Osborn and 27th Ave heading towards the direction of the police car. Dont think that what happened to you only happens to out of towners, cause I had the same experience with Cindy. I chalked the $180 up to experience (only 3-4th time at AMP/MP) and the next time, I went to see Angie just as IkneadU suggested below. Just a fair warning, Angie also upsells (I paid $1. extra for everything, $2.80 total) but it may be worth it depending on your options.
Have to admit I was very pleased with the whole experience, except for the $$, and Angie is quite cute(7-8 range). There are other girls that dont upsell I am told, if you are into bbw. I do recommend ATOH as a safe, clean and relaxed place to visit. And Angie does a great, unrushed job, although it wil cost you. Supply=demand I guess. I would recommend that you live around Tempe. It is a college town and there are a plethora of bars around that one can choose to go to 7 days a week.
From there, you can visit the AMPs in Scottsdale and Mesa and live close enough to be near SWs walking Apache Blvd. or Van Buren.

I've been mongering at AMPs in the Phx area for over 6 years now, and 1.0 is pretty standard as a tip for fs just about everywhere. Some gals, those younger and cuter, will often ask for 1.2 or 1.4. AMP's have proliferated here in Phoenix. They are everywhere.
When I moved here ten years ago, there was maybe one I could call an AMP. It is on central and operated by a Chinese lady. She offers much the same service and pricing as she did then. Very reasonable. She has a very nice looking Korean lady working for her now who is about a 7 and she is not a ripper.
One of the newer AMP's opened here is at 51st Ave and Maryland. Nina (about a 6-7) there is very reasonable.
OK Spa in Mesa has been around a while. Only lady I have found there who gets the job done reasonably and in style is Nancy. I recommend no other lady there.
Rose Garden on 7th St is now an AMP and I recommend Lee or Tasha there. Pricing is reasonable.
AMPS's here now are all like parlors in Scottsdale. All those old rich farts will pay their asking prices so their pricing puts us po boys out in the cold.

I think there is currently a lot of LE pressure on AMPs, that plus the new state licensing requirements are going to run a bunch out of business. Some have already shut down (J Spa, the Oriental Therapy place at Scottsdale and Miller) due to this. I suspect a lot of the gals are trying to raise prices in the area in order to make a quick buck before closing up shop and leaving the state.
One bright spot, tried "Nancy" down at Asian Breeze the other night. Hello fellow AMP lovers!
I'm a regular poster in the California section, but wanted to let you know of the happiness I encountered while visiting your city last week.
Like a good monger on business trips, I always check out the forum prior to my visit, so I can get the skinny on what's good and no good out there, and also find out if there are any particular places that you guys recommend.

About 4:00 PM I started cruising 27th Ave from Mc Dowell to north of Northern. Saw maybe three ladies I'd let smoke my pork... I sighted one high mileage WSW at about Glendale and 27th Ave. The other, an WSW I spotted at 27th Ave and Indian School. Problem was there were lots of cops cruising in marked cars everywhere. For once, I saw nothing on BHR, West Glendale or Grand. Damn! Where is a working lady when you need one?

The closest casino is Casino Arizona, which is on tribal land just east of Scottsdale. You can see if from the 101 freeway, I think the exit for it is McKellips. It's one of the bigger and the best I have been to locally.

There are many casinos in the immediate Phoenix area. All of them are under the operational eyes of the various Tribal groups. I have been in all of them and I have yet to spot any working ladies in any of them. When ladies go to these casinos, they are there to gamble and that is all that in on their minds.
Also, the tribal police and security are very adept at weeding out those who are there for anything other than gambling.
It is certainly not like Vegas casinos, where very bar is well stocked with working ladies.

I passed on two, and saw a decent one near the 51. I decided to take another pass and get her attention while she was sitting at a bus stop. We made eye contact and she got up and started walking to a side street. I flipped around and LE was cruising down the street as well. This LE cruiser already saw me about 2 times within a half hour so I kept going and did not look back.

Took an opportunity to take the scenic way home from the office this morning. I hit up all the popular roadways and didn't see much of anything except for a couple of accidents. There were the usual cracked out BSW on VB around 24th and the regular trannies over near 7th.
Kept heading west hoping to find something but it was slim pickings even on the west side, there were two WSW on the SW corner of 27th Ave and VB, however they were surrounded by about 5 Blk/Hispanic males who looked like they were up to no good.

Nope, both AMPs are on Guadalupe, Chinese proprietors. Tops is on the corner of Guadalupe and Dobson, the other one still exists and just off of the 101. There is a place called Asian Gals (not girls) on Gilbert, Korean proprietors Just to add to the confusion, there are two Best Asian Massage places in Mesa, both related, and two places called Asian Massage, one in Mesa, one in Chandler, don't think they're related.
Anybody checked out the East Valley Therapuetic Massage & Body Works at Main and Greenfield in Mesa? Been driving up and down 27th Ave between Thomas and Northern, 19th Ave, VB, 16th Ave, etc. for an hour or so every night this week. I can say that the only major action on a consistent basis is the 27th Ave from Indian School to Campbell section.

saw a lot of action around 27th and indian school.... things looked out of control, about 10 bsw and wsw with a 1/2 mile, at 8pm at night!!! .. lots of traffic too...

If you have read the AZ Republic today...understand there are going to be much stricter rules for MPs in 2005. These are being instituted by cities including Phoenix, and East Valley cities. While not a purveyor of the MP scene..it made some interesting reading i.e. these proposed changes....so the motto is ..careful out there.
Some of the new rules would include written logs to be maintained by the business, nature of treatment performed, information about the client (yourself) etc....

I happen to be on one of those phone chat lines that's advertised in publications like the Phoenix New Times. At least one woman straight up told me she was "incall" and looking for some "holiday pay". The line I was on has phone numbers for the Phoenix area, Tucson, and Las Vegas.
The article that I read in the Republic didn't include Phoenix. It stated "Chandler is joining several Valley cities, including Mesa, Scottsdale and Peoria, that are changing municipal massage laws before the state takes over licensing of massage therapists Jan. 1."
It's not really a big deal. Logs can be forged, manipulated, etc. so I don't know why they think it will deter the type of activity that they're trying to avoid. Massage Envy is a perfect example... a very 'therapeutic' enviroment for massage practices that had a male massage therapist arrested in August on 9 felony counts of sexual assault and abuse. Whether they like it or not, no matter what kind of rules they implement, if two adults want to 'play' (whether for money or free) they will find a way to do it.
