I seriously don't understand how there can be a stroll in Baldwin, but not Traverse City. Does anyone else find this odd?
Not at all Baldwin has people with less money. TC is a bigger money town.

In the Pontiac thread, because they apparently were too lazy to start a Baldwin thread. When I saw the posts, I didn't see what thread they were in. After you asked, I performed a simple search for "Baldwin" in the "MI-Other Areas" section, using the "Search This Forum" feature on the header for the section. Good luck if you try the stroll. From the posts, there doesn't seem to be a lot of variety in the selection. Not that I would expect there to be in Baldwin, mind you.

They posted numerous fake escort ads online promoting the fictitious escorts Brittany Rose and Tammy Lang who would be in the region during April and June. The advertisements instructed mongers to text a phone number to set up an appointment which would take place at a local hotel. The fake ads netted over 60 texts and inquiries to what services would be provided. 10 men who scheduled appointments were arrested and charged with 1 count of engaging in prostitution services and 1 count of using computers to commit a crime. Through plea bargaining, if the men plead guilty to the first misdemeanor charge, the second charge was dropped. The names, age, and city of residence of the arrested men were reported on the front page of the Traverse City Record Eagle. Some say the county prosecutor who has been in office since 2012 and is well known for his softness on crime with plea bargaining arrangements throughout his term has in the past few months trying to make a name for himself of now being tough on crime as he is running for 86th District Court judge. Be careful out there.

It is reported that as of yesterday, 35 men have been arrested in 7 of the counties with 73 criminal counts levied against the men, evenly split between solicitation and using a computer to commit a crime. The remaining arrest counts involved marijuana possession, oxycodone possession, and possession of a firearm during commission of a felony. Records show that one person was arrested twice in two separate instances during these operations, which more than likely are ongoing. Be careful out there.

Lana, am guessing that agencies involved are trying to suppress demand. It is far easier I think for LEO to go after the men as they only have to prove intent, and with typical communication of texting, they can get us on multiple charges. The penalties, and repercussions are very high. If they can reduce demand, they are hopeful that there will be less supply. I personally think they should devote their energies elsewhere.
