First of all, one must complete a fairly rigorous course of studies to become a Licensed Massage Therapist. I know because I've looked into it. To convince yourself of this, you need only go to a reputable massage school and ask about their program.

Second, while a massage business may charge around $60 or more for an hour massage, the therapist will usually get less than half of that. The split is even worse at high-end spas, with the client paying much more, and the therapist making less.

My therapist gets $25 of the $60 I pay. I also leave a $10 tip. I've gone in to see her in pain, and left pain-free. I think that's worth something. I don't think a moron could do that for me.

It's not private at all. I've been there, and it's kind of different because they have 6 or 7 recliners all lined up. When I was having my session, I heard 3 women come in and say they had an appointment and were set up right next to me. I then heard a couple enter and they were told to wait. Once I got over the company, it was extremely relaxing. My masseuse was the Mom (I guess) and the guy asked me if it was okay if she did it before she began. I am a long time member but have been semi-retired for several years now. I go back to the days of Washington Spa in Escondido, Royal Palace in San Diego and most recently Sundance in Escondido. Those were the days. Of course Escondido still has some great AMP's.
I visited a Foot Massage place in San Marcos. It's relatively new and right off the 78 and Rancho Santa Fe exit in the same center as the Asian Buffet...just north of 78.
My visit was non sexual. They are running a $20 special for one hour. What a great foot massage and more. They start with a nice neck and back massage as your feet are soaking. That lasted 15-20 minutes. Then a great foot and calf massage followed by an additional back massage. My gal didn't speak any English but the female mamasan did and she was very concerned that I was happy.
The special ends in September and is well worth it. Not sure whether happy endings will be added in the future, but for now it is strictly a nice massage that is well worth $20 and a tip.

I'm a fool for passing this along because the place I go to is getting crowded. I was there Sat eve and they had 7 massages going on. You have to realize that there is no privacy with these places, you are out in a large open room, albeit a darkened room, with rows of recliner type chairs. Classic YMMV -- notwithstanding the bad things formerly written about Naomi, I go there often and my experiences have always been good. Candy (HJ only), Mikki (very tight) and Lena all are good. I'm new in San Diego, and this was my first venture beyond the AMPs. I really didn't know what to expect, and I was fantastically surprised.

For starters, the massage agency was nothing short of top-notch professional. Easy time contacting and setting up an appointment, with directions and such e-mailed to me as soon as I hung up. This from todays CL therapeutic listing. Actually, I have noticed an increase in "sensual" listings in the therapeutic section, but only slight and by observation. I certainly don't any statistical data. However, it seems enough to get the alarm up on some "non-sensual" practitioners. It is my opinion that this gal is over-stating things a bit. I suspect business is off for everyone.

On a similar note, I have noticed that AMPs in Vista and Temecula are advertising heavily. The Vista spots are advertising a $49 entry fee. Not that these places held much of our business, but I can see this putting pressure on other places in the region. We can only hope.

I've been on a self-imposed break from mongering the last 6 months since my finances were low, but the Vista AMPs have been lowering their prices like crazy lately, so I thought I could try scoring a half hour massage plus HJ for just $80.

Well I haven't read any reports on this place but they've been promoting themselves pretty heavily in Craigslist lately and I heard its sister site on East Vista way provided extras, so I thought my chances for a HJ were pretty good. The downside though is that I was in a rush getting out the door so I wasn't able to fully prep (ie. I didn't have any of the girl's names on hand).

Anyway, I parked to the side in a nearby outlet because I didn't want my car sitting directly in front of a seedy looking AMP for a half hour. I was met at the door by a girl named, Lisa. She was very petite and thin, but a bit old, I think she's at least in her 40s. It's hard to tell though with everything so dim. She led me to the room and took the door fee.

This room was absolutely the worst room I've ever been in at an AMP. The walls were solid cement and the room had the ambience of a prison cell. It really felt seedy. She came in and started a so-so massage with light teasing but I could tell she wasn't quite comfortable with me initially. I hadn't been there before and me not being able to name any names didn't help either. I mentioned I had been to the East Vista way location (which was a lie) and answered some of her other qustions satisfactorily, so she continued to tease somewhat.

I make a point to rarely discuss or negotiate $ for particular acts. I usually leave the tip on a side table at the beginning and just do non-verbal signals. If you can mention a reference too this is usually more than enough to get extras and the girls usually like it this way too. The less said the better.

But this girl seemed confused. I noticed she was massaging the same parts repeatedly and our time went over, but she wouldn't give me a HE! I threw the towel off, she would leave it off for a few minutes, then put it back on. I rubbed her legs but that wasn't leading anywhere. Finally I said screw it, this is taking too long, I grabed her hand and placed it on my package and made the hand gesture, and she finally began doing the deed.

After all of that, it was one of the lamest HJs I've ever had. She didn't seem into it at all. She only let me touch on the outside of her clothing, so I got the pleaure of enjoying a heavily paded bra. On the release, she stopped on the first burst and instead of following through thru the whole completion. Very anti-climatic. It would have been better staying home and rubbing one out while feeling up a pillow.

Even though this is a seedy AMP, I'm guessing they only offer HJs and possibly CBJs. What's a shame is that you'd think since HJs are their main thing, they'd at least be good at it!

I know this is a long post for what amounted to a lame HJ by a below average provider. But it's been awhile since I've mongered and I was hoping to report a good place in Vista for cheap HJs. But unless someone reports differently, avoid this place. Just pay the $50 entry fee at a Kgirl AMP and get far better service.

JoeMr. Coolidge, I have visited Jae Hee several times. All the broads there are 50 years old. Some are better than others. And the joint is pricey also, 100 bucks for an hour massage with table shower. It is very clean, looks upscale, but in terms of hot action it is not close to other places in Escondido. You would be best to pass on this place.

I stopped by Holistic Clinic in Oceanside a few days ago. From what I've heard this place is a mixed bag. They have some young women and some very old women, but usually extras of some sort are on the menu.

It was my first time at this AMP, but I had been to the nearby AMP that had closed earlier this year. The Mama-san asked me a trick question, which I answered correctly, so I gained her trust.

I ended with a woman named, Tina which I actually had already seen before at the old AMP. Unfortunately, she's rather old and completely flat chested. But she has a nice attitude and excellent HJ skills. More was on the menu, but she didn't really do it for me so I opted just for the HJ. But again, nice woman. $.4 tip and she was happy with it.

If this place could get a few more younger women, I would make this a regular place. Still, it's probably one of the better AMPs in the Oside/Vista area in terms of extras (I know that's not saying much). I'm going to give this place another visit or two. If anyone has any girls they recommend at this AMP, PM me.

The best thing to do as a first-timer is to read the forum. There are good AMPs in Escondido, El Cajon, and Kearny Mesa. Get a copy of the Reader and look for ads towards the back in the classified. Write down their names and do a search on this forum.

Many of us have posted who we saw and how it was so get a notebook and start writing it down. However, providers change (and they change their names too). The thrill sometimes is to get someone new and see how far you can go. This is called "paying your dues" or "taking one for the team."

Once you visit a few places and write about your experiences, you can get some forum "credibility" and we can then be more open to sharing our AMP secrets with you.

A small first report.

Went twice to the more discrete no name in Vista. In my first experience, I broke all the rules of AMP etiquette with one of the known providers discussed on this site and she got this incredibly puzzled look on her face and didn't know what to think. Went back and did better after RTFF with had much better results with a new gal from LA.

What was somewhat disturbing is that the gal didn't change any of the towels after my massage and just straightened the room up a bit. I would definitely recommend asking for a new towel if you go before laying down.

Yes, we're being invaded by the Chinese (but that's a good thing). The Chinese foot massage places are sprouting up like weeds. The negative thing is that they are strictly legit, but the good thing is that they are super cheap. The foot massage is in actuality a body massage in addition to the foot massage, albeit done while clothed and someone lying next to you. They are done on an oversized type recliner. You get a really good massage for the money. They run in price from $25/hour to $55/hour. I usally tip $10 but more if the massage is really good and they tease the boys a bit.

These places are all Chinese and few of them speak English. I probably speak more Chinese then they do English. Even after being here 2-4 years most cannot carry on even a rudimentary conversation. But, hey, I'm not there to grade their English papers.

One caveat, they all have both female and males doing massage. You have to let them know you want a female. Last night I went to a place and I repeatedly told the guy that I wanted a female masseuse (in Chinese) and he understood what I was saying. He still tried to give me the massage. I finally told him sternly, in Chinese, that I didn't like that and he backed away finally.

Dress lightly. I wear shorts and a polo shirt. They will even raise your shirt while giving you a back massage so the only part of your body that is covered are your particulars. Again, there is no privacy although the room is usually dark and there may be 3-6 others getting massage. Overall, I like these very much and I think it will ultimately result in the other masseuses to bring their prices down.

Further, some of the foot massage places also do traditional massages at a greatly reduced rate, and again, the massages are quite good but strickly legit. The current wave of immigration from Asia is a good thing for us in many ways with food and massage just being a small part.


Further, some of the foot massage places also do traditional massages at a greatly reduced rate, and again, the massages are quite good but strickly legit. Lastly, there have been numerous Chinese traditonal massage places that have opened up in north county that are strictly legit but charge less than $50/hour for a very good massage. Hope this in helpful.That is what I was thinking. It could be that a few extras are available from time to time but not on a consistent basis. I was looking more at the FBM option that they seem to offer rather than the foot massage, but it is something to consider.

The economy and growth in the number of businesses should be downward pressure on price. For example, I also saw a sign out for $40 hour massage on Convoy at an Acupressure joint. I have been asking all the girls how business has been and they all say kind of slow.

I stopped by the old Sea Side Spa (I think it's now called Dr. Oside or something). Redneck was right, the girls are fairly cute but the service is rushed and strictly business.

I was thinking about this the other day. I was wondering how most mongers around here respond to the "LE Check" questioning. It's almost the same at every AMP.

"Have you been here before?"
"Who did you see last?"
"Where do you live?"
"What do you do for a living?"
"Why are you grabbing my ass?"

Okay I made that last one up, but how do you guys usually answer these questions?

The first two questions are pretty easy to answer if you do some prior research. It can only get tricky if the girl walks in and says, "What's my name?". 8/10 it's usually the same girl you requested but sometimes someone else comes in and if you say the wrong name, you're caught on your BS.

When they ask "Where do you live?", I usually say in a nearby city. But I don't know if this is good or not. Some say it's better to say you're from out of town. But I figured if come back frequently they're going to know that I live nearby anyway.

As for "what do I do for a living", I switch it up depending on the mood I'm in but usually on a topic that I can speak on a lot.

I don't know their exact LE tests, but it seems that's not so much the answer you give but how you give the answer. If you stutter or have long pauses between answers or act uncomfortable, she's probably going to be uncomfortable.

Just an FYI to anyone thinking of heading to one of the several AMP's in Escondido this coming Sunday (2/22), the professional Tour of California bike race will be in town that day. Upwards of 100, 000 people (including me! ) are expected to be out to watch the race, and it may be difficult getting to your AMP of choice. The route starts in Rancho Bernardo at noon, loops around east side of Escondido, Valley Center, up over Palomar Mountain and finishes in downtown Escondido (Grand and Broadway) sometime around 5pm. A number of streets in downtown Escondido are closed from Saturday night on.

Give this place a try, little hard to find in strip mall that has several different address for what looks like one building. 1/2 block north of Bobier on west side. Parking lot adjoins Kragen Auto. After paying the door fee, I asked who was working. The mamasan name 3, however, not remember any of the names after reading 100 of posts before heading out...I told her to bring a young provider. She obliged, left and sent back, Sophia (which I don't see any reviews here). Absolutely gorgeous! Very attractive face, D cups (hard to tell if they were real or fakes, they felt real nice) and a nice petite ass. After a few minutes of a so so massage, I made an advancement to touch...she warded me off. Tried again two minutes later....fended me off again, this time with a pretty stern voice! I'm an AMP man but I still like to scan Craigslist every now and then. I've noticed that Escorts are becoming much more price competitive I guess due to the economy.

A year or two ago, most escorts charged a flat $300 per hour rate. For the price conscious monger this made AMPs much more appealing because you could get F/S for just $150-200 including the house fee. But now in Craigslist, I'm seeing escorts drop their hourly rates to $140-150 and they've added two additional options, hh and quickies. Quickes go as low as $60-80.

Many escorts have now become quite a bit cheaper than AMPs. Are any AMP mongers seeing more escorts lately? I can't decide if I want to dive in with escorts. AMPs are usually safer (No Pimps and ROBs) and on the very unlikely-hood that you're at an AMP during a bust, unless they actually catch you in the act with tape recorded conversations, LE will usually just let you walk while they arrest the providers and mamasan.

But the escort rates are dropping like rocks. Those quickie/hh rates are really enticing.

I'm an AMP man but I still like to scan Craigslist every now and then. I've noticed that Escorts are becoming much more price competitive I guess due to the economy.

A year or two ago, most escorts charged a flat $300 per hour rate. For the price conscious monger this made AMPs much more appealing because you could get F/S for just $150-200 including the house fee. But now in Craigslist, I'm seeing escorts drop their hourly rates to $140-150 and they've added two additional options, hh and quickies. Quickes go as low as $60-80.

Many escorts have now become quite a bit cheaper than AMPs. Are any AMP mongers seeing more escorts lately? I can't decide if I want to dive in with escorts. AMPs are usually safer (No Pimps and ROBs) and on the very unlikely-hood that you're at an AMP during a bust, unless they actually catch you in the act with tape recorded conversations, LE will usually just let you walk while they arrest the providers and mamasan.

But the escort rates are dropping like rocks. Those quickie/hh rates are really enticing.

Since I play with a limited budget, I watch these trends closely because I'm always looking for a good deal. BaterHeh, your experience pretty much mirrors the experience I had at a Vista legit AMP.

Despite all the teasing, it's extremely unlikely you'll ever get any extras at these places. I've heard a few cases of guys who have been there a dozen times and gave a huge tip (>$80) managed to get a small amount of extras, but that's just crazy. Maybe if you have money and time to waste you can try to squeeze out a rushed HE at these legit AMPs, but it's not worth it for me. I'll go there for cheap legit massages, but I'll get my extras somewhere else. The Chinese AMPs have mastered the art of making you think you'll get something "next time" but you never do.

Btw Mr Bater thanks for the tips about Craigslist. But where is the erotic section for San Diego in the backpage? <Cough, cough. Kiaa, cough. Perhaps but I agree with your thinking from a few years ago. We could speak in Morse code and LE would still probably figure out what AMPs provide extras and how to initiate such services.

I think there are much larger factors in determining when/how an AMP gets busted. Here are just a few:

1.complaints by Nearby businesses.

- This is the biggest factor, IMO. If LE starts getting calls from businesses at the same office building about inappropriate "noise" complaints, then LE may eventually open up an investigation or check permits/licenses. AMPs with fairly thin walls are usually susceptible to this too.

2. High foot traffic

- This usually leads to number one, but if there are a ton of mongers constantly coming and going, then it's more likely to draw the attention of the nearby community.

3. Election Years

- Often times during election years, local politicians want to show that they've actually done something, so one of the easiest things for them to do is bust up AMPs. Lets them claim they've "cleaned up the community from depravity" even though the roads and buildings are crumbling.

4. City Redevelopment

- This happened in Oside. The city wanted to renovate part of Oceanside Blvd so they wiped out all the AMPs along there. Even the legit ones.

Sure once LE decides to bust an AMP some of the info we post here might save them a little time, but they'll figure it out eventually regardless. You can't really do anythng about #3 & #4, but the best way to keep AMPs off the radar is curbing #1 & #2.

As for #1, if you're at an AMP and you know there is a doctor's office or other businesses right round the corner, try not to grunt at the top of your lungs during the moments of bliss. Some mongers like to show off and want the whole building to hear their enjoyment, but this can cause problems down the line.

As for #2, don't crowd and hang around the AMPs. Do your business and leave. This a problem at the popular Escondido AMPs where you got guys hanging around and being loud right in front of the AMPs. Try also to make appointments to help reduce crowding.

I guess the information we share here does contribute a bit to the crowding. Maybe in that sense it might be good to exchange quality provider names by PM. But I think crowding is more of an issue, not that we're tipping off LE to something they didn't already know about.
