Went to Emerald Day Spa per Stupitt (well-respected member in some old boards), but the parking situation is not ideal. Parking on the street needs to go through Apps, . Blah blah blah. Did not want to go through all of the paper trail. So, abandon the plan.
While driving back North, decided to stop by ASpa to check out Annie. She looks relatively young (younger than Amy). Probably mid-30's. She gave very good massage. I agree with you. I also always schedule an hour minimum as well, no matter if it's a FS or HJ only AMP. From your posts, I think you and I tip more than what many consider as "standard tipping" and the services I receive are never lesson because the girls know I will tip them well. I left a review on April 4th. Check it out.Depends on what part of town you want to travel to.
Now I have heard but have yet to try, a couple places on Grand in PB. Water Spa but that review was some time ago, it's tucked back in that row of shops behind the Discount Tire as you turn onto Grand from EMB. A short drive further, there is the Spa above the body shop, don't know the name. Then a little further down the road was Genesis Spa, that might be their old name. Like I said, I haven't trued them myself, but I do recall Genesis and the one above the body shop having Latina talent and an open menu.
There are quite a few other Spas in that area with various menus, some I have not seen reviews on so you may have to TOFTT.

In my experience, the tip is up to the gal, regardless of the spa. The V rotates so many gals, experiences and tip can vary a lot, but most of he gals there provide satisfactory or above service for the so called standard. Did you do a half hour or full hour? I don't think "Flirty" is a bad think at V or spas known primary for their FS menu. I want the girls to be sexually playful at these places, the massage is secondary for me. I don't go to V or these spas if my primary goal is to get a great massage. I go to the $40/ hour AMPs if my primary goal is to get a decent massage. This is a question that I've thought about before. What's the real difference, between going to an independent and an established parlor.
For me It really comes down to personal preferences.
I personally enjoy just being able to walk in to a actual place of business, not somebody's condo or hotel room. I just like the flexibility to walk in more or less whenever I want without having to pre-plan appointments.
Probably some of my biggest disappointments as well as being outright ripped offs came from visiting independence at hotel rooms, so I've had more negative experiences going this route and I'm sure that past negative experiences influences my preference.
Before leaving San Diego I didn't realize how good The established massage parlor scene was, up here in San Jose there's a lot outcall or non-conventional locations, like beauty parlors, working women just working out of their homes. I even ran into a industrial park office where they're just renting it for a month before they move on.
In San Diego the independents that I visited wasn't really offering good massage just a perfunctory rubbing before getting onto the dirty deed.
