THis one went by the name of Starr, not her real name, she told me what it was but dont want to use it here. I saw her several times in the late 1990s then again a couple of times about 2 years ago. PEORIA - Pictures of prostitutes will be added Monday to the Peoria Police Department's Web site, and the police chief says he's no longer worried the publicity could aid their business.

"I have decided to run prostitutes on the Web site so that the public will be aware we are not neglecting the enforcement of the supply side," Police Chief Steven Settingsgaard said.

Officers from vice, street crimes and problem-oriented policing (POP) units arrested 67 prostitutes in 2005. The year before, 50 prostitution arrests were made; there were 36 in 2003.

The decision to post mug shots of the women, who trade sexual favors for money or drugs, was not easy for Settingsgaard.

Last July, when the Police Department and city officials unveiled their "shaming" Web site at www.peoriapd.com, the main objective was to publicly humiliate the men who solicit prostitutes, dubbed "johns," by displaying their mug shots and personal information online after their arrest.

They also had considered displaying prostitutes' pictures and names, but Settingsgaard decided against it after a brash streetwalker told the Journal Star that having her mug shot on the Internet could help her business.

"It would make my job a lot easier," said Julia, who would not reveal her last name at the time. "Because right now, the 'tricks' (or johns) don't know who's a cop and who's not."

Since then, only the faces of johns, 29 so far, have appeared on the site since July. Listed under each mug shot is the name, age, street, hometown, charge, and the location and date of the arrest.

Last month, Settingsgaard again began contemplating posting prostitutes' pictures when officers approached him and said it would benefit the public to see the other side of the problem.

"If you're going to do one side, you ought to do the other side," vice Sgt. Jerry Bainter said. "Let's address it on both ends."

Settingsgaard had said last summer he was afraid "the Web site (could) become a catalog for Peoria's prostitutes."

He was worried men could look at the women's pictures online, drive to the North Valley, an area known for prostitution, and pick out who was a legitimate prostitute. That would undermine police efforts to eliminate the sex trade.

Those fears now have been alleviated.

"I don't think it's going to make a bit of difference because most of these girls have their clientele," Bainter said. "A lot of these guys patronize the same girls because they know they're prostitutes and not cops."

In trying to meet his officers' request, Settingsgaard first agreed to add the prostitutes' pictures to the site but with their faces blurred or disguised. Later, after more debate and the installation of computer software that prevents someone from copying and pasting the pictures or printing the images, Settingsgaard gave the green light. Faces of women arrested for prostitution will appear without obstruction.

"Staff came to me, and it was in their opinion we should post their pictures," the chief said. "My vice officers preferred this, and they were not concerned that it would be of any great assistance to johns. I went with their recommendation."

Nearly 40 mug shots of prostitutes arrested since July - when the "shaming" policy for johns started - will be added to the site Monday. Their pictures will be merged with the johns' alphabetically in the months they all were arrested.

The same information that accompanies the johns will be listed under the women's pictures. If a prostitute is arrested a second time, a new mug shot will appear.

"We realize there is somebody out there who is computer savvy that could find a way to bypass the security mechanisms we've placed on the site," vice Lt. Tom Burke said.

The mug shots to be posted are not glamorous. Many of the women appear glum, with dark circles under their eyes and uncombed hair.

"The Web site will be much less of a deterrent for prostitutes because it's not a secret (to them)," Settingsgaard said. "Neighbors know they're prostitutes. For the (johns), it is a secret. They are operating in the shadows."

Tim Herold, a North Valley resident who lives near Morton Square Park where prostitution thrives, is ecstatic about the addition of prostitutes to the site.

"If you call the police to report a prostitute working in front of the church, they need a description," Herold said. "A skanky (prostitute) wearing spandex could describe any number of them. It would be a benefit to the citizens and police to report, 'Polly Prostitute, a.k.a., Polly Crackhead,' is working at this intersection."

Herold also doesn't fear johns using the Web site to shop for prostitutes.

"If a john would see these women in the light, I don't think they would be interested."

Anyway, if you want to download these pics, here is what you do:

First, right click the photo and get the pop-up message. Then drag the popup directly over the pic you want to download. Left click it, but hold the mouse button down - Don't release it. While holding the left button down, click and hold down the right button also. Now you are holding them both down. Release the left button. Then release the right button. You should get your menu for saving the pic.

Now I tried this on the website, but the funniest thing is happening: I right click the pic and when the popup comes click OK. and then the menu for downloading comes up anyway on it's own.

Oh well.

Just got back early lunch, saw in newspaper vending machine that today's Journal Star has another frint page article about prostition. Yesterday they had the front page and about 4 or 5 side bars- check their website for the ones not posted here. No time now for me to do so. This article had photos from the police website of a number of the guys who have been arrested so if you are one of the unlucky and some of your friends aren't online or never visited the website, the PJS is letting them know for you. Was with several people so did not stop and examine the paper to long or closely.

Well. I usually use Mozilla Firefox but I tried my technique in IE and it doesn't work. That surprised me. I think java is malfunctioning in my Firefox Browser and that is why I get the options I get.

So, if you are really into wanting to download these pics, here is what you do:

Download Firefox. Go to the page. Go to Tools/Page Info/Media

That will give you a list of the pics on the page. They are easily identifiable by name, but if they change that, all you have to do is highlight the name of each pic and it will appear in the "media preview" window. Once you find the pic you want click on "Save as..." and you've downloaded the pic.

Here are all the women that the Peoria Police have posted on their website. I was asked to post them here because mongers are having difficulties viewing / downloading the pics from that website. I have no problem because the java functions in my browser is corrupted. My advice is to see if you can disable the java in your browsers. This will probably require a reboot once you've done that. I've never used iCab but will look into it. If you have Firefox though you should have no problem downloading them through the Tools|Page Info|Media method I described below.

The Journal star writers must have used all the ides they had for stories aboutprostitutes, since there were none on the front page of the paper today. I am somewhat a news junkiesubsribe to a couple fo papers and frequently pick up copies of others. Noticed in the past before I had ever picked up a SW that the Journal Star every couple of years will run a series of articles on prostitutes in town and how the cops are valiantly trying to clean up town. Seems no one involved with the clean up ever does anything to help the prostitutes after they are srrested. Excpet put them back out on the street with a criminal record to give them more choices in jobs.

All I can say here is that when I go through Peoria each week, I run the stroll just to look - but not touch. I have no problem with what the cops are doing. They will arrest a few magots who don't know squat about the hobby, a couple of girls who are horribly destitute, and when they finally run out of $, I'll still run the stroll and find a gem in the rough. This will be for consensual fun and in a safe manner that does not risk me or the girl (not that there is a worry there) of any disease or problem.

The reason that it is the oldest profession; age-old, and continuing is that supply and demand allows for it to continue. No police department in the world can stop it. What I DO think is that both the guys and the girls need to stop making it bad for local neighbors and the community at large. Find a location that doesn't offend anyone and don't litter or create a public problem with the way you go about it. Until people are respectful of others in the way they conduct their business, complaints will continue, and cops will continue to do what the city is required to do for its population - control "crime." In this scenario, crime is defined as an out of control situation - and it IS out of control.

Prostitution arrests not limited to North Valley

PEORIA -- There's been no shortage of discussion about the Peoria Police Department's shaming website that lists prostitution arrests. The focus is on one part of the city, but it's not the only place police say is involved in the sex trade.

It’s alongside the littered streets of the North Valley, in the shadow of downtown Peoria where police have made the majority of arrests allegedly involving lewd and lascivious behavior.

But it's another place, in a completely different part of the city, where the Peoria Police Department's Vice Squad is targeting prostitution arrests. It's in the tony neighborhood of Grandview Drive, miles away from the city's center and traffic and congestion and a world apart from the city's checkered inner core.

“(There is) a very low crime area, we have a very low crime area up on Grandview Drive,“ said Peoria Park District Police Chief Robert James.

But even with limited crime, that's where police officers picked up two women in September of last year and where they nabbed another woman just three weeks ago.

“I'm surprised, I really am,” said John Giersch of Peoria.

Giersch walks his dog Rusty in Grandview Drive Park nearly every morning. Word of the arrests breaks a silence he's always enjoyed.

“It’s very peaceful, very nice, in any type of weather,” said Giersch.

And Peoria Park District Police Chief Robert James has patrolled the place for 41 years, nearly 10 as chief. He said it's normally not an area of concern.*

“Girlfriend, boyfriend, innocent things, we hope, and the officer will go up and check, and say is everything ok, here, and if everything's ok, they'll thank them and say it's time to go home,” said Chief James. ”What we want to do is make it safe for people.”

But even with just one car at the park, police have made a commitment to clean up all of Peoria’s streets, in the North Valley or anywhere in the city.

Grandview Drive residents we spoke with said they have nothing to worry about in their neighborhood. They call it a quiet, safe, great place to live.

Did not see any of the Journal star photos on their website. Here is one that was on the front page of the paper- it is of an undercover police decoy talking to her contacts. Note that one cant see her face or the licence plate on the unmarked cop car. She does however appear to be a bit more attractive than any of the girls whose photos have been posted here by sexmoron from the police website. Maybe they are just putting up the pictures of the really unattractive ones to discourage anyone from looking. Most of them are really ugly. That of course is my opinion.

I have several friends and realitives working for City and County of Peoria a fact that has discouraged me from looking in town. Rockford, Bloomington & Quad Cities are all about the same distance from me as Peoria give or take a few miles. PEORIA - A second man featured on the Peoria police Web site has been found not guilty of soliciting sex, but his mug shot will remain until August.

"Why are they arresting people when they're not committing a crime?" asked Jason, who was found "not guilty" last week by a Peoria County jury.

"I feel like I've been slandered," said the 26-year-old Pekin man, who requested his last name not be published.

He is among 29 men featured since July on the Peoria Police Department's Web site, which includes the mug shots and personal information of those arrested on solicitation of sex charges, commonly called "johns." The information is posted for one year, regardless of how the cases are decided in court.

"I am not guilty. I didn't do what they are cracking down on," Jason said. "I would never cheat on my wife."

Police Chief Steven Settingsgaard declined to comment about any specific case but said recently it's only fair to leave the information posted so the public can see when someone is acquitted.

"If your picture appears for several months, and the public knows of your arrest, they will not know you were found not guilty if you are simply removed," Settingsgaard wrote in response to other messages on the subject posted on the Journal Star's Web site.

If a "john" is acquitted, a red-letter caption appears under his mug shot saying he is "not guilty."

"Leaving the photo with the indication that you were found not guilty informs the same public of your successful outcome," Settingsgaard wrote.

Apparently, the public is interested. After the Journal Star began a three-day series last week examining those arrested on solicitation of sex charges, the Police Department's Web site, www.peoriapd.com, was flooded with traffic.

On March 5, the day the series started, 3,756 people viewed the "johns" information on the department's home page, an increase of more than a 1,000 percent over the previous week's daily average of 315 views.

That number jumped even more on March 6, when prostitutes' information also was added. More than 11,600 views were recorded that day, and the week's daily average was 4,176 views.

Jason says he's not happy that many people still see his mug shot each day, adding he's endured unneeded stress since his arrest in August.

At trial last week, the defense said Jason and his friends were riding their motorcycles in the 1600 block of Northeast Madison Avenue when they saw who they thought was a prostitute.

"He was dared to go up to her and say something to her," Jason's defense attorney, Jerry Hall, said Monday. "He was on a dare and was in over his head."

According to the police report, Jason stopped his motorcycle and began talking to the woman, who actually was a police decoy. Police say he asked about prices for sexual favors and agreed to meet the woman at her house, which led to his arrest.

Hall said although his client was talking to a prostitute, he did not break the law since there was no exchange of money or anything of value offered to the decoy, something required in the solicitation law.

"What (the officer) interpreted to be an offer was not there," Hall said. "She was saying, 'I'll do this for so many dollars.' I told the jury that's no different than me going to a car dealership and asking about the price of cars."

Settingsgaard, however, stands behind his officers and defends his department's Web postings, regardless of a court verdict.

"If you are on our Web site, you approached an undercover officer and either offered money for sex, or sex for money. That is it," he wrote in his message on the Journal Star site.

"Not being charged does not negate that you were arrested. Not being convicted does not negate your arrest," he wrote.

Fewer prostitution arrests since site debut

It has been 10 months since the Peoria Police Department started posting photos of alleged prostitutes and johns on its*Web site.

An opinion poll in the Peoria Journal Star last month showed mixed feelings about the site.

Many people feel the site is a good deterrent for anyone soliciting prostitution.

However, there are others who believe it's unfair, since it seems to convict the people pictured before they're tried.

The police department started posting photos on the Web site in July.

The department said it was launched in response to community concerns about prostitution.

They also said that having their picture posted is part of the price those arrested have to pay.

"When you solicit for prostitution, you break the law, and you have to pay," Officer Ann Ruggles of the Peoria Police Department*said. "And if part of that is posting a picture on the Web site, which we told them we are going to do, that's part of it.”

The police department said the site seems to be doing what it was designed to do, which is cutting down on the number of arrests.

But there were three or four arrests yesterday, and the p-d says it could be because people just don't think they're going to get caught.

The police department also said that if someone is found not guilty, the site will be updated with that information.

It looks as if it may be a deterent, either that or the cops in town have found something else to occupy their time (maybe soem real crime?). Checked their website and for all of April they only had 3 pictures. 2 guys and one gal. The gal is 38 year old Michelle who was picked up near Morgan and Madison on April 27- the two guys were also taken in on that date. I am attaching her picture.

That is what they have done. It is more likely a concern about the cop's safety. There is a much greater chance that one of the shooters will shoot back thant a guy who has gotten pulled over because he wanted to get lucky.

Plus it might take some actual investiagtion to find the shooters. There was an old episode of Rockford Files where the cops were clueless about a crime. This was a headline in the paper. A friend of mine with too much time on his hand's did a freeze frame of the paper so one could read the article. Whihc sort of went along the lines that the cops had no clues and had no clue where to find them. They hoped that even better than a clue that the criminal would turn himself in and confess. Judge sets deadline for plea deal for serial killer suspect

PEORIA A judge on Monday gave attorneys three weeks to negotiate a possible plea agreement that could spare the life of an alleged serial killer who prosecutors say has confessed to killing eight women, burning half of the bodies to ash and bone in his back yard.

Peoria County Judge James Shadid told attorneys he will set a trial date for 39-year-old Larry Bright and rule on a defense motion to move his trial if ongoing talks fail to strike a deal before Bright's next scheduled court appearance on May 30.

Bright faces the death penalty if convicted, but Peoria County State's Attorney Kevin Lyons said Monday he would consider a defense bid for life in prison without parole if victims' families support it.

"At the end of the day, the decision is mine and mine alone. ... But it is important to me that the decision is reached after being filtered through family members," Lyons told reporters.

Lyons said families' thoughts about a possible deal are more important than in about a dozen other capital cases he has handled because the killings affected so many people and sparked criticism from Peoria's black community before Bright was arrested nearly a year and a half ago.

Black leaders alleged authorities were slow to launch an investigation into the deaths and disappearances of black women because of their lifestyles involving prostitution and drug use. Many blacks also felt victimized because Bright is white, Lyons said.

Bright's court-appointed attorneys said the pretrial plea negotiations are typical for a death penalty case.

"You're really not doing your jobs if you don't try to negotiate. ... Weâ€'re hopeful something can be resolved but it might not be," said defense attorney Jay Elmore.

Lyons said talks will end if no deal is reached by the judge's deadline. Attorneys for both sides say Bright's trial would likely begin this fall if negotiations fail.

Prosecutors say Bright has confessed to killing eight women, burning half of the bodies for up to two days in backyard pits and dumping the others along remote country roads in neighboring Peoria and Tazewell counties.

Bright is charged with first-degree murder in the deaths of Linda K. Neal, 40, and Brenda Erving, 41, whose bodies were found in 2004, and 29-year-old Tamara Walls, who was reported missing in 2004.

Lyons said any plea agreement would require the former concrete worker to publicly admit the other slayings, providing closure for victims' families. Authorities say DNA tests have been unable to identify charred pieces of bone recovered from about a half-dozen sites where investigators say Bright told them he dumped remains of the women.

Bright has pleaded not guilty. He tried to plead guilty during his first two court appearances last year, but to protect his rights judges rejected the attempts. Bright's attorneys say his family has since persuaded him to fight for his life despite his remorse over the killings.

Authorities have declined to discuss a motive but say Bright developed a fascination with sex and pornography involving black women. The victims were all black and led what authorities called "questionable lifestyles."

A Springfield psychiatrist completed a 116-page report Monday based on a mental evaluation of Bright. Defense attorneys said outside court that they had not yet read Dr. Terry Killian's findings. Lyons said he concluded Bright was not insane at the time of the killings based on a quick review of the report.

Bright is being held without bond in the Tazewell County Jail.

PEORIA - Larry Bright will never leave prison.

With a simple signature, the former concrete worker agreed Tuesday to spend the rest of his life in prison in return for not facing the death penalty.

After months of legal twists and turns, the area's latest serial killer admitted in open court that he killed seven women and caused the death of an eighth through a drug overdose.

Under the agreement, Bright, 39, admitted that he strangled Linda Neal, 40; Brenda Erving, 41; Shirley Ann Trapp (Carpenter), 45; Shaconda Thomas, 32; Laura Lollar, 33; and Tamara "Tammy" Walls, 29, to death over a 15-month period in 2003 and 2004.

He then admitted that he provided enough cocaine to Barbara Williams, 36, to cause her death. Each time Circuit Judge James Shadid asked Bright whether he was guilty of the women's death, Bright said yes.

Drug-induced homicide carries a maximum 30-year prison term which Bright will serve at the same time as seven concurrent life sentences. Bright also waived all appeal rights, meaning he will likely never appear in court again on this case, which was Peoria County State's Attorney Kevin Lyons' goal.

People will remember that there was a serial killer in Peoria, but "I can bet you quite a bit that they will not remember his name," the county's top prosecutor said.

Bright spoke very little during the hour-long hearing and only in response to Shadid's questions. One of his attorneys, Jeffrey Page of Springfield, read a one-paragraph statement penned by Bright.

"I know that I have committed some horrific and unthinkable acts. I am very sorry for the grief and the heartache that I have caused," Page said, reading Bright's statement.

That wasn't enough for Kevin Armstrong, Neal's brother.

"He could have at least read it in court himself," Armstrong said after the hearing. "I wanted something personal from him."

Shadid's second-floor courtroom was packed with several members of the task force that spent months investigating the deaths and disappearances of the eight women. Also present were many employees from the courthouse as well as family and friends of the victims. Absent, however, was Bright's family, who have been to every hearing until Tuesday.

"I think it's a fair resolution," Jay Elmore, another of Bright's attorneys, said recently. "This guy is never going to see the light of day and he knows he should never see the light of day."

The deal brings to an end one of the most exhaustive criminal investigations locally in years. The task force had more than a dozen officers from several departments who spent hundreds of hours on the case. Defense attorneys have said the evidence against their client was several thousand pages long, and DNA labs from across the country spent months unsuccessfully trying to identify the charred remains Bright led authorities to.

As Lyons told Shadid the evidence against Bright, a picture of each woman appeared on the courtroom's two television monitors. Lyons said he chose to do that so they wouldn't get lost in a jumble of names. Rather, he said, it was important for the community to remember each woman.

"It was important to me that this case not be a melting pot for eight women," Lyons said.

For all seven murder charges, Bright admitted he choked the women, but told authorities he couldn't remember names and dates. Some of them he remembered by their clothing. Others he remembered because of the struggle they put up in the minutes before their deaths. One woman he remembered because he saw her driver's license.

For months, the case had been in a holding pattern as Bright's defense team had to determine whether he was first fit to stand trial and then if he was sane at the time of the deaths. But when the latest psychiatric report came back showing that Bright was sane, the logjam broke.

Still, the court case has held a certain level of fascination with people, and not just because of the number of murders. Bright himself added much to the ongoing drama by repeatedly trying to plead guilty during his first few court appearances only to be rebuffed by judges who said they needed to protect his rights.

The case also opened up some longstanding resentments with Peoria's African-American community, which initially accused police of not devoting enough resources to solve the women's deaths because of their street-centric lifestyles.

"The task force and Kevin did extend themselves to the community. The only regret I and others have is that it took quite a while for them to form it (the task force)," said Percy Baker, who has acted as a spokesman for the black community and some of the victims.

All the women were black and had ties to drugs and prostitution, but authorities have not divulged a motive for the slayings. Lyons said more than a year ago that Bright, who is white, apparently had a fetish for black women but that he didn't believe race was a factor in the deaths.

No motive was revealed during Tuesday's hearing. Lyons said afterward that it appeared Bright didn't start out to kill the women but after one or two deaths, things changed. Bright told authorities that he was "hunting."

Bright was initially charged with only three murders - Erving, Walls and Neal - and authorities were awaiting results from forensic DNA labs for additional evidence in others. Bright had confessed dozens of times to all eight murders, but his confessions were rambling and lacked enough detail to rise to a level for conviction, prosecutors have said in the past.

However, as Lyons went through each woman's death, it was apparent that for some of the deaths - Thomas in particular - authorities had no leads on the case until an interview in late January 2005 with Bright in which he, in effect, confessed to everything.

"The families who have suffered tremendous ... this, in no way will make up for the loss of a loved one, but to know that Larry Bright will never be on the street again, that is comforting," said Tazewell County Sheriff Bob Huston.

Police apparently latched onto Bright as a suspect in November 2004 when, while questioning him on another matter, they collected two cigarette butts he had smoked and used DNA from those to match it to semen found on Neal's body.

Tracie R. Gresham, 27, 503 NE Jefferson Ave.; convicted of prostitution and unlawful possession of a controlled substance; sentenced April 27 to six years in prison and $781.28 court costs.

Tracy R. Belcher, also known as Tracy Reese, 38, 605 E. Cruger Road, Eureka; convicted of prostitution; sentenced April 28 to two years in prison and $278.66 court costs.

Amy Jo Ann Schroeder, 27, 606 Green St.; convicted of unlawful possession of a controlled substance; sentenced March 30 to 30 months of probation with one year of intensive probation, 180 days in jail and $295.49 court costs. Dismissed was the charge of prostitution.

BUT = Possession of Class A / Schedule I Narcotics is a Felony — meaning the *Minimum* sentence is a year

Peoria PD has redesigned their website.

Months are now listed from Jan to Dec. July section now has some from 2005 and some from 2006. They do not have any arresteees more than a year old up as of now. PEORIA -- It's been one year since the*Peoria Police Department*jumped head first into a pool of controversy.

Last July, they introduced a website to show the public the men arrested for allegedly soliciting sex.

The names and photos of women accused of prostitution were added a few months later - all to put pressure on those charged with crimes to change their ways.

In the neighborhood where most of the arrests have been made late at night over the past year, there is no shortage of opinions on both sides about whether this website works.*

Margaret Bray has planted roots on Peoria's near northside. She's lived in the same Monroe Street house for the past 34 years.

She says this neighborhood used to be different - and not in a good way.

“Right there,” Bray said. “A whole bunch of them stand there in the corner pick up. I can see them if I sit here constantly about 7 o'clock at nighttime they start it.”*

So what has changed in the year since the Peoria Police Department launched their*website of johns*- intent on shaming those who allegedly solicit prostitutes for sex?

“It feels a lot safer,” Near Northside landlord Greg Smith said.

Smith owns dozens of houses throughout Peoria, including one just a block south of Morton Square Park.

“This area was so heavily a problem with drugs, so that prostitution and everything else was involved,” Smith said. “And now that they've really cracked down on this area for the drugs, the prostitution has decreased.”

By day, there are all kinds of activity going on at the park: Kids shooting hoops, preps for a game of soccer; but some have a different perspective about nighttime - and questions about the website's effectiveness.

“There's still lots of prostitutes walking down, up and down the streets in their little shorts and all that,” Near Northside resident Desiree Moore said.

Said Peoria resident Earl Wells: “If you’re going to stop somebody from crossing the street, they're going to take an alley. You know what I'm saying. You block the alley, they’re going to take a sidewalk.”**

And a man who lives in the neighborhood who didn't want to be identified said he even knows prostitutes who check the website for johns - just to see who is - and who isn't - a police officer.**

“I'm not sure what to say about that,” Peoria Police Chief Steve Settingsgaard said. “The prostitution trade, if you patrol this particular corner regularly, you're going to have regular customers who you trust, and whether they're going to pick up on a face from our website, maybe.”*

Still, Settingsgaard said the shaming site is working - that the eyes on the web, have helped curb the trouble on the street.

“It's died down,” he said. “It's got quiet, and in a way, I almost wish it would get to be controversial again because that's what caused people to look at it, and that really was our disincentive.”**

Settingsgaard said he went to patrol this neighborhood last week, and says he saw one prostitute out - much better than 7 or 8 at this time last year.

He says he never thought the website would fix everything.

They have no plans to take the site down anytime soon.

I was in P-town on business earlier this week and all I can say is "Wow!"

I thought this town was supposed to be locked up tight; nothing could be further from the truth.

On Monday afternoon, I cautiously checked out all of the historic haunts - nothing, or at least, very little worth stopping for. I chatted up a BSW not far from the church and she seemed so challenged by the English language, I cruised on.

Cant use the normal web browser to view them and have to use non standard settings on another to see them. I have figured it out, obviously. In town for a couple of days and with help from the forum I tried to find some action. Cruising the strolls listed found a few possible SW,s, but none that I sampled. As of today the people arrested on Nov 1 & 2 2005 still have their pictures on the website. Guess Peoria PD does not read this website as often as we assume they do. Or else they do not care. That took some balls to do. I would not have been brave enough. I think it would have been better had a lawyer for someone whose picture was on the site too long to have been the one to inform the police, while slapping them with a lawsuit.

The police have not been all that busy, since it appears as if they have only arrested one girl in the last last 3 weeks and no guys. Perhaps they are pursuing real criminals. We know thay have not been spending time updating their website.

I just reached the conclusion that since you had to call to get them to take down the old photos, that means that they are not automatically taken down (like the website says). They all have to be done manually. Just one more thing that the cops in Peoria have stated that turns out to not be true.

Did a drive of the strolls all over town and NOTHING !!! I mean NOTHING !!! Peoria is a ghost town no drug dealers or sw or nothing It was weird. A warning- posting this bit in all the areas I have posted a few times. This is something that happened to me last month and was not quite sure how to deal with it.

I was at a fairly nice hotel for a conference in a city where I have never been cruising for girls nor posted. Clicked to read them it took me a few seconds before it dawned on me these were not my messages since I had never been asked to sign in. Something the forum asks me to do everytime I try to look at a picture, post something or look at messages. They were for someone else, I'll call him Pencil Dick Guy or PDG. It was not PDG and I suspect no one will name themselves that so I figure it is a safe name to use. PDG was soeone who had been a regaular poster in one of the cities I have been posting in. It said his last sign in was in May, coinciding with his last report here. I could have been a real jerk and posted some reports on him saying how I had decied to switch sides and was now a flaming fag and was now hanging out with all th hot transvestites. But I did not. Not sure why it thought I was him. Word of warning that if you use a computer that is not yours it could keep you signed in for a long time and someone you do not know could get access to your account and cause mischief. Never did check the forum for info on the town I was in since getting access to Pencil Dick Guy's account had me a bit spooked.

Mr Q - interesting. So if you log of and it says all the stuff is cleared, then in fact it is not really cleared. Hmmm...clearly a problem.

A few observations: first if autofill is on, then the computer will pick it up and type in fields for you, i.e. password, etc.

Secondly, if you clear cookies and history in the browser, it should clear everything.

Third, if you load an application like window washer on a USB flash drive, and run it, it should clear everything - cache, cookies, history, etc. and you should have no problems.

I'd also worry about keyloggers, etc. on a shared PC.

I never logged into the computer at the hotel. I went to the site and noticed I was logged in as someone else. I am guessing if nothing was done to the computer at the hotel the next time someone looks at this forum that they will think that person is Pencil Dick Guy. I have always had to login with my computer at work, it keeps cookies in memory and they go away when the computer is turned off at night or when I quit my browser. Figured this out since there is another website I frequent run by a guy I know and each time I visit it it says "Welcome this is your first time here I hope you will bookmark the site and come back often" Asked him about this and he said I must not be saving cookies on my computer.
