Michguy has it right. If you were getting off I96 westbound at Telegraph, you would get in the right lane of the service drive IMMEDIATELY. Turn into the strip shopping center before you get to the light. You are there. M1 is a storefront in the strip mall, close to the service drive. There is also a strip bar La Chambre in the same mall. Nicer place than Henry's on Middlebelt, and probably better milage.
Reading your note, I'm not sure you were at the Jefferies I96 and Telegraph Exit Westbound. There is no turn against oncoming traffic. Telegraph proper is above you, and the freeway is below you. All the roads at that level are one way only.
I was looking for M1 ON Schoolcraft. Damnit, I just had to turn right instead of left when I exited. Oops. At least I know the area better now. I'll give you a report next time I'm in that area.
The name should be changed to "Old World Spa" because the masseuse's in there are just that old. The fee is .5 at the door. They want relatively high tips especially when considering the older age of the help.
Most amps in MI that are still open have gone down hill in the quality, age, and beauty of the masseuse's while the prices have gone up a bit in the past several years. Unless you have a strong asian fetish the AMP's seem to making a case for using some alternative service providers.

From what I have read about M1, you need to see the old lady on the first visit. She will ask you questions to determine if you are LE or not. The next time you will get someone else.

They are very careful according to other posters, and you are probaly right the mamasan was probaly not there alone.
I tried the Lakeside Spa on Hayes near 18 mile road that recently opened. I thought that since it is open to 10PM, it could be a good AMP. There was no table shower offered. The massage was pretty good although a little expensive (. 6 for half hr &. 8 for hr). I am used to the half hr being. 4 or. 5 and the hr being. 6 or. 8. Anyway, the massage was not deluxe. There were no extras offered and they did not seem to be on the menu.

I was happy to find out that I didn't have to drive far to get service. I don't really want to name the place because I believe LE reads this board and I'd rather keep this one open. Just let me offer you hope that there is a great place right around the corner in detroit if you just look.

I am on my semiannual visit to Michigan, and just had to stop by the M1 again today. I have been to many in the area over the years, including the ones in Jackson and A2, and this place is one of my favorites. I do not believe there is a big staff, but it is a nice environment.
I did not understand the 'door locked' comment below unless he was talking about the interior door. As it is with all the places, the interior door is always locked, and you ring the buzzer.

Ahhh I think the outsiders know what is up don't fool yourself.
I think some of the confusion about cost is how posters use them. some do so according to the recommended format in the abbrev section. Others use some sort of variation of that theme. Still others use their own. I think at one time it may have been useful to use a "Code". As Jackson has stated many times, LE knows what is going on without our help. Hell some of them are probably mongers themselves. So all we really need to do is make sure that we can understand what each other is saying.
Also I have received a few PM's from individuals who have only 1 or 2 posts. Generally these posts are to ask for intel that we have gone out and collected. I even had one from someone who had 0 posts and wanted info. Come on people, RTFF. In case you didn't hear it the first time RTFF. Then go out experience our great hobby, post your report then think about asking questions. If others on this board or myself don't answer you, don't take it personally. Two recent trips

No, the way you do it is you read the forum and see who others have seen and reviewed. For example, reading several posts down, you can see reviews for a "Kwan" and a "Kim," etc. Then you go and ask for that person.

I've been to m1 many times now. Apparently business was too good channel 4 did a story tonight on their undercover expose on the place after getting a call from a channel 4 viewer. They set up cameras outside the spa watching men go in, the faces were blurred. I will NEVER (never say never) stroll the Tel/7 mi area again. I have been ripped off there twice, and ticketed twice by LEO (1st time nuisance and impound of car, second time loitering-nothing). It's just too damn risky, too many cops from too many jurisdictions.
There are better places with better talent, for less risk.

Based on prior info (thanks guys) I made this place a point of interest on a recent weekend evening. After reading the positive reviews, and having an opportunity to go, I made it to M-1 this weekend. I was very surprised by how paranoid the MMS and the girls were. They actually frisked me to see if I was carrying a gun, LOL.
M-1 is in a very busy strip mall. There is a night club, and a strip bar (Le Chambre) in the same strip mall. There was a lot of vehicle and foot traffic in front of M-1. The place itself was pretty nice. It was clean and well furnished.

I dream't that I visited M1 for the first time a couple weeks ago. In my dream, I didn't have much trouble getting in. Anyway- based on the quote above I decided to visit this place and had a 100% legit massage. I dreamt of more, but it did not happen. The woman was named Barbara. I would guess she's in the mid 50's. It was a really nice massage for $45. Nothing else offered and it lasted an hour. I also met Maria- the owner who was a little heavy and probably 45-50 ish as well.
I did not see Ashley and I don't think her name was on the schedule either. I tried to take a look at the schedule book while booking for another day later in the week.
It was quite a nice place and if extras were offered, I'd go back quite often, but for now. I'll wait to hear more.

Take Joy to Telegraph (US 24) North to 96. M-1 is located in the shopping center on the Northeast corner of 96/Telegraph. It is located in a very plain looking storefront in the strip mall. There is a LaChambre strip club in the same mall. When heading North on US24, be sure to veer right to avoid going over the hill. Instead of going up and over the intersection, you need to stay in the right lane to get into the strip mall parking lot on the Northeast corner.
Enjoy. I've never been there, but read good stories about it. Do your homework in the forum before going. YMMV based on strategy.

Since the first reviewer seemed to have a better experience I thought I'd go back and try another gal. This time I had Sara, quite a bit younger and average looks. She clearly asked my to get undressed, keep my underwear on and get under the covers. She gave a mediocre massage and absolutely, and clearly nothing more. Fooled me twice shame on me.
Still looking for suggestions.

Don't feel bad, I tried several months ago and the Momason told me that I had the wrong place... I asked if it was a massage parlor and she told me "NO". I just left, figure they didn't want my money and have never been back. She is just being careful (The *****), plenty more action out there. Try the escorts section in Metro Times or Craigslist. Follow the board and see where everyone is having success...

More often than not, experiences should be consistent in a spa during a relatively short period of time (days/weeks, often longer) ... relative consistency with girls and especially if you're a repeat and the mama knows you.
But sometimes different girls ARE dramatically different, or a girl who doesn't know you will be uncomfortable or ... more likely, I think ... something will suddenly happen to change things ... like something that raises their LE concern.
I think your case is the exception ... but not entirely unusual. And I think the Detroit spas, as a whole, are inconsistent. I don't think you did anything wrong ... although flat out asking for extras probably isn't the way I'd do it. But it was already too late in this instance.
It really must be hit and miss.

My question is has anyone had a "BETTER" experience with Lilly? She was so cute I'd love to go back, but I want to minimize my chance of a repeat. The massage was 1/2ass which made me think the extras were reason for staying.

I am dressed in a suite, a bit drunk, was out for a long time that night. Anyways, I get out, ring the door bell, and before I could knock on the door, this short, little tough guy comes walking across the parking lot towards. I reach to knock and tells me its closed, I asked him how does he know. And he pulls back his jacket like he was trying to show me something on his belt and simply reiterated that its closed. So, I left.
In sobre retrospect, pretty sure he was leo, figure I was lucky to get out of there with out a dui or worse.
Hows that for a first experience.

I don't know of anything else in the area so I went to M-1 again. I like to go when I visit that sided of town. I always read this forum prior to see what's up. I was a bit nervous reading about the recent news coverage and the hard time that mammasan has been giving guys.
I haven't been for a long time so I was prepared for a hard time (one time I was there mammasan and I worked out a password but I read on here someone else tried that and she said she never forgets a face.) You just learned why no one talks about this place...Your experience is the standard...You will never have a better experience or a worse...The only plus is that everything is out in the open..You don't have to deal with that "Are you a cop?" drama that you might get at other AMPS (I was asked if I wanted FS as soon as she let me in)..I think this place makes its money based on location..Guys who don't get any luck on the "stroll" swing in to get a quick release. I would suggest strickly HJ from this place.. .60 fully clothed (don't let them talk you up) and $. naked (unbelievable!)..I see you took them down on FS.I think their standard rate is $.50..but you also dropped $ for the hour..don't give them a second chance. You will get more of the same.

Dreamt I went there Friday around lunch time. Won was not there, supposedly on vacation. Met with MiMi who was new. Shower was in use so she started with warm wet washcloth in the vital areas and then proceeded as usual. Her massage skills are actually not bad. Enjoy.

I visited Detroit last weekend and got a warm welcome from MMS on Saturday. She was unusually animated (usually all business). I know some of you have written about not getting service there and others have mentioned their approach, so I thought I would share my thoughts.
