I was wondering if there are many AMPs in Southern California open past 10 p.m.?

Also how late do the apartment parlors stay open?

Up in Santa Barbara they all close at 9:30 or 10:00 p.m.

Imagine the business they would do if they stayed open until midnight or 2 a.m.

Say one strikes out hunting at the bars and clubs, one could still end the night with a bang.

Also there's virtually no SW action up here, only tvs (no thanks.)

Back in the Good Ol' Days there were some that stayed open 24/7 But now - BY LAW - they must close by 10:00pm.

I sure do miss the Good Ol' Days.

I wish they were too. But could you imagine the belligerent drunks they would have to deal with??! I'll bet it's just not worth the hassle at all. *ding-dong* "I need some puuuzzzy"!

JurassicThere's an AMP in Santa Monica that's often open until midnight. it's on Lincoln near Pico.

I don't remember the name, but it's next to the doggie dunk store.

But it's a "please yourself" procedure there. no FS of any kind.

I could have sworn I went to the place on Modoc (S.B. at five points) after 10p.m.

There is a place in Santa Monica which is open until at least 1am and does full-service. It is Korean and has been there since the 1980s (my father turned me on to it -- for what that is worth). Unfortunately I only know how to get there visually, I don't actually know the name of the routes. I will try to figure that out and post directions, since I appreciate I have otherwise provided totally useless information.

But if anyone knows it, it is kind of a speak-easy set up. No signage of any kind or sense there is a business there, but it is not a fly-by-night AAMP and the women there have been in the area forever (Mamasan owns a couple of liquor stores in L.A., which she uses to wash the cash from the AMP -- we had a long talk about this during the L.A. riots in 1992, which hit her pretty bad). So I suspect she is not adhering to the "10pm law" whatever that is.

I would also suggest looking in the Yellow Pages and you'll find AMPs open late, unless this 10pm law applies.

There's a new one at the Crystal Park Hotel or near it that is open 24 hours, according to the add in The Daily Breeze.

I don't know what's up with that place, so YMMV.

It's probably mostly legit, but with a little touch and feel in the mix.

Perhaps there's more, but you can figure out WTF is up if you've got enough experience and TOFTT.

Guys, let's be careful about ID'ing establishments that may be open past the legal closing time. That's how some places got closed down in Inglewood & Santa Monica. With the high level of LE heat, don't give any more info that would give more reason to shut down the few remaining places.

Agree about attention to any remaining amps, but those places in Inglewood got shut down by the fed's after hours or board postings had nothing to do with it.

I am sure the bleeding heart mongers that have serious sexual issues or mental problems that decide these poor girls need saving have more blame to share, due to the fact that tips to LE about these places help get them shut down. Now the sweet little Asian girl is most likely back in her country she tried so hard to leave and she's left with a big stigma attached to her, Good Job.

Do you seriously think that LE doesn't know of this place? LE officials of course pore over the various ads, including LA WEEKLY, LA XPRESS, Daily Breeze, etc.

If you read some of the articles surrounding busts, you'd know that they're on to Craig's list and "other internet sites" which includes this one.

This is on top of the fact that it's attached or near a gambling establishment. Do you think the feds ignore that? All sorts of feds are crawling over the various casinos on a regular basis.

They probably got an (legal or illegal) exemption of some sort, or else they couldn't even open with an announcement. If they didn't get an exemption, that location's time was limited, regardless.

It's the places that don't advertise in the papers and internet that LE needs to "work" to find.

I've found more than my share of places and you can rest assured that no-one ever hears about them on this board save for one other poster I let know via PM. Hell, I've only ever read ONE report or question about in the few years (however long it's been) that I've been posting here.

Here, let's do a little run down. For those that pay attention, you can find out what sorts of establishments offer extras merely by reading old articles on busts.

Aromatherapy, "accupuncture", "herbs", tanning salons, accupressure/chiropractic/massage places, some beauty salons that offer massage, outright mini-brothels in apartments/condos/houses.

Do you really believe that LE doesn't know about those? Given that they've made arrests at all such locations in those articles?

Right now LE focus is slightly elsewhere. Federal LE is dealing with other things, but they may be back depending upon who wins the next election. As long as Bratton is here with his ArcGIS based ComStat, he'll be going after the low hanging fruit of LE to get easy arrests to boost the statistics.

This means real crime (violent felonies, grand theft, car theft, etc) gets under reported and under investigated. Ironically, overall crime rates go down as the economy does better. In other words, the War in Iraq caused huge spending in the Defense and Aerospace industry. A lot of Defense and Aerospace industry work is in L.A. That helped push the local economy to higher heights for a time, even as the rest of the economy was cooling off.

AMP busts are also money grabs, if done under RICO or other similar statutes. That gives ailing departments a bit of cash to tide them over. This is just a legal form of payoff to the entire department. The less legal forms come either as money and/or as sexual favors and possibly drugs. AMP busts are easier to investigate. There's a static location, whereas car theft and violent crime means LE must move around and investigate the old fashioned way.

It's like all the bogus reports that Korean women were "forced" into the career. BS. (The Chinese and Thai and Vietnamese women are a different story. Lots of pseudo slavery there) They choose that route to pay off their debts. However they came up with the debt is up to them. Korean gangsters are businessmen first and gangsters second. What kind of money did you think rebuilt downtown L.A. before all the white investors came in? What kind of money do you think is building up Garden Grove and Buena Park?

What kind of money do you think all the L.A. mayoral challengers were after when they hit the Korean voter circuit?

A big stigma without the money to make up for it. At least if she had the cash to be a business owner, she'd be set financially.

Here's a few tips for everyone. LAPD, FBI, etc have been heavily recruiting in the asian community. That also means Koreans. That also means that the next time you get some hot little asian number in a sting setup, she may pull off the act pretty well but you may be getting a cop, including speaking in the foreign language bit.

Smart move is that you recon any location that you're going to visit. Do a drive by and check for suspicious vehicles before you pull in. Check the messageboards on various sites for information before you roll out. If it looks bad, call it a day and move on to another location or defer.

If you are so bad off in your addiction that you can't let safety rule over it temporarily, you'd better get some help.

The same goes for picking up a streetwalker. Cruise through the area in one direction before reversing. Don't break any traffic laws. Check out the location and don't linger, even if you don't see a cop. They may have set up surveillance cameras to grab license plates. Don't drive in the lane closest the curb during your initial recon. That's one way for them to know WTF you're doing because you're driving 5mph in the lane next to the curb.

If you do get pulled over sans company, then you should already have an excuse ready. Engage the officer in conversation. Ask them for directions to the freeway or whatnot. Have a story ready : birthday party, shopping, on the way to a date, got lost, trying to get to a strip joint, trying to get to your friend's bachelor party at such and such hotel or just driving around. Be sure that the place you're trying to get to is a reasonable approach from where you are going to be cruising.

Yes, this is a bit of work, but preparation can go a long way in keeping you safe.

This is also why I advocate people keeping up on their vaccinations. You don't want to catch something that you could have prevented catching by getting a few shots. As soon as the HPV vaccine is approved for adult males, get it. You don't want to get something and bring it home to a possible S.O. and have to explain WTF she got it from. HPV can't be prevented via condom, since it can be transmitted through any part of the skin and not just genital contact.

Bruce,

Thanks for the intel, yeah? About the Crystal Place, it's on the second floor. And yes, the lady who answered the phone told me it's open 24 hours a day. I'm not interested in going to a casino for a rub. I'd lose my money on the way up to the 2nd floor. Props on the vaccinations. Most of last year was spent taking meds for a couple of nasty respiratory infections I caught from a random BSW or maybe from more than one: tuberculosis and pnuemonia. Since I was not reporting actively, I don't even remember who it was who gave it to me. Just FYI: learn from others mistakes. Quick note: if the damn girl is coughing like a six-pack a day smoker, more than likely, she's got some respiratory disease. Yeah, it's hard to think with the upper brain, but you better try. And don't think I haven't broken this rule either. Cuz I admit I have. That's my Public Service Announcement for the day. I'm off to the hunt. Take care. See ya on the other side.

Peace

Agree with your observation, once HPV vac is approved for men, I will be the first to pay with my $ and get it. In the mean time, try your best by wearing your underware when you fuck that *****, this way you do not have any exposure to her skin and you will not catch anything from her and explained to your significant other.

If it's in the casino itself, then that explains why it can be open 24 hours. Maybe they get the same kind of zoning exemption that the casino does for being operated on "tribal lands" or however they get around the anti-gambling rules for casinos.

If it had body scrub offered, I'd probably give it a shot.

There's only one other place I can think of that is 24 hours, and that's in Alhambra, I think. That place is totally legit probably, unless you pay for the annual membership (more than $1000, last I checked).
