I read a review on her on TER. She absolutely refused to do anything sexual. I think it was a DIY deal. She said the guy owed her $100 cancellation fee. He gave her $40 for her time. She had a male driver, btw. Then, in a few minutes, he gets a call from some female talking about a $100 cancellation fee. Total rip off. Brittany Monroe has been around a long time. A looooooong time. She talks-the-talk, has good photographs but simply cannot consistently deliver what she promises. She always seems to outlast the negative posts to capture newer people unaware and relieve them of their hard-earned money.
Other website forums on this topic easily confirm her antics as well. A little research goes a long way. Fortunately, she has never received any of mine. I'm sorry she took yours.
(I'm sure that she must have some regulars who she connects well with. However, those people seem to be few & far between based on the reporting I have read out there.)

And you are correct; it is about more than a quick buck. Many escorts have totally forgotten this fact entirely. In their quest to steal the quick buck, many of them have forgotten that earning repeat business can easily add up to thousands of dollars spent with them over time.
Which is why I monger more often than I used to. A rip-off is a bad experience regardless if it is $25/hh or $250/hr. I would rather hope for a positive $25/hh SW experience that have an unscrupulous escort empty my wallet for ten times that amount.

That is why I sent you the link to see if she was one in the same. After reading good reports about the bench at Walgreens I decided to give it a shot. I drove by and saw a redhead and pulled into the lot. She walked to my car and inrtoduced herself as Suzy. She agreed on full service for 40.

Those of you who have been in to see me, know that I hate another site. I have gained a few clients from that site, but not enough to really make or break me. Because of the spiritual erotic nature of my massage rituals, I didn't believe that another site was a proper vehicle for my work. Someone started a profile page there on me, without my permission or knowledge, and I have tried to get it removed to no avail. As I noted before that I have never seen Nicole in person due to the phone conversations that we had. Well, the photos are good, but the offers are TGTBT. It is the old, "Sign up to be verified for my safety" scam. But, the sign up asks for a CC#. I checked the terms, and it was a one day free site, but would automatically recharge in 24 hours for $99. 89 if you didn't cancel. No way in hell I am giving out a CC#! But, then you get an e-mail from the "provider" giving you crap about not signing up. Amazing what auto script can do now.
Just thought I would give a heads up to everyone.

Seriously, if you are new you can find a safe bet on a few sites, and get references.

Never bring your CCs', bring your Drivers License though, some girls like to see it.

When she arrives at your friend's home and starts her spiel, you step out of closet or bathroom. Say, "Hey, remember me, the guy who you ripped off the other day?"
No, you still won't get your money back...But it will teach them that if they rip guys off, it will come back to haunt them.
I don't advocate using threats or any sort of violence, of course. However, if someone blatantly steals from you, you don't have to take that lying down. At the very least, call their number eight times a day for the next week and demand your money back.

Did feel the need to warn people, though. You would hope the Covington LEO might actually do something, since this is one that poses a risk of someone actually getting hurt (though I'm really doubting the scrawny little d-bag with the knife was much interested in doing any serious time).

Had to go to my archive for this one. It occured July 2009 so I have no idea if THIS particular girl is still conducting this scam, but this is a classic MO to watch out for. Definately beware if your potential date lives on Ross Ave in Price Hill and meets the description below. As a post script, I did report this annonomously via Crime Stoppers out of concern for observations that were made while inside the house. This is copy/past job of the entire original report because beyond the address and her description it is good training material for how quickly what appears to be a legit situation will spiral into a rip off. You need to be aware of such a scam, but you can only guage your actions on what is presented at that moment. Keep in mind that your primary goal is to live so that you may monger another day:
I am sorry to report that I let my guard down and did not follow the rules which resulted in getting popped for .4 by a chatline girl. She lives in (East?) Price Hill on Ross Ave and was using the name "Alicia". Description is about 5'6", skinny and pale and maybe tipping the scale at 115lbs. Short hair to about her chin and it was black, but it did not appear to be her natural color. Forgot to double check what the forum rules are for posting phone numbers, so to play it safe I will mask a couple of her digits: 3**-5387.
She was very low key, articulate and personable on the phone. She was using the typical "looking for fun with a generous guy" on her chatline greeting. We had a few back and forth messages and then maybe talked for 5 minutes on phone before arranging the date. Her story was that she lived alone, worked as a server in a restaurant, and did this as a part timer when there was a need for the extra cash.
Called her when I hit her street. She came outside to greet me as I parked on the street. We then head inside the white two story house. I survey the downstairs and no one else present. She says we can head upstairs and I followed to a small bedroom that was very unkept. She says to get comfortable and I get as far as removing my shoes and she slips off her top and unbuttons her jeans before saying that we need to take care of business. Felt comfortable with her at this point and without even thinking forked over the agreed upon .4 She then does an immediate about face and says she is going to take the cash downstairs and it was at this point I now realized that I was most likely going to get taken.
Now the thinking begins with the CORRECT head about how can I salvage this and perhaps get out of there WITH the .4 but she now returns to the room with her shirt back on and is on the phone acting all distraught. She hangs up and then says "you are going to have to leave because my husband is on his way back" and then again exits the room. I quickly reapply my shoes and head downstairs where she mentions something about him not going to be very happy to find me there, but then follows up with "can I come with you and we will go somewhere".
Well, my first goal was to get out of that house in one piece so I say sure come on. I am thinking that once in a secure location, I can either get the service or perhaps the refund. She opens the door, I exit and as I head down the walk I hear the door shut, but when I turn to look over my shoulder she is still on the inside. I pause for a moment again trying to size things up and then I spot this dude coming around the right side of the house. He was wearing white tank top and shorts, had cell phone to his ear, tats all down his right arm, and considerably taller than I. He asks if I was looking for someone and I knew it was time to move on. I ignored his question and moved on down the walk, out to the street and got in my car and left.
I have invested my time in RTFF, have read reports about this type of scam yet got too comfortable and let all that good reading go to waste. Lesson learned here about following ALL the rules and doing so EVERY time so posting this as a reminder for all of you to not get too comfortable.
Not so certain what would have happened if I would have withheld the donation until services were provided. I am thinking I would not have gotten any service, but would have potentially been shaken down by dude and still been out the .4 Who knows!

The MO you describe sounds like Lanya. Do you have any links to current ads / pictures of the chick you're talking about? I'd be curious to see if it's her.
Sadly, I was the victim of one of her cash and dash's and I did out her pretty aggressively on CL. I had seen her a couple times with good success and *thought* that I was building a good rapport with her. So one night I'm on the way to see her and she calls me a few minutes before I got there. Tells me that there was a problem with her credit card and that she would need to use my cash to run down and pay for the room real quick once I arrived. Boy was I dumb. I showed up, gave her the money, and let her walk out the door while I got undressed. About 5 minutes went by before my palm hit my forehead.
Of course she didn't return any of my calls after that. Eventually a few days later I was able to get ahold of her and she made up some lame excuse about a family emergency or something. That was the only time I've fallen victim to a cash and dash, knock on wood. I learned my lesson after that.

Did you guys know that craigslist won't allow flagging of adult services adds anymore? I tried to flag this one add and they would'nt let me. Then I sent an e-mail to their fraud department earlier this week and (of course) recieved an automated response and the girl is still posting. To top this off I tried to take out an add on Craigslist for $10. 00 warning everyone about this girl. And Craigslist would not allow my add to run. I couldn't post defamatory information or personally identifiable information about another paying poster on Craigslist adult services. I guess the old days of seeing warnings on craigslist are gone.
Just want to say that I read through most of this board. I'm not from Cincy. The girl I am dealing with is NOT the Nikki or Niki from Dayton, OH that some posters on this board speak fondly of. My girl is based directly out of downtown Cincy and she posts on craigslist daily. She is a scam. I met her on Backpage. But she is using the same pic/number on Craigslist and is posting daily. I know I'm an idiot for overpaying and letting myself get ripped off like this. But at least maybe my posting will protect others. I should add that she kept saying she had to go get something out of her car (didn't start saying this until ater she got the money). So if you ever hire her for outcall, make sure she doesn't need anything from her car before paying her. But I would not deal with her period - as she is a scam artist. I can guarantee you that that picture is not her. I will never forget her image, it is burned into my retinas. There is nothing sexy about her. I am not a normal partaker of the escort scene as I typically do the SW thing. The one exception over the last month or so has been Stacey (referenced in post #118 I believe).
The pics are accurate but the complaint by the "customer" that was posted on BP is not. First off, to the best of my knowledge, Stacey doesn't even do outcall, incall only. I just wanted to take a moment and pass on some alarming information that has been passed along to me. As most of you know I do most of my communications via PM or actual contact via phone or face to face. I try and contribute important information on the open board but do not post abundance there as I am extremely diligent in keeping the confidences that have been passed along to me. I do try and steer everyone that contacts me in the right direction.

Protect yourselves at all times. Don't worry about someone making over at the risk of you getting caught. Times are tough and some people are getting desperate. I would not post this if it was one isolated instance. I know of multiple (as in more than three) instances where basically a blackmail situation has occurred in the last month. Luckily I have not been hit but for those that have it has been extremely traumatic.
Get serious guys, protect yourselves at all cost. Com. BP is a fine place to look as it has pics, ect but anyone who catches your intrest you try to get some info either by searching through this forum in the BP & escorts section and / or doing a search on The Erotic Review using the search engine. I find doing a search by phone # is the easiest. Ideally with VIP access, ie pay for it, to The Erotic Review but you can get at least some info on a free account.
If between the various sites your can't find anything it might be better to move on.
Also try using google for various info from the ads and tineye. Com for the pics to see if they just grabbed the pic from somewhere.
There is no perfect solution. I would recommend that you join one of the sites that will get you verified, referenced, or vouched. Escorts used to be a good source but since the incursion it is a shadow of its former self, and I fear not worth the money. Almost all sites will require some sort of fee to join and you still have difficulty without any reliable references. Indys is a site that you can join for no charge but it can be difficult to get the vouches. There are people there that will see you and if you supply them with what they need to feel comfortable with you they will see you. Also the ladies that advertise on this site are very reputable. If you are interested in SW, look around here at the threads and learn from the masters. They have compiled sets of guidelines that will help you. If you hang in there on this site and help by supplying information and make clear, concise, useful posts; you will eventually become a senior member and as such you may receive pertinent information not available to the regular members. Hang in there, it can be difficult when you are starting out. Read the older posts here and avoid anything TGTBT and follow the advise so as to avoid LE problems.

The intent was that there would be more than one level of vouched members on the board in an attempt to copy what the large canine board had after it was rebuilt following OFC.
The upper level or VIPs would be those that were more active in the hobby and they would literally know each, or at the very least have plenty of mutual friends.
This was largely a reaction to the canine board and A S P D changing their rules around 2005 for what it took to get full access (on the canine board, a paid membership along with one review and a Hello, post on each of the boards will get you VIP status within two hours). The downside of Indys is that it is very easy for one of the established ladies to get a negative review pulled just by her saying that she never met the guy.
Many providers at Indys will see you with different numbers of vouches, the screening may be more intense if you have only one or two vouches. The biggest thing getting all four vouches allows you to do is vouch for others, clients for providers or providers for clients. It seems to work quite well especially when many "independent" providers don't often like to give references as they figure it might cut into their business. All I can say is that Indys works for me. I cannot catch up on all the posts in a few minutes if I check a lot more frequently than you suggest, but I do have a lot of "rooms" that I visit and I find a lot of topics that I like to read, just as I do with this website.
The owners do not set the limits on anything that I am aware of such as any protocol for seeing unvouched clients. There are some peculiarities to Indys that are different from other sites, but I have gotten used to their system. If I were a provider I would think that the more vouches the better the probability of increased safety. I agree with your points in general.
Indy's has been a really good place for me to start. Theres enough safety and ladies willing to see new guys to make it fairly easy to gain some sort of a safe reputation. For someone like me, who is a low volume user, gaining entry to some of the better features of the site can really be a difficult task. I'm still working on it after quite a while, mostly due to my own issues of volume.
I do have to admit that thus far anyone whom I have contacted has responded in a positive way. Just a question of what was required to schedule. Not really a problem for me, but I have learned here not always a wise thing to do.
The problems I have there are they don't seem to really "teach" newbies anything about safety. By teach I really mean "inform" in a very real way. Guys are not the only risks in this business as many of us have learned the hard way. I see Indy's as being set up to provide safety to the ladies mostly and I think they do that very well.
Another issue I had there, is when I provide a review, I can't read my own report or any responses to it until I have reached the required level. LOL Hows a new guy supposed to learn anything with a system like that?

KGWell lets look at the Hobbyist's point of view. First he was all "UP & READY" for a good time if you know what I mean. He probably traveled a good distance to the provider's place. In other words he has invested his time here and wants a "GOOD TIME" and really doesn't want to go home not having some fun. He might had this planned and won't have another open time in awhile. Hobbyist's are busy people and their time is just as valuable.
So he breaks down and goes for the "SWITCH" since he is there. His little head is telling him so because he has like a couple of seconds to decide since he was dropped a bomb.
He doesn't want to create waves and feels he's could lose out on another time with the provider he wants to see.
KG it's real easy to make a judgement after the FACT but sometimes while you're in the middle of a situation the little head takes over and you later regret your decision. We all been there.
Problem lies with the Provider's setting up the appointment and sticking to the agreement once made.
Many guys probably gone through this and even worst like "No show" and my favorite "They call you and set the time back sometimes an hour later".
Personally I've been through these and more. And YES I had said "NO THANKS" and gotten some hostile response. Also IMHO you could be in a situation where you might be set up for a robbery. They're wanting your money any way they can get it.
When a Provider shows some dishonesty. There is cause to be alarm and probably avoid.

I agree it part or in whole everything that you stated. I have previously extolled on this board my disdain for the repeated bait and switch tactics used my a few unsavory rip-off artists.
My post was to try and politely bring to light this issue again without causing a firestorm of controversy. If a new hobbyist will take the time to read the entire forum (I know it is long and there are periods of worthless dribble) there is also an absolute treasure troth of knowledge there for anyone new or old to either use or refresh themselves with the proper way to conduct yourself in the hobby.
No different than the 22 rules of mongering, there is a proper way to conduct oneself with escorts / providers. Time after time hobbyists have reported that the bait and switch tactic rarely if ever produces a satisfactory result. An educated hobbyist will realize this and chalk it up to another good piece of Intel rather that letting it become a rip-off report. Much like the hobbyist that frequent the street walker scene, some days you can cruise all you want but there is nothing there worth the time effort, risk or money. They chalk it up to recon work and go home, cash in hand rather than risk getting caught up in a sting or picking up an extremely questionable "Ride".
Guys keep you money and wait for a better opportunity, I know we all get 'The fire down below' but I know from personal experience the feeling of heading home less my cash and no satisfaction to boot is way worse than an empty trip. At least I have my cash for a better day.
Like I said I agree in whole or part everything you posted Harpo but the bottom line is that as an educated hobbyist you know that if you take the bait and then accept the switch then there is a 99% chance you will be posting your report in the rip-off thread.

During the conversation she informed me she had no other appointments scheduled for the day. Since it was late afternoon I offered to treat her to happy hour and dinner. Now remember this was just after our date and she had no other appointments scheduled. She told me that she would be happy to join me and since we had just had such a good time together she would only charge me .60 an hour for our dinner date. After the initial shock wore off I informed her that I wasn't looking to book a 'DATE' that I was just trying to be a gentleman and offer her some time out of her hotel room on me. Her response was that her time is money so agree to her terms or she wasn't interested. As you can see it is all about your money. She would rather sit in a hotel room alone than have someone buy her dinner and drinks after just being paid.
I know that some of you are thinking well it is probably me and not the money. This same provider has contacted me at least five times since to try and schedule a 'Date' so always remember it is not you (Whether see wants to see you for a 'Date' or doesn't want to have dinner and drinks with you) it is your money. So, keep it in your pocket until you are sure that you are going to get what you pay for. I will say that not all providers are this way, as I have had dinner and drinks "Off the clock" with a few exceptional providers but they are the exception not the rule, hence the term exceptional LOL!

To the specific point, I will say that taking someone to the ER does not equate to taking someone to drinks and dinner. The ER run is basic humanitarianism and no recompense should be offered or expected. But I think Kinkyguy already knew that when he made his comment and included me. LOL!
I will also reiterate Kinkyguy's earlier point from his previous post that there are some exceptional people (Providers and Hobbyists) out there. And, I am thankful for that for I have made some friends as a result.

I must say that I am really shocked and thankful at the same time as I barely escaped becoming a victim myself. Selective, too bad this happened to you. I agree with Golfcart. Selective, this was very truthful and an excellent answer. In today's age of the computer, completely legitimate dating via the internet is very typical. Nothing needed to be mentioned about what site or for what reason the original meeting occurred. People use internet personal ads and dating sites for meeting people to go to dinner or movies with, etc. I think it was a very effective answer.
And always remember, if you are going to ever say anything to LE (for any reason), keep it simple and brief. Don't think that you have to have some elaborate story to explain what is going on. The more complicated, the more difficult to remember the story and the more likely you are to contradict yourself. And always be respectful and polite with LE.

Well I thought I would chime in a give a little detail about what happened to me by Marissa. She knew all the right buttons to push with me, and had me to agree to leave my front door unlocked and have her come in and "surprise me" when she got there. Call it foolishness, call it not following your instincts. I even had the notion, maybe she's setting me up! But then I thought the last two visits were very good, so why would she steal from a client and lose out on the considerably higher income from services rendered over time, compared to stealing anything one time.
Long story short I woke up to snowy footprints left in my living room and all my dvds (not that many but still!) missing. Awesome.
I am brand new to the hobby, and this is a considerable burn. So it's either get over it and find a great INCALL girl next, or quit altogether.
Just saying, rookie mistake, I should have known better, and won't EVER make the mistake again.

Looks now that she's updated her collection cd's and dvd's at the expense of others, she's gone UTR again. I'd also read somewhere that she has a troubled "home-life" so all the indications are the need for cash, for who knows what. Again, her approach seems to be that she is often the first to initiate contact, and then is very persistent and anxious about setting up a date; both of which are red flags for future reference. The biggest thing that I don't understand of all of this is the complete shyte 'street' value of DVDs, at least if you pawn them (which is what most would do for the 'fast cash' need). All the pawn shops that I know of pay only 50 cents per DVD, and perhaps 3 bucks for a Blue Ray DVD. That being said, if there was a thousand dollars of DVDs at the figured 'new' price of $15, it's only 66 movies, for $33 pawn value. You'd get more for a stolen DVD player! Anyway, I just don't see the value of stolen DVDs, unless you're planning on keeping them, or taking the time to try and sell them on Ebay or the like. I know that it doesn't add much to the topic on hand, but the fiscal side of this was bugging me. :p

JayIsn't that interesting, I had already called around seeing if anyone had try to unload a number of dvd's and that is what they told me. 50 cent per, buck50 for blue ray, which there were about 20 of them she got. This is a felony theft for like you said 30 bucks, doesn't make much sense, but then neither do most criminals.

Unfortunately desperate people steal stupid things. I know that so far as hobby info this discussion does nothing. But it does peak my interest so I will chime in. I think we have some misused uses of terms. The term that originally should have been used is "Replacement Value". In this case it very likely would be over $1, 000 and that is the area the insurance company would payout. KYGuy is correct. The street value is totally different. The street value is how quick can you move the property. The reality is the two are very far from each other. The best of both worlds is receive the insurance check then go tot he pawn shop she sold the stuff off at and just buy back the stuff you want and use the profit to get other things. Ok. That is enough of my drifting. .
