I said YMMV because Troop said that he would repeat with her. I gave Troop the benefit of the doubt (even though he said she was tall, 5'10"). Go look at arrest reports for these types of stings. The only way the cops get these charges to stick with paid informants is they record the serial numbers of the bills used, so they are able to go back and prove the money changed hands. Just evidence there was a phone conversation won't even get you on the court docket.
So then it's down to whether one of the women would take a deal and help them bust a bunch of johns they'd seen in the past. Does he really think they are going to "flip" these girls to testify against johns to avoid a misdemeanor rap? These women will do their time, pay their fine, and be right back doing what they do in no time.
But to Nemo's point, using disposable phones is the smart thing to do.

I have to respectfully disagree. If you want to share anything and everything you know with just anybody else, that is your decision and right and nobody is going to stop you. However, if other members want to be more selective in what they share and who they share it with, not only is that THEIR right, there are many sound reasons for them to choose to handle their information sharing that way.
First of all, for those Senior Members who choose to not share EVERYTHING with Regular Members, it could partially be a function of SUPPORTING the forum. I think it is great that just regular members can get so much information for absolutely free. However, we all have to remember that NONE of us would be able to share any of that information if the board was not here and the board would not be here if at least some members didn't SUPPORT the board by becoming Sr. Members. Sure there are all sorts of other benefits for becoming a Sr. Member (e.g. in terms of photo viewing, messaging, etc.), but why shouldn't an extra level of access be one of them (on a case by case basis decided by those CONTRIBUTING the info in the first place). If those members contributing the information want to use SOME of the info they contribute to incentivize other members to become supporting ones, that makes some sense and is their right (since it is their info).
Secondly, for those members contributing numerous posts (whether Sr. or Regular Member) who choose not to share EVERYTHING with Regular Members who DON'T, it could partially be a function of wanting others besides themselves (and a few others) to contribute as well rather than to be just users who leech off of others. After all, the board works best if lots of people add information to it. Of course, just because you have a number of posts doesn't mean you really add anything to the board (just look at me if you don't believe that :)), so members trying to acheive that should consider the content as well as the quantity of other members' posts.
Thirdly, there are other not-so-foolish reasons for members to place various restrictions on what they share publicly and who they share it with. For example, a favored provider may be one who that poster values and does not want to refer guys who may be assholes who do not treat providers right. Of course, there are no guarantees with guys you only know from a few posts on the board, but if they can check out at least a few posts they can get a better sense whether that guy might be an asshole or even whether he might be LEO. If another member has been contributing and describing sessions he has had himself (and over a period of time), he is much less likely to fall into either of those undesirable categories.
Lastly, you may have no problem posting graphic (and possibly incriminating)details of commercial sexual encounters in an open forum where basically anybody can read it, but other posters might. Some posters will restrict what they post in open forum, but will share freely with anybody backchannel. However, even with backchannel shared info, you still basically don't know who is reading it, especially if its just some stranger who opened an account but has posted nothing to indicate who he really might be (hobbyist or LEO).

Whenever someone says RTFF, it is nearly always because they recall it being discussed on the OPEN forum on one or more occasions. Actually reading back over the forum might uncover it, but what they were more likely suggesting is that the person at least try to do a search before bringing it up again. If that has EVER happened to you (or anyone else reading this) then cite the example and I'll be willing to bet a well thought out PROPER search will uncover AT LEAST one prior reference to what ever you were asking about. I suppose it might happen on rare occassions when a person will respond with a RTFF where there really was no prior reference to it. More likely, the poster just couldn't find it because there were no obvious keywords in the original post(s). MUCH more likely they couldn't find it because they didn't know how to structure a search properly or were simply too lazy or thoughtless to even try.
Take this latest example. In this case, Nicetpacouple actually did a search but he failed to include the St. Pete forum, which would have made sense since NPR is actually in Pinellas not Hillsborough (but I guess that was a somewhat understandable oversight). To his credit, he did not complain about the RTFF comments and was actually very understanding of them even though HE was the one those comments were directed to. Like Loafer Boat, I managed to find a reference to Staci in the St. Pete forum independently and with relatively little effort. My method was a little different from his. You don't HAVE to go to the other forum sections to do seperate searches, but you might need to use the Advanced Search feature. In this case, I scrolled down and selected BOTH St. Pete and Tampa at the same time by holding down the CTRL key as I clicked on each of them. One last comment for LK and others who are just starting to the forum. Reviews don't have to just be on providers you have found who are reliable. Cautionary reviews on providers who are NOT reliable (or downright awful) are at least as helpful to others if not more so as they let us know which providers to avoid. Also, if you're just joining the board, you don't have to wait to provide reviews just on NEW experiences. You can get the ball rolling by providing reviews of providers you may have seen prior to joining the board as long as they're not completely ancient. As long as the provider is still actively advertising in the area and your experience with her is recent enough to provide some useful guidance, then you should post about it (clarifying of course approximate how long ago the encounter occurred). This is particularly true if someone specifically asks about her or you didn't see any other reviews of her, but even if no one was asking about her specifically or that provider already had many other reviews, it helps establish you as a member who is trying to contribute positively to the forum.

However, when I have a response to or disagreement with something you or anyone else posts, I think I have a right to (respectfully) express my own opinion. That is what makes this a DISCUSSION board.
As it happens, I actually agree with you that we SHOULD treat new members better. One can always GENTLY remind a newbie that they should try to find the info on their own first before posting without biting their head off about it (for example, if I ever say RTFF, I usually say so (nicely) but then provide the info or a link to it anyway). After all we were all newbies at one point or other and we all can sometime make mistakes. What we never want to do is discourage new members from becoming more active posters on the board.

OTOH, LK is not the first member to express his appreciation of my unique contributions to the board on the OPEN forum for you to see for yourself. 95% of those ads for new girls MIGHT be completely legit, but perhaps one of the best ways to avoid a sting is to simply stay away from such girls. A girl who has been advertising for some time (and under the same number) is much less likely to be a sting, because if she was guys would be on to her. I suppose it is always possible that a provider who has been arrested could be turned to be used as a decoy, but that is much less possible (lets not get TOO paranoid). The only way I'd ever see a new face would be if:
a) she had been reviewed as legit by a poster who had "legitimized" himself with posts over time, or
b) she was just so hot that I let my little head take over and do all the thinking.
In either case, if I were to see such a gal, my radar would be working overtime, suspicious looking vans or people hanging out in the area, "verification" procedures before any money exchanges hands ("I'll show you mine if you'll show me yours"), etc.
And you're right that hotel rooms out near the airport are particularly popular locations for such stings. Unfortunately, they are also popular locations for legitimate incalls by visiting providers, which means you might wrongly rule out some that are really very good.

You guys are right though. All I was saying if the cops took one ad down because they thought guys were on to it or because the sting operation had run its course, then why didn't they take down the "Tampa version"? Maybe it was a sting, but one ad's disappearance (while another one's remaining up) is not really evidence of anything. Actually, the fact that the alleged provider is moving between jurisdictions suggests that this is really not city or county LEO running a sting unless it is some wider-scale interagency cooperative effort, which doesn't seem as likely to me or we would have been hearing more about it by now with mass arrests.
As likely reason one ad was taken down was because the provider POSTING it was stung by an undercover cop responding to it and it was removed because of the illegal activity of the ADVERTISER rather than any other guys responding to it. Or it could be because she played out the business available on that side of the bridge (or did not get enough of it to begin with) and pulled her own ad so that she could run a new one for a new geographic area with hopefully more business.
As I've said before, there IS a lot of CIRCUMSTANTIAL evidence that it MIGHT be a sting and it certainly COULD be, but how do you KNOW with such ABSOLUTE certainty that it really IS a sting? Have you seen any arrest reports of GUYS at the location that you know that ad is directing them to? Or did you go to the incall location and see some arrests going down or anything more than what LOOKED like "suspicious" activity to you?
There are OTHER explanations for ALL the things you see as "proof".
1) Some people actually take calls as they come in rather than screening everything and sending it over to voicemail, particularly if they think it might be a potential client who might not be so comfortable leaving a recorded message.
2) Providers can be well spoken. Not all come from trailer parks or the ghetto and some really are college students. Besides, whoever wrote that ad couldn't have been that well-spoken given the misuse of the word "novice".
3) Visiting providers often use hotels near the airport for their incalls when they fly into town from other cities. And sometimes local providers also use such locations as well.
4) Some providers use posting services to run their ads for them. Or it could be a common agency for a small group of girls that posts the ads for them. So sometimes ads will appear similar.
5) And some girls are more modest about posting ads with graphic photos, particularly when such ads already appear to be advertising illegal sexual activities.
All of the things that have been mentioned are certainly very suggestive that something might be up, but they are NOT absolute proof.
Lastly, most of us are already fully aware of the consequences of getting arrested in this "hobby", which are very serious. An arrest for prostitution is not something any of us would want on our record. It can be very embarassing because they often publicise photos of those arrested for prostitution on websites and in special flyers rather than make people have to dig for them like they would with similar level non-sexual offenses. And it can be very costly, not just for the legal fees involved but in some cases confiscation of vehicles or the loss of jobs or marriage when others find out about it. However, simple prostitution cases are NOT treated in the same class as registered sex offenders and child molesters. You DON'T have to register whenever you move and your name will NOT appear on those locator maps of registered sex offenders. So you really didn't need to dramatize it or overstate it like you did.
Of course, we should always be careful with whomever we're going to see the first time. And we should be particularly careful whenever there are extra warning signs out there. For many guys, the best defense would be to simply avoid all those situations where even a few of those warning signs are there and that would be understandable given the possible consequences if the smoke turned out to be fire. But SUSPICION of something being a LEO setup is not the same thing as CERTAINTY and those who forego seeing these questionable gals should understand that they could just as likely be passing up the opportunity to be with a provider who might actually be nice. Personally, that is something I can easily live with.

It has been my expierence that any ad that appears without a phone number is fake. I once went on the Las Vegas boards looking for someone in particular and found many of the same ads that appear in the Tampa section. The only difference being the name of the city being changed. I previously have sent several e-mails to some of the ads listed in Tampa expressing my desire to meet the person in the ad so that I could get the massage that was advertised. NOT ONCE, did I ever get a response. It`s all a scam to get your e-mail address or try and and get your credit card info under the guise of pre-screening you for the girls safety.

I agree with Speed or at least that is NEARLY universally true. Like him I've experimented with that section (actually the equivalent section back on CL). I figured beforehand that it probably all was a waste but I also figured "what they hell, play the numbers and see what happens". The very first thing I did was set up a special Yahoo email account to be used solely for the purpose of answering those ads. That way if it wound up getting spammed I could easily walk away. The second thing I did was to ask the poster to use my (fake) name I gave them in the body of their reply. Then I setup a filter directing any email that didn't include that name to a special junk folder I set up. That way I could more or less distinguish between regular Spam, simple auto-bot responses to my e-mail, and e-mail more likely sent by a human being. Only then did I start answering ads.
The results were interesting and pretty much like Speedracer said, mostly come-ons to join webcam sites, dating sites, sites to verify you or with "more info on her) that were supposedly completely free (usually 3 day trial memberships that automatically renewed into expensive monthly ones and which required you to enter your cc#). Obviously, I was smart enough not to fall for any of that. None of them included any phone number in the ad, and most didn't even include a phone number in their reply. Many (maybe half) didn't reply at all, though I'm sure some of the Spam I got later was the result of the email address they harvested out of my response. I also noticed that many of them did not seem to be Tampa area, like Speed said, so I started to also ask the poster what part of the area they lived (or looked for ads that included Tampa area specific info in it). I'd say 90% of the responses were obviously of the auto-reply nature, and most of those were caught by my auto-filter. I read some of those to see what sort of responses and scams I was getting but didn't respond to any of them. Ninety percent of the rest seemed to be more personal responses but still seemed pretty fishy. I responded to a select few of those which did not come right out and ask me to join any sites, but eventually in the course of 1 or 2 e-mails back, the real pitch came out. I hadn't checked that box in a while but I just looked and and found about 50 messages from the last month that went to my special Spam folder and nothing that made it through to my in-box.
Now the good news, I actually hooked up with one of the advertisers, a really hot looking 27yo spinner from a trailer park in Riverview. She was looking for a FWB deal with an older guy for some kicks and a little pocket change (as I recall I gave her something like $100-$150 for a couple of hours play). The kinky part was that she was married and her husband got off on the idea of other guys doing his wife. He'd wait in the other room (probably listening in) and liked to go down on his wife after I left to clean up the mess. I saw her many times over the course of a few months before they moved out of the area. The only cost apart from what I gave her for sessions was maybe 2-3 hours doing the setup, sending out basically stock responses to maybe 100 ads and responding to a handful of them.
So, it is mostly all scams, if you try it you should be very careful what info you give out, but it is possible you might score if you answer enough ads.

When Phoenixxx was providing, I don't think it got any better.
