Never been there, no comments about it on the ultimate strip club list, and only one substantive comment at www.stripclublist.com. The poster said it's kinda shady, but then again it IS Michigan Ave.

Years ago when the Wood-Six Theater was about to close, several of the girls that could make it elsewhere were rumoured to be going to the Sunset Strip. I guess five years ago this would have meant there would be takeout available- the Wood-Six was wide open with fs going on in the theater for $50- up to 3 songs or so. Not sure this is where the girls ultimately ended up,as I heard rumours also that the girls were going to Dizzy Duck (long defunct) and the Please Station.... but I assume most of them probably freelanced with regulars or moved into the more shady metro times escort services of the day. I really never had a chance to check that rumour out and by now, with turnover in dance clubs being what it is, they are most likely long gone.
That said, If some of the Wood-six girls did populate or still populate the Sunset strip it probably has something going on, at least on a take out basis. The rumours I heard of the club though tended to make me believe it was less than caucasian friendly.... and I never had the guts to take my silly honky ass in there.
Never been to Sunset Strip, you might have better luck at Club Venus. They have blk,white,latino dancers. My expirence with strip clubs the day shift is your best bet for extras and take out.

My friend, the Sunset is COMPLETELY non-caucasian. I go in there from time to time because I got boys i grew up with workin the door, so I go to visit. I have personally received takeout service from a couple of the dancers from the sunset strip. As far as getting extras in there good luck, the place is real small, no vip room, and there are bouncers looking everywhere. Again, it is one of those YMMV type of things.

Stopped by during the day shift last Wensday to check out the place my last visit was about 90 days ago. Very slow during the day probaly about 5-7 dancers 10 customers maybe. The bar is very large since the remodeling new bathroom, Super Bowl week the place was packed they say. Large vip area couches and booths very dark. Had a few dances good contact no hint of extras that day but the setup is right for it. If you are downtown, Greektown it is worth a visit. Parking is not free unless you use the casino.
Stopped in about a month ago Thursday night dances are $10. I went after 11 pm the cover was $20 yikes fairly large crowd they had a lot of dancers. Not to flame you but discresion would be better on everyone's part when it comes to strip club bars. For example there was a club on 8 mile, (which everyone knows but will remain nameless)that was doing the excat same thing. Some dumbat$$ posted a report on another board that the le was montoring. Long story short, the bar gets shut down for a week and now all the girls are scared to do anything more for months. So if you are going to do a indepth report on a club. Change the names and try to do some misdirection. Or if someone asks about a club try pm'ing a senior member.

The other day I went to this bar which will be nameless for the time being and I apologize now for being vague on some of the activities in advance because I don't want to offend anyone. Paid a visit to Deja Vu in Highland Park last night. Thurday's the dances are $10 but the cover is $20. The crowd at about 10 pm was small the dj anounced showtime and all the dancers got on stage. I checked out the aforementioned T-bar Monday afternoon and while I can confirm that the girls were very friendly, there was a lot to be desired in the looks dept.

Toy Box also possibly applies here, it is considered Dearborn on TUSCL and SCL although I've heard the girls need a Detroit liscence to dance there- not sure where the border is I thought it was Ford Road.

Yeah its flight club. The day I went in was kinda slow and all I heard was english when I stopped by. The other one would have been bogarts.
Flight club really does play it fast and loose with the le considering its rep. Not to mention in the whole area its has more security short of a police station. Never had a real friendly handshake there, but its possible. As usal ymmv with certain girls. My only complaint is the prices, 25 for a dance in the champange room. There are other levels and not sure of those prices. Also 7. 75 for a beer is a rip off but hell I can live with it.

Apperently from reading the Forum the fore mentioned t-bar is on Michigan Ave somewhere, to which there a several bars such as Flight Club, Bogarts, Pantheion, Silver Cricket, with Henrys and Toy Chest in the area also.
Could someone send me the info on which is the t-bar and what is 2nd best. I grew up around the Mt. Pleasant area and have never hit a club in this area. I will only have an hour or so around lunch time before I will have to be back on the road so any info would help.

DETROIT -- A Larry Flynt Hustler strip club may open downtown after the end of the year, if city council members give their OK.
The decision could end a three-year-long battle between the strip club owners and the city. This morning lawyers for the owners of the proposed Hustler strip club asked city council members to approve the transfer of the Zoo Bar's liquor license and topless dancing permits. The appeals court, which sent the case back to U.S. District Judge Julian Abele Cook Jr. in Detroit, said the ban on mixing alcohol and nude dancing could still be valid, but only if the state gives better reasons for such a ban.
Strip club lawyers say the decision frees up the state's strip clubs to go nude as soon as Cook issues the formal injunction, which is expected to take about 30 days.
Several attorneys said they expect the ban to remain in the end, because federal courts have consistently upheld these prohibitions.
In the meantime, many local municipalities have their own laws regulating nude dancing and alcohol and will likely try to enforce them if topless bars make the transition to nude, although those could face court challenge as well, lawyers said.

Cover Girls is my neighborhood strip bar located on Whittier. I stopped in last Saturday night at midnight. It has been at least a couple years since I visited this place. Not much has changed it still has that neighborhood bar feel with a lot of regulars. They had I guess about 6-8 dancers some very nice some average. Surprising to some this is not a black club they had one black dancer there were black and white customers . It was a slow night I watched the stage show, no dancer approached me for a dance even though they walked past my table. Checked the menu they have some cheap food I will return but earlier next time. When the dancers still want to make some money.

Just went to Henry Viii, and I'm of two minds about it.
The atmosphere out front is pretty cool. It's not all upscale and trendy ... it's a working man's bar where you can go to have a beer and watch some topless girls dance. The waitstaff even flirt. Yes, as other people have mentioned, the girls will be really direct about what goes on in the back room, right at the bar. I hadn't been there 5 minutes before one of them said "I'll sit on your face and **** your *** if you come to the back with me."
That said, the back room made me want to come home and purell my ****.

I've only been to the on in Inkster. There is a lot action that can be had there for a fair price. There is a good mix of skanks and desirables. Monday night is $10 dance night. But you have to buy a wristband for an additional $10 to go back to the VIP. You only have to buy it once and if you're going to get a bunch of dances, it's worth it.
You can get to it by taking the Middle Belt exit from the 94 freeway. Go north on Middle Belt.You want to keep driving until you pass Mich Ave. You're going to go another half mile and it will be there on the right hand side between the Rec Center and a gay club called Stilettos.

Both have mostly white girls but the looks vary from fugly to hotty. Henry's north near the airport serves alcohol, Henry's south does not but you will leave happy. Also on Michigan ave around the corner from Henry's north is Bogarts all have the same owner. Bogarts serves alcohol too. Across the street from Bogarts is the premier club in the state. The Flight Club it is the opposite of the other clubs it is high end hot women. And the dancers are not shy.

First time poster here. The bar opens at noon. There are usually 4 or 5 white girls working for the first 2 or 3 hour then some black girls come in. You will have no problems in the daytime. Now at 7:30 there is a shift change of dancers and they are usually all black after that time. From what I have heard the crowd is all black and it gets crowded in there. You probably will be the only white guy there. Times have changed for the former Dutchess. The last 20 years it stayed the same. All white girls and few black customers. At night it is the reverse. They are in the process of remodeling the bar. And it really needed that.

Sorry this report is so belated but, I just returned from South Africa and Mozambique. Just a day before my month long mongering excursion in Africa, I went to Minx club. I started out the night at Bev's Backstreet but, it was a bit lame and there were hardly any women there, just old white men. I decided to try Minx and it was great. Many of the best looking girls from Bev's Backstreet were working there along with some other good looking women I had never seen before. The owner was friendly and said he had big plans for the club. I hope so. I really liked the club. Its amazing how these strippers remember every guy that walks in those clubs. I don't go very often but, they always remember me... if only they weren't so high maintenance.

Ok, it may be my old age or it may be something else. I have been to Henry's 3 times of which 2 of the times , let just say that things were over almost before they really got started in the VIP.
It seems they may be using some type of lotion that seems to speed the process along like lightning. The last time the dancer "had to go into the bathroom" right before the dance. During the dance I could not see anything see was doing(down there) as she was completely hiding what she was doing. It was over very soon after she started.
It is intereseting as I haven't had that experience anywhere else but Henry's South.

Since she arrived with no car, the bouncers told her that there was no soliciting in the bar. She was very very good looking, black, petite, well dressed (normally) and well manicured. I couldn't tell what she was doing in the bar. She was just too pretty to be a hooker or to be LE. She actually left once to get cigarettes from the gas station across the road. and came back.. Remember, Minx is on VanDyke and 7 Mile, not a place a woman like that walks around near midnight.

I do not disagree that I may be missing the mark in addition to getting the wrong ones there are a few dancers that you really need to find out what they mean exactly. a $ hj is what I consider a bad night. Some of the dancers think $hj is really "taking care of you".
I did have one very good time for half the price but the other 3 times were not good.
After I beat myself up for being an idiot I probably will check out different times/days and be more of an idiot. I will be very cautious next time and if it is just not right..well no is always an option.
Made a daytime visit to Bouzouki Tuesday things were pretty slow as usual.
There were about 8 dancers some new that I did not see when I was there last month. I was about to leave when some of the night dancers came in early about 5 pm. Met a 19 yr old cutie from Atlanta she moved here a couple of months ago. Her name was Jade or something with a J gave a great dance. If you are in Greektown it is a nice diversion.

I had a couple of hours to wait for a friend whose plane was coming in. So I decided to stop by the Landing Strip in Romulus. It has been a few years since my last visit. 3:30 in the afternoon on a Saturday the place was dead less than 10 customers 3 dancers. They did have a good drink special though. Found out that lap dances are $25 plus $5 for a wrist band. Average looking dancers but two of them did put on a nice sexy show on stage I guess they were bored and decided to play.
The strip clubs dominated by black women were pretty dead in January and the best girls were not around. As I drove 8 mile last week, I noticed the clubs on 8-mile were full of customers. Thinking all the clubs picked up like the 8-mile clubs did, I went to Minx on Van Dyke again this weekend. As good as it was in December, its not worth going to now. Although the girls are not the worst looking, they're not the best either and are virtually clueless when dealing with customers. I noticed the girls complain about not making much money but, generally ignore the paying customers preferring to be friendly to the non-paying ones. I think I'll wait until I hear reports of the black clubs picking up again before I waste an evening out.

Hit Bogarts Feb 6 about 9 pm. Five dancers and at least three times as many customers. Five for entry, ten for a wristband, and 20 each for lap dances which amounted to lots of grindage only. Throw in a 6.75 beer and dropped a lot in a hurry for a lot of nothing. Pretty disappointing.
Ended up wtih an overpriced CBJ from "Tuesday" who apparently drives up from Toledo.
She quoted $ but didn't include the two songs so it ended up 1.4. The VIP I had earlier from "samantha" were as full contact as you can imagine.

I sat down order me a sprite (I don't drink) watched some of dancers do what they do best and that was it. The none of the girls came over to my table and asked if I wanted a dance even after thrown more than just 1's. As soon as their set was over they went to the same people over and over. The bargirls kept asking me if I wanted another drink kepts saying no ask one of the bar girls to ask one of the girls to come over for a dance she said ok and did it but the girl walk back to the table she was sitting at and stayed so after a hour I got up and left. I went to the Flight Club last night. This place has amazingly hot young white chicks. I sat at the bar and had a couple of beers. All of the girls were very attentive. Bar and wait staff were great too.
Russian chick tried to get me to go to the Champaign room first, promising that the dances cost the same in there as they do upstairs. $25. I told her that it was BS and she was scamming me. She was kind of drunk, so she started getting all dramatic and making a scene. I gave her $300 and left.
Flight Club is still my favorite strip club, and the first part of the night was awesome. This would have been a perfect night if I hadn't had my run-in with the little blonde scammer. Every club has them though. I guess I should just chalk it up as a $300 lesson learned.

I agree HJ's don't quite get it. One reason I stopped going to strip club's for alot of years is that (the vip) which was primary only lap dances only made things worse. I was already in the mood before I would go to the club.

I have been in town on business for the last few days.
One of my favorite clubs is here in Detroit, The Booby Trap.
I have reviewed it before, but not in a while.
This club is very laid back, and smaller compared to some of the other larger and better known in the Motor City.
The women vary, but on average I would say they are solid 7's.
The normal setup is one girl on stage while the others walk the floor, provide private dances in the back, or sit with a customer.
They have recently remodeled and upgraded some of the equipment.
I was in on 5/21/08. I arrived at about 8pm and left at midnight.
There is a parking attendant that will greet you and take your car - kinda funny seeing how the parking lot is about the size of a postage stamp and you could park your own car. Anyway, on your way out, you will have to pay the attendant a 5 buck penalty to get your car back.
Not much has changed since my last visit in over 12 months. The girls all provide great grindage, allow touching, and are very comfortable sitting on your lap and in your arms - and all that happens just sitting at the bar. Things step up a notch during the private dances (20 bucks per song and the songs tend to be longer than other clubs).
You can always buy a girl a drink and she will sit with you. In my experiences the girls have never really pushed the drinks. But in this last visit they had a rather pushy waitress. Myself and my dancer both turned down offers of drinks from her and she just wouldn't take 'NO', until I told her I had to drive. Avoid her if you can.
No extras are provided at the Trap, but if you are looking for a place to unwind, have a beer, watch a game or girl, and put a smile on your face, then stop by and enjoy.
I have always felt safe in the club, it is convenient to I-75, and again, the girls are personable.

Sigma, you may want to try the Toy Chest at Ford Road just west of Southfield. Not a top dollar club, but no where near a dive. Milage way better than anything in Grand Rapids. Nice selection of gals and they handle groups well. Way better than henry viii and closer to MGM.

Henry the VIII South is good if you are looking to get your friend laid. There is absolutely no question that it can happen there. Seedy? Yes. Unsanitary? Yes. Will the creepy guy sitting next to you (and I mean, right next to you in the VIP) witness the entire event? Yes. But if you're cool with that. It's great. Not for everyone, but if you are looking for maximum mileage with minimal hassle, it's your place. One other caveat. No alcohol at H8S. Drink before you go.
In the downtown area, there's Bouzooki's (sp? ). It's located near/in Greektown, and more specifically, across the street from the Atheneum Hotel. You're going to get less mileage. Most likely not a total wipeout, but not the holy grail either. The girls are pretty good looking, and like most places, the later you go, the better the talent. Food and drink prices are in line with most SCs. It has a decent VIP area, and I think the dances are still $20.
If you want a bit more excitement, try Hardbodies on Michigan Ave. One of my personal favorites. This is heading west towards Dearborn, but it's fairly close to MGM. Hardbodies is probably right between HS8 and Bouzooki's in terms of cleanliness, stripper action, and cost. Alcohol is allowed there. It's a bit more rough than some of the downtown or (nice) 8mile clubs, but if you aren't looking for trouble, you should be cool. Girls range from crack-ho to "what the fuck are you doing in this dump? "
Last place I'll discuss is Flight Club. Nice place. Beautiful women. A bit pricier and not much chance of action. Others have mentioned that sometimes things go on there, but it seemed to be more of a thing for regulars or high rollers. I could be wrong and other input is certainly appreciated. I can recommend that it is a decent looking place with better than average quality girls and food.

Windsor is across the river, where is legal, go to jasons or get some delivery. Flt clb is the best all around imho.

It's a shithole, but probably the only place around where FS is damn-near guaranteed.
Outside of H8's I pretty much agree with what everyone else has said, but I also want to throw Centerfolds on John R and 7 1/2 mile in the mix. This is a club that doesn't seem to get much coverage on this board for some reason, but I gotta tell you, I personally think it's one of the most consistently funnest clubs around for me. Every time I go there I leave feeling like I had a great time. I think, for my tastes anyway, it strikes just right balance between overall atmosphere, mileage, music, dancer hotness, and classiness. There are clubs with hotter dancers, clubs that are classier, clubs with better mileage, etc. But Centerfolds has the right balance without being too heavily weighted in one area and not enough in the other. For example, H8's is off the charts in the mileage category but it's a shithole. On the other hand John John's is classy with generally 9's and 10's but there's no mileage to speak of (the goon bouncer will walk over to your table to tell you to get your hand off the dancers' knee).
Centerfolds is generally right down the middle in every category, with a few specifics to take note of:
- Mileage is above average and I can tell you from personal experience that FS in VIP is possible. But be aware that there is no privacy in VIP, it's simply over in the corner on the main floor with no walls. But bouncers tend to look the other way to whatever may be going on in VIP
- It's not a dump, but not high class either. Your buddy probably won't feel like a balla, but he won't feel like he needs a tetanus shot either. It's not the kind of place that white collar types will stop by after work, like say the Toy Chest.
- They have one of the funnest stages, IMO. On most Fri / Sat nights the girls do 3-song sets with 3 girls on stage at the same time, rotating 1 off / 1 on after each song. There is usually lots of contact between the girls on stage and it's quite common for 2 girls to lay on the stage 69'ing each other.
- The music is loud and tends to lean towards rock / metal. This is one of the reasons that I enjoy the place
- Waitstaff is pretty laid back and not pushy

The same guy that owns Bouzouki also owns Lolitas on Griswold right off Woodward near Comerica Park. Lolitas used to be the Grind, I have not been to Lolitas since the change. Bouzouki in Greektown is a better bet they also do a bachelor party show they will bring your boy on stage. If he is the shy type this might not work. The next area close is going out Mich ave but you have to go to Dearborn for the nice clubs. Also if you guys are staying at the MGM and have the money to spend try and get one or two dancers to come back to the hotel. They dancers can do a lot more in your hotel than in the club.

I was in Club Venus Tuesday afternoon. About 8 gals, but did not see any Latinos.
Well I went to the infamous H8S for the first time today. It was not as disgusting as the forum made it out to be. It's rather small and cramped. Not too dingy. 8-9 girls working today (about 4pm). Half were uggos. One was almost 60 and still wanted to take me back to the "VIP" room. I politely declined. Overall the forum members are on the money with this place. Half the girls were solid 6-7's (in comparison to Platinum Showgirls in Toledo or Flight Club). They really don't have a set schedule so any girl can show up at any time. I wanted to go back with a girl named Deanna but some dude snapped her up for an hour and she left after. Had a mediocre dance with a girl name Jen (she offered and performed CFS) in the make shift storage/VIP room. The weird thing is when I went in there 2 guys half naked getting their groove on with 2 girls. Don't like the idea of my knee touching some other guy's knee while getting a lap dance (too close for comfort). These girls were aggressive. One showed me a palmed condom asked me if I wanted to have fun. She was not my type (heavy set) so I declined. I will definitely be back. I will give Bogart's a try out tomorrow and give a report.
