Let me understand this. A61 insults all black people with a racist joke because he doesn't like Obama's politics, instead of just discussing it in a civil manner. You think anyone insulted should just "get over it". They should be the ones to change their behavior and accept prejudice. A61 is not being asked by you to stop with the insults. Any comment made about George Bush would first and foremost be insulting to Dubya himself. Secondly it would have been offensive to Nazis. A whole different thing. He wasn't made fun of because he was a white. He was made fun of because of his policies.

I object to you or Agent61 using the word "communism" or "socialism" for that matter because you haven't the faintest idea of what they are. As typical of the Fox News crowd, you assign a negativity about it the way you do with "leftist" or "liberal". It's dangerous to use words you don't understand. So any comments you make about it are worthless.
I am not going to give you a whole lecture, but just to start you off and get you to the library:
- In the strictest sense of Marxism, there has never been a true communist state.
- Communist parties do not mean undemocratic. Communist parties have won ELECTIONS and maintained multi-party democracies. Isn't this what the right wing wants? Free and democratic elections?

I agree that there is a right and wrong, but our definitions may differ. Protecting one's country, of course. Protecting national and international interests, maybe. I say maybe because it is a vague concept which can be defined very easily by whoever is president. For instance, if the country was in need of a certain natural resource, it would not be right to invade another country just to gain access to it.

Your redistributing the wealth comment. This is more propaganda. No offense, but for whatever reason you have been fooled. Your money is already being redistributed… to the wealthy.
If you work for someone, you are creating wealth for yourself and him. How much you get depends on him.

If you have health care, which is ultimately always paid by you, 30% goes to administrative costs and not health care (as opposed to a government plan which would use only 5%, I think. I know it was in the single digits). That difference is used to pay high paid execs, lobbyists, etc. If you had a plan that was $1200 a month, the extra 25% would be $300 month. I bet those guys never even bought you a beer.

If you pay taxes, a lot of your dollars are going to various corporate welfare plans. (An estimated $92 billion in 2006)
The US spends quite a bit of your dollars on agricultural subsidies. The majority of the money does not go to the small independent farmers but to the large agribusiness corporations.

That's the problem. The fair and balanced News station is anything but. It is a mouthpiece for the Republican party. Fox's founder and president, Roger Ailes is a long time Republican operative and a veteran of the Nixon and Reagan presidential campaigns.

(1) A majority of scientists do not say "global warming" is a reality. The warmists are in the minority.

(2) Science does not work by the consensus process. So, even if every single scientist in the world held that "global warming" was a reality, that does not make it so (to quote Capt. Picard). Science works by the scientific method, which includes the peer review process. Funny thing about the warmists: They didn't want their "data" to go through that peer review process, and they destroyed (or claimed to have "accidentally" done so) their original data. That kinda says it all right there.

Regarding your claim to be a "social Democrat" instead of a "liberal Socialist" that's a difference without a distinction. Unless you're referring to the political party that exists in Germany and other countries (or even if you are), the end result is hardly any different from traditional Socialism and Marxism. Only the paths to get to the end result are different. But all types of socialism, by one means or another, are redistributive and seek to transfer wealth from those who earned it to those who did not earn it. Usually, though, the proponents of socialism (of whatever brand is being promoted) tend to exempt themselves from the tentacles of that system. They prefer to luxuriate in the benefits of the system they are fighting against (i.e., capitalism).

Tell you what, Preppie: After you've successfully run a business (a real business, not some flea-bitten bookstore or New Age trinket shop), after you've had to make payroll, after you've had to work 80-plus hours a week in order to get that business up-and-running, after you've had to deal with crushing government regulation, after you've had to fork over 50% or more of any profits you've managed to eke out, after you've sacrificed by driving a "beater" car and gone without the luxuries that all your neighbors had (and while they were voting for the leftists on the ballot), then get back to us here and tell us how wonderful socialism is.

The point is, we can barely tolerate the socialism that's already been imposed on us. Social democrats are not against private enterprise like socialists or marxists, we just want a system of publicly funded programs for our citizens. Did you ever stop to consider just who it is that funds those "publicly funded programs" like welfare, etc.? It's the poor working stiffs who have to fork over ever-increasing amounts of the money they make in order to enact the Socialist Utopias that people like Obama, Pelosi, Kennedy (good riddance), Bawney Fwank, Schmucky Schumer, Harry Reid, and all the rest of the extremist Lefties in Washington want to impose upon America. No, sonny. Social Democrats just want to tax the hell out of everyone, using the power of government and the force of law, in order to fund those "publicly funded programs."

Don't believe me, RESEARCH. A large part of Europe has social programs, I guess they're all just lying around with nobody working.As a matter of fact, France is a perfect example of a socialist country where folks are lying around not working. The reason? So many companies left (hmmm, apt word that) France for greener pastures due to the high taxes and regulations, that the result was...Wait for it!...not enough jobs to go around. That's why they reduced the workweek to 35 hours from 40 hours a number of years ago. And, in Sweden, "citizens" pay about 75% of their earnings to the government in terms of taxes and such. My, what a great place to live and work! (Maybe that's why God gave that country lots of big-titted blondes. It takes their minds off of the high taxes. Otherwise, the whole population would up and leave. After all, someone's gotta live there.)

You're welcome to take your cues from Europe, if you want. Just don't try to peddle them over here, where freedom (still) rings in spite of your ilk. As for me, I don't really care to have to work till May 5th in order to pay what the government takes from the average taxpayer. I'd prefer to keep most of what I earn. Let the government take only what it needs, to provide for the common defense and a few other necessities. As for all the social programs that have been enacted (and, largely, failed) since FDR and LBJ, I say: Sunset them.

And, if you make 6 figures on 10 hours per week, more power to ya, baby. That's the great American story. Now, why do you want to enact laws and socialist programs that are almost gauranteed to prevent others from achieving the same as you? Afraid that, if the serfs get too much money, you won't have anyone that'll want to work for you, hmmm?

Our country was a little more cohesive when most everyone got their news from the same source. Bring back Walter Cronkite.Ah, yes, bring back the man who lied about our soldiers' success in the Tet Offensive, the man who said immediately afterward (despite the fact that our boys destroyed the Viet Cong in that battle) that "we've lost the war in Vietnam." Yeah, bring back that lying SOB, the so-called "Most Trusted Man in America." (Of course, back then, we didn't have the additional channels for fact-checking that we do nowadays. Obviously he's a political operative with an agenda to spread his political views, quite probably under the direction of one of many politically organized groups that are organized with the specific intent of sending their volunteers out onto the "blogosphere" to influence whoever they can. These organized groups often provide their volunteers with updated talking points, pre-written political messages to be posted by the volunteers in blogs and forums, and even pre-written jokes that the volunteers may post elsewhere in said forums to camouflage their true political intentions.

I've observed this phenomenon in my other forums, so I guess it was only a matter of time before these political operatives would infest the USASG.

Anyway, if you not a sport-fucking enthusiast, then you can't participate in this forum, period.

Based on your recently banned user post I for the 1st time looked at this section of the board, as I do not come here for political discussion, it has nothing to do with what I look for from this forum.

However I have formed one opinion having previewed this thread a bit, and it should be renamed. "Republican Lovefest, anyone with a different view prepare to be flamed"
While there are certainly a few people who have take opposite points of view the majority of posters in this section seem to slant in one direction. Right, wrong or indifferent. It confirms to me what I thought before hand, political discussion on a forum of this type is of absolutely no value to me. I do not think I will be checking in on this area anymore.

So with that I will give you my one opinion, feel free to disagree, does not matter, it is just opinion. The Obama picture was racist, and not funny. Trying to hide racism as humor is potentially dangerous. This should not be the place for it.

I feel your pain, but I'm not on board with the solution.

I grew up in a largely Black area because my parents were just poor working class, never believed in taking welfare.
I spent my free time in Down town Miami, N. Miami and N. Miami Beach.
30 years ago these areas were thriving metropolises, relatively safe with amazing store fronts and lots of nice, friendly White people.

Then, under the guides of equality and multiculturalism, the Social Democrats thought it would be a good idea to destroy these communities by flooding them with third world immigrants and HUD subsidies to the Black areas to allow them to buy homes, they could not afford, across town and gel everyone into a single "balanced" community.

Now these areas are basically a toilet, low end businesses, empty, boarded up store fronts and hostile streets after the working White and Jewish mostly left there to do what industrious people do best, make a new community, safe from the barbaric sub cultures.

But like a cancer, the sub-culture spreads and the result is crazy high property taxes, crime and a police officer every other block.

I feel empathy for the kids growing up today, all of them, White, Black, Latin or whatever.

Perhaps in another 30 years these areas will be revived, but it's not going to happen under the current Socialist President's administration.

He was distributing the Nation of Islam flier, so I gave him a buck and started reading some of the non-sense there.

My cat sleeps about 20 hours a day.

He has his food prepared for him. He can eat whenever he wants, 24/7/365. His meals are provided at no cost to him.

He visits the Dr. once a year for his checkup, and again during the year if any medical needs arise. For this He pays nothing, and nothing is required of him.

He lives in a nice neighborhood in a house that is much larger than he needs, but he is not required to do any upkeep.

If He makes a mess, someone else cleans it up. He has his choice of luxurious places to sleep.

He receives these accommodations absolutely free.

He is living like a king, and has absolutely no expenses whatsoever.

All of his costs are picked up by others who go out and earn a living every day.

I was just thinking about all this, and suddenly it hit me like a brick in the head, My cat is an Obama supporter!

As a matter of fact, France is a perfect example of a socialist country where folks are lying around not working. The reason? So many companies left (hmmm, apt word that) France for greener pastures due to the high taxes and regulations, that the result was...Wait for it!...not enough jobs to go around. That's why they reduced the workweek to 35 hours from 40 hours a number of years ago. And, in Sweden, "citizens" pay about 75% of their earnings to the government in terms of taxes and such. Even the poor French youth are getting less productive. This year they could not surpass their mark of trashing cars they set last year:

Cap and trade also has a bad effect on jobs. A couple years ago a steel foundry closed up shop in the UK, elininating some 1500 or so good paying jobs. They then set up shop in India. Although the fact that cheaper labour in India (whihc has no cap and tax) and the fact their governemnt subsidized the building of a new foundry one of the main reasons the company choose to leave is that they could sell their carbon credits and make more money doing this than they could by making steel. Of course carbon credits have no real value. If it were not for the government saying they had value and creating a market for them they would not exist. Plus along the way there are those who will make money by buying and reselling the carbon credits, this taking money out of the economy for themselves and creating nothing of value.

Q. What is the purpose of this payment?

A. The plan is for you to use the money to purchase a high-definition TV set, thus stimulating the economy.

Q. But isn't that stimulating the economy of China?

A. Shut up.

Below is some helpful advice on how to best help the USA economy by spending your stimulus check wisely:

* If you spend the stimulus money at Wal-Mart, the money will go to China or Sri Lanka.

* If you spend it on gasoline, your money will go to the Arabs.

* If you purchase a computer, it will go to India, Taiwan or China.

* If you purchase fruit and vegetables, it will go to Mexico, Honduras and Guatemala.

* If you buy an efficient car, it will go to Japan or Korea.

* If you purchase useless stuff, it will go to Taiwan.

* If you pay your credit cards off, or buy stock, it will go to management bonuses and they will hide it offshore.

Instead, keep the money in America by:

1) Spending it at yard sales, or

2) Going to ball games, or

3) Spending it on prostitutes, or

4) Beer or

5) Tattoos.

(These are the only American businesses still operating in the USA)

Conclusion:

John was in the chicken business. He had several hundred young layers (hens) , called 'pullets', and ten roosters to fertilize them. He kept records, and any rooster not performing went into the soup pot and was replaced.

This took a lot of time, so he bought some tiny bells and attached them to his roosters. Each bell had a different tone, so he could tell from a distance, which rooster was performing. Now, he could sit on the porch and fill out an efficiency report by just listening to the bells.

John's favorite rooster, Obama, was a very fine specimen, but this morning he noticed Obama's bell hadn't rung at all! When he went to investigate, he saw the other roosters were busy chasing pullets, bells-a-ringing, but the pullets, hearing the roosters coming, would run for cover.

To John's amazement, Obama had thought of a way to do it without work, he had his bell in his beak, so it couldn't ring. He'd sneak up on a pullet, do his job and walk on to the next one.

John was so proud of Obama, he entered him in the Chicago County Fair and he became an overnight sensation among the judges.

The result was the judges not only awarded Obama the No Bell Piece Prize but they also awarded him the Pulletsurprise as well.

Clearly Obama was a politician. Who else but a politician could figure out how to win two of the most highly coveted awards on our planet by being the best at sneaking up on the populace and screwing them when they weren't paying attention.
