I've had a particularly stressful period of my life, and I went in with the hopes of seeing Amy, an older woman who damn near has me falling asleep on that table.
Instead, I got Michelle, who was talking money from the get go. I went for a half-hour massage, at her suggestion, and she told me she gets a minimum of $80 for a hj.
Well, all I have is the change, I said, which was 60. Next time bring $80, she said.
Wouldn't even let me touch her ass. Seeing those hooters alone would've cost $100 for the package.
As I was leaving, I tried to explain that the main reason guys come to these places is to relax. "You come to relax, we come to make the money," she said.

Mesa police say they will crack down on scores of massage parlors that they and city officials believe could be fronts for prostitution and other crimes.
At the same time, the City Council's public-safety subcommittee chairman says he will push for a rewrite of Mesa's massage-parlor code, which was watered down when the council last approved revisions in 2004. Council member Dennis Kavanaugh said he hopes to have a proposal ready for consideration next month.
"It's like an unholy storm coming together," said Kavanaugh, who blames weak city regulations, inexpensive rent in some Mesa strip malls and the lousy economy for the proliferation of low-end massage parlors.
An Arizona Republic review of massage-parlor ordinances in six Valley cities showed Mesa's to be the most lax.
Five of the cities, for example, have detailed regulations governing lighting, plumbing and sanitation in massage businesses. Mesa eliminated those provisions when it rewrote its code in 2004.
Mesa changed its ordinance to bring it into compliance with a law that gave authority to the state of Arizona to issue massage licenses as of Jan. 1, 2005. The state law, however, deals only with therapists' licensing requirements and the duties of the Board of Massage Therapy. It does not address the physical premises of massage facilities.
City records contain no minutes showing that the council discussed those issues before passing the ordinance without comment on Nov. 15, 2004.
Further, unlike other cities that forbid massage-business operations after midnight, Mesa's law does not restrict their hours of operation.
Former Vice Mayor Claudia Walters said she had no memory of the council discussing those changes. Kavanaugh was not on the council at that time.
"It's not hidden what a lot of these massage parlors are about," said Detective John Fitzgerald of Mesa's Red Mountain District and a member of the street-crime unit. "It's very hard to prove prostitution in an environment like this, in an environment that knows what to do, what to say, what not to say."
Some merchants say the presence of nearby massage parlors has a negative effect on their businesses and working life.
Vicki Bloomquist works at Creative Destinations, a bead store two doors down from a massage parlor at the southeastern corner of U.S. 60 and Alma School Road.
On a recent weekend, she said, a nicely dressed woman in her 60s was shopping as her husband waited in the car. He began calling her repeatedly on her cellphone after he noticed the massage parlor and became worried for her safety. She checked out and left in a hurry, Bloomquist said.
"She was a new customer. I don't know whether she'll be back," she said.
Store owner Emily Cassaday said she carefully researched crime statistics before opening the bead store six years ago. The massage parlor's arrival may not have changed those numbers, she said, but it has generated concern among her mostly female customers.
"I just sense their apprehension," Cassaday said. When customers leave at night, "we stand at the door and watch just to make sure they're safe."
Male massage-parlor customers often park in front of her store, she said, "and kind of furtively look around and head down there. . . . Our clientele sees that, and that doesn't help us at all."
Police task force
Assistant Police Chief John Meza told Kavanaugh in a recent memo that the department would immediately organize an "ad hoc vice unit" to bolster the department's already-accelerating efforts to bust illegitimate massage parlors.
Meza said he would pull together five detectives and a supervisor in a concentrated effort to inspect the businesses and cite offenders.
"It's going to tell us a lot," Meza said. "It's going to tell us how deep our problem is."
Although police in other U.S. cities have found links between massage parlors, organized crime and international human trafficking, "we have yet to show that linkage here in Mesa," Meza said. "But that doesn't mean that it is not happening."
Kavanaugh said employees may be living in some of the facilities. "These may be young women who are almost in a state of slavery," he said.
Kavanaugh said he and other council members have been tracking the industry's growth in Mesa for about a year after receiving complaints from residents. Intensified efforts to deal with rogue massage parlors sprang from several meetings he had with police officials over that time, he said.
He asked the police department in June for legal advice on the issue. In response, department attorney Nancy Sorensen told Kavanaugh in a memo that Mesa's massage-parlor ordinance needs to be strengthened.
City records show the number of massage parlors in Mesa has increased more than 60 percent over the past three years. Tax and licensing records showed 73 parlors in April 2006. That number is now 119, with nine licenses pending.
That tally includes numerous businesses that offer standard, therapeutic massages, and an unknown number of others that police believe offer back-room sexual services behind blacked-out front windows at all hours of the day and night.
Phoenix, by comparison, has about three times Mesa's population but reported about 30 fewer active massage-parlor licenses.
Officers' tactics change
In 1999, the Mesa Police Department reported at least two instances when male officers had gotten naked to convince suspected massage-parlor prostitutes that they weren't police officers. In both cases, the men allowed their genitals to be touched.
After those cases came to light, then-Chief Jan Strauss suspended massage-parlor enforcement as the department evaluated its policy. Officers are now strictly forbidden to cross those lines in their enforcement efforts.
Over the past year, police have focused on unannounced visits, checking for city-code violations. At least one parlor was shut down for operating without a business license.
The inspections have uncovered at least anecdotal evidence of illicit activity.
In December, police said they saw what they believed were several used condoms in a trash bag outside the back of a massage parlor near Mesa Drive and Southern Avenue.
A female employee told officers she and another worker performed sexual acts on customers for money and said the business owner encouraged them to do so when they were hired, according to police reports.
One woman was cited for acting as a massage therapist without the required license. When police returned later that month to speak with the owner, the massage parlor was closed.
On another inspection in January, police caught a man leaving through the back door of a parlor near McKellips and Lindsay roads. He admitted receiving sexual acts from the same masseuse two weeks prior for an extra cost, according to the report.
The masseuse admitted performing sexual acts on the customer and on different occasions with others. She was cited for touching off-limits anatomical areas and for not having a massage license.

Also, isn't it still pretty safe for a monger? What can they do to you? I understand they can't come into the room you are in but maybe they could stop you on the way out to ask you questions. Would think it would be too easy to say "5th! " They then might threaten to tell your significant other about your stop if you don't cooperate etc?
Could they setup a cop inside a MP? I used to worry about this when I first started but all I really worry about now is if the girl is one that will provide extras or not and how embarrasing it would be if she didn't.

I love the anecdote about the geezer worried about his wife's safety as there is "gasp" a massage establishment down the way in the strip mall. Yup, all of us drooling sex fiends come crawling out of the parlors looking to attack elderly matrons - NOT!
Better yet who is the idiot who admits to the police he got more than a massage? Let me guess, they gave him one of their classic lies "we have cameras in there" and he folded like a tent. The day the po-po stop me coming out of a parlor is the day I ask them if getting a massage is still legal in this state. And if they give me any nonsense about non-existent cameras, I'll smile and suggest they watch the tape instead of hassling me.

While they were citing her, a man walked in, saw the two officers with their badges and bulletproof vests, and left in a hurry. When Fitzgerald caught up to him in the parking lot, said he always tells the masseuse up front that he doesn't want anything more than a massage. When Fitzgerald asked the man why he felt he had to state that, the man couldn't provide an answer.
As Fitzgerald and the man talked, he saw a customer walk into the parlor where the five women worked.
Fitzgerald offered to bet that the woman who massaged that customer wouldn't be the woman whose name is on the license.
They waited for the customer to come out, and he appeared nervous when detectives asked him to describe the woman who gave him the massage. He said he didn't do anything wrong and told the detectives that his wife instructed him to get foot massages for his diabetes.
The man agreed to go back in and identify which woman had given him the massage. Fitzgerald won his bet. The woman who worked on the customer was cited for giving a massage without a license.
I've been trying to get into Sports Massage in Mesa lately but haven't had any luck. And with the recent announcement about the Mesa PD I opted for a different city. I Went back to Rose Garden and saw Connie (Tasha). She really does give a great massage. I opted for a 45 minute massage with body scrub. The shower facility was being used so we started the massage. After about 10 minutes we went to the shower where Connie gave a great me a great scrub.
On a side note, as she was scrubbing me clean with the shower scrubber, I got nervous that the previous patron used the same scrubber. I wondered if an STD could be transmitted that way. Yuck.
Back to the room we continued my massage facing down and she gives a great massage. I flipped over and she could see I was ready for more. She gave me a good HJ. Our time was not up and she continued the massage for about 15 more minutes. I like that didn't try and rush me out once the ending came.
Grand Total cost was 100 bucks.

Nah...you will not catch anything. But it is gross. That's why it's best to take your own scrubber. They use the same ones sometimes.
Also...get you some of that anti-bacterial spray. I've noticed some of the girls don't change the towels on the massage table. I also will pick the towel up before I lay on it, and do a "it smells" motion and ask for a new one, just to be cautious:)

It was the best of times, it was the worst of times ...
There are 2 Tasha's out there. One at HK in Mesa, and another at Rose Garden off 7th, and I have seen them both.
Pepe's Tasha (HK) is an attractive, middle-aged Asian woman. She gives a lovely massage and is attentive to the ways in which to relieve your stresses.
The other Tasha (RG), was a heavier-set woman of European descent. Someone once posted a report on here about having a nice massage with her, but that was not my experience. She was alarmed that I knew her name and told me that very few people know to call her by that (perhaps it's her real name?). My experience with her was brief, to the point, and with no sense of relief.
If you want to visit a Tasha, visit the one in Mesa at HK. :)

I have had many nice times w Tasha the Russian. I guess I first saw her in 1998 when she worked at 7th St and Indian School.
She has been at Rose Garden for a few years now. I still love having her rub my back and a few other places...
Go easy on her guys, she is really pretty good.
Off subject but I live in Austin TX now and you guys are sooo spoiled w AMP's in AZ. Austin's AMP scene sucks and is priced three times above the Phoenix market.

Surely there is some networking going on.
As these are rather 'sensitive' times, even if I did have info, I would not divulge it on this forum and I hope that other mongers are of a similar mind.
Btw, myself and all the mongers that I know are only interested in getting a decent backrub.

PS The only 'Sting' to my knowledge that LE conducts is the 'interview' outside of the establishment where the LE will try its best to coerce patrons to explain the services he received and also to identify the provider.
Should be no problem for us. As I said, we only partake of these establishments for the backrubs.

The stories that have been going around about this issue are crazy. People are saing that shops are being closed that really aren't no one knows who or what to believe anymore. I've been keeping an eye on the news and nothing much has been said, but the stories in the shops are flyin'.

Just a FYI if you like a cheap massage. Palm Beach (Spa? ) on the NE corner of McClintock and Ray has a large sign out front advertising this special. It is also a Chiropractic Office, didn't see him, and you fill out a one page sheet for info, no big deal. A very pretty Serbian girl named Suzanne gave me a very good massage. There was no hint of, nor did the environment seem to lend itself to any extras available. YMMV. It is a one time per person special. It is only open until 7pm I think and I had to make an appointment, although I understand they do take walk-ins. Cheap enough for a good rub down.

Lurked a long time before sharing some dreams with you all. So I wanted to give a bit back to people's imaginations.
Had a few dreams travelling around the valley. Some of them were bad.
A new one at 59th Avenue and Peoria recently popped into my head. A Great Spa initially. Nice staff, typical Korean work ethic, extremely greedy only after a second worktime. My first dream was a nice experience, the second time, hands were plucking at my pockets and I couldn't wake up fast enough.
Green Day gave me green tinted dreams. A nice massage vision, but the harpies were screaming for more jingling as I tried to escape into the real world.
Jade Garden also gave me a killer massage, but very little other fringes.
Had another dream that I ran into Chastity. She left me high and dry with an empty head and a no-show into the netherworld. Ignored my electronic pleas and disappeared. I'm hopefully getting some mind brushes to scrub her out of my head.
Some dreams were mediocre.
Golden Spa is a hard to get in and out of place. Bad corner, bad ingress, decent work ethic. First dream was a wonderful massage. Second dream was better.
Body Comfort wasn't so comfortable in my hazy solitude while thinking. I understood nothing, and a not so great experience with add ons so thick that novocaine directly into my head with a large gauge needle would have given a better dream.
Then, some dreams were very nice to where I'd go back.
Kim from BP crept into my head a few times. Very independent girl. Not my body type, but great hands and bright imagination.
One place gave me some Greenways back into reality. 51 Routes back into reality, in fact, with lots of Goodwill in the process. Wonderful thoughts creep into my brain, with reasonable repeats of the same thoughts and no interference with my time clock, only a Subway tunneling into good times.

I was driving by Seventh Heaven on Scottsdale when a bunch of cop cars pulled up and shut down the road. I didn't stick around but I never did hear the reason for this. Does anyone else have any idea what happened?
Hopefully it wasn't to harrass service providers and hobbyists.

I was driving by Seventh Heaven on Scottsdale when a bunch of cop cars pulled up and shut down the road. I didn't stick around but I never did hear the reason for this. Does anyone else have any idea what happened?
Hopefully it wasn't to harrass service providers and hobbyists.
Could have been a lot of different things - funeral procession, motorcycle/bike run, etc...

A forum friend from out of town asked that I post the following reports from his adventures while visiting our fair burg. I have no experience with either place, so YMMV.

First location was Rainbow Massage located on the corner of Scottsdale and Shea. The location is in the center of a long row of stores behind "Asian Massage" (which is physically on Scottsdale). The location is clean and the therapist was ~32 years of age. She was roughly 7.0/10 or 7.5/10 in appearance and gave a satisfactory massage (7.5/10). I was not rushed and she was very very sweet. Standard finish runs 40 or 60 but other options were listed as way over the average price. Go here for a decent R&T.
Second location was Body Comfort Spa off Shea (by Ernie's Bar). AVOID THIS LOCATION. The place is in the open; they do not close the doors or protect you in any way while you are there; they do not provide an adequate massage and they upsell you DURING the massage. Expect the therapists to walk out during the massage to answer the phones or speak to people. It's a nerve-wracking and terrible experience. Avoid avoid avoid.

I have never seen Michelle in person. However, there is another board out there (which will not be mentioned to avoid breaking the rules of this board) which is based in the Northwest and has a large amount of posting activity from Portland and Seattle. I can confirm that Michelle has reviews on that board from Portland and it appears that she was located primarily in Portland before coming to Phoenix. So her story about the PD actually being PDX (the Portland airport code) and PDXXX being an XXX rated version of PDX appears to check out.

Haven't been too active of late but this past week I took a friend to a doctors appointment in the same medical plaza as MassageMax is in on Country Club in Mesa. Actually didn't even look to see if MassageMax was still open (stupid me). But anyway when we arrived I noticed a guy sitting in a white Intreped (spelling? ) backed into the spot. This was right in front off of C. C. The parking here is angled so backing in is sort of odd I thought. When we came out probably about an hour later he was still there but there was a marked police cruiser next to him and they were just chatting, both guys in their cars. Could be nothing. I just wanted to say thanx to all who stuck up for me. And sorry if I came across as being rude, but I am not a bitchy person in any way. If I have to prove myself more, there are many reviews on my site.
But, the reason why I am posting today is because if the 7th Heaven topic. Apparently le was there for a license check a couple weeks ago. One girl, who was let off with a warning for not having a license, was told not to be in Scottsdale ever again. Looks like they came back to check up. Stopped by a massage parlor just north of curry on scottsdale road. Was greeted at the door by an older asian women. paid .4 for a 30 min massage. I am an out-of-stater and have visited several AMPs in Phoenix over the last three years. After my last visit to the Red Carpet off Scottsdale and Shea, I concluded that I am tired of the negotiation game and and the emotional vacuum of AMPs. I am tired of the upsell and spending my hard-earned dollars on aloof women. I understand that the ladies need to make a living. I understand that "I ain't no Brad Pitt. Some of the encounters have been fantastically erotic and incredibly gratifying. But, in general, I have been left on the table feeling empty and screwed (no pun intended). I don't expect the ladies to fall in love with me, but $150-$200 is a lot of money and I don't think it is too demanding to get a little bit of loving (even if it is faked).
