I think the number of ads on craigslist for providers has gone down since their start of the phone verification. I found a newer free classifieds web site that doesn't require that, http://www.classifiedsbyzip.com
What I like about them is the search is done by zip codes and how many miles you're willing to travel so you can get more results suited to your needs. Another good thing is the providers can show a thumbnail in the search results, which makes it a lot easier to choose the ad you want to view and also makes it easier to find again.
