Lol maybe should be a tribute to kapalua for all his hard work. I agree with all that have posted definitely a class act. I also wish him the best. Hope the only reason we haven't heard from him is for good reasons. All the best. Your knowledge is missed.I hope I'm wrong, but I think he went to that big AMP in the sky. To abruptly stop posting would not be his style. Had he found what he was looking for, I'm sure he would have announced it and his reasons for "retiring".

Well, beside the obnoxious reasons, we can also think about a few others possibilities that have a better outcome:

1) Philipina/thailand/guam is so hot that he has no time for us.

2) lost his password for the forum.

3) computer crashed / spontaneously burned / updated with vista.

4) computer stolen.

5) engaged in the army in order to be able to TOFFL overseas.

6) is living out of fresh water and LOOOVE in a palm tree house that he build himself in kalalau beach for his beloved....

and feel free to continue the list.

All I gotta say is, were it not for idol and Kap, I would not have the # of posts that I have now.

For better or for worse, thanks to the OG mongers, I spent my money, gas, and time on bitches; risked my health (BBFS) to post back here because of the generous 411 that these 2 veteran mongers gave me.

Now, 450+ posts later..I guess I'm kinda an OG...but not gonna feel it til Im: #1, super rich, who can blow money on these ho's like nobody's biz, or:

#2: living and working for Kap's PIMP AMP somewhere in Thailand or the PI!

Kap always steered me right when it came to 40+ providers, except this one time I gave a less then average review for a girl he highly rated. He pm'd me to tell me he was surprised by my experience, and that he had to go down to CHM to try her again to see what I was talking about. Pm'd me two nights later to give me his findings. That's a man who puts stock in his reviews. QC at it's finest. I was blown away.

"Long Live Kapalua" is better than "Yoboslayer" that used to be in a lot of the kbar bathrooms. I'd have to be pretty drunk and pissed at a ROB to do that, though. Well, I don't think Kapalua would want us doing that though (or anything that wasn't gentlemanly).

We all know he had a lot of good things to say, so maybe a good way to remember him would be to apply his advice and principles. Personally, I would like to see less petty bickering on this forum.

Bruddah, don't butcher the Hawaiian Language. I understand you wanting to make the relationship of his name, and on a humorous note, I had a chuckle. Kapalua is an ancient Hawaiian name that translates to "Embracing the Sea". I'm not flaming you, I just had to keep the name in line with what it really means. What i think you may be referring to, labia hole, is "peo".

I was just thinking about that; would he quietly walk away to avoid the inevitable torrential input of questions had he made an announcement (which might not be his style IMHO) or told anyone?

As another member reported, he stopped at 1500 posts flat and that does seem like quite a coincidence.

Right now all we can do is remember him, and a good way to remember him is for us to be excellent to each other since he was excellent to us - as well as providers.

A month or so before he stopped posting I got a PM from him asking me about some tips regarding getting into shape and in better general health. It stemmed from me mentioning the way AMP girls like hard bods on their clients, so that prompted his PM. I'm hoping it has nothing to do with health because he did make it sound as if his health wasn't the best.

We are all one heart attack, one stroke, one car wreck, etc., away from not ever posting again I guess...

Hae Tal One is an AMP at 1698 Kalauokalani Way where the Arisoo/Venus AMP used to be. They are located in a house behind the house that fronts the street at that address. There are a couple of parking stalls on the mauka side of the front house and a walkway to Hae Tal One on the makai side of the front house. Telephone #943-0003.

Has anyone actually confirmed if Kap was old or in poor health? I'm just saying because several of my friends and coworkers who are my age or older are in the National Guard or the Reserves. And several of them are currently serving a tour in Iraq and some of them are in Afghanistan. My friend's unit left Hawaii right around the same time as Kap's last post. Just a thought.

I recall him indicating that he is older now, so I guess he's not 19 or even in his 20's anymore; imagined him to be in his 50's for some reason. He also gave me the impression he was not in shape; another brother mentioned Kap PM'd him for fitness advice.

I've heard of skinny guys in their early 40's having strokes. I just hope he's okay.

I didn't know him, but since we all recognize him as being a gentleman, I don't think he would want to be remembered with vandalism. Especially in the restroom, kinda cheesy IMHO.

I don't think more than a handful would agree to it, but it might be fun. I'd be up for it, although there are some mongers I'd prefer to avoid, based on my perception of their personalities as shown through their posts and the way they respect (or dis-respect) the providers.

Believe the story of the past year (2009) was the sudden and unexplained disappearance of Kapalua from this site after 1500 posts (only IMO).

It was significant because of the outpouring of sentiment, caring, and loss of a good bruddah via this board. Looking forward to having a return of the Kaptain, one of the pillars of this board.

Not to change the subject, but re: Kapalua, in his post about dealing with cops, I got the impression he had numerous run-ins with them. It didn't sound like just one or two.

What might be the range in length for a jail sentence for repeat solicitation arrests? I know he was an expert, and am sure he didn't pick up an undercover. But, they might have busted him with a provider especially since he dated the ones the cops surely recognize. Perhaps their stories didn't match and they got snagged that way one too many times.

What might be the range in length for a jail sentence for repeat solicitation arrests? I know he was an expert, and am sure he didn't pick up an undercover. But, they might have busted him with a provider especially since he dated the ones the cops surely recognize. Perhaps their stories didn't match and they got snagged that way one too many times.

According to HRS 712-1200, the penalty for a first offense is a mandatory fine of $500, plus the court may sentence you for no more than 30 days, or give you probation. If he'd left by choice, I really believe that he'd have said goodbye, to friends in PM if not in the general forum.

Hypo Luxa, on the other hand, has previously been reported to be young (40-ish?) and in good health, working out regularly. So unless he's had an accident of some kind, I think it's more likely that he either got burned out, or grew impatient with some of the petty bickering, squabbling, insulting one another, questioning each other's motives, accusations of being LE/pimps/providers/shills, providers intruding on our turf, etc., that have been going on and seemingly increasing over the last few months. I think I remember reading somewhere that when the law was revised a few years ago, the bill introduced in the legislature actually called for escalating penalties. But some legislators thought the bill went too far and this was the compromise they ultimately reached. Some of our legislators, and their staffs, actually recognize that they'll never be able to eliminate prostitution through legislation and law enforcement, and it's a waste of resources to keep trying. Unfortunately for us, they're not a majority. We can always hope though...

FWIW, I sent Brother Hypo a PM about 2 weeks ago, hoping maybe the notification e-mail might prompt him to check in and let us know he's ok. Unfortunately, I've gotten no reply, and his last activity on the site is still listed as 11/26/09. Not very encouraging. I'm afraid we may have lost another one. Sighting?Just my two cents, but recalling Kapalua's perfect grammar, spelling, lucid parallel writing style and total clarity of expression, including sophistication of thought and perfect typing and/or proofreading skills, I think the "Kapalua" in the chat is not the same Kapalua from this Forum.

There is a typo or common usage misspelling, and the presentation of his viewpoint is not as polished as our Kapalua's would have been. I don't think our Kapalua used quite so many contractions, either.

I have good reason to believe our Kapalua was a very private man, and would probably use a different screen name for the newspaper.

But again, just my two cents.

Went back and read alot of Kapaluas wisdom dedication and on pointness. This guy is was amazing.
