So I hit up the north side stroll, Clark. Place was decerted. Except for the usual 3 BSW(old, big titties, and newbie) on the Lunt bus stop, which of course I declined. Just got back(2:30pm) from a west side adventure. Started over at Pulaski/16th hoping to find Iesha and those big titties. Good LuckBe careful with Rogers Park, it's not a good place to cruise anymore...especially Morse, there's usually 1-3 LE cars hanging out from Clark to Glenwood. I don't even bother looking around there anymore. I used to live right on Morse 15 years ago, and could walk out the door and score within 5-20 minutes, those were the days lol.
Up on Sheridan and Pratt (and around the Village North) you will catch some sometimes around evening rush hour and a little later...just sux finding a spot around there at those times unless you're on foot.

Aren't Uncle LEO's operatives always wired for sound with a radio that is transmitting continuously? Seems like they would almost have to be for their own safety. Has anyone thought of using a signal strength meter or other detection equipment that would immediately indicate that someone is wearing a transmitter?
On a related matter have any scanner aficionados monitored such transmissions just for fun? I remember a decade or more ago one time my friends and I went over to State Line Road / Hammond when we heard about a sting happening. We figured we'd go listen and watch but never saw nor heard anything so it was a wasted effort. Seemed like a good idea at the time. My scanner stopped working long ago so I have no idea if it's even possible now or if everything is digital and/or encrypted. (That would not affect simply detecting a transmitter; only listening to it.)

You could always try the Madison corridor( Madison from just east of Western all the way to Central). I drove through around 11am this morn and there were two bsw's out on Kenton just south of Madison and another at Washington and Kenton. Saw another at Madison just east of Laramie. And one by the park on Lake about halfway between Central & Austin. Also give Pulaski a try between Roosevelt & 16th St. then west(a right on 16th) on 16th St. all the way to Cicero Ave. Then you could make a right on Cicero and take it north back to Madison.

Tough to find a sw in the downtown area. Being from out of town, BE CAREFULL, the Chicago PD runs frequent sting operations.
I'm a former regular poster at this site (late 2003/early 2004) before I moved out West. But I come back to Chicago several times a year and am always tempted to make the rounds of favorite mongering areas. Got lucky back in late July with "Tina" who I picked up on Roosevelt near Menard. Did full service in the back seat of the rental car. (I posted the full report at the World Sex Guide forum, which doesn't have nearly the amount of activity this site does.) I will be back again next week and even if it's cold I will make the rounds to see what is out there and report back.

I cruised 47th st twice before the holiday. There was a couple of black girls on Cicero and another girl that looked out of it a few blocks west of Pulaski that I passed on. Any of us who have been doing this for a while have had this same thing (or very similar) happen. She was never going to service you, just rob you regardless of how much money you had. It is just a hustle. When I was new at this about 22 years ago and it happened the first time, she got my wallet. I was niave. It has happened a few times since and frankly $20 is a small price to pay to get someone like her out of your car.

Well this is a followup to my last report as I ran across a Puerto Rican SW the same night I had Jessica. I found this jewel over on Grand as I was very hesitant as some chicks in the area be with guys but this one gave me the look. I was back in the Chicago area for a visit from the West Coast over New Year's. I hit some of the SW circuit I went to when living there - Cicero Avenue, 47th Street, Roosevelt Road, even 63rd Street in Summit - but I saw no action at all. I did the full cruise last night, early morning. The time frame was 2am to 4am. I started on North Avenue and went west from the Kennedy. Did not see one thing at all from the Kennedy to Cicero Avenue. Went north on Cicero to Addison and saw nothing. Crusied up and down the usual routes and saw nothing in this area.

Hey guys I have the craziest story to share with you. It was this past Saturday I was pumping gas at the Citgo on Western by Chicago Ave about 11am or so. As I'm pumping I notice by the a black guy and a WSW leaning against the building just hanging out. Had a delivery late in the morning out to U. I. C. And then had to go to those shitty little apartment buildings at the corner of Madison and Kedzie. Well I got to the apartments and realized that I had dropped the wrong material at U. I. C. And had to go back. To get to the report I traveled Madison from Racine to Kedzie 4 times without seeing anything, you usually do not see anything east of Western, but it is not uncommon to see some streetwalkers between Western and Kedzie, the liquor stone at Madison and Francisco is one place I frequently see them. So I made my delivery to the apartments and headed west on Madison, there is another dead spot once you get to that little shopping area just west of Hamlin all the way up to Kildare, did not see anything on Madison until I got to the viaduct at Madison and Kenton. There I seen a decent looking BSW with a nice ass, she was walking east on Madison, in this type of weather you rarely find them standing in one place for to long, which to me makes it a little harder to spot them. Given the fact that they arrested so many in the last week, you can guarantee that there will be several more stings upcoming in the 75th & Halsted area.

You give some great tips. I'm sure all the arrests made by the vice squad get listed but some arrests by district teams or individual patrol officers don't always get on. I've been around since the 70's and know a lot of hookers and a few cops too.

For real. I think I only saw one white guy, a couple mexicans, some trannys, and the rest were black guys. Most likely it has to do with the fact that cops pull over more minorities than white folks. For the most part white folks don't look like they're not up to no good (I imagine it has to do to with the way we dress and the cars we own).
I think there are several reasons why the vast majority of those arrested for prostitution related offenses are minorities.
The areas where the stings are held are typically poor with large minority populations. Prostitution is more blatant in these areas, so decoys have a better chance of success than in other areas. I monger primarily on the north side, and I cannot remember the last time I picked up a SW who was dressed like a *****.
It's not about driving prostitution out of a certain neighborhood anymore; it's almost like meeting a quota, the squads needing to make a certain number of arrests, so they run stings in areas with the best chance of succeeding.
I don't know if this applies to blacks, but I do know that Mexicans tend to swoop in for the pickup right away. As I said earlier, I never make the pickup on the first pass, but I've seen Mexicans do it quite often. As a result, I've probably missed out on a lot of good opportunities over the years, but I've also never been arrested.
The prevalence of strolls is not what it used to be, at least up north. Back in the "Golden Age" of mongering (70's and 80's), the main strolls (Broadway, Lincoln, Wilson) were the only place you could find action. There are still strolls, but now you can find action anywhere. It's not blatant. The girls are dressed casually. They're not flagging down customers (for the most part, there are still some who do, unfortunately). It's about eye contact, a nod, a look. For me, mongering is a far more discreet activity than it used to be. Before, if you made a pickup, pretty much everybody around would notice. Now, I doubt if anybody in the vicinity is aware of what's happening.
Discretion is the better part of valor. It's better for you (less attention, less chance of being caught in a sting), it's better for the SW (less attention, less chance of being hassled by cops), it's ironically even better for the neighborhood (not having the stigma of being a "hooker haven", which "normal people" tend to avoid).

You really have to check out the CPD website on a regular basis. The unfortunate guys who get nabbed stay on for thirty days. It all depends on where the sting is being done as to the race of the arrestee. One of these most recent stings seems to have been done at 75th & Halsted, an area where most white mongerers aren't likely to be looking. I've seen the board when most of the arrestees where white. When the cops were doing more stings up on North Ave., the vast majority of the arrestees were white.
There has been a lot of good reports and advice given here. The bottom line here is be careful and try not to draw attention to yourself. I see mongers do a lot of stupid things. For example, there is the guy that will see a girl on the opposite side of a busy street, and then do a U-turn to be the first to get to her. That's kind of obvious if Leo is watching. Then there is the guy that will stand there with his car idling while negotiating with the girl standing by his window. If she doesn't get in the car, she might be a plant and you don't stand there with a girl next to your car and get spotted. I could go on, but I think the idea is clear- know your surroundings and try to stay anonymous.

Cook County sheriff's police who busted a prostitution ring on the Northwest Side this week discovered an "elaborate" video system used to record clients, the sheriff's office says.
The system featured a hidden camera in a hallway, more cameras in a bedroom and a pin-sized camera inside a wall fan, according to the office. Tapes going back years were also found.
The system was discovered when deputies arrested 53-year-old Guo Yu on Monday after answering an ad for a "superb authentic Oriental rub," the office said in a release.
"All tapes show male customers coming into Yu's bedroom, then exchanging cash for sex before leaving," the release stated. "Approximately 30 hours worth of tapes have so far been confiscated, though more tapes have been erased."
Investigators were trying to determine whether any of the tapes were used "to further any other criminal activity against the male customers," according to the release.
"We're reviewing tapes and the hard drive of the computer in her apartment to determine the number of clients on tape," said sheriff's spokesman Steven Patterson. "(We're) then trying to determine how many are identifiable. We're still doing that, so we have no idea yet how many that will be."
Sheriff's police responded to an ad on an Internet site promoting a massage by a 28-year-old "beautiful, highly trained and skilled young lady," the office stated. The ad promised "a totally relaxing experience" in the woman's "beautiful home, in a relaxing Oriental setting."
An undercover sheriff's officer arranged for a Monday afternoon appointment at the woman's apartment in the 5400 block of North East River Road. Once inside, Yu quickly offered sex for cash, the office said.Yu briefly left the room and set up a video monitor connected to a camera hidden in the hallway outside her apartment door, the office said.
"On the monitor, Yu saw officers outside her apartment door and, though she was already naked, she nervously returned to the bedroom and tried engaging in conversation with the undercover officer," the sheriff's statement said. "She was then placed under arrest."
Yu was charged with misdemeanor prostitution.
Sheriff's police said they also discovered jamming equipment to block any cell phone or text message transmissions from the apartment.
She is to appear in Rolling Meadows court March 25.

Did a quike cruise the other night at 47th, not a good scene. I thought the warm weather should bring activity back, but don't know why, it's not the way it should be.

You are right in an area that is known for sw's. From the I-55 going south along Cicero Ave.all the way to Archer, is an area that sw's can be had. CHICAGO — When the body of Chicago's school board president was found partially submerged in a river last fall, a bullet wound to the head, cameras helped prove it was a suicide.
Friends had speculated someone forced Michael Scott to drive to the river before shooting him — and maybe even wrapped his fingers around the trigger.
But within days, police recreated Scott's 20-minute drive through the city using high-tech equipment that singled out his car on a succession of surveillance cameras, handing the image from camera to camera. The video didn't capture Scott's final moments, but it helped convince police his death was a suicide: He wasn't followed. He wasn't following anyone. He never picked up a passenger.
The investigation offered a riveting demonstration of the most extensive and sophisticated video surveillance system in the United States, and one that is transforming what it means to be in public in Chicago.
In less than a decade and with little opposition, the city has linked thousands of cameras — on street poles and skyscrapers, aboard buses and in train tunnels — in a network covering most of the city. Officials can watch video live at a sprawling emergency command center, police stations and even some squad cars.
"I don't think there is another city in the U.S. that has as an extensive and integrated camera network as Chicago has," said Michael Chertoff, the former Homeland Security secretary.
New York has plenty of cameras, but about half of the 4,300 installed along the city's subways don't work. Other cities haven't been able to link networks like Chicago. Baltimore, for example, doesn't integrate school cameras with its emergency system and it can't immediately send 911 dispatchers video from the camera nearest to a call like Chicago can.
Even London — widely considered the world's most closely watched city with an estimated 500,000 cameras — doesn't incorporate private cameras in its system as Chicago does.
While critics decry the network as the biggest of Big Brother invasions of privacy, most Chicago residents accept them as a fact of life in a city that has always had a powerful local government and police force.
And authorities say the system helps them respond to emergencies in a way never before possible. A dispatcher can tell those racing to the scene how big a fire is or what a gunman looks like. If a package is left sitting next to a building for more than a few minutes, a camera can send an alert.
Cameras have recorded drug deals, bike thefts and a holiday bell ringer dipping his hand into a pot outside a downtown store. Footage from a camera on a city bus helped convince a suspected gang member to plead guilty to shooting a 16-year-old high school student in 2007.
In the death of the school board president, the cameras helped diffuse mounting suspicion and anger.
"It really closed that piece of the puzzle," police Superintendent Jody Weis said. "We don't know what was going through his head, but we definitely know he was alone."
The network began less than a decade ago with a dozen cameras installed in Grant Park to deter violence during the annual Taste of Chicago festival. It now includes private cameras as well as those installed by a variety of public agencies.
While authorities won't say exactly how many cameras are included, with 1,500 installed by emergency officials, 6,500 in city schools and many more at public and private facilities, nobody disputes an estimate of 10,000 and growing. Weis said he would like to add "covert" cameras, perhaps as small as matchboxes.
City officials from around the world have visited Chicago to see the system and how effective it is.
Chicago police point to 4,000 arrests made since 2006 with the help of cameras. And, an unpublished study by the Washington-based Urban Institute found crime in one neighborhood — including drug sales, robberies and weapons offenses — decreased significantly after cameras were installed, said Nancy La Vigne, director of the institute's Justice Policy Center.
"It does stop people from coming out and acting the fool," observed Larry Scott, who lives in one of the city's last remaining public housing high rises.
He said residents rarely complain, unless they get caught for a minor offense or the cameras fail to record a violent attack.
"People were upset when that boy was killed by the 2-by-4 and there were no pictures," he said, referring to the beating death of a high school student that was recorded by cell phone but not city cameras last year.
Police say they usually hear from Chicago residents about the cameras only when they want one installed in their neighborhood or worry one will be removed. Such a claim is supported by an unlikely source: The American Civil Liberties Union, which has criticized the use of cameras as an invasion of privacy and ineffective crime fighting tool.
"It does appear that people only object is when they get a ticket (because of a camera) for running a red light," ACLU spokesman Edwin Yohnka said.
Although courts have generally found surveillance cameras placed in public don't violate individuals' privacy, Yohnka said they could too easily be misused.
"What protections are in place to stop a rogue officer from taking a highly powerful camera and aim it in a way to find or track someone who is perhaps a former love interest or something like that?" he asked.
Aric Roush, director of information services at the city's 911 center, responded that dispatchers see nothing officers wouldn't see if they were on the scene.
"You can't afford to put a police officer on every single corner (and) it is a lot more cost effective and efficient to put a camera where you don't have eyes," he said.
Chicago residents tend to be tough on crime and are likely to support any tool police use, said Paul Green, a Roosevelt University political science professor. Many literally applauded the officers who swung billy clubs at protesters during the 1968 Democratic National Convention, he recalled.

Then I went and did the midway stroll, and also the w north ave stroll, just got home now, 1am, all in all saw about 5 SW (2 WSW and 3 black) and none of them over a 3 on the SW scale (and I'm being generous!) Hopefully once the weather gets Consistantly warmer there will be more action, but thus far it's been too inconsistant for me to warrant taking these long gas guzzleing strolls more than once a week or so. Has anyone seen anything out there besides the bs that I have?

Took the maniehiem stroll tonight at 11pm. I saw a few WSW but they were both too scary looking. Plus there are so many cops in this area, I don't know how some of you risk getting pulled over here, there seems to be le just waiting around. Out on Tue night on 47th st between Western and California 3 lsw, 2 bsw, 1 wsw. 2 of the lsw looks 6. Between Pulaski and Cicero 2 bsw 1 wsw but 2 lo driving by.

Seen 3 bsw on 45th and Cicero 2 by gas station 1 across the street. 1 wsw 48th and Cicero. The wsw about 7 and the bsw about 5.

It was a good night yesterday.
It could of been better if I didn't try the number I got today when I woke up and it was d/c, LOL.

Ok, so left my house around 1:15am.
Got on the highway went around 47th and Archer.
All of those spots were really dead.
I got to Cicero by Midway and came back north.

I was out last night from 2am till 4am cruising around and I went down kedzie to 47th, over to ashland, and over to 63rd, back up to western and west on 47th to cicero, then down to madison and all over and saw a few decent BSW's and none really made me want to stop.
