Interesting. I was there just the other day and I spoke with a guy who was at the counter. It was late and the place was dead. I asked him with the hotel being next door, if he ever sees girls come in. He knew what I was implying and said "not often but every once in awhile especially during the summer. " And he said the girl he saw come in last came in a few times during the day, walked around, and then left, so he figured it out pretty fast. Anyway, there is definitely potential there. Well I did not think I would be looking tonight at all. I was on my way home and it happened to be down 47th st when I saw a thin white girl standing by the bus stop. On the way home tonight decided to check out the North ave. Area since the weather was nice. Things are definitely looking up. Did notice a cute blonde strolling on Ashland north of North Ave. Took the long way around and stopped off in the alley to relieve myself. When I got back to the car, noticed an unmarked parked on the next block. Circled back to ashland and wabansia to see the blonde headed back to North Ave. When I hit the red light, I noticed a squad with it's headlights on in the Hollywood Grill parking lot. She got to the corner and smiled at me, and then turned up North Ave. When the light turned green, I noticed the squad had pulled out and was prepared to follow me down ashland, so I just kept on going. Look out there.

Don't know what to tell you. Where are you looking on North and Western? What time of day? What are you seeing or not seeing? Are you checking doorways, sidestreets, and things other than the obvious? Are you making one pass or several? You may have also hit a bad streak, following some stings by LE. My experience tells me it takes patience and you do hit some occasional dry spells. Vary your cruising times and keep your eyes open. But I also hope you are following the cruising tips offered on this site. Don't get desperate and pick up just anyone and be aware of your surroundings. I have heard of guys tired of dry spells that pick up girls worse-looking and more smelly than warthogs and take chances that get them busted. Stay safe!

I'm guessing it will pick up a little as the weather gets warmer. As you can tell from my username, I popped my cherry in that area. I drove through there last Friday and it was dry as hell! So was North Avenue. There were a few stings last year around this time up on Kingsbury - just north of North Ave (by Circuit City). I'm hoping this will be a plentiful summer in that area - although it hasn't been really active since around '01. I plan to hit that area again this weekend, but don't expect much. I'll report on my findings.

It's been dry for most of the winter, and the cops have been out in force to push some of the gentrification going on in that area, but with the investment dropping off...it wouldn't surprise me if hte area picked back up.

Go to Clark street between clark/devon to clark/howard. And check Howard/Sheridan to howard and clark theres always action there. My hood is Rogers Park so I'm not sure if this hott chick by Crowbar how much they charge if ne one knows post it on this thread. Anyways after all this I took my freind back to rogers park. And I was pissed off. So I decided to check the Howard / Sheridan stroll again. There was nothing dry.
So I drove back to Madison / Ashland stroll. At this time it was about 515 am. When I got there I saw 2 BSW I really far and one average size nothing special and the fat BSW was talking to a john I guess about a BJ ne ways nothing special. So I took Cicero going towards Madison. Theres was a few BSW walking around but nothing special. So while driving down Madison approaching the Garfield Park this black guy in a Lincoln pulls his window down and asks me what am I looking 4. And I told him some SW. And he said come with me I know where to take you.
I was naive and stupid and deseperate. I have been ripped off before on the west side and south side by these black guys that claim there pimps or whatever. So I made a big mistake again. I went with the guy. We drove to an alley. He called the so called girl. On his cell. He said she don't work the streets. Ne ways all I had was 20. He said shes up in the building I'm calling her. He padded me down searching to see if I had ne weopons and kept on asking me if I was a cop. Then he said gimme the 20 dollars. I said no I wanna see the girl first. He said you need to pay before you go up there. I was a little hesitant but at this point scared. So I gave him the 20. Then he wanted to take my keys of my car. He said I could use them as a weapon. Then I told him no I aint gonna give you my keys. Then he told me to stay by the building and shes gonna come down and get me. He took off in his car. She never came down. And I left. It was so stupid of me again to get ripped off. This is about the tenth time I've been ripped off either on the south side or west side ne ways. Thank god he didn't hurt me or take my car keys. Or anything else. So I took off after all this. And I was kinda scared. So driving around Cicero Madison again. I saw 2 BSW pretty good lookin about a 6 or 7 on the SW scale. I whiistled at them but they just blew me off they were on a side street. So after all this I took my sorry ass back to rogers park taking cicero. As to Luxury and Ice, let alone all professional providers, they don't care how young or good looking you are or even how "big" you are. They are about the dollar! Heres what happened with the one crackish SW. The one time she got in my car immediately the cops turned the corner, it took her forever to get her belt on, and I just went off to the closest alley and asked her to get out (I wrote about this incident in one of my reports). The second time I pulled up to her and asked if she wanted a ride (granted I had already known she was a SW at this point cuz id seen her in other guys rides before and in mine earlier that week). Figured I get a quick fix before work. Went up Paulina st. and LE was parked. Drove around and parked so I can see the so-call SW and waited. Cruised 47th a few times over the last week. I saw one blonde SW west of Pulaski that was literally bouncing off the walls she was so fucked up. I saw her doing the same wobbly walk on my next pass too so it wasn't drumming up biz. I saw another not so great looking blonde that I'd tried before a year or two ago and wasn't worth a repeat. There was also a nasty BSW on Cicero that I didn't give a second look to. On my next pass, I saw a girl just W of Kedzie that I thought could have been Nicole aka Popeye who is always worth your time. She had dyed blonde hair and a white jacket and was covering her right eye with the hair. I stopped just past her and she wouldn't walk to the car and I wasn't getting out and walking as le seems to show up every few minutes on that strip so I went around the block and she was gone. I saw her a few minutes later standing with a guy at the EL station at 49th and Kedzie so she didn't catch a date unless it was pretty quick. I checked her out from a medium distance and unless she changed a lot while cleaning up, it wasn't her. Again she wouldn't come over to the car and she knows me and the car, so I think not. If anyone sees this chick out there and gets some action from her--post on it. I also cruised the old uptown strolls a few weeks ago about 10-11 pm and had no luck there.
There might be hope for the summer.. Spotted 2 BSW near Western/North, and 2 W/LSW near Grand/North at about 7pm. No LE when I made the round.

Hey all, I have been lurking for a while and I thought I would add some info on my 4th of July rip off. She goes by the name of V. V. She complains about being hit by a bus and has a rod in her hip/leg. To make a long story short she agreed to come to my house for 50 bucks, than said she needed to pick up meds at CVS a half block from California/Devon. I should have known better but she had a hot little bod, I think shes pureto rican. Once she got the 50 she kept saying not to follow her in the store. She was buying all kinds of crap, pharmacy was closed, I knew I was going to get ripped off. When she left the store she said she had to drop the stuff off and for me to drive around the block and talking other shit. I was going to just go when I realized I had my cell phone that has a camera so I snapped a few pictures, she covered her face with bag and went in the alley, kept on yelling for some guy BEN to help her, after a few mins some chump gang banger on a bike came around jumped off his little kiddy bike and lifted up his shirt to show a gun and I took off. V. V. Is between 19-23 Y. O I would say, she has acne scars of face, she has been around the Devon stroll for a while, I think she lives in one of the buildings across from CVS one block west of California and half a block south of Devon. So if you see a hot little P. R on Devon keep going, not worth the trouble. I guess I took one for the team today. I usually get outcall massages but those are usually $200 hour but safe.

Shes not puertorican, shes half greek and half gypsy or something else like europeon. Her sister vula is a little younger than her and she has a better face and body, great ass. Vula and Vivi usually rip people off. They will only date you if they like you. I know a pakistani dude vula dates for 20 bucks. I would not recommend either of them. There bodies are like jello from doing drugs. They aint worth anything, not even free. They look good from outside, but if you feel there body is messed up. Devon is a dry stroll it sucks. The howard/sheridan, clark/howard stroll is the best in rogers park, but mostly black. Vula and vivi will rip you off 99% chance if they don't like u, 1% they might date you if your black, they like black and PR guys.

I understand if you don't want mongers driving through your neighborhood at all hours of the day. Who does? However, I read the posts here assuming that other posters are truthful and trying to help one another out. I feel as though you're trying to discourage people from strolling Devon and not being honest.
Everyone knows the main drags for mongering on the north side. North, Cicero. Nowadays, you can find a few girls working here and there in almost every neighborhood. It's not like the old days on Broadway or on Lincoln where you could find several within a certain stretch. There ARE SW on Devon; not on every corner or every day, and they're not openly selling their goods (which I think is a great thing), but they can be found.
YOU are the one who brought it up by hyping Vivi and Vula. If you don't want people mongering around your house, just let it be. The conversation will eventually drift back to the usual spots. Please don't lie. I expect a certain level of truthfulness from everyone here and right now, you're not bringing it.

I will say I have experienced much more quality on the other main strolls. Rogers area a few years ago had maybe 2 or 3 good ones, but now there are no good ones and what's on the menu are all the same crazy girls night after night.
The hit or miss nature of Devon and the other Roger Park strolls Elvis stated are spot on. To be honest, the total lack of acceptable talent, the experiences with the crazy ones from that area, and the price of gas have driven me to order out on CL mostly. For the price of a room, gas, and the deed, plus the risk, I find it much easier to get with an incall for 15-30min for $ and call it a day. IMHO

You guys are right about the Rogers Park strolls; they're not as hot as they used to be. All I'm saying is you can find reasonable talent on Devon. Not every day, not all the time, but it can be found. SW can be found in almost every neighborhood if you look hard enough. It used to be that I would hit certain stretches of certain streets before I put my hodar on. Now it's on 24/7 because I've found SW in places and areas I never would have thought of mongering in.
The asian apartments have been fantastic for getting FS at a reasonable price. No haggling, no negotiating, decent to good looking girls. However, if all I want is a quick BJ, I want to know where to look for possibilities.

But you have to be careful about LE and there pimps and gangbangers. I know Devon like the back of my hand. Been living here for 15 years. I have nothing to lie about Devon. Anyone else agree with me about Devon being dry? I just hang out with my dunkin donuts buddies on Devon, in the summer time when its warm. You might get lucky and find a SW that came from another area to work the stroll. But thats once in a blue moon and only when the weather is warm. There was a nice WSW last year named melissa. We saw her a couple of times about 3am. Its very few and far between.
Was out and about in the Midway stroll area on Monday afternoon and saw two WSW's working the area two blocks east of Cicero Avenue. The blond was so obvious abd definitely was tweaking out. She could barely walk. The brunette was a definite cutie and I should have jumped all over that but by the time I got around again both of them were gone.
At first I thought possible setup but about an hour later I saw the blond again in the same area being grilled by a blue and white on the side street. I figured at that point it was time to leave the area.

I cannot find the CPD wall of shame site anymore to check for arrests at that location that day.

A friend and I decided to do a little lurking last night since the night at the strip club "pole kats" got a little too expensive. (I know the chance of getting any SW would be slim, two dudes in a car normally scare them off) So we do the Cicero cruise way north to Roosevelt and did not see anything. Decide to call it a night and drive back. On our way home noticed a ok looking possible WSW on 79th west side of street next to the bus stop. Maybe a 5-6 scale I figured at least we seen one, buddy of mine gives her the smile stare and boom she walks over towards the jewel parking lot. I’m thinking hell yeah time to find the hotel. Well I ask her if she wants a ride she says yes and gets in. Asks to go south on Cicero I’m thinking she will take us to a place. So we try to talk to her a little, instead she directs us to her house? She gets out and says thanks for the ride, "I hate taking the bus!" Now we are not hideously ugly, I would say we are average looking but what the hell? Anyway figured I would let everyone know just in case we want to start the lurking taxi service. HA HA.

I was driving south on Archer headed to Target Wednesday about 4pm. Just two blocks west of Ashland on the southside of the street was a WSW wearing sweats and a white t-shirt, she was a brunette, possibly hispanic and about 5'6" 130#. I looked at her and she gave me the look. I was kind of far away and wanted to get a better look. So I go to Target, shop, leave and go back and she's still there. She was doable maybe a 4 on the scale but obviously tweaking out and pacing back and forth at the same spot. I thought at this rate she'd wear a hole in the concrete. I come to a stop sign at Granville by California. A black girl crosses in front of me. As she crosses, she gives me a look. It’s not "THE look", but it’s more than enough to get my attention.
As I said, I’m running late, but I can’t help myself. I have to find out. I go around the block and see her walking in the same direction, not stopping, not lingering. One eye’s on her and the other is scanning for an unmarked. She’s further away, but she sees me and gives me another look. Here we go. I pull around and she’s waiting for me a few feet down the block in between two parked cars. Smart. She gets in and away we go.
The problem is that area is heavily residential and there are several schools nearby. The good part is Uncle Leo’s not much of a concern. I ALWAYS keep an eye out, but it’s not a danger zone like North or Cicero can be. It’s not too far from the time kids start going to school, and I don’t want any passing by while we’re conducting business. I also don’t want to travel too far because of the time situation.
We end up parked in an alley in front of a garage. Andy and Alex pave the way for BBBJCIM. Very nicely done. I drop her off not far from where I first saw her and scramble to get to work.
That experience helped teach me to be on the lookout at all times. I never would have pegged this girl for a SW. She was dressed very casually (top, jeans, sneakers) and wasn’t wearing much makeup. She was a very friendly girl and didn’t look or act like a druggie. I never would have imagined picking up someone where I did. So now the hodar is always on.

She had one of those faces where if you went five years either way, it wouldn't be a shocker. I'll estimate her height at around 5'5", weight around 120. Definitely not fat, thick or carrying extra weight.
I have no idea where she usually hangs out. The first time was so much fun, I got her digits. I called her a couple of times after that. Unfortunately for me, I lost her number when I changed phones. I will say that I've dropped her off at Devon and Artesian on a subsequent rendezvous, so she might live around there. I haven't seen her working around there, though.

Driving northbound around 7 this evening on Cicero and I came across 2 very sexy, possibly WSW. One had a long black dress, the other a tight mini-dress. I remember those good old days, I can go back 27 years, I was just 18 years old, girls were everywhere. The strolls that we talk about today were overly abundant. North, Diversey, Armitidge, Belmont, Lawrence, Broadway, Sheraton, Clark, Division, Western, Damen, Chicago, Addison, Irving.... and that was just the northside. Some streets more prevelant than others, however you could always see an available girl, not always a SW but these Semi-Pro types who normally were more fun.
I have had countless nights at the motels on Lincoln, Apache, Summit, Patio on and on. Lincoln was a stroll also!
These days you gotta be in the right place at the right time, it also has to feel right with all the other BS going on.
Anybody remember 20 plus SW on the North Ave bridge at any given night? I was always afraid to stop for one because of pimps, dirty cops etc... I would always look for one that might appear to be indepedant, it seemed if you had the right one you would have a more relaxed and safer time. That holds true today, however your opportunities have been slashed dramatically.

I have had countless nights at the motels on Lincoln, Apache, Summit, Patio on and on. Lincoln was a stroll also! Lincoln, between Foster and McCormick, used to be absolutely fantastic! It brings back fond memories of the girls I used to pick up in front of the Christian Science reading room. They weren't always out, but when you did find one, it was a guaranteed good time. This was back in the days when a SW had to be attractive, and not just willing. The bar has been severely lowered over the years.
Who can forget Broadway between Montrose and Addison? That's where I lost my SW cherry. Almost exclusively BSW back then, but some were really good looking.
I only liked North between Ashland and Damen; east or west I found the girls to be too trashy. In those days, Uncle Leo was nowhere to be found. Now he might as well open a storefront on North.
My favorite stroll used to be Damen between Belmont and Diversey. I dated some absolute knockouts in that area. Plus they were VERY enthusiastic; some were downright superfreaks.
I gotta stop; it only depresses me when I think about the current state of affairs. SW activity has to be at an all-time low, both in quantity and quality.

I had quit mongering a long long time ago, but something curious just happened. I live in a not-so-good neighborhood, can't tell you exactly where it is (for reasons that will be apparent), but lets just say it was on the fringe of gentrification. That didn't happen, and I've known that kids deal crack north of my block. Now, across the street from them exactly, a bunch of girls started hanging out. One girl is almost always there, and another one comes in and out. They are usually either two, but as many as five at night. They are either white, ethnic white, or latino.
Now, I would've thought they meant business, so I walked over there and one girl said "Hi" and smiled. Now, I am technically neighbors with these girls, so I figured I couldn't make an obvious advance by asking them outright...so I just smiled back, nodded, and gave her an opportunity to start a conversation. Another girl whispered in her ear to tell her I am "Ok" and that I live down the street. I have no idea what that means, because I admit I look a little intimidating (just came back from Iraq). I thought she was worried I was a thug. Actually, it was the thugs dealing crack that got me thinking these girls were working...the thugs are loud and obnoxious, but seem to respect these ladies a whole fucking lot. Actually, they looked the other way the whole time I was there. I nodded and went my way.
So, herein lies my dilemma: if I ask these ladies outright and they turn out to be civilians, I will look like the perv on the street. I can't see them outside my window, nor can I hang out infront of my building without seeming suspicious. In terms of looks, I am not sure if they are dressing slutty on purpose or its how younger people dress these days. Its a reasonable amount of make up for hanging out, I guess.

That was a good place for shrimp, I thought that they were related to to shrimp house on Division.
That reminids me of the days when I had a SW friend named Gerry Bond. Does anybody know of or remember her? Tall, lean great sex. When she was in the mood she would wear you out.
She eventually had a baby and tried for the straight life, last I knew she was living way north off of Sheraton. She was a good girl, she's got to 40 by now.

On Thursday night/Friday early morning I decided to stroll north ave and after a few attempts at seeing nothing I spotted a BSW with a pink reddish top and jeans walking from the gas station past hollywood grill. Lincoln, between Foster and McCormick, used to be absolutely fantastic! It brings back fond memories of the girls I used to pick up in front of the Christian Science reading room. So, herein lies my dilemma: if I ask these ladies outright and they turn out to be civilians, I will look like the perv on the street. I can't see them outside my window, nor can I hang out infront of my building without seeming suspicious. In terms of looks, I am not sure if they are dressing slutty on purpose or its how younger people dress these days. Its a reasonable amount of make up for hanging out, I guess.

I started working on my truck outside as an excuse to check it out. There is an older lady in the house the girls stand in front, and I've seen her give them cigarettes from the window. They seem friendly, but I don't think most of the girls live there. I've seen the girls get picked up a couple of times, but never dropped off. The kids dealing seem to be getting a lot more business, but not once did I see them interact with the girls across the street. They do make noises, however, when a neighborhood girl walks down their way and generally make people uncomfortable. They really wouldn't mess with me, I'm 6'4, military tats, and they've seen me in uniform. The kids are just scrawny teenagers, and as I said, I could be seen as intimidating.

A quick report.
About an hour ago (approx. 10: 30pm), I observed a WSW on the move heading west on Roosevelt between Kilbourn and the viaduct. I don't suspect Leo, since I saw her cover more than a block. (And there was no evidence of anybody. Other than me. Watching her.)

Later!I would NOT try Devon if it's going to be a long drive for you. There isn't always action unlike some places. It would be a waste of a lot of gas ($$$! ) to drive to Devon only to find it empty.
Your best bet given your location is to try Cicero. I've seen action over the years from Addison all the way south to Midway (not simultaneously). Since you say you're picky, I'd start strolling Belmont to Grand. There used to be some nice Polish girls working the area, although it wouldn't surprise me if they were all at MPs now.

So late last night/early morning I took my gf as I always do to her overnite job, along Ashland as I was driving I noticed a HSW around 2am or so on the corner of Ashland/Division in front of the old Pizza Hut, She was wearing blue jean shorts or a miniskirt, a black top, black or dark brown hair and was a little dark complected. I rarely swoop in on first sight; I like to go around the block a couple of times looking for Leo.

A round around the block will tell you if police are around the corner. If she follows you, or changes her location, then most likely than not that she is legit.
Went North Ave all the way to Cicero. Too kto Cicero to irving park nothing at all. Then I went back and headed east on north saw about three or four not worth picking up. They take your picture as you go thru the red light, and then mail you the photo. They Are HUGE moneymakers. The city put them in as an experiment at a dozen intersections a couple of years ago and they made so much money that they are going in everywhere. U cant beat the ticket. Your license and car is right there.

It's pretty conclusive and legal. A friend of mine got caught and tried to argue that he was already in the intersection when the light turned, but had to pay the ticket anyway.

A total of 290 red light cameras and 118 parking ticket cameras will make Chicago, Illinois the automated citation capital.
Chicago, Illinois unveiled a pair of deals it had reached to turn the city into the undisputed automated ticketing capital of the United States. The city had already operated one of the country's larger red light camera programs beginning in November 2003. To date, that program has generated $72 million worth of tickets which has helped to ease the city's substantial budget deficit. The new contract will station cameras at one out of every ten intersections, a goal Mayor Richard M. Daley (D) first set in 2006. The move is designed to generate more than $100 million in annual revenue.
Redflex, the Australian company that operates the program in return for a cut of the profits, said in an announcement to Australian Stock Exchange investors last week that the plan will create the "world's largest automated red light enforcement program."
"We feel that this contract both symbolizes and solidifies the ultimate validation of our number one leadership position in the photo enforcement market," said Karen Finley, chief of US operations for Redflex.
The company has been installing cameras at a furious pace. Last May, Chicago had just 39 automated ticketing machines. In less than a year, the total has grown to 69. Under the new contract, it will be close to 130 by the end of the year on the way to a grand total of 290 cameras. Redflex, which announced a 41 percent increase in net profits over last year, said the city could order even more cameras under the contract terms.
At the same time, Chicago is moving forward on a contract with Affiliated Computer Services to turn the city's 118 street sweeping vehicles into roving parking ticket cameras, similar to programs announced in San Francisco and Washington, DC. On most of Chicago's non-arterial streets, sweeping is implemented on a schedule designed to surprise motorists. Temporary parking restrictions are set on the day before sweeping begins with the only notice given being a piece of paper attached to a pole. If the paper is blown away by a gust of wind and a motorist unknowingly parks in the space, a passing sweeper will take a photograph so that,weeks later, the vehicle's owner will receive a $50 ticket in the mail. Meter maid enforcement of street sweeping restrictions currently generates $17 million worth of tickets annually.
The contract requires technology that will allow motorists to see evidence of their violation online. Using their computer keyboards to enter a city code, license plate number and citation number, drivers will be able to view 12 seconds of video and still photos that officials expect will show the offending vehicles in the intersection with a visible red light.
An early run of the system got the type of attention officials were seeking.
Some 500 violators were given the Web viewing information, and “we received about 325 hits,” said John Bills, traffic camera chief at the city’s Office of Emergency Management and Communications. “Our goal obviously is to try to drive administrative hearings down and payments up.”
Motorists who feel they have been wrongly ticketed can contest their citations before hearing officers.
At $90 a pop, tickets generated by the system have provided a growing source of revenue for cash-strapped city coffers. City Hall expects to score more than $50 million from the devices this year, far outpacing the $19.8 million collected in 2006.
But officials insist the primary reason for the camera installations is to improve safety. Accident data determine the intersections selected for video surveillance, particularly the right-angle type of accident that results when a red light is disobeyed, Bills said.
On average, the number of red-light violations at camera-equipped spots so far has declined 59 percent, he said. At Halsted and 111th Streets, where the devices have been particularly effective, violations have dropped from 105 a day to 10, Bills said. At Ashland Avenue and 71st Street, the decline has been from 44 to about four, at LaSalle and Kinzie Streets, from 39 to four.
Early data indicate a 24 percent decline in accidents, he said.
Critics argue the cameras actually lead to rear-end crashes because motorists jam on the brakes to avoid going through the lights. A 2005 study by the Federal Highway Administration supported that contention, but also concluded that more dangerous side-impact accidents have gone down.
Bolingbrook turned off its cameras last fall after a 40 percent decline in accidents in six months. The cameras, officials said, apparently had done their work. But Mayor Richard Daley has given no indication of a similar move in Chicago, what with the new contract freshly inked and revenue from fines continuing to roll in.
Assuming all the new cameras are installed, 10 percent of Chicago’s 2,900 signalized intersections will be under surveillance. City officials were unable to say if that will be the last wave.
Red-light violations are issued to the vehicle’s owner based on a trace of the license plate, no matter who may be driving.
The Minnesota Supreme Court last year banned red-light cameras, ruling that state law required only the driver to be held responsible. But Chicago’s camera program survived a legal challenge last month when a federal judge ruled that it was lawful to hold owners responsible for what is done with their vehicles.

Started on North Ave/Western heading west to Cicero, then south to I-55. There were a ton of people out during the day and in the evening, but around midnight it was mostly SWs. Saw 4 pretty decent WSWs offering. Fun trip.

Cruised Cicero from Irving Park all the way down to 290 area. Saw one hot bsw and one good looking wsw between Grand and the Coca-Cola plant. Then it started raining and I didn't catch anything else. LE unmarked in the area prominently.

Hmm, North and Rockwell is right in line with the canyon...the Rockwell corridor through there was, and is still, a dangerous stretch.
lots of changes there but it was always one of the most gun/gang/drug happy runs in Chicago...i always avoided it at all costs. 3:00 in the morning in that area and picking up girls is always gonna make you very angry at your pecker.

Looks as though the cops were running a sting. Usually the cops nail newbies that happen to driving home and want to get some action. A few years back I pulled up this one guy and and saw him get busted by a decoy. Makes me sad to see this.

Interesting but old news to most of us who have been around for a while. What was interesting is the cop in the video said they have to have an offer for money for sex which is complete BS. If you stop and say hi and offer a ride they will nail you. It happened to 2 people I know and I have heard many stories here that verify that.
They do tend to work stings in some of the same spots so going to the arrest page can be very helpful in identifying those areas such as the first 2 blocks east of Cicero on 47th, as well as Cicero and 50th st next to Churches Chicken and also a block north.
Also the arrest site will help you identify the days of the week most common for stings. The girls will tell you that it all happens on Tues and Thur which are "vice days". However the site shows it happens every day of the week. However, I did notice a lot less stings on the weekends probably because they need all the cops on the street going after the increased criminal activity you normall see on the weekends.
Remember that you should always pull a half block away and make the girl come to you. Vice won't usually move that far away from their spot due to the close proximity of their backup. Also, if she comes to the driver window you need to bolt. Kepp your windows up and don't say anything until she's in the car. If she gets in the car she is not a cop as they don't want to take that risk of having a female cop get into a strangers car.

This is actually not a new spot but an old spot that dried up several years ago. 10-15 years ago there were girls there regularly but never in great quantity. However, the quality of that area was better than Cicero in general.

Waiting for the SW to walk up half a block is not necessarily a fool proof precaution. In the video the officer stated that the decoy walked up half a block. Your best bet is to park and observe if there is a sting happening then you soon find out.
As to getting busted for pulling over I have my doubts. Although I would like find out if the DA is actually prosecuting for "intent to solicit". If this is happening routinely then you could go down and look up the cases from the web site. My guess is that if you take this to trial the DA will drop the case.

First of all there is the impound and storage fees for your car which run in the neighborhood of $1200. Then there is the bond to get you out of jail. Or maybe you get lucky and get out on an I-bond. Then you have a 4-12 hour gap in your life that you need to explain to your boss, wife, girlfriend, mom, because you just spent that time counting the bolts on your metal bed in your holding cell.
Now you need to take a day off of work to go to court to see if that charge can get dismissed. For some that means a day with no pay. Take your chances and go with out a lawyer or spend the $1000 for a lawyer to walk up to the prosecuter and judge and tell them what a fine upstanding citizen you are, how you were in the wrong place at the wrong time. etc., etc.
Then there is the money to the lawyer to get theis expunged off your record and to get the paperwork back from the CPD, and the state police who also have a copy.

Out of towner here who did check the forum and went sightseeing tonight. Cruised Cicero. I like the flashing blue lights on the cameras gives me a good idea where to turn on the ho-dar. Anyway, just learning the lay of the land so not a particularly good night.
Was cruising south on Cicero just past 290 and see a decent looking blonde walking alone. Very out of place. I went to the next corner and made a right on Roosevelt to go around the block but it was a huge block and by the time I circled no blonde. Then out of the gas station pops a a cute wf brunette. Definitely got my attention but thought with all the attention I'd cruise a bit and see if she'd moved. About 15 mins later I see a LEO special parked with lights on back about a bit toward 290.
Black dude getting hassled and brunette hanging without a care in the world. Kept driving and a few minutes later all were gone. She could have been a SW and been hassled by the dude, but I think think she was with LEO.

The "intent to solicit law" has been successfully challenged in California and other states. So the question is if this precedent can be used from a different state...? If so then what is needed is a good test case. Under the various rulings the cops cannot arrest someone for merely talking to a SW. They also cannot use the law to impound your car as well.
The law has been challenged, but in most cases, they don't care if they get a conviction or not. The harassment and trouble that the pickup causes is what they really want anyway. Your boss or your wife won't care about the "intent to solicit" being overturned.
The video you linked for us confirms what we all suspected (yes--another poster on your board described it as "old news..." but YOU provided the unmistakable evidence.)
While it is bad news that big brother's eyes pry deeper and deeper, the good news is that with that news, we mongers can be more careful about details we post (as we in Cincinnati have practiced for the past year). You confirm that it is for good reason.

These cops aren't interested in eradicating prostitution. Everyone knows that when action is curtailed in one place, it just finds another place to happen. Prostitution will continue until the end of time.
They're not interested in cleaning up the neighborhood. Have you seen the neighborhood? Lower middle class, the last time I was in the area. They're not even interested in driving action out of their district. If the action were to leave, they wouldn't be able to crow about all the arrests they make. In fact, if the action did leave, they'd do all they can to bring all the mongers back by flooding the area with decoys!
If they want to clean up the area, put a squad on the corner of 47th and Cicero and have it circle the blocks nearby every 15 minutes. The presence of a black and white deters actual SW from working the area and also deters mongers from cruising it.
However, that poses a problem for the cops. They wouldn't be able to take naps. They wouldn't be able to chow down at the nearest taqueria or get coffee and donuts at DD or 7-Eleven. They wouldn't be able to hassle known SW and pull over somewhere for a freebie. They'd have to do a little actual WORK every day. You know THAT'S not gonna happen!
In California the cops have stopped using the law after the CA supreme court ruled against them. But are cops still using the law in Illinois..? Perhaps it might be a good idea to carry a copy of the decision and show it to the cops if they try and arrest you. If they persist in arresting you inform them that you sue them and the dept for false arrest. Calling a attorney might help you.

Hey there gentlemen so this morning around 7am, after returning from a run at North Ave beach in the early morning I was driving down Western close to North Ave. and saw this lady who was walking very slowly she had a grey baseball cap on a white button up shirt and jeans but let me tell you she had an amazing ass. I was out and about yesterday (I live on 44th near Damen) and decided to roll down 51st between Ashland and Damen.
As most of us Chi-town mongers know, it's always got something going on.
