Hope that you'll excuse me for taking the liberty to start the new thread, but I have a question. I have been Storm Rider #2 since day one and I have never seen anyone using Storm Rider as a handle here. Any chance of getting it changed to Storm Rider? It's a pain in the wazoo to log in with it since I have cookies disabled.

Is there a way we can get the new 2006 thread to be positioned above the old 2005 thread on the opening page of each city?

It should be if people will post on it and not the old thread. I believe they usually appear in chronological order in the state and city threads.

I dunno the way you tried to send it but you can go to the international site and have your cc charged on there. Again, I dunno if you tried that, if you did, then i was just trying to give you and idea.

Jackson,
If you hadn't gotten my message to you, or seen the post I wrote in the Banned User's HOS, please un-ban Urban Legend, the new user name I created to post under. My yahoo e-mail apparently got hacked, and my user name and password confirmation info was stolen. That gibberish post, and derogatory post were not of my doing. In your banishment, you said those were the only 2 posts written by Urban Legend. The only post I wrote under that name was in the Baltimore forum and was neither of the posts you referenced. I hadn't even logged in under that name since I wrote that post about 2 weeks ago.

I created the new user name to post my new reports, to make my SW "friend" think I was retired from picking up SW's, and that I was going to be faithful to her. She's now in jail, so I can go on with my current user name. I just want the record set straight, that I did not write what you saw. I am the only one who uses my computer, so I think hacking is the only way this info got out to someone else. I just want the record set straight.

Could you please add 2006 AMPS to the Providence RI board.
Maybe You could rename the Downtown Accupressure thread to 2006 AMPS.

Jackson added this already:

Now of course, someone else starts a 2006 AMP report thread, which is redundant.

I like to view USASexGuide in several locations. Some locations are semiprivate, I think it would be great if the "real name" were small, and a "bogus" name like "shopping for the best price" or some other name were the mast. It would keep me a little less nervous.

Just a thought,

My company was just sold and we are now on the new owner's server. They seem to have software that blocks access to sites with certain key words like "sex". This means I can no longer visit the site from my office. Is there a way to access the site using an address without "sex" in it?

The best way to get around the fire·wall at your work place is to use a URL that it doesn't recognize and that also anonymizes your activities

I recommend you try http://proxify.com/

One good feature of this service is that be·cause some filters also block access to URL proxifiers , they offer a large number of alternative URL's to access their service , and most of those the fire·wall won't recognize

[ see = http://proxify.com/alt.shtml ]

Some more free advice for you =

Larger companies [ and even some smaller ones ] some·times use a key·stroke logger to catch & record every single thing you do on your work·place computer [ see , fer ex = http://www.key-stroke.net/ ]

You may have gotten a·way with it before , but now that you have a new owner at your place of business , I would check with the IS Dept [ or ask the alpha·geek there ] and make sure they aren't using this in·expensive and ever·more·frequently deployed surveillance soft·ware BEFORE you log on·to this site or any other porn sites from

Anyway, was wondering if there's a History page? Like when did you take over and start the community again?

**** Court Won't Enjoin Infringing 'Sex Guide' Internet Site ****

Saying prostitution is illegal, a federal judge has refused to grant the request of the owner of a "World Sex Guide" Web site to enjoin a rival site that is allegedly infringing its trademark.

First Global Communications Inc. owns a trademark registration for the term "World Sex Guide," a guide to prostitution services around the globe, and operates the worldsexguide.com Web site.

The content of the guide includes customer reviews of prostitution services in the United States and in foreign countries, as well as information about sting operations by law enforcement officials.

The Web site also has discussion boards for users and advertises escort services, which First Global acknowledged was a euphemism for prostitution services.

First Global describes the site as an "online guide in the field of travel and entertainment."

Indeed, the trademark registration it received in August 2000 specifies that the World Sex Guide mark is for use in "computer services, namely providing online guides in the field of travel and entertainment," according to the court's opinion.

First Global filed suit against Jackson [ last name re·dacted ] and his company, [ name re·dacted ] Inc., for trademark infringement and cyberpiracy.

First Global alleged that [ re·dacted ] set up a rival sex guide using the domain names worldsexguide.info, wsgforum.com, usasexguide.info and internationalsexguide.info. He also allegedly used hyperlinks and metatags to divert content and users from First Global's site to his site.

In the suit, filed in the U.S. District Court for the Western District of Washington, First Global asked the court to enjoin [ re·dacted ] from using the allegedly infringing domain names and to require [ re·dacted ] to turn over his domain names to First Global.

Judge Marsha J. Pechman refused to grant the relief requested by First Global, relying on the "clean hands" doctrine. The doctrine holds that a party seeking equitable relief from a court must come to the court with "clean hands."

In this case, Judge Pechman found that the court could withhold an equitable remedy that would encourage or reward illegal activity.

The state of Washington prohibits "advancing" prostitution, and Judge Pechman said the materials on First Global's Web site provided information that would help users find prostitution services.

She rejected First Global's argument that the content of the site was protected by the First Amendment's guarantee of free speech.

While the state could not proscribe speech that advocates violating the law, speech that aids and abets criminal activity is distinguishable and can be prohibited, the judge said.

Speech that aided and abetted illegal prostitution fell into the latter category, Judge Pechman ruled.

She also rejected First Global's argument that an injunction against [ re·dacted ] would serve a public purpose because it would reduce consumer confusion regarding the rival sites.

"The court fails to see how the public has an interest in reducing consumer confusion between Web sites that provide information about prostitution services, given that prostitution is illegal in virtually all of the United States," she said.

Concluding that issuing the injunction would effectively encourage illegal activity and would serve an unconscionable purpose, Judge Pechman denied First Global's motion.

I was in a public place recently, and got to overhear a father telling his 20-something son about this site. Dad went on to tell about photos, report info (especially some of mine), and where to find SW's in my neck of the woods.

I never thought that a serious father/son discussion about sex would have to do with picking up SW's!

Jackson:

In the wisconsin forums a fellow monger and member,Yyxx, has created a FAQ for Wisconsin. I think his work is excellent and believe this is a template that Senior Members / Regulars of various states or metropolitan areas would do well to emmulate. A link to the Wisconsin FAQ is here: http://www.usasexguide.info/forum/showpost.php?p=431310&postcount=1

IMHO it would be well for area FAQ's to be maintained by a hand selected Sr. Member for a given area. with the FAQ itself in a locked thread and a thread related to FAQ ammendments or corrections being seprate from the FAQ. I see much potential for such a system cutting the noise to signal ratio in many of the forums.

Thanks once more for building and administering an informative site.
I hope this suggestion helps to improve its usefulness and keep it manageable.

Could you bring back quick links? I miss having the drop down menu where I can go to a buddy list and click members' names to send mass PM's.

I also miss being able to see which of my buddy list is online. It comes in handy if I want to have an impromptu get-together at a bar or an AMP trip with others.

Maybe you could consolidate User CP into the quick links?

Rt 95 north exit 40 in CT last week. Stopped to get a bottle of water and leave a leak. I always park in truckers area. As I'm parking I notice a girl in a car by herself and when I come back to my car shes on the side of a truck talking with a trucker who musta said no, she spots me and comes over and asks for a smoke. I said sorry I don't and I ask her if she working She says maybe and after I tell her I'm not a cop I tell her to follow me in her car to a motel parking lot at the next exit. .25 for crappy CBJTC.

(Jackson: I figure you are a busy man, monitoring this entire board? I hope you have had time to check in on the poll being taking in the Philadelphia section. At least I hope you have had occasion to check in from time to time.

If you will read some of the recent post, you will find that some of us believe the results have been rigged. Hanging Chads failing, is there anyway of checking the big swing in voting over this pass week? Can a poll be hi-jacked? Below is a copy of my latest post.)

The poll will be closing soon. There has been some questioning of the results. Has the poll been rigged? Will the results represent the community? Should we have to abide by the results? While I cannot vouch for the correctness of the poll, I do stand by my commitment of compliance.

There were comments concerning the ugly pictures that I have post in the past. The ugly nature of this argument has far surpassed any picture. I will be glad to move on. The poll officially closes on July 31, 2006. On August 1st, I am free to post pictures wherever I choose. I have chosen to comply with the poll results. There are some procedures which will still need to be followed and presented.

1. Horny Harry must announce the Poll close and the results valid. Only Horny Harry the poll originator, or the site administrator, can declare the poll rigged and thus null and void.

2. Horny Harry, must post the final numbers of the poll as they were shown/tallied as of midnight.

3. Horny Harry must post what the final decision means to the membership in general.

Finally, I have asked that should the results support a Photo Thread, that the name of said thread reflect it as a thread open to everyone. I cannot in good conscience post in a thread that sets me apart from my peers.

The Ohio Forum needs a subforum for Ashtabula. There has been an AMP there for many years-- in fact there were two until fairly recently-- but it never has received more than passing coverage in other subforums.

My thanks to you for providing an important service, and for the best-run forum of any kind that I have encountered.

Recommend the TA at Lake Station or even better, continue north past it, go till the road T's and park behind the Ponderosa across the street in the shopping center if it is still allowed. That place used to be the best in the Gary area.

Jackson,

I was under the impression that , "The purpose of this Forum is to facilitate the exchange of information between men who are looking for sex with women."

Is this a free exchange? If that is the case, does offering to 'trade' info fall under this scope? If 'trading" is adverse to the purpose of this site (and I may be wrong regarding site purpose), why is it then allowed? It has always been my position to provide info without requiring info in return.

Any other thoughts??

It depends on what kind of 'info' you mean , NC·H

If yer referring to digits , it's probably best to NOT offer them 'for free' to anyone but your closest friends here

Something I have noticed since the time change a week and half ago is that the forum time is still on daylight savings time. Is this something that gets adjusted on my end or on the host server? I have notcied that every so often I have to sign into the forum and before I do the time is an hour ahead of what it should be. So am guessing it defaults to eastern (I am in central).

Jackson; PZombie,

I undertand and agree with providing digits to close friends unless requested by provider to post the digits for the world to see. But how does offering to 'trade' info of any type guarantee the info you provided won't be misused? How can you be sure the info you get in return is even valid? But back to my original question, is it acceptable to withould information until someone provides information to trade? Is this 'trading' in accordance with the stated purpose of this board? Anyone who reads this forum has received tons of free information (thanks to Jackson picking up an improving on Atilla's mission), so it appears that offering to 'trade' info runs afoul of the site's purpose.

I have seen several posts deleted by moderators for mentioning other internet sites. I have even seen where members were banned for promoting competing sites. While I resect the right of the owners/moderators to run this site by their own rules, I am curious about the reason for this rule. Since the purpose of this forum is to share information, what does it matter if that information includes a reference to another site? Since this is not a pay site and doesn't seem to be operated on a for profit basis, whats the deal with the competition references? Once again let me stress that I respect the right of the moderators to make and enforce their own rules and and am not trying to put anyone on the spot or anything. Just curious.

============================================

Hi Broome333,

This is a complicated answer.

First, I have an agreement with one of my competitors persuant to a settlement of a lawsuit that prohibits either of us to permit the other's domain name to be published on our own sites.

Second, in the past I have had several people use my forum to build their own competing forums. After I sat and watched this happen for the third time, I decided I needed to take action. I know that many internet users believe that everybody wants to encourage links on their sites to build traffic, but there's only one problem with this concept: If you have a very busy site, then links to relatively unknown sites with no traffic are of no advantage to you although it's extremely valuable to the new, unknown site. In other words, there's no upside for me in allowing links to other sites unless they're as busy as my site.

Thanks,

Jackson

JacksonThanks for the answer. Like I said, I am not trying to question your right to run the site like you choose and believe that if a person wants to be part of something they should live by that groups rules or go elsewhere that suits them better. I can see some cases where it would be benificial to allow links or references to other sites in the interest of making info available, but can also see where if you let some take an inch they will take a mile. I don't blame you at all for protecting a site you have worked hard to develop.

=============================================

Hi Broome333,

Just to be clear about the forum's policy:

1. You ARE ENCOURAGED to post links to other websites that are purely informational, meaning websites that provide information in the way of text reports, maps, photos, etc.

2. You MAY NOT post links to other websites that include a forum of any sort, either as a part of the website or with a link to another url with a forum.

3. You MAY post links to other websites that are essentially commercial in nature so long as they do not include pornographic material and do not charge a fee of any sort to view the website. Essentially, this means personal escort websites.

4. You MAY NOT post links to commercial websites that charge a fee of any sort.

In short, links to other sites are okay so long as the other site doesn't have a forum which would be directly competing with my forum.

Thanks,

Jackson

Jackson,

Many thanks again for your outstanding site and work. We are all in your debt.

After seeing it referenced on this site, I checked out the 'Reports of Distinction' threads on the ISG. I was impressed by how useful and informative they were and think that including these threads on the USASG would be a great addition. Although some of the travel guide purpose of ROD on the ISG would not apply here, for places like Baltimore, Memphis or Waterbury w/ thousands of reports it would be a valuable tool. If it would be too cumbersome or time consuming for you to start all of these threads, would it be possible, as an alternative, for senior members to start these threads where appropriate, with the standard rules of ROD applying?

Vito
