I'm planning to be in Birmingham soon. Looking for basic table shower and massage. Extras not that important. Pretty attendants. Clean facility. Can anyone help me? Previous postings suggested SS maybe? Door fees still in the $65 range? PM me if you want.

I know there's been some discussion on this board in the past about Healing Touch (the old Muscular Therapy).
Went by there last week for a session with Pam, but just happened to see Doris in the hallway. Judging from what she looks like, and what Pam told me, Doris is not long for this world. She looks just dreadful, and it's kind of sad, actually.
Just an FYI. Doris is still working most days; Pam said she needs something to keep herself getting out of bed in the AM.

to our local AMPs have been to SS. Have always got great service from start to finish and the girls have been better than average if not smokin hot. Last visit there were lot's of questions (more than normal) and a new girl providing the service. It took a bit of convincing, but I eventually left after receiving what I was looking for. I don't know why, but I thought it was a new mamasan, but she said she was not new and I thought it strange that neither of us recognized the other.

Cookie was married to a mechanic at a Honda dealership who LOVED the fact she was doing massage; never had a full session with her.
Nikki popped up last year on the Jeffco Sheriff's Department website; still attractive even in a mugshot. The site said she was doing time for failure to appear following a drunk and disorderly charge. Great update on these girls. Those were great days in the Birmingham massage with extras market. If anyone can cajole any of these girls to comeback as independents, I think the members of this board would really support them. I never had a bad experience with any of these girls.

Paid a visit to the local AMP. I'll have to say that after Sally and Sunny I'm a bit spoiled. I'm a once per week regular and surprisingly had not seen Sara, so I asked for her today. Mamasan knows I'm a regular and although she acknowledged my request did not bring Sara. She brought Jackie instead. She was ok looking so I didn't balk but should have. Very lackluster TS. Massage was so bad I had to finish the damn thing myself-never had that happen before.

Went to the SS tonight. The girl that came in wasn't what I was wanting, so after reading these reports, I asked for Sarah. She said Sarah was busy, and I said I'd wait. It is amazing to experience it and then to see how it disappears with NO evidence, greasy skin or scent! A shower would be nice just for the relaxation, but I've never had a problem with Nuru the two times I've experienced it.

I was there the other day and Pam said that cancer had spread to her liver, and she found that out 6 weeks ago. She said that Doris can't hardly stand up from the shakes. It's terribly sad. The reason you get no answer is that the other Pam is also out sick so there is only one person working there.
Anyone have any info on Doris lately? I've tried to call over there but I get no answer.

I have and will be taking a little break to fix my back problems. A friend of mines will be taking me to see their Orthopedic surgeon. In the meantime I will only be accepting a very limited amount of my regular clients. When I start to feel better I will then accept new clients as well.

Based on a recent review, I thought I'd give Bali another chance. The parking situation is terrible-way too exposed, but I went on in. Everything was pretty good, clean, good smell, nice rooms, until the masseuse showed. Big girl, probably 40, not very attractive. JSaw Tammy at New Paradise couple of days ago. Was treated as a burden or some grusome task. Now I ain't Brad Pitt but I ain't Quasimodo either. Really a bad attitude all around although personality warmed up a bit towards the end. Process was very automated and the worst experience ever at New Paradise and its ancestors and one of the worst in the entire AMP scene. A quick search on AL. Com shows a report of 5 arrested at Paradise. One for operating a house of prostitution, three for residing in house of prostitution and one for VISITING a house of prostitution. With the reputation of AMPs being what it is and only three or so in town for the local police to watch it is sort of like shooting fish in a barrel for them. Went today. Seems pretty busy; I saw Mimi, who made me wait about 10 or 15 minutes after shower before coming back for FS. Heard at least one other client come in; there was another girl who was maybe 18. Service was okay; she was very attentive but a little rushed; they may be skittish, thinking they're next for a bust (I parked at the other end of the lot).

I had a masseuse who I could not understand exactly what she was saying but I thought she was saying "T" but I could never make it out clearly. Anyway, my time with her was not bad at all she wasn't small like a lot of the girls they try to keep in AMPs she was medium sized with a pair of huge tits. She told me she was a regular there but any other time I went back the mamasan acted liked she didn't know her to my disappointment. She said she was serious about her work as a therapist and would not "dishonor" (her word) it by offering illegal stuff. I was really surprised by the report or reports that she agreed to HE after we had that conversation. Honestly, I doubted the veracity of the report, but I could certainly be wrong about that. Everyone is a different case and he may have caught her on a weak, or particularly needy, day. To me, her massage was worth the price alone. Well, if I didn't know that the O'Charleys in Pelham was closing I would say that both of the eating establishments were a result of being in a dark pigmentation area like everything else that has moved out of the now ghetto, I mean Center Point, or Huffman, or Roebuck, and moved to whiter, safer pastures. But the O Charleys in Huffman seemed to be busy all the time. The Ruby Tuesdays I can see closing because there is another one 3 miles up the road.

Where do I start. Paid for an hour and then the tip and only got 20 minutes in the room. Was left in the sauna for about 5 to 10 minutes when other customers came and went. No pun intended. Saw Chanel or Channell, doesn't matter, looks were good but personality was pure crap.
When I complain to the mamasan, the "security" guard stands up and gives me a look like he is going to make a move on me. I ask him "WTF is your problem?" No answer.
The other attendants start joining in the banter. So it becomes clear to me that the situation can only get worse, I leave and manage to tell another customer that is about to enter my experience in ten seconds and he gets back in his car and leaves.
Like Jerry says "Though I may not be able to caution all, I still might warn a few"
My advice is to avoid these fools and put them on the dns (do not see) list for about the next month. At least.
Maybe mgmt will clean this crap out or the market will.
Going to this place is liking putting lighter fluid on your money and striking a match and watching it burn.
Although as always YMMV.

See bad reviews on Bali here. I believe it. Last time I was there was about a year ago and was very rushed. Didn't enjoy much especially sense I remember the good days of time aroma at that place. Any of ya'll remember coco. That girl was an absolute work of art. Became such a regular for her. She was truely nice I believe. She wanted to marry and stay here and I would have given serious consideration if I could have at that time. She was perfect in every way. Only perfect 10 in my book that I've ever seen. People say I'm crazy but let them. Some people gave her a hard time and she told me she was going to seoul but would return but time closed. Would love to know what ever became of her. Maybe I'm a fool but I still think of her from time to time.

The second time oddly I guess I made the lady nervous, she was older but she hadn't hit that asian wall yet, but she did give me an incredible massage. I was almost tempted to go back again to see if she was still there but decided not. I travel a lot for business and will go to spas at the hotels and her massage was better than half I've received at pretty decent spas. And for less than half the price!

Sampled the ole VIP recently. Bit of a wait, the mamasan offered shower! No thanks granny! Waited for girl. Finally arrived. Long in the tooth for sure but good attitude and shower / massage. All was offered. Overall decent. No fireworks though. Too pricey for me to want repeat.

I went last night. $50 massage, I handed her 60 and she actually brought back change, so I pretty much knew we were legit then. The rooms have sheets as doors, so not much chance for naughtiness. After a couple of visits I gave her some not so subtle hints that Big Jim and the Twins would like some attention. She kept putting my hand on Jim and motioning for me to self serve. Finally I am like WTF and she keeps massaging and watching real interested as I massaged Jim to completion. Next trip she gives Jim a spin. She never lost any clothes or really got into much roaming but she did a decent job. On a return trip much later the girl had quit and I was talking to the owner and we talked about the lady and I told her my story about Jim. She aid they tried to keep everything legit, but a few customers only wanted a HE and they needed the cash. So they would have the customer do the first round to make sure they werent LE, the offered some limited services. Since the help has changed there were no more HE's on the menu for anyone. She had a lot of female customers and didn't want to chance getting busted and losing her legit business.
I actually went back to the place for the massages and got to know the owner who was probably really something back in the day and wasn't bad now and things kind of evolved into a real fun massage time. But kind of hit or miss depending on her mood. Still a great massage and real clear that fun time was not business, just fun.

I visited Bali a while back. I think the final game of the NBA playoffs was on that night. I was nervous at first because there was an older gentleman sitting on the sofa in the small lobby area. I spoke to him, he spoke to me and I went on inside. I don't know the ladies name but she was an older Asian lady and built like a BSH. I knew the young lady that opened and ran the place; Ocean Spa. I also visited often till it was closed. There were NO curtains but rooms with doors. Very high class girls working there and everything was on the menu for around 200. 00. Homewood is NOT a good location for an AMP as that type of establishment is quickly discovered and closed. MJ

Also gave it a whirl and, as reported, is a massage-only establishment. There is no table shower or sauna available. Just an excellent massage. Concentrates on the neck, back, glutes and legs. There is no flip to the frontside. Towel draping used in the first 30 minutes then discarded. Limited English language skills with young Chinese therapist. Great massage but no extras.

Never ever use a CC at an AMP. Not only will they tack on a service charge for using, but chances are they will goof it up. That being said.
If you want to have some fun, put the transaction in dispute with your CC company. You'll have fill out their form, but write it up like you were seeing a legitimate massage therapist, you paid with the CC, and they goofed it up and double charged you, did not provide the service they said they would, and send it in. More than likely you will get the charges reversed on your CC account.
The CC company will contact the people who handle the AMP's CC service and they have something like 30 days to reply to the dispute. If they don't respond in the 30 days your CC company will rule in your favor and reverse the charges.
I did that to the Fuji Spa in Birmingham (a long time ago) when they did a similar goof up on my CC. Since then I've only dealt with cash and only carried in the amount of cash I was willing to part with. And if they got snippy over that I told them to give me my money back and I'd go elsewhere. I have also reached over and pulled the cash back out of their hand and proceeded to the door as well.
Another tactic I've used in places I've been frequently I'll pay Mamasan for everything up front that way I don't have to haggle with the girl or have my session interrupted with money matters. Also if I know the Mamasan and the girl is getting snippy with me, I'll ask her to go get the Mamasan for me.

Been lurking here for over a year and figured I would finally post. I have only visited the VIP once, last summer (2011). I live about an hour away so I don't get to Bham much. Don't remember the girl's name (sorry) but she must have been in her late 30s. 8/10 body, a slim "butterface" with big implants. Table shower was my first; I didn't know what to expect, but she washed everything. Decent massage with a HE (which she asked if I wanted). She recognized me from there. Everything is pretty much the same as Vestavia except for the table shower, which they give you a pair of nylon like bathing suit and a bath robe to change into.
Over all excellent massage and must be running a special because they are about 25 dollars cheaper than the Vestavia one.

MM out.I hate this sort of teasing. Why do they offer a table shower if no extras are on the menu? This is a very bad business practice, like a restaurant letting you smell food but not actually taste it. My experience at Houliang was also that no extras were offered and to be honest I didn't find the girl to be attractive or personable.
One other complaint. They make you wear their swim suit for the bath? Sorry guys, I think everyone on here is probably a great guy to hang out with, but I don't want to sit my junk in the same suit that a bunch of why'all have been in too.

What is a "pair of nylon like bathing suit?" In a regular AMP, a table shower to my understanding is to eliminate any doubt as to if someone is LE. That and to clean funky downstairs if need be. I don't understand what the point of getting a table shower with a bathing suit on accomplishes. Whether a place is legit or not, the table shower needs to come after the massage when your greasy as hell and smell like eucalyptus. I know at most of the legit places where they use some sort of oil or cream, when I leave my damn clothes are sticking to me. Do they cover you up on the table like they're afraid that the world will end if ny bare skin sees the light of day. If so, you ain't getting jack as far as extras. On the other hand if they take the towel off when you're face down, then extras are to be had. From my understanding the new place on Lakeshore does that, but no one has benefited from it.

You made one of the big mistakes that you can make by using a credit card at an AMP / MP. You should determine what you are going to need to spend, and then take in cash only. There have been many ripoffs by AMP / MP's overcharging like they did you.
I'm not saying all massage parlors do this, but you don't need the aggrivation of finding extra charges on your card (and leaving a paper trail) , and then having to get the extra charges refunded.
I'm happy that you got your money back, and that all is well. You just learned a good lesson about what to watch for in our "hobby".
Just for general information, I'll give you some other hints that might help you, and some of you other guys, with our favorite pasttime.
Dirty.
1) Leave Valuables and Extra Money Outside. Only take in what you need. Some places may want to see your I'd. You will need cash. DO NOT pay with a credit card. I usually take my cell-phone, keys, and only enough money to pay for what I want. If you don't know what the charge will be, put money in different pockets or hide it in your wallet (behind a photo or something) so they don't see all your money at once. I had one girl looking in my wallet after I told her I was used to paying $100 for FS and she wanted $150. Luckily, I had already "moved" the extra money somewhere else and only paid the $100. Use the specific city forums to research and post pricing in the area you are going.
2) Entry into the AMP. Entry can be done in a number of ways. Sometimes, there is a locked door with a buzzer and sometimes you enter like a normal business. When you are greeted, smile and say Hello, to the person letting you in. They will most likely be the mama-san who is in charge of the girls. At some point, either at the front or in a massage room, you'll be asked what you want. Simply state "1 Hour Please" or whatever time limit you want. You'll be told a price and you should pay that to start without talking about any tips or extras. I recommend at least an hour as shorter times may cheapen your experience. 30 minutes is good if you are in a rush or short on cash. Sometimes you pay the person admitting you and sometimes it's the actual girl you pay. At this point, you aren't asking for anything other than a massage.
3) Become a Repeat Customer. This seems to be the number one factor. The providers want to make sure you are "not a cop" and once they are comfortable that you aren't, they will more than likely provide extras. I've been asked many times, ' have you been here before?" and it's always good to answer "yes". If they remember you, even better. If not, try and remember the name of the person you saw before.
3a) Get / Present a Business Card. Some AMPs have business cards so you can ask for one on your way out. I have the girls write their name on them so I didn't forget and I could "ask" for them when I go back. Even if they weren't there on my visit, it showed the new provider or mama-san that I was there before. If you walk in with a business card and ask for a specific girl, that's a pretty big clue you're back for more.
3b) Fake Being a Repeat Customer. If you haven't been to a particular place before, act like you have been. Get information about them in the forums for the cities you plan on visiting, or your home town. Find out the going rates for HJ, BJ, FS etc. And have the money handy. Even a little comment during the Table Shower or Sauna such as "this is my favorite part" or something along those lines will make them think you were there before. Do your research before you go!
3c) If you are a new Customer. You can tell them that you have been to other AMP's in another city. This is a good technique if you are travelling and are trying out AMP's in a new city. You can also name a competitor and say you used to go there but you moved and this one is closer or that you want to try something new. The goal is to let them know you've been to AMP's before, but that you are new to their particular establishment. Depending on the place, this may or may not lead to extras.
3d) Prove you are not LE. If a provider thinks you are a cop, you will most likely NOT get any extras. This is why some check your drivers license (although I haven't had that happen). Some are content with the "Are you a cop?"/"no" routine. Others want to be sure so tips like being free with your nudity, placing her hands on your genitals, rubbing her leg or ass, or anything else that leads them to believe you are a normal guy not looking to bust them. That's pretty much the whole point of being a repeat customer.
4) Get Fully Undressed ASAP. Yes, you will be naked. In my experience, the girl takes your door fee, leaves for a minute or more. Sometimes she will ask you to get undressed, sometimes she won't, sometimes she will and you won't understand a word she said. So use this time to take ALL of your clothes off. My first time, I was standing in my underwear and she told me to take those off too. I felt as if she knew it was my first time. So get naked and if the towel slides off, let it. It will show her that you have done this before. Be free with nudity.
5) Use Provided "Purse". Many times, you will see a little purse or bag that is there for you to put valuables in. Use it to put your "valuables" in and carry that with you to other areas of the spa. You may go to a sauna, hot-tub, shower, or table-shower. Since you won't have pockets, look for the little bag and carry it with you. If they don't have one, you can ask for one. In some places, you may just stay in the room you were brought into the entire time (no shower). In this case, you will be able to keep an eye on your things. If you are leaving the room and are worried, look for something to carry your valuables in. NOTE: Having your things in the little bag is a neat clue to the girl that you have done this before.
Generally you will find that Asian massage parlors are very honest, and you don't have to be as careful with your possessions as with 'other' massage parlor providers. Not trying to be racist here, but my experience (after 25+ years) in this hobby proves that to be true.
6) Bring your own condom. The "purse" is a great opportunity to place a condom where she can see it. If there is no purse, lay the condom on a table or somewhere that is in view. Usually, if they are providing extras, they will provide the condom. But showing the initiative to bringing your own indicates you are there for more than a massage.
7) Shower Etiquette. Some places offer a shower where you go in yourself and wash. If they don't offer, ask if there is one. Some places take you to a table-shower where they put you on a table and wash you. Some places, the girl will wash everything including your genitals. This is a good thing. Some places may ask you to wash your own genitals and I would advise you to do so if you want them to do anything later. It is not generally appropriate to ask for extras at this time. It also helps if you know where the shower is and lead her there instead of her leading you.
Revision 1: A mamasan once told me: Cops won't shower. The level of vulnerability is way too high. No badge. No gun. No wire. It's just too risky. I am sure there have been exceptions, but by taking a shower, you really help put them all at ease, not to mention your provider, who will just be happy you are clean.
8) Enjoy the Massage. It's part of the experience, and the girls usually give you a pretty good massage. If you have a stiff neck, sore legs, or something else, let her know so she can concentrate on those areas. You usually start out on your stomach and she rubs your back, legs, arms, etc. She may brush against you with her crotch, lift up her skirt and sit on your butt, and lean over brushing her body against you. Different places vary as far as touching her, but light brushing on her leg or arm aren't too intrusive and will generally let her know you are looking for extras. This isn't necessary and I usually don't "touch" her until later. This is still part of the "I'm not a cop" routine.
9) Lose the Towel. If there is a towel covering you, do everything possible to get it off of you. If it's covering your butt, roll around while she isn't near you so it gets out of position or falls to the floor. If she puts it back, lose it again. Don't be too obvious but at some point, the towel will most likely be tossed aside. If she is persistent, feel free to ask "no towel please" or something along those lines.
10) Become Aroused. Usually, the girl will try to get you aroused. She'll lighten up the touch a little around your buttocks and brush your skin gently. Shift yourself if you do become aroused to "let her know" that you need room to grow. If you aren't getting aroused, shift yourself anyway to "fake" getting aroused. This will let her know that your johnson is growing and you are getting ready. She may even reach underneath and lend a helping hand if you are lucky.
11) Wait to Flip Over. At some point, she'll ask you to flip over. When she does, simply flip over onto your back. You may or may not be aroused at this point. Either way, she'll know and she'll do everything she legally knows how to make sure you get aroused. This is a time to smile and enjoy her expertise.
12) The "Tip". The girl will usually ask if there is anything else she can do for you or if you are "OK". This is where you say what you want (HJ, BJ, FS) or make the HJ, BJ, FS "motions". She'll either say how much or just ask you for money. This is where knowing the going rate is handy. It's usually $40-$60 for HJ, $80-$100 for BJ, and $100-$140 for FS. Keep in mind that you can always negotiate and it may vary depending on where in the USA, or world, you are. She may leave for a minute or two or she may just start right there. The key to negotiating is getting a fair value. If you offer $20 for FS and she accepts, it will probably be the worst FS ever. If you overpay, then you ruin the great value of the AMP. So try not to stray too far above or below the going rate. I usually offer at the low end (I. E. $100 for FS) and say that's what I'm used to paying. Tell her what you want and a price you want to pay. She'll most likely be reluctant to give you pricing. One thing some guys recommend is leaving the tip out in advance. But, I know some guys here recommend strongly against it, but I have always found it works to strip down, lie down, and have the money sitting on the counter before the girl returns to the room. The only times I've ever had to haggle is when I didn't do that.
13) The Fun Part. When she returns (or starts) , it's generally acceptable that you can now touch her. She may or may not like you to and you have to respect her individual level of comfort. I've had girls get completely naked, sit between my legs, and give me a HJ as well as one that stands there fully clothed doing it. I can't predict what will happen but this will affect your decision to return or not return. If you are getting BJ or FS, she will most likely provide and put on the condom (which I recommend) and she'll start. If you brought your own, she may use that one. Again, if you want to be on top, do it doggie-style, or want her on top, they are generally open to how you want to do it.
14) Variations. If you are into DATY or other things, be up front with it. I've done DATY on a number of girls and some get into it and some don't. Some enjoy when you touch and finger them and some don't. Some will let you massage them and some won't. I've never looked for Anal so I can't give advice on that. Some places will only give HJ. So be aware and look for advice in your local forums.
15) Happy Ending. After the ending, she'll usually clean you up or get rid of the condom if there was one used. Sometimes, a hot towel, a beverage, and even mouthwash are provided. If you paid for an hour and you finish early, you may or may not get the full time limit. Some girls will continue the massage, some will tell you to get dressed. This is another area where different places differ greatly. If you feel cheated out of your time, feel free to express your opinion.
16) Be Polite. I use this motto in life, but the providers are people just like you and me, and they like being treated with respect. During the massage, try giving out a compliment such as "that feels nice" or "your hands are so soft" instead of something like "you have nice tits" or "I can't wait to f*k you". I find that being nice goes a lot farther than acting like an ass. Talk to them like you'd talk to a new friend.
17) Learn the Language. If you can learn Korean / Chinese / etc, you will most likely have an easier time communicating what you want in an AMP. The most difficult part is telling them what you want or trying to listen to their broken english. You'll most likely find yourself in a vulnerable position making the "BJ" motion followed by a dollar amount. Learning their native tongue, or a few phrases, can improve your experience.
18) Post Your Experience. We don't need every detail, but posting in the city forum where the AMP / Spa is located will help everyone with certain details of locations and pricing and if anything beyond a massage happened. Price and extras vary from region to region. If you get ripped off at a place, tell us that too and we'll appreciate you "taking one for the team.
This is just based on my experience in AMPs over the last 30+ years, as well as some tips I've picked up from other hobby mongers. If you have some additional helpful hints, please add them to the list. It will help all of us who are in the 'hobby'.
