as the year-end approaches, here is a retrospective of some of the important things that have taken place over the past year (first qtr 2008):

i am posting this in the best of… section as it crosses into several areas. it is not all-inclusive, so feel free to point out any important stuff i might have missed.

january

1. amy/dallas made her final appearances on lamar and cl. she posted her final cl ad on january 29th then disappeared from the scene. she was a superior provider with a great attitude. later detective work from avon barksdale revealed that amy was subsequently working as a waitress. pineapple also left the memphis scene as well. she left at christmas 2007 for a visit to hawaii and never returned to the track.

2. wsw sabrina began making frequent appearances in a small area around the garden inn – usually in her signature nascar jacket. later, she moved south on lamar and onto other locations. the last time i saw her was in early spring, on brooks near i-55. she was wearing a tight, slinky dress.

3. a leo officer was shot at the garden inn. the suspect used a “human shield” to defend himself, and it widely reported that it was red the scammer. memphis salami later found out that it was actually sabrina who was the “shield”, but that red emerged from the bathroom during the confrontation and was shot in the crossfire. it turned out to be a superficial wound, and she was spotted three days later on the stroll again.

4. kymberlee made her lamar debut. a short time later, we learned that she was part of the brandi/angel crew. she was thicker then and has lost a lot of weight since. same ol’ kym though: a great smile and personality to match.
5. a long discussion began in the escorts reports about neysa, the italian masseuse. is she a hooker? why won’t she do fs? is she a man? in truth, she is a decent provider who will give a good massage with a happy ending.

6. tristan “retired”.

february

1. some idiot posted that a well-known provider was hiv positive. not true, not true. turned out he pulled a name off the tampa forum, and it wasn’t even the correct name. there can probably be nothing lower than starting a rumor like this.

2. yo-yo, 38-yrs old, was a hit and run victim. i never met her, but there were ymmv reviews regarding her service.

3. cd had a run-in at the notel 78. he went into a room where the provider took his $$, then said she got her period. he left, and a pimp tried to hit him up for a tip, even with no service. cd said he didn’t have any more money and the idiot pimp said he would go with him to the atm after he dropped off a “package” at another room. luckily, cd was able to slip away. this was an important event as it helped encourage most mongers to stay away from the hotels in favor of the notels.

4. rollover86 had a run in with the infamous ”summer” at the garden inn. he was scammed when the pimp came in and tried to pass himself off as “the mad boyfriend”. summer later turned up again as part of the group that was posting all over cl and flagging all of the other providers.

5. the garden inn, royal inn on american way, and two other notels were shut down due to “prostitution and drug-related activities”. almost every lamar notel from north of i-240 to winchester, and some on bellevue, ceased renting hourly rooms for awhile.

6. daisy started posting on cl. she of the “cross” tattoo across her belly. there was talk first that she was the infamous protégé, then that she was ****. she then tried posting under “becky” with a fake pic until the real “becky”, a provider from the east coast called her on it. after a couple of months, she dropped off the cl pages, but made a few appearances on lamar and also on airways.

7. laura/frosty was back on cl. she was now using "gwen/misty". call gwen and she charged $.25 more than if you called misty, and you still wouldn’t get the “glam blonde”. misty was also pregnant.

march

1. andrew 1 rediscovered sadie in the summer/national area. she had been off the streets for a time as a benefactor tried to get her off drugs. it apparently was a losing battle.

2. the lester murders occurred. this effectively ended any sw action at that end of the block – just north of the string of notels on lester.

3. peter girth reported that bailey (a.k.a. jennifer rankin), was a tv star. she appeared on “first 48” on the a&e network in a show about a killing in the summer ave. trailer park. the suspect in the shooting was a guy named “blow”, who allegedly impregnated both bailey and destiny.

4. shay returned and was posting on cl as “design”.

5. cindy (“scarlett” in 2007) returned with a partner: a young blonde named brooke. she was cute, but bob krane questioned her skills and “customer service”. cindy upselled a bit, but had one of the truly best bodies i’d ever seen.

6. angel spent time in the pokey on a trumped up “promoting prostitution” charge (a felony) when she tried to arrange a three-some with kymberlee and a uc. the bogus charge was thrown out.

7. someone started a nasty thread about a highly regarded young escort that said she had hiv. soon, jackson removed the entire thread because it was so ludicrous. this was the first time i saw a bunch of reports just get wiped off the board. the poster was subsequently banned by jackson.

(2nd Qtr 2008)

APRIL

1. Christy from National was discovered on YouPorn doing a porno scene.

2. Memphis Salami connected with Shannon around Salem and Macon, who had been on another short hiatus. She is a terrific provider if you can find her. She’s been turning up regularly in various reports throughout the year.

3. Alina started appearing on the Lamar stroll. She would later start posting on CL as well. There was some confusion about whether she went by “Mallory” as well. One day, she came up to me in the Mexican store lot across from the Union Hall intersection and set the record straight – she was Alina, not Mallory. Later, she used the name “Vanessa”.

4. WSW Sunshine started making a more deliberate stroll along Lamar. Back around the first of the year, she and a couple other girls were working out of the Crown Inn, and would only make short, selective trips out to the street.
5. LEO decoys set up a sting at the Union Hall corner. They nabbed about 20 mongers, including one “brilliant” guy working for MLGW, who was driving one of their trucks when arrested.

6. Stocking Lover began posting in the Forum. He has been a tremendous asset to this Board ever since.

7. LEO conducted Operation Fallen Angel, which netted a bunch of prostitutes and pimps. Most notable was a 14-yr old prostitute they nabbed in front of a school. They only showed her from the neck down, but she sure didn’t have the body of a 14-yr old.

8. BootyCall reported that Sadie, Kimm, and Shannon were all living in the same house, “sharing a piece of the rock”.

9. Several well-known providers were arrested in a CL sting conducted in Fayette county.

10. The famous Covington Bust took place. LEO called CL ads and lured escorts to the Quality Inn on Hwy 51. Six girls were arrested.

MAY

1. The notels that were closed down in February reopened under new management.

2. After several months, BSW Angel finally noticed me taking pics of her and flipped me off. I wished I could have gotten a pic of that!

3. Strawberrie was doing the triple-shift, SW on Lamar, escorting on CL, and stripping at Christie’s, as reported by Shadow Lord.

4. Joetnn reported that Honey was back in the Summer area, after a seven month stay in the slammer.

5. Frosty/Gwen, etc returned this time as “Jamie”. Bad reviews, bait-n-switch, and talk about her being mixed up in some sort of credit card scam.

6. Underground sources were sending PM’s that certain well-known providers had “flipped” and were working with LEO. Several members received info about this, but we were never able to fully corroborate this despite getting information from an unimpeachable source.

7. SL and others reported great reviews on Juicy Katie, visiting from Detroit.

JUNE

1. Memphis Salami reported that Shannon was kicked out of the house she was staying at on Salem. She was now “hopping from place to place”.

2. Joetnn picked up a WSW on Airways & Democrat and went to her room. However, someone had dropped a sh*t-bomb so bad in the bathroom, it killed the mood. He said the She was wacked out anyhow, calling her “Psycho”.

3. Jon24 found Tara on the streets in the Yale/Scott area. She’s was the petite, former “dancer”, with big boobs and lots of personality. Jon took great pics. One of the top finds of the year.

4. I caught a couple of pics of Angie B. talking to her pimp in front of the old restaurant by Notel 78. After a few minutes, Angie disappeared around the corner by the office, and the pimp decided he didn’t like me taking the snaps. He walked across the lot, and then crossed the street to confront me. Unfortunately for him, I had plenty of time to figure out what he was up to, and drive away --- but not before I aimed the car at him briefly – just to scare the dummy away.

5. Jessica, of the infamous al a carte menu, changed her “name” to Megan.

6. STORY OF THE YEAR. Sabrina’s was busted. Cynthia Erlich (Sabrina) was arrested along with sex paraphernalia, computers and client listings. Also nabbed was Leroy Williams, who was living there as well. Shelby county investigators were led to the residence on information provided two girls, who were arrested at a nearby notel, and were employed by Sabrina. The arrest sent shockwaves through this Board, but things eventually cooled down.

1. the best found shannon homeless and trying to stay away from an abusive “boyfriend”, and put her up for a few days at a motel on stage.

2. straightup and banger hard first brought the enigmatic melissa to our attention. she would later get many other rave reviews and even become a regular poster.

3. hot karl alerted us to “pamela”, one of those arrested in the covington caper, had “flipped” and was helping leo to keep herself out of jail.

4. the nichole, jamee, lindsey, jaiden,etc “crew” began posting on cl in earnest. hot karl identified the “nichole” of this group to in actuality be the same summer that scammed mongers out of the garden inn earlier in the year. nichole and the group had nothing but terrible reviews. not only were their ads appearing in droves, but they were flagging down all of the other girls just as aggressively. it was soon determined that one person, a man named “brian”, was doing all of the posting and also all of the flagging. most of the regulars “boycotted” the group and refused to have anything to do with them.

5. the traveler's inn on whitten road in east memphis was closed as a public nuisance. deputies in the shelby county sheriff’s office narcotics and street crimes bureaus arrested 11 people who were indicted earlier for felony drug charges. investigators said prostitution was going on in the motel and they also discovered a meth lab there in march.

6. fobu monger was scammed by the original “scam girls” – penelope and her ****d girlfriend at the red roof inn. it had been almost a year since they were pulling scams in the area. mostly bait –n-switch. this was another example of a regular contributor blowing the whistle on scammers and the rest of the board helping to drive them away by ignoring them.

august

1. london was released from jail after charges for intent to distribute were dropped, according to a report from hot karl.

2. alissa’s sister, samantha, returned to escorting with a flourish after a hiatus. she came back with some great pictures.

3. the legendary madison “retired”. later in the month, she jumped off the ms bridge, but survived. the best part of the story is that she seems to be doing much better and has mounted a comeback. good for her, she is beloved by most.

4. nichole/summer tried to resurrect herself as “nikki”, but zwang posted a bad experience which helped expose this one again.

5. misty/frosty/gwen/laura, etc tried yet another cl comeback.

6. jackson started coming down on posted mug shots. it was a strange turnabout since mugs were regularly posted on an ongoing basis for quite awhile. it suddenly became demeaning for mug shots to be posted here.

september

1. paris (from garden inn fame) emerged again on the streets. first on summer, then on lamar. it was determined that paris and sunshine were sisters.

2. shannon shines teamed up with the infamous kaylee (a.k.a. kitten) for a series of cl ads. both have had more negative than positive reviews.

3. melissa “retired”.

4. heels appeared on the board and supplied a bunch of information on “brian” the flagger. she supplied names, pictures, and numbers used in his ads. many other providers, including michelle, jordan, and alissa came forward and shared either direct experiences with “brian” or flagging experiences. this incident helped build an “information” bridge between the hobbyists and the providers.

5. shelby deputies executed a search warrant at a room at the intown suites on ridgeway, where they found a man with a computer opened to “craigslist erotic services”.deputies got a tip that the suspect, henry gardner (a.k.a david gardner), 58, posted ads for prostitutes on the web site in return for $50 if they had a “successful day,” according to the affidavit. gardner is charged with promoting prostitution and was held on $10,000 bond. he was identified as a “major flagger”, and may have been involved in the covington bust, but was not brian.

OCTOBER

1. Memphisman reported that he was a hotel general manager and that LEO had visited him and asked if the hotel was having any “prostitute problems.”

2. SL reported about a sting that netted about 11 prostitutes, one of the areas was near Summer/Glankler. The funny part was when a detective returned to his unmarked vehicle to find a man inside rifling through his glove compartment, a police radio in his hand. The man was charged with burglary of a motor vehicle. On the way to 201 Poplar, he asked officers to go easy on him because he didn’t know it was a police car.

3. Burger King began posting “No Loitering and No Solicitation” signs all around the parking lot.

4. Steve4 found Shannon on a Nutbush side street and Superpickle commented on how she and Marla were former lovers, and how Marla gets jealous and mad when her regulars date other girls.

5. Steve4 spotted Tabitha in the Millbranch/Winchester area. He said she looked strung out and had a pretty bad looking “boyfriend” with her.

6. A girl named “Stacey” started appearing on CL that looked suspiciously like Leela, who had been on a long hiatus. I called and talked directly to Stacey, who adamantly denied being Leela, but said she had received several calls asking the same question.

7. SL broke the news that Melissa had “unretired”. She said, “Retirement sucked and I guess I'm not cut out for monogamy. Ha! Imagine that! I'm good at this…”

8. Henry (David) Gardner died in his prison cell. It was either a heart attack or suicide.

NOVEMBER

1. Jon24 hooked up with Shawna for a multi-day session after putting her up in a notel for a couple of days.

2. Avon Barksdale posted hot, new pics of Erotic Heaven, and SL had rousing comments for one of the Board’s favorite providers.
