Those lured to the room Thursday were asking between $150 and $500, based upon their code-speak.
Authorities said Jennifer Elizabeth Tullinger, 20, of Winter Haven, a DCF employee, advertised on the Web site with a graphic photo and a photo of her face.
Her first question to deputies upon discovering she was in a sting: "Are my kids going to be taken away?"
She was charged with solicitation and deriving proceeds from prostitution. Jarod Dion Corbett, 22, of Lakeland waited in a car and told deputies he gets a $50 cut from Tullinger's work; he was charged with deriving proceeds as well.
"Most prostitutes know we have to do things in a certain way," said a technical detective working the recording equipment. "But we have greed on our side. People see that money and they lose their reason."
Authorities said they are more concerned with getting to the root of the escort operations than they are with individual women. They said they expect further arrests as they go after escort services and pimps.

What is scary is how organized this scammer is. I've tried to post a scam warning ad on CL in the Lakeland ERS section TWICE, and it never shows up. I suspect the scammers are getting the post flagged and binned immediately to keep the suckers from being warned.

CHICAGO - A federal judge has thrown out a lawsuit aimed at driving classified ads for prostitution off the Craigslist Web site.
U.S. District Court Judge John Grady said not all postings on the Craigslist "Adult Services" section advertised prostitution and that other services could legitimately appear there.
"A woman advertising erotic dancing for male clients is offering an adult service, yet this is not prostitution," he said in a 31-page opinion Tuesday.
He said such an ad "might even be entitled to some limited protection under the First Amendment" to the U.S. Constitution.
Note: Federal Court decision. Precedent has been set.

the District Court and in another appellate circuit than here. That makes it nothing more than persuasive authority. So your "precedent" celebration is a bit premature.
Nonetheless, it is certainly a sign of good things and that some judges still pay attention to the Constitution.

Caught an ad for a girl in Lakeland on CL. As I'm in Zephyrhills and far away from Tampa, I figured I'd give it a try. Texted Kream and made an appointment for the afternoon.
