The associated drug thing can happen anywhere admittedly.
Likewise, I'm super cautious about "the city downtown area" depending on the streets. For me, I've concluded this aggravation isn't worth the effort. I get too anxious and I suspect a provider or two might read this, laugh, and say, "I think I know this guy." (they might be right, too haha).
That's just me, for now. Other than a very very very few people (see my reviews if anyone cares), I think the risk vs reward isn't worth it until things change at higher levels in all areas. I think officials in stc are ridiculously concerned with the wrong things. I think the same of ridiculous city officials sorry to say. Anything around md hts (in all directions nearby md hts) I will always avoid. I'm concerned about LE having misplaced priorities or directives in one large area and lack of LE in other areas. This is just me.. all it takes is one example from LE. one crime incident.. or one camera somewhere maybe … so I believe I have to be super cautious.. caution and fun are two conflicting priorities without a perfect balance for me. I can again imagine a provider or two reading this and laughing at recognizing the poster here. Its pretty much why Im disconnected from the scene nowadays, presently for now.

I'm a heavy dude with a short stack and they have never done me wrong yet (though that's only after 2 visits so.).
At Tokyo the matriarch comes and greets you and directs you to the room you will use, if she asks if you've been there before make sure to mention as much. Try to have a personality "quirk" to set you apart (on a side note, develop an alias, as far as the ladies there know, I'm a dude named Mark who lives in Columbia and works in shipping, never tell them your real name or info, been using this fake name for all my sultry hobbies).
I've had good luck by being clothed and sitting on the table when my lady comes in (jacket and accessories hanging on the hook), she will ask what you want (typically giggling) I always use body actions to tell what I want instead of words so there's no vocalization of a crime (not really an issue, but an additional safeguard, can't have the Law "overhear" you say "fuck me" when you just do thrusting motions when talking to your lady).
After she takes your money get naked and lay on the table, for me the lady comes back and takes off her clothes before she starts. Once she starts tickling you make sure you let her know you like it when she dances around your inner thigh area, mainly fake a moan or twitch when they glide around there, let her know you like that zone. If she did strip gently touch her outer thigh or tummy, that should seal the deal that she knows you really mean business.

When you look at Eden, lilia and many many many others. They all either once worked together or for groups. I think they each finally realized, "hey, I can do this myself, control things better, on my own terms, choose my location / even change it at will, and have less grief. " With AMPs, there are sometimes language barriers and perhaps more loyalties behind the scenes to owners or situations (visiting USA etc temporarily etc).

It is legit only now due to the attention its been getting, a year ago had news coverage now legit, the providers have signs in rooms. If any reason can deny service and they will also tell you they will call police if issue so I would simply stay away from peaceful. There are so many other options, Peaceful is now Peaceful so poetic.

I'd not want to visit late (say 8 pm or later) after dark, but during the day should be ok.
Bottom line, when I want AMP, I plan to go there. I've not decided if I will try them all or not, likely will.

It was totally a different vibe. I remembered it as crowded, well maintained, normal dudes coming in, etc. I went to the club I remembered the best, and parking lot was empty. I got on this site to kinda get some advice on what to do, and some guy came up to my window all, "Whatcha doing here?" He wasn't threatening or anything, but seemed actually questioning what I was doing there. I just said I was chilling and figuring out what I was doing that night. And he (again, surprisingly politely) asked me to leave. So I went to the next place and some dude told me I needed $20 to park. Maybe that was legit, maybe not. But again, totally different than what I remember.
Conclusion, the few people who were there (at like 10 pm) were running a hustle that was probably only helping themselves, not the businesses or the local economy. And nobody cares. That's why shit there is so rapidly going downhill.

I remember a while back there was a post about a younger chick, maybe late 20's / early 30's, single mother (maybe of 2), brunette, chill.
