The look is the best sign, though you don't always get one. Another tell tale sign is with the lady in green. You can't tell if you're getting the look, but the water bottle also seems to be one of those signals she is most likely working. I've used this one in the past. I was in Tucson for a prolonged stay in the mid 90's. One area of town was getting a lot of SW activity and the residents were getting tired of it.

Thanks for the street shot recon. You appear to do it particularly well. It is especially good when the photos can subsequently be identified. I have done it a few times but my camera isn't really made for it and the images come out dark and/or blurry. Plus, I can't figure out for the life of me how to drive with one hand, discreetly take a photo with the other hand, and avoid taking out some asshole pedestrian that decides to cross directly in front of me. I guess the only answers to this are to have the right equipment (Do you use a telephoto lens? What kind of camera and lens(es) do you use?), place myself in the right not-while-driving positions to take the shots, and at the right locations (Any advice here?).
When I did the only street photo recon that I attempted in here, a pimp (bf?) was in my face at the window demanding to know why I was taking pictures, and I was so obvious that a few of the SWs covered their faces. A good surveillance photographer I do not claim to be. But I would like to dabble in it if I could get the basics down.

Having said that I am somewhat of a hypocrite because I have done car dates within sight of residences. It wasn't right outside someone's house, but it is difficult sometimes to find a spot near the K that would be completely isolated from any residences whatsoever.
I don't prefer car dates. That isn't because I have a policy not to park in people's neighborhoods, because that would be somewhat difficult to avoid completely in a place like Philly, and I understand the annoyance we car date mongers present to residents near the K. I prefer the overwhelmingly greater comfort and relaxation of an indoor date. But when I do decide to do a car date, I try to be as far from residences as possible (for a lot of reasons and not just respecting their neighborhoods); I would definitely stay away from places where kids were (or adults for that matter), and I don't throw my used condoms out on the street for some kid to find. I keep a trash bag in the car for that. We may have an illegal and, to some, a disgusting hobby, but there are considerate limits to everything.

Thanks for the street shot recon. You appear to do it particularly well. It is especially good when the photos can subsequently be identified. I have done it a few times but my camera isn't really made for it and the images come out dark and/or blurry. Plus, I can't figure out for the life of me how to drive with one hand, discreetly take a photo with the other hand, and avoid taking out some asshole pedestrian that decides to cross directly in front of me. I guess the only answers to this are to have the right equipment (Do you use a telephoto lens? What kind of camera and lens(es) do you use?), place myself in the right not-while-driving positions to take the shots, and at the right locations (Any advice here?).
When I did the only street photo recon that I attempted in here, a pimp (bf?) was in my face at the window demanding to know why I was taking pictures, and I was so obvious that a few of the SWs covered their faces. A good surveillance photographer I do not claim to be. But I would like to dabble in it if I could get the basics down.
I posted my gear in the Photography section a few days ago because of the number of times I get asked. I think it is more about locacations, timing and thinking through your goal than gear.
1)Focus on target and zoom in as much as possible.
2)Shoot with the largest picture setting that you can. This will hopefully allow you to crop out much of the picture and still have a good shot.
3)Adjust F stop or whatever settings you have to account for lighting level.
4)Increase shutter speed or shoot on action setting. A shutter speed of about 2-4 times the focal length should give you a pretty steady shoot on a walking target.
One really easy way to get a good shot is to park on a side street and let a moving target walk right in front of your car. they probably will not be looking at you.

One of the rules of this forum is not to make negative comments about a monger's choice to use or not use a raincoat. Moreover, we would be pretty hypocritical to have encounters with high risk SWs who use needles, etc., and then condemn another for his choice of protection (even if nothing) against any number STDs, the most serious of which are lifelong and/or deadly. A reasonably intelligent person knows the risks and the precautions to take and makes his choices accordingly. As for me, I choose to take what I consider to be acceptable risks and I certainly have no death wish nor desire to catch anything, which I have been fortunate enough never to experience.
When I heard from various "Deep Throat" SW informants that the incidence of requesting BBFS was in the 60-70% range I will admit that I was quite surprised. There would seem to me something amiss that this would be the case. I am not sure what it says about sex education in our public schools and elsewhere, the availability of STD information or perhaps just the recklessness of many who think they are indestructible, or just don't care about the possible consequences. But apparently it is a fact and not just speculation, whatever the reasons. Fortunately the better providers don't engage in such risky behavior, even though asked frequently, (or at least they say they don't, and say so quite emphatically). While I can't help what another monger decides not to do for his own protection, I still have a concern over his bad behavior posing a further risk to me. It is in that vein that I do not condemn him but sincerely wish he would wise up.

Sorry...... such reckless behavior is just plain stupid. If your "deepthroat" source is correct. Then the stroll is much more dangerous than I ever imagined. The number one reason why a monger may not care to use protection is becuase he has nothing to loose(he already has a disease).

About me: I am from out of state and want to thank everyone on this board for their information.
I can whole heartily state that this board manages to change the attitude of the SW's, When I mention to any girl that I read this board they improve there service dramatically (except kelly).

So maybe I did manage to scare them off. NOTE TO OTHERS: I was joking about the dungeon and dragons stuff preparing me...my attempt to poke fun at myself.

I don't think a person with as many posts as you should be dismissed when making what some might think is an inflammatory post. However, I probably went to the Patio motel at least 200 times over the years before it was shut down, and never experienced any repercussions.
You have certainly given all of us something to think about, if nothing else. It's not just the motels like the Carlyle, but how about all those "10 dollar spots" that people use in a pinch?

This is Lisa. I only had a few hours in town and had planned on seeing someone else. I always have to take a tour of the Ave to see who is out there. Cabbies are a wealth of information.
When I went to Las Vegas a few years back, I was out on the main street ("The Strip") at different times of day and didn't spot any SWs despite my well honed ho-dar. Then I took a cab and started to talk to the driver and "casually" said I'd heard there were lots of working girls in LV but didn't see anything. Then he told me I didn't know what to look for. First, Thanks for the suggestions. The taxi is for better hunting (like hiring a guide). I had no intentions of having taxi dates, planned on going back to my decoy room. It's easy. From I-95 get on Allegheny and then take a right on Kensington. Look on both sides of the street. Stop at the 7-11 a few blocks on the right, get a drink and hang out for a few minutes. Sometimes there are SWs in the parking lot or in the immediate area. Get back on Kensington and continue up to Torresdale, take a right and stop at the Dunkin Donuts. You might see some guys parked in their cars waiting. They're probably looking for the same thing you are. Go look in the parking lot behind Mcdonald's and Taco Bell. You can continue taking Kensington up another few blocks, maybe up to Frankford. I haven't spent any time North of there, so I don't know what you might find past there.
So turn around and double back on Kensington going southbound, looking carefully near Castor, looping around the park at Tioga, and cruise slowly by the 7-11 to check for any new faces. Continue past Allegheny. I've not had luck in the first few blocks southbound past Allegheny, which in the daytime are pretty busy with many people. But after that area, keep an eye out. Continue on Kensington, then make a left onto Front. I usually make a U turn after the Berks metro station, although I think people have reported success south of there.
If you make the loop I've just described, I think you'll find at least a few SWs no matter what time of day or weather. If you're lucky and hit it at a good time you'll never have to make the whole loop.
If you'll have a rental car, make sure it has a Pennsylvania license plate. This will help you to blend in.
Be careful about making left turns. Many intersections along Kensington have signs posted that do not allow left turns. I was pulled over and ticketed for violating one of these. Luckily the fine police officer that issued that ticket one winter night at 2:30 AM did not smell my breath or inquire if I had been drinking. I didn't even have to shut my engine off, he did everything through the one inch space that I had lowered my window. Must have been filling a quota!
Sometimes you'll see SWs on Frankford or the streets connecting Frankford and Kensington. I've found it easier to locate the SWs on Kensington, give them a nod, then try to pickup on a side street.
Don't hesitate to park and observe an area for 15 or 20 minutes, it's much easier to notice people when you're not also driving! You can park pretty much anywhere on Kensington. When I'm parked, SWs will often give me "the look" as they're walking by, making a pickup very easy.

I believe the lack of large numbers of SW may be due to the colder weather. I spent from 8 am to 9 pm Friday on the ave. Looked like most of the girls were between Tioga and Erie. Saw a lot of new faces and a bunch I recognized, Nay, Lauren, Michelle, and one that looked like Gina. Also in the afternoon I talked to and passed on dates with Blond Katie and Ashley due to already having plans to see "Hotter Nicole". Waited 4 hours only to be stood up by her. By this time It was dark and very little avail. There was one nice looking girl on Pike wearing black stockings and heels who was very busy. 3 times I saw her and every time, someone beat me to her. One guy couldn't even bother to pull over but stopped in the center of the intersection. Ended up going to bed dateless and depressed.
Fear not boys. There is a happy ending. To this story. Back to the ave, Saturday 8 am. Hanging around the Tioga park. Wasn't expecting to see much but was looking for the girl in the white hoody that I saw the day before around in that area, at about the same time. Was not looking for a date. Just wanted to see if it was who I thought it might be. She looked like the Gina who I posted pics of. Another unattractive girl went by. Don't think she was a SW but lived near the ave. She told me there was nothing to be on Kensington that early for, LOL. Lucky for me she was wrong. To my surprise and excitement, Angie walks by looking good wearing black boots. We had lost touch and I have not seen her in a while. So off to Jersey, to get a hotel for a nice 3 hour date. I left happy and satisfied for the day. Dropped her off near Sommerset. But wait, it's not over yet. The day is still sunny and I have a little more cash burning a whole in my pocket. Back to Jersey I went in search of Casey. Spent a few hours with no luck. Around sundown, got a call from Nicole. She explained that she had drama with her driver the day before and wanted to make it up to me. I had my doubts but she came though. Back to my hotel in Jersey one more time for an all nighter GFE. Very nice, starting with a shower together. Won't go into to much detail but here is a taste. While I had 2 in the pink and one in the stink, she was giving me the best deep throat I have ever had.
She can be found in front of Churches Chicken. Look for a slim, blond in brown, high heel boots.
Saturday's successes more than made up for Friday's failure. Neither wants pics or numbers shared. I'm working on that.
All day Friday and Saturday, I never saw Elissa. Then spotted her last night. As I was done dating for the weekend, I just got her some meds as she was really sick, took her Mc Donalds, and dropped her back on the ave.
Even though things are a bit dryer due to winter, there is still a lot of quality out there. You just need to put in the time to find it.

The two things that we all seem to agree on is that Heather is an excellent date and she can talk. Personally, I enjoyed the conversation. I totally prefer Heather's pleasant verbiage to some of the ghetto ramblings and trash mouth often portrayed as conversational speech these days.

When I saw her walking to my car in this tight, white dress, my eyes bulged out of my head. I am a little embarrassed to post these pics because I suck with a camera. They just do no do her justice. I wish CookieJar was there just for the shoot so you could see just how incredibly hot she was. On the elevator ride up to my room, I really had a hard time keeping my hands off her.
After our photo session, we showered together and hit the sheets.
BBBJSP, deep throat, all the usual positions. No kissing or greek, but other than that, an all around excellent date.
