Someone that is a 5 on the SW scale prob isn't worth grabbing anyway. Anyone out in this weather will probably get in your car for 20 or 30. But, I can't fault them for trying. If someone is willing to give them 40 at the start, that is on them. But in the winter, the monger is a much better position as the alternative for the SW is to get out of the car, back into the freezing cold, and the risk that the next pickup is LE. As for me, I try (and usually succeed) with 20 and a promise of tip. Sometimes I'll go to 30 at start if they are clean, somewhat average-to-attractive, and if I am tired of looking for others.

Someone grabs your smartphone with google voice etc, and you have to pay a lot to replace it. In addition you most likely have personal information on your phone that you don't want shared with the world. Unless you have a strong password, how many people really do, they probably will quickly run up several thousand dollars worth of international calls to some back water country and you will have to fight with your phone company about paying that bill.

I agree with the provider theory in principle with the caveat that you do put your self at risk in a lot of different ways out here. It's possible you can get hurt on the street or in a girls place of residence. If it doesn't feel good it's probably not. Don't take too big of a chance.

You can do a search on the link and you will find that it is a scam designed to get your name, number, picture, town, and city off of a website that promises all on a national database for those who have solicited prostitutes. The way it works is that fakes post ads on BP and you text back. Once they have your "information" (at this point. Probably only your number) they contact you with an email message that says something like, "xCity, xState Enforcement is using this service to catch guys (insert url with your telephone number at the end) and I saw your number is active. If I were you I would delete it." You can respond via text, but they won't answer. When you click on the link, you can see what they have so far. Your number and all other information (pic, city, state) "pending." There is a Delete Profile button that, when you click on it, takes you to three choices: 1) pay $295 and they will contact the complainer (the person who allegedly gave the information up) and require them to get all information (eg. Your personal information, hard evidence, witness statements, etc). To them within 7-15 days or your profile will automatically be deleted. 2) pay $395 and they will make the requirement for 5-7 days. 3) pay $495 and they will give the complaintant 24 hours to get them the information. They promise to remove the profile permanently if conditions aren't met.
So. You pay some amount and then you pray that the complaintant can't come up with the info in time. Or. If they do, you're out the $.
The rub is that none of it is true. Oh. They might post the information. And you could be trying to explain why it is up, or they will only post what you give them. They are counting on you responding, researching, having an attorney contact them, or worse. They will simply call you and get your name off of your voice mail (if you don't answer) and your pic off your phone (if you keep it on there) - or get that information from you with an offer. The bottom line is, once they get the money. They don't eliminate the profile, but they repeat the profile again elsewhere with another offer. Or. They drain your cc account.
One website stated that this scam originates in India and there isn't much you can do once they have your information.
Be careful! I guess the only way to avoid all of this is to be sure to use an untraceable phone without your name etc. Attached.
If you do get a text as described, your best bet (if you don't have name and pic attached to phone in your voice mail) is to call your provider and change numbers. Then the only thing they have is a cell number.

My second post but lets be honest I've had several experiences but none worth reporting until tonight. Just want to share my experience here, hopefully saves some people some trouble. 99% of the SWs I have encountered will take $20-30 up front. And as cheezy as it sounds, you can let them know you will tip after if things are cool. I have tipped as little as $5 and they have still been thankful for it. I don't think I would ever trust a SW I have never met with $40+, let alone agreeing then to take them somewhere and get out of the car. Just drive immediately to your preferred spot, not theirs, and if they complain just drop them back off and tell them you look for them when they are ready to get busy. Don't give a single dollar until you get parked in your preferred spot and ready to go. The farther away from where you found them the better. Those ready to play don't mind an extra 5 minutes of driving. Those that complain, ask for money for hotels or stop at gas stations for cigs, or those that want you to go to their spot--99% of the time they are scamming you. And this is the type of activity where if you can't tolerate getting burned for $20 once in a rare while, you probably aren't going to have much fun doing this overall. Just don't get burned for $50+ .

I am sure all of the other guys here will agree with that as well. So, with that said, like anything in life, if you put in enough effort you will be rewarded and hopefully you will be blessed with a diamond who will give you her number and you may want to become regular with her. They are out there, we just don't know when and where.
