Hello all, first time posting, but last Friday night / Saturday morning at a club in philly I was getting hot and heavy with a chick but she wouldn't give me any action other than a phone number. At this point I had the itch so I headed to broadway around 3 am maybe closer to 4. Le was lightly sprinkled here and there but not enough to put me on edge or abort so was mainly concerned with the potentially shady characters out this time of night. I feel I am done with Camden. For being in the hobby for double digit years I have compiled a vast history, data base and seen trends. Camden has taken a noticeable decline (ever more so than it normally was) in walkers. What used to happen was girls get hooked then need to start hooking. Around May it gets warm and they flood out of the wood work and work all the time. The more they are out there the more they need to score. Normally these are girls from the near suburbs, Blackwood, Washing TWP, Evesham, etc. For some reason the flow of new up and coming fresh suburb girls has stopped. My personally theory but can't prove it is caming. As one of the largest camimg places is right on walnut st in Philly and it is nation wide. Center city Philly is just as easy to get to as Camden. Make the same money with doing less work and risk. Problem is they set the cams so you can't see any local girls. NorthEast coast IP addresses only get West, Midwest and southern girls. So what does that leave us for a quick snack here? The worst and lazy tired girls. Think about your old favorite. Now REALLY think how long ago that was. Now age her 2. 5 times since last you saw her when she was pick up worthy (2. 5 times because that's what the streets and drugs do to you), also factor in how jaded they have gotten personality wise. Not a great date. Some girls as they have gotten older opt to stay in jail once they get picked up. They are used to it by there 3rd-5th time and know half the people in there. It's easy inside. This leaves the SW pool even smaller. Now what is left is young hood rats that live to scam and mental health nut jobs that the state bounces because it costs to much to lock them up. Haven't visited in quite a while so I took a spin thru after 5 but before the sun went down. I am not sure how much the police even watch the footage, I've been told that the cameras are equipped with sound so they are far more attuned to gun shots, a way to get police in the area immediately following a shooting. Never the less, common sense suggests that if you see something you like, get her to walk a half block in on any of the side streets so the scoop isn't caught on camera. Now some mongers might think this is overkill and that is entirely up to them, for me its always been stacking the odds in my favor. Good luck and report back on your experience.

I believe that LE largely ignores cameras for the most part. Here in SD area they put up video cameras to deter prostitution. The SW's still work near the cameras despite them. The other thing to remember is that a patrol car has to be nearby to be of any use. I seriously doubt that they will dispatch a patrol car to stop and follow you if they see you pick up a SW. In my mind, I divide Broadway into two stretches, from the Transportation Center down to the intersection of Atlantic Avenue, there is a major outdoor drug bazaar in the area so the obvious consequence is a fair # of SW's but most of them will break off from the males they are hanging with to catch a date.
The second area is from Atlantic down to Ferry and beyond. This group might be just as drug related but generally speaking, more mileage and a bit more haggard. Still, you can pull a gem out of this area every once in a while.
But if you are new to Broadway, here is my one piece of advice. Camden's police tactics have gone high tech with cameras up and down Broadway. I am not sure how much the police even watch the footage, I've been told that the cameras are equipped with sound so they are far more attuned to gun shots, a way to get police in the area immediately following a shooting. Never the less, common sense suggests that if you see something you like, get her to walk a half block in on any of the side streets so the scoop isn't caught on camera. Now some mongers might think this is overkill and that is entirely up to them, for me its always been stacking the odds in my favor. Good luck and report back on your experience.

I saw a tall BSW just past the tire shop. She look decent with brown skin. Tall and had a nice body. The other BSW was hanging near the Chinese restaurant on Broadway she is a regular with light complexion decent looking, short in height. I had her years ago but she always upsells. I didn't have time to do anything but they are out there. I didnt see any LEO when i drove by them.

That doesn't make me an expert, just a long time Economic supporter of the local Camden providers. So I while I can't offer any direct observation of the street level activity along Broadway, I would be shocked beyond despair if it is all shut down. Tradition and a long history of SW's that goes back 30 to years suggest that it will take more than a mere Pandemic to shut down Camden.
But I couldn't help but notice a shortage of posts in this SW section of South Jersey. I just assumed it was because of people like me, not retired from the game but forced to take a break because of Covid, the curfew, the dent in monger's pocket book because of the layoffs and economy. I am hoping a few of our esteemed community of posters will log on and give us some feedback on what they have seen on Broadway. I am hopeful it will be there when I get back to resuming normal business activities.

I know 3 people who had no job (gig workers) prior to the pandemic assistance and now they are receiving state unemployment around $200-something plus the additional $600 federal supplement. Close to $900 a week.
I don't know how many back alley handies the SW's have to dole out in a week for $900, but I bet it's a lot less now with the extra benefit. I have a feeling things will pick back up in August when the money train details. Both on Broadway and online.

It seems a couple years back the city also started to make a big effort to clean up the Morgan Blvd area, just around when they were doing all the new construction and road work. And lately they are trying to gentrify into Broadway from W. Rand station southward. So looks like Broadway is slowly getting squeezed out, and I'd say it's had a serious impact on SW activity.
This is before my time, but I heard that Federal used to be good hunting grounds at one time, but then they cleaned that up when there was some big convention going on and the city wanted to make a good impression.
Not sure what's going to happen when / if the COVID situation blows over, but I can see things going either way.

AC.I used to get on and off 6xx at Morgan blvd daily. There used to be tons of walkers before they plopped that Holtec building on Broadway. I think it started to change a few years ago when the fat-ass ex-governor was doing a photo-op at the port before all that Holtec construction had started. There was a heavy police presence before and during his visit. But before all that I'd see them walking up to cars at the light where Morgan ended at Broadway (back when the food bus was there) or walking back down off of the on ramp from a rig parked on the shoulder. I remember one time there was a girl leaning against the brick wall of the Port shooting up between her toes while her bf watched and kept hold of the baby stroller. Not anymore. There seems to be a 24 hr patrol car parked on Morgan by the on and off ramps. No girls to be found anywhere. Every so often there'd be a really nice one for a short while that would eventually disappear. The regs that I'd see strolling. I don't know how they made a dime. Talk about high mileage, weather-beaten zombies.

I hadn't really put two and two together until you mentioned it, but clearly some are riding on the stimulus and unemployment checks. The candy blocks in Philly are just packed with people waiting around all day. At first I thought this was mainly because the suppliers are getting squeezed and can't get as much product in at the ports with the COVID shutdown. I'm sure this is part of the issue, but added on top of that are the ones flush with their checks that are probably now also adding to the demand, making the shortage crunch even worse. The cuties that used to be walking are just now spending their time finding good supply spots.
So by August then we should start seeing more girls walking again when the relief checks start to dry up.
Hopefully we will have Happier Huntin' in a few more weeks.

Yea, the check thing has affected me directly. I had a very reliable SW for two years. A few months ago, she got an off the books p / t job and became a UTR (under the radar chick). That took her off the street and she only claimed me and another regular. Then she found a way to get the stimulus unemployment checks and we have not had any dates since. I text her from time to time, never ask about dating to see what she comes back with. Since the checks, she never offers dates and only initiated contact to give me her new phone #. Before the checks, she was on a weekly schedule of trying to meet up.
I guess she is keeping options open for when the check gravy train is over next month. So I'll just wait it out until then. She'll be back.

I've nearly given up on the Camden stroll, as it is too far for me to just go for a joyride. I have to be sure that I'll find someone worthwhile when I go. This used to not be so hard. There used to be a decent number of options on any given night through there, but it had dried up since March. Several times in the last few months I've made the journey there only to find no options worth picking. I lucked out some time in April with an enthusiastic WSW named Rachel, who I'd never seen before or since. Since then, it's been pretty sad and dead. Yet the LE presence seems to have increased even more, making the ratio of negatives to positives far too high to even consider returning until somebody can report better news.
