S.K. used to be a haven for this hobby, much like Thailand is today. The only difference was that the customer base was mostly the U.S. military. However I believe that in the last few years the government has experienced a heightened awareness of the reputation (growing reputation) which the country had as a land of pleasure for Westerners.
When I was last there in 2004, there were still opportunities. Some you could find on the street, others could be had in certain "barbershops". These were distinguishable by the fact that you had to go "downstairs" for a haircut. I think many of these shops are gone as are the RLD's. However you can still get laid. One good way is to become friends with a taxi driver who speaks English.
There are still sex establishments. But they now tend to cater for the Koreans and not for Americans or Europeans. I'm sure there are still some RLD's although I know the authorities have tried to reduce them. But Koreans, like Vietnamese are inveterate entrepeneurs.
Koreans also love sex and understand that everyone else does as well. They also have no trouble with the idea of making a buck or so off of it. Just be careful if you go. Don't wish to run afoul of the law, eh?
By way of postscript, I pine for the day when N. Korea becomes a capitalist country. I predict it will be much better than China. All of those female soldiers will shed their ugly uniforms and will be willing to do almost anything to please a customer.

Anybody here have any experience mongering in SK? Airfare is ~$1000 coach.I have mongered in SK and Bangkok (BKK). Of the two I thought SK would be great in light of my AMP experience in DC. However, I found SK is bit difficult to navigate and not as easy as BKK. I basically concluded that we had one of the best offerings and service in DC (pre-black Wednesday that is).
Having recently toured St. Petersburg, Russia, I would have to say it is quite monger friendly and not bad on the budget at all. If you are looking for a non-asian experience it's definitely the place. Serious mongers willing to travel should really read a recent post by Catalyst (a Senior member) in the International version of this site under St. Petersburg, Russia. It's an incredible post. My advice is that you should turn your attention to posting intel on your mongering experiences that may add something positive to this board. It is only in this way, Grasshopper, that you will realize the benfits of the USG DC Board.

Funny you say that, I had the very same thought today! It just ain't the same out there anymore; would love to have another go at the likes of a Koni, coco, Young or Louie...etc..etc..etc, so MANY great girls(Maya & Mimi amoung the best of the best to ever hit DC).

since the amps reopened, I have had about 10 visits. But yet to achieve the satisfaction that I had before shutdown. Where had all those ladies gone to. Ok. So there are a lot of "Seniors" here. And that is great. I have learned some things here and there from picking up on the posts, but I'd like to learn more.
My first visit was about 7 years ago, to Classic Therapy in Wheaton.

All right, I got a question. If I wanted to venture into DC to hit up a DC AMP, how much of a hassle would it be? My main issue is parking.

Uh, you read the forum, so you know that Supra is hit or miss, apparently the only way to know is to ring the buzzer when you get there. If they are closed you have the latest list of re-opened AMPs by WW1, complete with addresses and metro stops printed out on a sheet of paper as backup. And you also know from your reading that it is not about the AMP, it is about the girl as to whether it is a good/bad/indifferent encounter. You have read the forum, so you know the score, I am trying to think of something else you need...

I called Supra around 7 last night as i headed downtown but no answer. From the front street, the lights looked like they were off but i decided to go hike up those 1,00,000,000 stairs anyway, and to my surprise, the door opened after a short ring of the door bell. When DC board is busy, "several pages" is like two days posting. How to get the info without asking me to do your work for you? Two ways. 1. Use the advanced search function for the term or terms you are looking for. Be sure to click on reports, which is not default. 2. RTFF.

In order to know and understand an area and be a "virtual" monger, a newbie needs to read back the boards in that area 6 to 12 MONTHS.
Going and doing some of the things one reads on a regular basis for about a year allows one to become a monger with expertise on the area.
Coming back to USG and posting your experiences along the way builds virtual credibility (Senior Status, intellegent questions answered without delay or quibble, etc.) This is all assuming you are literate and not a complete asshole in your posts/interaction.
Getting backchannel info flooding in once you have developed credibility thru PMs and becoming friends with other board members takes the hobby to a whole new level. GURU maybe?
Politely answering the noob questions and knowing where every post on the board is located so the noob never achieves step 1 is when one becomes GOD.
LL just ain't there yet.
I am thinking of starting a little side business. Set up a Pay-Pal account and when somebody drops me $25, I'll put my decent paying business on hold and take the time, do the research, and send the info back to the noob by PM, email, fax, text message, or posting to the general board, (as requested by the payor).
Let me meditate on this for a few moments...

Well it's that time of the year again when I, for one, turn my AMP adventures into overdrive. As I had stated in my first couple of posts on these forums, when the clocks go back an hour, and it gets darker earlier, I officially feel much more comfortable mongering at such earlier hours as 6 and 7 pm, under the beautiful cover of darkness. I've done it this way for years for 2 reasons:
1) You can where hoodies, jackets or such clothing to hide your face from being recognised by someone you know or the FOX 5 channel news crew! .
2) Since I like to go out when it's dark, I don't have to explain to my S. O why I'm just now coming home at 10-11 o'clock pm (which I had to do on a few ocassions during the summer months because of the extended daylight hours), I simple conduct business and can be home at a reasonable time.
I suggest this rule that me and a buddy of mine came up with when going into an AMP: The only thing you should have in your pocket is 160 bucks and if you've drove, your car keys. And that's hit! I 'always' leave my wallet, wedding ring and house key in my car. A couple of years back, I was a victim of credit card fraud. It was ironic that it happened a few weeks after my first encounter at an AMP. Coincidence? Maybe. Maybe not. But ever since then I've had paranoid dillusions of being in the TS area with my provider, while back at the room mamasan or another AMP girl digs through my unguarded pants pockets, writing down or making a rubbing of all my credit cards numbers.
Something to think about.

You can call people names, brag about how great you are on other boards, etc. But in this country and in this area, one truth about life is that we need to be very discreet if not sub-rosa. I don't have any beef with anyone on this board. I apreciate your comments but the truth is, the DC board is very hostile and, I believe, unnecessarily so.

Let's all remember that there are people in this world who believe that what we do and what the providers do is a great crime that needs to be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law. I have not been on the site for some time and was unaware of what had happened "black Wednesday". Anyways, my gf has been out of town for two weeks now, and I decided to hit HWC. I met with Cherri; we negotiated a half hour for $. She asked me for my card; I got my fourth stamp. I asked about another girl I knew there, and she told me about the closures that had occured. Lex no longer lives in the DC area. However he began his mongering career in DC a long while ago. Lex remembers driving up and down 14th St. (around U.) vying with the cops for curb space. The ladies would come to the passenger window and ask "You spotin'? Ten and two."
Lex was probably one of the first spa customers. He remembers the one at Tenley Circle and the one in Georgetown.
Lex lived in DC for a period of time. He remember sitting on the steps of Herbie Fore's corner store at 4th and H., listening while elderly colored and white gents would smoke cigars and tell tales. Lex worked in DC as a young man. He pumped gas, washed cars, sold groceries, and later drove cab. He did painting and construction work on DC homes from Capitol Hill to NW and NE.
So although Lex no longer calls DC home, he does consider it and this forum a kind of home away from home. Lex knows other parts of the metro area quite well. Well enough to say that DC is different. It's different than Baltimore and different than NOVA. Many people in DC come from somewhere else. That's just the nature of the place.
DC is a great place. The people are great. If you think they're hostile, then perhaps you need to examine yourself. Maybe you don't have what it takes to be part of a place like DC. In a place like DC you will find that people and how you view them reflects what you are more than what they are. The place and the people are what you make of it and them. So if you've been around for a while and find hostility, maybe it's time for you to go home. But please don't insult those around you. If you can't contribute, can't play in the sandbox, that's cool. Let me first say, that when i first arrived at 521 G, i thought you guys had played a good ol' fashion joke on Golgo. Not only is it the most LE infested AMP i have ever been to but the room (room # ****** to be exact) and the shower area are a step down from the likes of say, Supra or even the infamous DT spas. This was my first time visiting the 'sunny palace', so i got a little lost. I walked down 10th street, where 3 security guards/cops(?) stood at the entrance of the MCI parking garage. Because i had crossed the street right at that light, i missed the entrance completely and walked all the way down to Burger King, where an LE van sat on the corner. I slowly walked back, surveying the buildings for the entrance, not trying to look too obvious as the 3 security guards peeped my every move. I turned back onto tenth street and picked up the pace. Out of the corner of my eye i spotted the entrance on the side of the building, but was moving so hastily along i didn't want to make any sudden moves in front of the guards, so i just continued up the block. I was only inches from aborting my mission and heading over to Mirage, or some other spot but mustered up the courage to head on back down the block. With security still watching, i get to the door, ring the bell and hope to hell it opens. Seconds later i hear the buzz and head on up the one flight of stairs.
I obey the sign on the door, and ring the doorbell on the left, and mamasan greets me at the door. She gives me the standard new faced monger Q&A and once shes comfortable with my answers, walks me down the hall. She says she has a good girl for me...from behind the curtain walks Sonya. Outstanding post, thankfully we didn't have to wait a week for part two. Only thing I was missing was the junior mints and popcorn.
Went to this place the first time. The entrance was hard to find. Remember newbies, it was on the side facing MCI Parking. Anyways, have a great session with Young, who was cute and enthusiastic. Went to I this evening as a first time visitor and spent a nice hour with "J". (Called in advance to ask about Mimi (per other posts) but was told all new girls.) Hello fellow mongeres, as Logiz357 reported earlier, the I club is a pain in the ass. I tend to visit little known spots that are not reported on to much. This keeps the meat freah.
If you go to I street (the actual name changes all the time, but it used to be BOSS) on a Thrusday, Friday, or Saturday you have to deal with the line at the door and a bouncer. I usually try to avoid all the attention so I go during the day or on "NON party nights".
Last time I went I had Youme (Sp?). She had a face that only a mother could love and didn't have on the skimply little outfit that they ususally have. (I thought she was a mamasan in training).
She put me in the sauna for a bit, then when she came back she changed her cloths to the usual. Impressive body. By the way I love the sauna first before the TS so I can work up a sweat.

Long time lurker, and all I'm going to have to say is Haywood Jablowme sounds like he's full of shit. I don't know how he became a senior member but if you look at his post history, it's very suspect at best, and his recent string of posts about Mimi seem to be complete bullshit and he also seems to display a lack of respect for these girls. With the Winter Olympics upon us, it strikes me that we need to address the problem of subjective scoring. I would like to propose a standard scoring system for the DC AMP scene that I have named the Lax AMP Rating System (“LARS”™) as follows:
0 – I’m going to slit my wrists
1 – Worst ever
2 – I wouldn’t f**k her with ****’s dick
3 – Really bad :(
4 – Not recommended, avoid
5 – Adequate, standard fare
6 – Good, above average
7 – Superior
8 – Highly recommended, must see
9 – OMFG, best ever :D
10 – So good I’m keeping this one for myself ;)

Okay, admittedly I rarely frequent DC AMPs, in fact only twice so far. But last night, I was in DC at a peak hour in terms of outside traffic, especially due to the Capitals game, and I've got to say I was completely surprised.
While waiting for an opportune moment to make my way across the street to enter Sun, I saw some Indian/darker skintone guy walk in. Might as well have been a kid! If I were a bartender, I would definitely have carded him.
No biggie, I thought. While waiting to walk across the street, I saw ANOTHER guy walk in, this time some Asian. Maybe Chinese or Korean. He, TOO, looked ridiculously young.
Next thing I know, I see another guy come OUT of the place, and I am guessing maybe Malaysian or some other southeastern Asian country. He was ALSO young.
There was no way any of these three guys in a row could be older than 25, and if I had to guess, I would say the oldest guy was 23.
Am I wrong to have had this perception that it was rich, older guys who frequented these kind of places? Seems to me like it's just a bunch of kids blowing their part-time job money at an AMP!!!

Yesterday around 5pm it was my lucky day!
I went to visit the pink palace across from the arena. The parking in the area was all $20 plus because of the hockey game. So I gave a drive around. On the second loop I turned onto G St. Lucky part one...an empty parking spot with no tow-away signs at 5pm!
It took me a minute to find some change and the entrance to paradise. It was my first visit. I rang the bells and made the climb...and...bingo. I realized it really was my lucky day. I didn't ask for anyone specific, but struck gold (in a blue dress) anyway.
The experience was excellent about 9 in the LARS overall. All the aforementioned treats were indulged. However DATY was not available today because someones kitty was way too overworked. After her services were complete some broken egrish conversation was had. Then a request for a reverse session was submitted. I gladly indulged my fine petite provider.
Mimi is no longer to be found. She has a new name, and you will have to pay her a visit to find it out. Take it from me, its an investment worth making!

All ethnic backgrounds, bankers, construction workers, accountants, politicians, actors, taxi drivers - you name it. Young, old, drunk, sober, lunch time or after closing time.

I had the 11 - 12 shift with Mimi today. I have to agree with your assesment. She does have a great bod!!! I really think she would make a small fortune at a high class topless joint<VBG>. I drive to find it and I'll be damned if I can't find it. I follow the street it's supposed to be on only to run into the arena, I drive around and can't seem to figure out where it is. What throws me off is that the address I'm looking for appears to be some closed down diner. That makes me assume that's not where I'm looking for. I do a dozen laps around the neighborhood and even wind up by the two AMPs that used to be two doors from each other (Royal was one, I went there a year ago but wound up passing).
So I'm really almost ready to give up when I decide to go back to that closed down diner. I find a nice parking spot in front of the police officer memorial (ironic?). As I head near the address I see some Spanish guy parking a car with a provider-ish looking Asian chick. I'm wondering if this guy ordered some takeout or maybe it's just a couple going out for dinner. I convince myself that the AMP is this basement apartment behind the diner, but it looks a bit too spooky. When that couple goes around the corner I figure I've lost the trail. I decide to walk around the block. I've all but given up. As I turn the corner I see a doorbell out of the corner of my eye and realize that the place I was looking for is actually there, tucked away so conspicously that I almost missed it. I ring the bell and get let in.
I had a list of names to ask for but wound up just going to a room and in comes Mimi. She seems very friendly and looks nice. The problem I have is that I like round asses (I know you're thinking 'Asian girls don't have round asses' but I've seen it and enjoyed it). Mimi doesn't have one but she's still hot. I go to for the TS and damn the water is hot.
We hit the room and start kissing. She's rubbing my bare salami on her lap beard and I am sprung. She goes to rock the mike and does the oral rubber placement. She begins and I quickly realize that A) I have to pee and B) if I don't I will blow in three seconds. I tell her to stop and that I need to hit the head. She wasn't too happy about that.
I come back and we get back to it. I lighten her mood by tossing her on her back and enjoying some DATY. She's into it but is shivering after just a little bit of the master linguistics. I go for the Mish and damn if she's not tight as can be and working her muscles like she's milking a cow with her clam. I try to hold out and do what I can but we never got to another position. Mirage is open for business! I didn't see the "OPEN" sign lit, so I wasn't sure, but gave it a try anyway. They had 2 providers, Hana (buttaface, huge enhanced tits) and Candy. I chose Candy.

I'm pretty sure LE monitors these forums, already know where these establishments are, and so on, but actually linking these "stories" with the actual "location" can't ever be good.I'm sure this an many other forums provide the boys in blue with a great deal of intel that they make good use of. I'm sure they know pretty much what's going on, but why give details? These forums really do amaze me. Seems odd that people would post reports on just exactly happend, where, at what time and how much it costed them. I think for many the act of posting their adventures is almost as good as the adventure itself. Check some of the other forums, there are guys out there taking pictures of before, during, and after and posting the pics. Some even mention they they tip extra for the permission to use the pics.
Just my two cents.

Local LE uses the amps for fun too,no surprises there,off duty ofcourse ;) Only when house frows or illegal sex monitoring organizations start sniffing around is when you have to play hide and seek.
This country has so many parlors, there aren't enough paid public servants available to unearth them for many years to come. One closes, and 5 more open. The demand is huge, but the supply (here) is not enough.
Glad to report 1818 is back to business. Did not go there but mamasan said there were 4 girls there this afternoon. Have fun.
So I made another trip to my favorite part of town for Ethiopian cuisine with a distinctly Korean influence this evening. First of all, that part of town sure is sketchy (which is especially disconcerting, seeing as how I don't live very far from there). I made the trip past the door once, up to the light, then back down the other side of the street before going in, just so I could get an idea about the shady characters that were lurking nearby. I'm happy to report, though, that I had no real trouble at all, except that I sure with Mamasan would buzz me in a bit more quickly.
Anywhoo...Mamasan buzzes me up and greets me with the usual friendly smile, enhanced this time by the bouncing up and down. Actually, she looked especially good tonight, and sort of made me wish I could spend some time with HER rather than any of her girls. So she hugs me, kisses me, etc., then takes me by the hand and leads me into the room. She tells me that Penny and a "new girl" are there for the choosing. If you read my last (and first) post, you'll remember that Penny wasn't worth seeing again, so I chose new girl. I'm informed that "to be honest with you, she's not a really young girl, but she'll take very good care of you". Now normally, I'd probably have changed my mind at this point, but seeing as how I actually WAS a bit sore (not to mention a bit deprived of the flesh over the past few days, work being the bummer that it's been), I decided to press on. In a nutshell, the girl (whose name will rename unnamed, unless you PM me for the name, which, depending on YOUR name, I'll be happy to name) had an average body, below average looks, gave an above average TS and massage, and was just a smidge below average during the main event.

The reason this one took the 7.5 in attitude was the abundance of kisses she bestowed upon me AFTER the main event. I tried to return for a follow up session at the Sunny palace around 8 last night but LE was everywhere! Two MPDC squad cars on the corner, along with a large van/truck with tinted windows (Feds? ) right outside entrance. Also three fully dressed LE officers right outside the garage. Weighting my options, it just wasn't worth the risk. This plavce has got to be the most risky of all the AMP's, and for those of us that drive, trying to find parking is a fucking nightmare. Good think about that is, want be alot of other mongers in there so you'll have your pick and choose of the girls. I aborted.
And headed over to I street. Mamasan open the door promptly but strangly didn't ask me if I had been there before. Found that rather odd. She put me in room #1, which is right by the front door, and right beside a large living room type area with a tv, where another woman sat watching tv. Mamasan told me if I could wait for 5 minutes, and I agreed. I started thinking that I would have to walk in my towel, through the well lit living room area, to and from the table shower. After a minute or two, I decided to leave. But told her I'd be back later. By this time, I had really lost my appetite. I really had my heart set of G st, so I headed in after wasting an hour and a half driving around.

I have been in similar situations too where I felt uncomfortable; the room, the wait, a "new" Mamasan, etc. Unless I am seeing somebody I have already "had", I have chosen to leave also.
Go with the gut and think with the larger head. I think instinct is an important part of life. So, not that my opinion matters, but I think you made a smart move.

I differ in opinion and offer an explanation regarding freaking out about going in last night with all the action outside.
First of all look around. Did you realize that 24 of the highest paid athletes in the world were 100 yards away from you? Not to mention the hoards of super rich patrons from all walks of life such as heads of state, all the way down to multimillion dollar drug peddlers. This is the mix of people LE and the Feds have to deal with in and around all NBA basketball games.
None of the cars or suits, marked or not, were the least bit interested in what was going on in that pink palace once you went inside the door. But there is something to be said for following your instincts. However, I don't think the chances of a bust of an AMP is likely with all that other action going on around the area. Its hard also to imagine being in a safer area of DC with less chance of personal harm coming to you.
That said, check to see if there is a Wizards or Capitals home game on any nights you plan to venture down sixth or seventh streets. It will save you lots of traffic time at a minimum.
I chose to go today just after lunch time. Again I let fate decide who my provider would be as I did in my last DC report. Honey was selected for me. Honey has a nice tan in contrast to the former Mimi. Honey goes about 5', round butt, but no fat, tight abs, sholder length straight hair, pretty decent face, although not beautiful. She is shaved to a small landing strip, has full natural b cups and very large dark red nipples (PPs fave), I'd say approximately low 30s. When asked, she told me five girls were working today.
The TS was very thorough and good. She was concerned about my comfort and water temp. Once in the room I negotiated a double session. She asked for three jacks extra, but agreed to two jacksons above the norm. This I had no problem with. However, if more veteran members do, let me know and I will never again offer above normal compensation for above normal service.
Session started with a quick thorough rub followed by BTB. Covered AR was received, a flip with a brief CBJ, CG, with a mish finish. A quick clean up was followed with a through rub. One interesting technique was her pushing of finger nails for the bottom of my feet. New to me and it felt pretty good.
Round two was pretty typical. She requested doggy, which developed into horseback riding. I dried it out pretty bad with the pounding, so she changed her oil, and finished with mish. I thoroughly enjoyed those large nips, and I hope you can too!
All in all she is very pleasant. The only complaint I have, which I found with Mimi too was halotosis (sp?). Both girls had a bit of dragon breath, but oh well, I don't really care that much if they look good enough, which they both did. Another name there is Joy(new). I didn't see her, but heard she is young and pretty. Any reports on her or anyone else there are encouraged.
One the LAR scale, I'd give this one a 7.9.
Face 7, Body 8, Attitude 9, Service 7.
Recommended. Happy prowling, and a good vet's holiday!

If the establishment has a Mamasan as well as a Kitchen Mama, then buying Kitchen Mama something would most likely be an investment in kindness only. Mamasan is more likely to be in a position to return the favor. Of course as we know, charity is its own reward.
In general your idea is a good one. However I don't think candy would be such a great gift for a Korean woman. Most asians don't like the same kinds of sweets we do. They find them cloyingly sweet. You could buy her a treat from a Korean grocery store. There is one big one on 40, in the area of 695. They do have cookies and candies in there, but those are mosly for children.
Many Korean women do drink. So some soju or whiskey may be welcomed.

I agree 100% with the theory of the gesture of kindness. In most humans in general this starts some sort of chain reaction/relationship.
Now for instance Happiness had both Mamasan as well as a Kitchen Mama.
There were times when I did work for them Kitchen Mama many times skipped my house fee. So on my return visits some soju or after fishing trip take them fresh fish was my return gesture of kindness.
Which then in times brought food & drink even an occasional stay here 5min I have special lady for you today,along with extended time :)
Now this was just one Kitchen Mama and eventually rubbed off on Mamasan that took a liking to me.
I guess all in all their are times I just know the gesture of kindness is necessary.

I found the post above about Happinesss very misleading. Happiness is not open. I walked by there last night and I can assure you that a big padlock is still on the door and I for one have no hope of it being opened again.

You're right on about asians and our overly sweet candies. She'd probably happier if you'd brought a couple peanut buttered roasted squid (argh). For those of us who could drop a few pounds the typical koreans diet is IMHO much healthier than ours.
If you're inclined to make these kinds of gestures don't go overboard (he's a nut), don't do it often, and don't expect anything other than a smile, perhaps a little good natured flirting (maybe a hug). My intent has always been that I appreciate and enjoy your store.

It looks like some ideas need to come up for the idea for gifts.
Ok in my experience, this is back into July of this year, at CPHC, different citrus fruits got me to the VIP room quickly. Clementines, tangelos, etc, (out of the ordinary stuff) seemed to get noticed. I really don't remember the name of my provider but the service was EXCELLENT. Good attitude, very open to everything. It seems these ladies don't get very much in the department of fruit and they seem to enjoy citrus the most. I would stay away from anything too obvious (ie a watermelon) but I would imagine something like a pomegranite or asian pear would go over great. Generally I try to bring something with me to make the lady who opens the front door happy.
Possibly more help...for those of us who enjoy a beverage prior to our attendance at an AMP, it seems some places shun beer/liquor breath. Altoids or no altoids, still gets a bad reaction. I was sick 2-3 weeks ago. Not deathly ill but had a touch of the flu. Plus I had a sore throat. I was eating cough drops like some people smoke cigarettes. Well I got the urge, decided to travel. I get home early, had a few brews and realized I'm in trouble with mamasan and provider. Said the hell with it and popped a few cough drops and hit the metro. Arrived and was welcomed in. Everything went fine. Left very happy. No complaints of "have I been drinking". Even got some sympathy from my provider. Seems to work. Just some food for thought. Anyway, will post when "something" happens.

Most of the time. Some ladies might take a decent, thoughtful guy for a sucker, but I've found, especially with a favorite I see from time to time, that little gestures of kindness or a small gift can work wonders and the ladies often do show their appreciation by not being mechanical, going the extra mile, not upping their prices or going over time if they are not pressed.
This does not work every time, but it works for me far more than it fails.
One other thing: If you treat these women like people instead of objects to be used, they often appreciate that. Going to them drunk, dirty or abusive is not at all a classy thing to do.
I have had a number of the women tell me, often in broken English, that they dislike mean, demanding customers.
I treat them well (and that's not overpaying either) and I'm often rewarded with their generosity, which they express through the little things they do when they are working on me or letting me work on them
Even in this business, trust and respect are very important.

They would then give me back $20 or $40 so I would not walk away broke. Granted it's not everytime this happens. But it has happened enough to convince me that many of these gals have kind hearts. I reckon what you see in other people has something to do with what's in your own heart.

In my heyday I've not only spent many "vacations" with these ladies they have been virtually no expense possibly a hotel somewhere some gas and food. They enjoy spending that money.
Contrary to what one might think these women are really people who on their vacations spend at least three days of sleeping. Then like to go out and see the world (Paint the town RED) with someone who they enjoy their company and can TRUST.
Just one man's experience of many:)

LexLuther -- Amen to your observations. I too have had money handed back, either because the lady didn't have enough time or because, as you said, I was going to come up short. I can't help but think that the best of these ladies have hearts, families and the same cares the rest of us do. If I like a lady, I usually take her a small gift -- chocolate, kimchee, an article of clothing in which she's expressed an interest. It's partly an investment, but even more, it's my way of saying thanks for making the experience memorable and very pleasant. With the holidays coming up, I plan to buy gift cards and give them to a couple of ladies that have been very nice to me.
Seems like just the right thing to do, regardless of what comes next.

I hope no one misunderstood what I was saying. I'm not implying that any of these girls are selfish or whatnot. Just like any sector in society, there are nice girls and there are mean girls.
What my point was is that if you have to give something to get better service in return: That is a similar concept to golddigging.
There are people on this forum who tip extra after a great service only to attract some negative posts about how tipping too much will screw it up for the rest of us. Giving something extra BEFORE service is probably worse in that sense.
Personally, I don't mind other people giving gifts in the form of items or money, because I am guilty of it, also.
But you are right, EVERY single time I was with an AMP girl outside of the "workplace", they always wanted to pay for everything. The fact they offered is enough for me so I always insist on picking up the tab. Sometimes, the stubborness from both sides leads to physical altercations, LOL!

Russian women are more likely to be snooty and bitchy. The worst are the uniionized prostitutes in Amsterdam. "Pay, squirt, get out". One last thing from reading the recent string of posts.
Gift-giving is not a science, but I can guarantee you that if you want to give a gift out of "kindness", you'll find MONEY works the best. Food is okay, I guess, but they do in fact eat very well in there. Other gifts are YMMV.
Though I cannot speak for everyone, a couple of girls I knew just threw them away (candy, flowers, cards, etc.). One girl did show me a card one of you guys had made her using construction paper and pictures from a magazine or newspaper. It was very creative, and that she put into her purse.

Lex & AJ - Your knowledge is thorough, valuable and accurate.
I pity and despise the men who are so weak that they have to find a power trip by belittling and abusing women, especially those who work in the AMPs.
Kindnesses will be repaid if possible, and rewarded. Even though the Kitchen Mom may not directly reward you, you could only help yourself by giving her a gift too - you never know, you might get a delicious Korean meal. However, I would not give something to Kitchen Mom w/o giving something to the Mamasan. Just like in any place of business, customers come and go, but inter-office politics is constant (especially when they are all women). Don't snub the boss.
An extra shower, extra time, less monitoring, food, candy, a generally more relaxed and friendly atmosphere are some possible rewards.
Soju is a great gift idea - it would be appreciated and very much unexpected. Also, you can never go wrong giving any woman of any background flowers.
Finally, these women can be the most generous, honest people you will meet. At times, some of them can be almost naively generous and good-hearted.
One final caveat - become a regular customer (known to Mamasan) before you start gift giving. Otherwise it would come across as strange.

Right on about the Russians. The worst customer service for a group. Their nearest rivals are the Chinese outside of China, especially the ones working in Japan. They are notorious for pulling out egg timers to keep track of your time in the sack.
The Koreans working in Korea can be a pain to Americans but for the most part are gems as are the Thais.
Mexicans are up and down. Colombians can be iffy as well. I have only dealt with them in HK, Japan and Singapore. The ones in Japan are the most user friendly. Those in HK and Singapore can learn alot from the Thai.

So I went down town for a massage and paid well over a hundred for a massage. What an outrageous price for a back massage! Then to my surprise, the attendent disrobes! She was completely nude! Returned to G Street after many months and decided to roll the dice. Got assigned Joy--whose name suits her. Late posting, sorry.
The evening of Wednesday was rather nice. Decided I had a case of yellow fever and needed to get it flushed out of my system. Off to walking in the sun. If you guys combine a tropical vacation with mongering, try going to Curacao. It's the capitol of the Dutch islands of the Caribbean right next to Aruba. They have Campo Alegra. Almost as good as FKK. It is a goverment run facility, I believe it is an old army base. Kind of freaky as armed guards checks you out as you go in (at least you know they keep it safe). Pay $6 US to get in, there is a bar with stripper stage or you can walk the rows of little houses that are just a room with a bathroom to the side. ZhuxiI guess I may have picked the wrong word. There are various reasons why she may have gotten in trouble for "gifts".
1. "Extravagant" gifts bring attention. If someone sees a constant stream of men carrying bouquets of flowers or stuffed animals ringing the same doorbell, they're going to start to wonder.
2. As MoonView mentioned, there's probably jealousy involved.
3. As far as I know, there's the whole "older person knows best" sort of thing. That's why kids in Asian high schools always get beat up and bullied by their upperclassmen - especially girls at all-girl schools. So receiving gifts is just another reason for older co-workers and/or mamasan to give the girl a hard time.
4. Gifts usually turn out to be a waste, because as you said, if these girls wanted something, they can buy it themselves. I mentioned earlier that a couple girls I knew tended to just throw away the gifts they received.

The "VIP" card is no longer being issued. I did meet some new additions to the line up named Penny and Jenny. Penny was a bit more attractive than Jenny. Yes, on rare occasions, you may find a non-Asian amongst the other working women. I can recall seeing this once and hearing of this twice, all in or near NYC (one with a latina, one with a white girl, one with a black girl). Trying to search for it would probably be frustrating and futile, however, as it really is an oddity.
VitoTruelly an oddity. There used to be a Caucasian girl, Kimberly Sweet who worked for a time in Philadelphia at an AMP. In time she became an independent using the old dejavu alt.sex board and tbd to post on. Kimberly was easy on the eyes, intelligent and very popular. Met her when she worked at the AMP and later as an independent. She suddenly dropped out of sight, never to be heard from again. Truly missed. I also used to see a young lady at a South Jersey spa who claimed to be one quarter Korean. I doubt she was. She was a bit on the chubby side but had a great personality and did a very respectable bbbj.
