Normally I don't do the strip club scene in New Haven. I either go up to Stiletto in Nanuet, NY or I make the trip up to Bridgeport. Thus, it was unusual for me to be at Stagedoor Johnny's place last night. They had Kandi Hart, a xxx-film star who specializes in the Barely Legal type movies by Hustler (and who appears in several Hustler movies), and she was featuring for the second weekend in a row. I missed her the first time around but she was still in town and agreed to fill in when the reguarly scheduled feature dancer was a no-show. She's a sexy little hottie who puts on a great stage show, including a dildo show. Apparently, some of the features, especially the porn stars, can get carried away on stage and put on some awesome shows. I'm going to have to make it a point to hit up Stagedoor more in the future.

I was at SDJ's last night and on my way out I picked up a copy of Extreme magazine. Inside there was an ad for Crazy Horse Adult Cabaret coming in September and the address given was that of SDJ's. Just found that to be interesting. The place really needs some new life put into it!
So for reasons unbeknownst to me, I started playing at SDJ somewhat recently. So, what happens? You meet a girl, and for me, you want more. I'm sure there has to be take out, just wondering if I am spinning my wheels. Now, I know the answer - time and cash will probably win the race, which is why I'm looking for intel. I am interested in Niki. Anyone, anyone? Dirty blond, maybe a 7 all around but in that place she definitely stands out ;-) So my predicament is this - I play in Bridgeport where it is cheap and there are no pretenses. SDJ I fully understand is more about separating you from your cash. Unfortunately I have been "spoiled" by the 'port - but I am more than intrigued to win me some take out with her. Any info known would be appreciated - pm's are more than fine. BTW the indicators are there that she may be inclined (and I won't indicate what I mean here), I think I just need more time ...or is she a terrific actress? Maybe both.

This was mid-week. There were 4 girls that ranged from 4 to 9. One tall black chick was hot. Long legs, curly hair, great ass. The guy sitting at the bar with me said Lap dances were 25. he didn't know much else.
I got the impression extras would be hard to get. Will take one for the team next time I pass by.
PS. cover is 5. I convinced the fugly girl at the desk I was just staying for 1 beer and she waived the cover but restricted me to the bar. Budweiser was 4.

Gindee's is older than most of the mongers on this board - lol. It is exactly what you described. I have never gotten an extra in the place never mind take-out and they are crazy to charge 25 for a dance. I went there one thanksgiving with a bunch of friends. The woman on stage had her finger up in herself while she told us how she made her turkey that day and all the cooking she did before she had to come to work. I haven't been to this joint in years though I do drive by it almost weekly now while working. I probably set foot in here maybe three or four times. It never did much for me, as a professional hobbyist even if I live next door to this place I probably wouldn't frequent it much. Average talent, no extras..blah. And $25 dances now!? I'm finding that trend that caught on a few years back (places taking on the extra 5 for dances) is fading. I think with the economy now some clubs realized it's a bad time to try to get greedy in this industry. I mean that adds up, a C note now gets you 4 dances instead of 5. Come on. Back to Gin Dee's it's the kind of strip club that as you're having your first (and usually only) beer you're thinking about the next titty joint you're going to go to. Anyone ever go into Pier 34? It's in Oxford by the water on Rt 34. Looks like a little dump, I've heard the girls are hideous. It's got to be the only strip club on this side of the state I've never set foot in.
Gindees use to be the old House of Zodiac, great legit pickup joint back in the late 60's early 70's, why the large dance floor and bar area, damm am I aging myself, wait, my dad told me about it, nose just grew; anyways, I have not been inside in a few years, my buddy got his car broken into one night and we have not gone back since.

AHH...good old GinDees. The place has really cleaned up in recent years...but then again other than being condemed, there was really no where to go but up.
The girls can range as described, but I wouldn't hold my breath. Probably the best ever was a girl of recent...Emma. Blonde nice rack, maybe about 5'6''. She tried the accent thing, but just didn't work. Also tried to tell me how she was in construction or some BS. Claims to be from the RI area and dances at the clubs up there. Also have heard she was spotted at BC in Bpt. In 15 years, never seen, heard, or had any extras here. Also, the mirror is a 2 way mirror so the bartender can keep an eye on things. If the door is closed, someone is probably inside watching. As for the chairs and the LD area, dont even get me started.
$25 a dance is a crock as the house does take some back from the girls, maybe up to $10. The beer bottles are typically slimy and not as cold as they could/should be.
Also the cover sucks for this place. I have stopped at "happy hour" and tried getting wacked $5, plus $5 for a beer.
I stop in 2-3 times a year, just to keep tabs on things.

I have been there 2 times. Had to TOFTT. Its a dive bar with old hags. When I was there, I just stopped in for a beer and to get a feel for the place. You walk in, the bar is on the left and on the right there is a pool table, maybe 2. The stage area is about 12x12 and its straight in just past the bar.
The LD area is basically a booth seat from a diner. Its wide open opposite the stage. No curtain, no bushes, no nothing. Just wide open. There were 2 women working. My grandmother and yours.
The next time I went, there were 3 girls working. Our grandmothers and that guys aunt. I took my $$ else where (probably GinDees LOL) and continued my night.

Her name had something to do with music like staff notes, Gcleff, music bars.... Sorry, I can't for the life of me recall the actual musical term. Anybody know who this girl is? Is now know as Crazy Horse Cabaret and it is still a strip club. They are still open during renovations which started on Monday. Hopefully the new people involved turn this place in to what it used to be,a great strip club with quality girls.

SNI can confirm this. It is still a strip club. Now under new ownership / management. They're remodeling the inside. So far, it looks a lot less like a bar and more like a strip club than it used to: better, more comfortable seating; dimmer light away from the stage. Can't vouch for any personnel changes yet. Last time I visited was a month ago. They may be all set now with the work finished.

Was back there a few nights ago, seems a few girls have migrated from the other place in town, Catwalk, as it is reportedly getting pretty rough over there. Gang members coming in, wearing colors, large groups of them all together (10+). Girls who have come over from catwalk are a blonde, Tiffany (?) , and brunette Lotus. May be more as well, but those are the two I've heard of. They both have sweeet azzes.
I haven't been to this place in about 6 years. There were never many dancers and if you wanted a LD it was right out in the open on a little raised section of the club with the bouncer sitting only feet away from us. One of those "sit on your hands" type of places.
I ultimately wound up driving all the way to Bridgeport to Scruples or Ruby's after a night of races in New Haven. Loooks more promising now, will have to give it a shot soon.

The quality of girls hasn't change too much at Crazy Horse under new management (at least yet) , but the atmosphere is much better and most of the girls give fairly aggressive extras-free dances. There are promises of extras in the VIP area, but nights that I've found a worthy option and nights that I've had cash to spend haven't matched up yet. Also, there are at least 2 "ladies" in that place that I'm very suspicious of, so you might want to check them out in the light by the bar before agreeing to a dance if you're approached in one of the dark corners.

I've been with her a couple times in a couple different clubs. Same song and dance with her. She is all business. Amazing body hot little spinner, but thats as far as it goes with her. Her LD's are just that. Tried to score a trip with her and her friend Lauren (blonde HOT 22 yr old 34 DD) but it was a no go with either of them.
All in all, they are both great to look at and watch, but it really ends there.

Visited catwalk briefly this evening on my way home from another engagement, got there about 2:15am (thurs morning). Was very pleasantly surprised to see some new faces since the last time I had been in, namely jordan and riley. They were both young and attractive, in very good shape, with flat stomachs and pretty faces. Jordan had dark hair and was tall and slender. Riley was blonde with curvy hips and an ass I wanted to drool over. Didn't stay long or get any dances, but new faces-pretty ones at that-are always a welcome sight in my book.

Stopped by on a sat night a couple weeks ago, place was pretty hoppin'. Probably 20-30 patrons, a few were females with their bf's. I probably saw about 10-12 girls. I would give average rating of maybe 6, but that might go up. So many of them were stick thin. Not my type. I mean, I like a girl who keeps herself in good shape and has a nice flat tummy and tight bod, but these girls were the type to make me worry about breaking them in the normal course of events. But if that's your thing, there was a good selection. Even beyond that, there were definitely some attractive figures. One black girl who was very pretty and had excellent curves / figure (unfortunately for me, black girls not my thing, either). Also one dancer who aggressively molested me with her hard sell. Needless to say that didn't go anywhere, although she was fairly attractive and much more my type than most of the others: fairly tall, brunette, nice figure, decent face. She got a lot of dances with other guys, it looked like. Also, another one of my favorites from catwalk (isis, half-asian, beautiful, med-tall, athletic, small tits, great stomach / legs) has migrated there.
News about the place is that since it became crazy horse / new management took over, there's a new (more relaxed) dance area and system. There's a full wall / curtain up between dance area and floor now (not just some hanging beads) , and your mileage is up to the dancer, so familiarity / friendliness / extra tipping may earn you some bonus hand placement (I assume. Didn't have any dances on most recent visit). As always, YMMV, but it seems like there's the possibility of an actual quality dance now (though I doubt if any extras are going on. Maybe Maybe in the VIP).

Did a trip there recently. Lots of dancers. Quality has definetly gone up. New girl by the name of jules / jewels hispanic spinner lots of tats was be far one of the better girls of the night. Catwalk is a juice bar. So you can bring your own drinks. Which, imo, is a big score for a BYOB bachelor party. As far as the dancers, they run the gambit. But never met a stunner there. This is one of my favorite spots to bring strippers I date, however. Have done so for years.
Place may be a bit small if you are bring a huge crowd of guys, but if its a few ardent gents, it might be fun.
If you are considering Bridgeport, just remember not to bring gents where you might get recognized. Very few gents who hit the strip clubs expect to get any action or serious play out of the deal.

Went recently. It is now called Key Club and I can confirm it goes 250% ghetto. Glad none of us wore gang colors by mistake. I have never seen so many women in the audience getting action from the dancers. Unfortunately they were more hideous than the dancers. Dancers are 99% thick black women who seemed to be in some kind of contest to see who can slam their fat asses into your crotch the hardest. My balls still hurt. One and only one truly hot girl.

At regular bar closing time, the folks from VanDome flock to this place and it gets packed. The reports of the ghetto-ness and phat azz girls are all true.
I took some out of town clients / friends here one night...we were the only 5 (3 guys/2girls) in the place. Cover was also $20 and it was only the nude side that was open.
I will say this, the girls working were making bank and there was a solid stream going in and out of the LD area. Girls were really working.
If you like tossin 1's to big, BIG phat ass, flooy tit black girls, this it your place. If not, go someplace else and good luck.

Maybe 2 girls worth the attention. 7 girls total. I was visiting New Haven and decided to take the chance. The club is a short drive east of the main downtown area— there seemed to be a lot of street parking in what appeared to be a more run-down neighborhood. It didn't seem wholly unsafe but there was definitely some sketchiness there.
Entered and was invited to pay the $10 cover and was informed of the "2 drink minimum". Immediately to the right of the entrance is the main room with bar on the left, a very large main stage in the center and a 4 foot wall on the right side of the room behind which was the lap dance area. Further down the right side was an entrance to the "Steakhouse". This just appeared to be another room with another dancing stage, another bar, and a set of restrooms.
I went to the steakhouse bar and ordered a Corona + lime $7 from a barmaid who was really cute and friendly. She was actually way better looking than any of the dancers. There was an older guy there chatting with (up) the bartender and there some dancers on their phones, eating dinner and getting drinks from him. Large screen tv's had college basketball on.
After my drink, I went to the bathroom (okay not scary) and came out and one of the dancers, Monica, who was sitting with us at the steakhouse room bar told me about the club. Lap dances are $20 to the dancer and $5 to the club (total $25) and paid ahead of time at the booth where the cover was paid. I got two laps and there was a lot of two way touching everywhere (the southern areas were all covered). So then we went back for VIP. 15 minutes for $150 although Monica quoted me $200 - $150 for the club and $50 for her. Back in the VIP my sense is that you could easily have a wide own menu with the correct girl but as always YMMV. Monica had a pretty limited menu but I ended up satisfied. All in all, it wasn't cheap but I had fun.

As an editorial comment it looks like a pretty dangerous set up, especially since most of the dancers are wearing very high heels as they have to step over spaces to get to different parts of the stage. The club is clean and non-smoking — a huge plus for me.
There were only about six dancers there, and the most attractive one, Daphne, caught my eye. She did a reasonably enticing pole dance and had a killer body. After I tipped her on the stage, she gathered up her materials and to my delight walked right up to me and started talking. She was Brazilian and had been dancing at the club for several months. She stated that the evening was pretty slow. I took her back to the lap dance area (which is pretty wide-open, a room separate from the bar that is modestly raised and has some beaded curtains. There are a number of chairs that are arranged around the room and if there was more than one lap dance going on, there would be very little privacy) and fortunately, we were the only ones there. She was incredibly sweet and sexy and there was ample two-way touching. She actually encouraged playing with her gorgeous breasts (man-made and very nicely done). Dances were $20 each and I really enjoyed myself — doubt that any extras could be had given the set-up. I had a great time but primarily because of Daphne. None of the other dancers did anything for me — sort of lucked out in that regard. I would go back if I knew Daphne was working. Otherwise, there might be better SCs around for your time and money.

I have spent may hours in the LD area but never went for VIP because it's like $200 minimum and you have to buy a bottle of champagne for like $75. Total rip off.
Next time you go ask Angela the owner / bartender the cost of VIP.

It has a dirty broken couch in it, or at least it did. I was suckered in once by a girl a long time ago. There were no extras offered and I tried like hell. Never tried it again, but for a straight up strip club experience I still like keepers, IMO it has some of the better looking and nice to talk to and drink with girls in new Haven county. Just plan on keeping it in your pants 99% of the time. The 1% is for the Handy I had gotten on a few occasions from a day shift girl whom I haven't seen there in years.

I finally decided to check out a club in the area, only moved up a few minutes the ago. Looked at some reviews and decided to give keepers a try. I was pleasantly surprised for a Sunday evening.
There were probably 5 girls really working that night and was accosted almost immediately after walking in and up to the bar. I would have liked a bit more time but she was good to talk to, I believe her name was Jasmine. Of course she asked for a dance but I told her to come back later once I was at least a drink in.

It appears they have 2 facebook pages one for planet Venus cabaret which last post was 2019 and one for planet Venus caberat & steakhouse which has been getting some updates throughout the summer. If they're not open yet maybe this means there's at least hope.

Keepers in Milford is posting on social media today that they're going to open this week. Thur-Sat 2 pm-9:30 pm.
I believe the requirement is that they have to serve food to be open as a restaurant.

They are open but they are heavily restricted and doing there best to follow all the rules. There are single chairs spaced 10' apart at the bar. The $5 cover gets you a hot dog. There is basically only 1 girl per shift. They dance on stage for a few minutes behind glass barriers then she tried to mingle a bit. The LD area is what I can best describe as a table dance. There is a seat for you and a taped off area for the girl to dance 6' away from you. I didn't partake. I had some good convo with the the bartender as she remembered me. Just about all the old girls have not come back. Marina has not been heard from in months and is assumed to be back in Brazil. Same for Bruna. I hate that this review is discouraging to this place because I had many fun days and nights here getting shitfaced with some of these girls but I did not have close to the same experience as the old days. I feel bad for the staff, there was a lot of good people I've met there over the years.

I've driven by Catwalk in the last month twice. Eight on a Thursday and 10 PM on a Saturday. Does not appear to be open. I also heard that they may not reopen but, she has kept her business license etc. That Venus from being able to get the foothold.
Keepers is consistently a good place to get high-mileage dances, reasonable bar and cute dancers. I'm not saying you'll find a 10 in there! I usually find a cool chick or 3 who want to hang out, throw back a few shots and likes to get fresh in the back. In all my years of going there, you'll never get action in the back. Girls and very friendly if you smell nice and are respectful.
The few nights I've been there, there were maybe 6-8 girls rotating amongst the 15-20 patrons. Everyone had a chance to get a chance. Currently, it's $5 at the door and $5 every time you want to take a girl to the back. I know everyone is going to have an opinion on this. Mine is that $5 isn't a big deal if you plan on having 2-3 dances with whomever you're bringing in the back. So buy a girl a drink, chat her up, get some chemistry going and then have a few dances.
On that side of the shoreline, you're only other options are Bridgeport. There aren't that many places around New Haven where you have non-pros going to make a little change on the side. I've had my days at Ruby's and Bishops Corner. But every time I'm driving by, I actually want to stop by Keepers and see what's going on.

I visited yesterday. My first time here in a few years. It looks like they've given the place a permanent halloween / circus theme. Tacky decorations everywhere. I say permanent because they put Christmas decorations on top of the halloween ones, like santa hats on the zombie statues, etc. It's pretty much a dive but that's part of the appeal.
Pretty busy Friday night. I think there were 12 dancers and about 40 customers. Seating was limited and a lot of us had to just stand. Most of the girls were grade C with a few Bs and B+s. They didn't circulate much. I had my eye on a big butt latina with a pretty face but couldn't get her attention. I got tired of standing around so when I just walked over and introduced myself when I saw she was free.
I took her to the crummy little lapdance area called the Fun House. Not much privacy when it's full of other customers. And a camera in the room as well. My dancer allowed touching everywhere and some kissing. I asked about the VIP room and she quoted something like $150 for 15 minutes. She said she couldn't do much in there though because of cameras. I had a hotel room nearby and suggested that she come by later. She said she wasn't able to on this particular night but was open to working something out and gave me her number. So we'll see where it goes.

Q1.New Haven is a ways from Groton, you may want to look at New London or Norwich. I think you've got two strip clubs in Groton, Minx and another up the rd that just has dancers on the weekends. That's about all I can tall ya.
