The house fee is usually from $40 an hour to $60 an hour for me. I dont think Ive ever paid $100 an hour house fee, I just avoid those, I just dont believe what theyre selling at those prices is that much better.
When you see an independent, you're paying roughly the same price and the independent keeps 100% of the house fee.
As always you should tip your conscience but personally if 100% of the money is going to them without any split, I don't feel additional tip is usually warranted.
For what it's worth most of my previous visits to independents have been a rip off or I've left very unsatisfied for what I paid for.
I've had way too many situations where I paid a lot of money and got very poor performance so I tend to favor the structured AMP environment regular fix business establishment) as opposed to somebody in a hotel or private residence.

For me 40/40 is an hour of massage for $40 and an HJ tip of $40. This is the baseline that I have used for years. In other words a good basic rub and tug, not much if any, UTC roaming and usually not that young or good looking but $80 out the door. I was in Chicago area sometime ago and the locals use a code for level of access that the provider allows, such as Level 1 or L1 or L2. I tried this spa out in LG by the Union Bank, behind Miss Donut shop on Broadway.
