There have been a number of sporadic posts on the Carolina Square K-Bars over the years. It seems to be the general consensus that the F'ville street mongers are not fans on the establishments. Normally there are pejrative comments calling these places over priced Jack Shacks.
I have been frequenting the places over the past few years and find them a safer alternative than roaming the street. As a fan of Asian women and AMP lover this is the best place to get "some asian" given the paucity of AMPs in the area. This thread is devoted to these places. Perhaps we can get as much info shared on this threas as there are in similar threads on this subject in the Hawaii thread.
I will be heading down on Friday. I will make sure to list my report.

They are what they are. They are trying to milk you for as much money as possible. If your going to be in the area for a few days, visit the same place twice and (me anyways) have gotten much better service the second time. I thought the place I went to were rushed, but know that going in will help you slow it down. The place two over from the Korean diner was good a older Korean lady and a fat Hawaiian girl. Almost directly across from Mike's. Any of you guys check out Pumps on the end there?

Been to the Pump House. Ths place is a little odd for the area. Korean Mamasan, but black girls dancing. This is not the usual korean type bar. It seems like an actual strip club. I went there and they had one dancer on the stage and a few ladies working the floor. Extras may be available, but I didn't get that kinda vibe from the dancers. I was getting hounded by a girl there playing pool. She was looking for a pool partner, when I was leaving, she then asked me if I was interested in a little outside fun. I declined, she was quite a big lady and simply not my type, but she seemed to be there with the blessing of the mamasan.
Went there the other day. Got the best lap dance. It is an odd place for the location. I was the only guy for a while, there were a lot of girls there. Only one really talk to me, but she was really nice. I tried to go back but it was closed the second night. I thought it was a better deal then Mikes, but I met a good one there.
I was in the area early Saturday afternoon around 1:30PM and there were more bars open at this time than normally is the case. In total seven of the clubs were open. I stopped by Sunset Lounge and saw Jin. I’ve seen her on and off over the past few years. Jin is one of the youngest and more attractive of the daytime crew at Carolina Square. She is about 4’10” or so and is a 38B/C (naturals) with curly shoulder length hair. Jin has a great sense of humor, provides a GFE and is not in a hurry. Great Visit. Check the Raleigh board for the VIP in Youngsville. It is a trek up there but it's not too bad. They just "reopened" about 2 months ago. Haven't been since but some people have posted that they have been. It is kind of pricey. If ever at South of the Border down 95, check out Osaka. Prices are a little better.

I got the ol swich a roo pulled on me first off. started out by telling me "20 dollar for back room" well i gave in. got to the couch that was not in the back room but in the center of the store. lady checked my id and asked if i was a cop. of course i said no. at this time i am thinking oh yeah here we go i am going to get to go cheap. boy was i wrong.. " hey you 20 more dollar me give you massage!" I said happy ending? she said no.i gave 40 more..she smiled. grabed my johnboy jr and said "me take care of you." and then left. two sec later a 60 year old lady came over and started dancing to george michael's song faith. a long story short i was stupid.. paid 40 more and got to squeez a boob of a 60 year old koran lady. now i am stuck eating roman noodles till pay day.

I'm not sure when you visited or which one you visited. If you went in the evening you probabaly got played which is typical; however, if you want a "happy ending" you need to be specific. Tell her what you want and what you plan to pay...bottom line.
It took me some time to figure out how this game is played. Also get to know the bar girls and you will know what you can expect and for what price. This may take a few visits and some cash spent to learn who will play and who is out to play you. Also if you let them drain you they will oblige. But believe me you can get action!! The afternoons are best because they are slow.

If anyone wants to know how to do the game with the K-bars you should read my post from last year. Never expect to get everything on the first visit. They have to feel you out. Be respectful and have a sense of humor. I have hit dreams on a couple of occassions now and even gotten my price reduced on a couple of visits because it was either really slow (afternoon) or the provider wasn't getting any action. It helps to frequent one bar for awhile. When you do the other bars notice and wont jerk you around with the price is right game.

Way too much money and nothing to show for it but a tug, I've gotten more for less at the various strip clubs around town, and those are usually shit propositions.

Even with the abundance of info on this board, people can still screw things up. I am a pro when it comes to escorts on the internet, but when you ask me about AMPs or SW, I'm the biggest noob on the board. I decided that I didn't want to spend alot of dough, and I was planning on strolling the roads for a while to pick something up, and then I decided that if I couldn't find anything, I would try out one of the K-bars. Well, I only mongered for about 10 mins because I actually drove down the wrong road by accident (I'm not from there and usually stick to Bragg Blvd and the motels) and ended up on 301 and couldn't get back for the life of me. I know that you're thinking how hard is it to turn around, but somehow, it was.
I said screw the searching and went straight toward the lot where those bars are at. I had pulled in there a week before and saw a cute BSW, but never picked her up. I was hoping she would be there, but she wan't so I drove around and looked at the girls standing outside flagging you in. Kinda reminded me of Tijuana where the street girls grab your arm and try to pull you in.
I settle on the bar at the far right closest to the road. Not sure why, but I did. To make an already long story short. I tried to be strong and only spend $, but ended up $1. 8 al together for a handshake. I was totally turned off by the whole pushy experience, that I will never return again. Sometimes curiosity not only kills, but tortures the cat. Oh well. At least I know what it's like there now. GL to all and hopefully I'll have better luck strolling next time. It would be cool if I knew one of you on here that would show me the ropes, but I guess I'll just have to earn my stripes like everyone else. Out.

Hey, Rapidspender, don't give up to easily. My first trip to a K-Bar was worse than yours. I got a few tips from Trompe32 and have had much better success and have not spent more than $.6 per visit, not including the girlie drink.
My fave is Sunset (or Susset) and the 4'11" that Asianflu says is Jin. One time a rousing 69 and the next a saranwrap bj. One day I will go back for fs, but may have to spent more.
I had good sucess at dreams with Koni, a little older but nicely built. She does not care for bj but loves fs. I also have visited the place next to the pump house but cannot recommend because of the constant upsell.
The best tip of all is go in the early afternoon (1:30-2:30). I is usually very slow and they are willing to accept reasonable fees for service. Unless someone can tell me I am wrong, I would nver go back at night.

$.8 for a handshake is way out of line. .8 to $ max should work. Stay away at night.

You are right on. Afternoons will always work best. Become a regular with one or two of the gals. Jin at Sunset is awsome. She has a girl friend of her that stops in on and off and she is "a wild GFE" Feel free to PM if you are Senior and /or "trusted member". Avoid night time that's when the games begin and you lose your money.

Yep, I know. I had read this part of the forums extensively before I got there, but my problem is that I am not in NAM. I drive almost an hour and 45 mins to get there, and I can't leave until 6:30 at night at the earliest. Then I have to leave no later than 10:30 so I can be home in time. I guess for me. If you are planning to buy a car or house and want to up your negotiating skills, visit one of these places first. LOL I use to go to some of these places when I was stationed at Bragg in 98/99 and liked to go in and jerk their chain. I use to go to this one specifically in the next block over, next to this pet shop and some type of night club. It was called Willy's Sport Bar or something. It was a two level joint, upstairs had a couch and pool table, downstairs had a small little room, pool table, couple of couches, and the main bar. There is a second one that I went to last time I was down there (2001), across from the Best Western on Bragg Blvd. It was a two level joint as well, lower level they played this loud dance music and upper level was the more quiet with karoke machine and pool tables. Didn't get jack from this place and since I charged $200 worth of drinks on my CC, next day I called my credit card company up and said my card was stolen LOL They did a chargeback. So it worked out good for me in the end money wise.
Not much to add except to also say that from the few times I have been there (7 or 8) day time is better for service. I guess it is supply and demand. Night is busier with many more guys walking around there. The few times I have been there day was more interesting. My first night visit was years ago and I really got ripped off. Partly my own fault. Ok, mostly my own fault. LOL.

2. Buy a drink for yourself. Everything else is house fee. You may get brownie points if u buy her one.

4. If u don't like the price-leave. They may compromise during non peak hours / days.
5. Cruise the square first. They will pop outside to get u inside. Choose wisely. Hint: slightly older women give better service.
6. Once u choose a K-bar visit only that one. Unless you get bad service or price. The longer the relationship w/ the bar the better service will get.

I got to know this girl so well, she gave me her care for the day while mine was in the shop, I spent a weekend at her apartment, had her digits, and we actually went out drinking and clubbing a few times without charge. I agree about caution and sharing personal info unless you are single and want to become involved. It was still pay-for-play and nothing more than that. Just a better location privacy and I assume she did not have to kick backmoney to the club. I'm not sure how the club/K-girl $split works . In some cases I think some of the girls there are actually the proprietors and the other girls work for them. I'm sure it's a similar situation like the AMPs other than most of the K-girls at the bars were former spouses girl firends of GIs. They are just trying to make a living.

The chick was waaay to thick to my liking and was high too. I told her no thanks. She said ''u don't like me?'' I said i can get better thats safer and cheaper. I left there and hit dreams. Not to say that something other than drinks and conversation can't be had in there, but I doubt non-Asians would get any attention.
I've been to similar "social clubs" in other cities....not the typical bar or dance-club vibe....more of the old-style social clubs where people would go to really dance and talk.
The Fayetteville area has a large-enough Asian population to support those bars, though. But every time I drive by there, there seems to be a very low customer population, which leads to speculation about other things.

Given that, I don't think of Fayetteville as having a large Korean male population. No offense, but when I was stationed in Fayetteville in 98/99, it was black and white, with a little bit of a growing Hispanic population growing. Not a whole lot of Asian men strolling around. In fact the closest Asian male population would be in northern VA.

Been reading your post for a while now and this is my first posting.
Regarding the bars on Bragg Rd. I've been to them and actually know the proprietor of these places. Although they welcome everybody (after all they do like money) they do cater to Koreans more. You will not get anything other than a conversation, some dancing and singing and very, very light wallet at the end of the evening. Don't be surprised if at the end of the evening you recieve a bill in the 300. 00 or above range which is on the low end.
As far as getting something "else" forget it. The proprietor has friends who are LEO's, there are videos cameras everywhere and thus the strict policy.

Went to the square last night (a Monday) for the first time. Think the place was dreams. Went in with a few friends. I think I bought 1 drink for myself, the mamasan and the girl. Her name was Tammy. Small little thing with hair down to her ass.

I go in buy myself a cheap drink buy the girl an expensive drink. She drinks it donw and tries to get more. We follow this pattern until I don't want to buy drinks and then she moves on the the next customer. Well this was starting to be the case until I made a change. I bought one drink to see how she would talk. When she started asking for more I started to ask what I owuld get out ofthis. Well she basically said that 100 we could go to the back and get more private. That was to broad for me so I needed some clarification and I said that I only had 40. Well it must have been a slow day because she said ok let's go. Well I am not sure where the back is, but all we did was go to the back of the big room we were already in. then she came in and tole me to pull my pants down and she would take care of me like she promised. Well sorry to say that all she wanted to do was a hand job. Well for me I like the real thing and I told her that. Well she said that if i had 100 more we could go all the way to the back and take out clothes off. I said with the clothes off are we going to just do this again. She said that I could suck you. I have never been to a K bar at night. Too many folks willing to shell out way to much money. I figure it balances out for .4 you could get fs from a sw but you still have to find a safe spot. Since I have decided to not go back to VIP, I made the drive to Fayetteville after reviewing this thread for my Asian fix. Since my starting point is in the middle of the two, the drive is not an issue. Found the square and the only place that seemed to be busy was Mickeys. Well, there not popping out any more. They've been warned. The local ALE has been looking the otherway, but now Raleigh is involved and there no covering it up. I saw the letters sent to the establishments- Illegal activity has been taking place at your business and as a business owner you are responsible- HUH, now don't we all know that if illegal activity were taking place they would have busted them on the spot????
The businesses are hurting. I stopped in at my lucky spot yesterday and had a nice conversation with the owner. They need our patronage now guys. I went in chatted for an hour and gave 10$ for the pepsi. You know those ladies have always been there for us to talk to, it sure would be a good sign from the customers to keep supporting them. The economy is hurting everyone and just because the city coffers are empty these ladies do not need to lose their livelyhood.

If you have been to Korean and can speak some language, you can point out prices there are minimal with younger girls. I drove passed by around 9:00 pm and it was opened but also saw a undercover cop in a truck outside the place with those lights inside the windshield of the truck. Seemed and looked like a sting to me. There is a AMP on Bragg boulevard which is pretty good, the usual with a tip flip for additional service. Ask for Annie, she's really good, if she's still there. This was all last week.

I finally got around to checking this place out and what a let down!
It was around midnight or so I think last Friday night and on the way home from being out with some friends I finally decided to stop in. I blew right past the "private club" written on the door. When I went in it was COMPLETELY empty. Only one old korean lady sitting playing a video poker game. I said hello and she replied with "nobody here". It did look completely empty although I'm not sure who coulda been in the back. I said I was just looking for a drink and she was completely uninterested in getting me one so I just walked out. I normally would maybe scratch the surface a bit more but I just got the impression there was nothing to be had that night. With a name like Shady Lady I expected to be bum rushed by half-naked asian beauties when I walked in. Take this report FWIW and maybe check it out yourself and see if you get a different experience. Far as I can tell its one of the few Korean Bars left in town.
