Fake pics I am perfectly fine with, to be honest. I'm probably rare at this, though. I never really trust the photo in the first place because I know one can work magic with a between lighting, makeup, etc.
Just would be interested in a review or her ad with her supposed real photo.

I saw her too, about a year ago, as an incall. The photos flatter her. although if she had an inch worth of personality her so-so looks wouldn't matter. She took two phone calls while I was there, right after I arrived -- no hurry to start, I thought, so maybe she won't be in a hurry to finish -- but then she tried to get me out of her hotel room within two minutes. Thirty seconds of a mic check and then onto the main course. Not even a pretense of a smile -- this is not a gal looking for repeat biz. When I resisted the bum's rush she sighed heavily, as if she'd already spent an hour "at work" instead of five minutes.
A few months later she was running a different ad, different hotel, and when I walked in I recognized her right away. I acted like I'd left something in the car, supposedly about a block away, but I was going to return once I retrieved what I'd forgotten ($$$). I hope she turned away a couple of calls expecting me to return.
It would still have been a major rip-off if it was half the $$$ and double the time.
Just got back from vacation. With Adobe’s and Troutman’s advice, obviously I won’t be trying this one on for size. Thanks guys.

Craigslist doesn't have a Connecticut - Other Areas section. It is divided into Hartford, New Haven, Eastern, Northwest, and Fairfield Counties. Presumably anything other than the 12 municipalities and 2 indian casinos with USASexGuide threads are fair game here, This covers a lot of territory, including the CL ad with the above heading.
The submitter of this ad changes the heading frequently, probably to avoid undue attention by LE. In that spirit I'll reserve the contact details to PMs from senior members with quality posts.
The Craigslist advertiser posts a photo which changes often as well. I think it is a stock professional glamour photo and not one of the actual girls. The girl I had today looked even better than the ad photos though.
I saw a goodlooking asian lady with a pizza behind me who hung back when I stopped and pushed the buzzer. I hoped she worked here. She whetted my appetite before the door even opened. Yeah, there are tons of them and now they leave out the -'s or .'s
They stand out because the text doesn't run across the whole window as they have somehow automated or are "cut-pasting" the crap.
I flag them.
There are a bunch of others that if you select entire ad text with the mouse you will see that they have jumbles of words after the end of the visible text that are miniscule and white so they are not seen.
This get's them past the "duplicate posting" checks that are done when they are posted. Sure sign of spam.

Called & made an appointment with Shyann for Saturday late morning. Drove to NB early to scope out the area, having been given good directions over the phone (cute voice). I found the drive up from Stanley St. To be a bit rough, but the street itself looked almost suburban, save the Mexican rap blaring from a window somewhere.
Then I drove around a bit, because I was early. Got breath mints at Walgreens, that kind of thing. Heart beating fast 'cause AMPs are pretty much the riskiest I get.
Then at the arranged time I drove back to the street. Parked across from the building and tried to remember what I'the read on this site. One fairly good review from Gordon Bennet. I had looked at his other posts and found what seemed to be good reliable reports.
But I had made a rule for myself: I had to read at least reports from two different frequently posting senior members before I trusted a CL ad. This is, admittedly, kind of a bullshit rule, but who wants to be in a sting--a double dose of paranoia won't kill me, will it?
Craned my neck and two cars in back of the building looked vaguely like cop-type cars and that was all it took. I scooted. Bad form, I know, but I couldn't call 'cause I'the already taken the number out of my phone for privacy's sake.
I offer this report as a testament to the wuss that I am. This is why I report infrequently, and occasionally plead--to no avail, sadly, with our esteemed Senior Members--for phone numbers.
My next shot is Angelina, maybe, though reports are so-so. No reports mention the quality of the lollipop, unfortunately. Maybe I can go there and not be freaked out. Or maybe I can trust Gordon's report and actually try Shyann--those new pictures are. Let's face it. Adorable.
Stan, Stan, Stan. You have to realize that senior members have as much reason to be paranoid about you as you are about those possible cop cars. You have to show your bona fides before you can be trusted. To quote the Mighty Zim "To live outside the law, you must be honest. You always say that you agree".
Speaking just for myself, a post like "I almost saw someone today" doesn't really demonstrate anything.
So let me ask: Did you call to tell her you weren't coming? No call no shows are VERY bad form. You'd want the same consideration, right? On the off chance this girl is legitimate, don't you think you should treat her with the same respect you'd like? Honesty means communication, even when you're bailing.

If that's your rule, and you only read one post before, why did you make the appointment in the first place? You have a rule, you violate it by making the appointment, then follow your rule ONLY after you go to all the trouble of driving there and sitting outside for a while?

Stan, I feel your pain. The first time is always a challenge. It's like diving into the deep end of the pool for the 1st time when you were a kid. Some kids just dove in. Never thought twice about it. Others stand there frozen with fear for a while. Some eventually get the nerve, others never actually jump in. I hear what you are saying, and can relate in some ways...but JMG is quite correct. You have to develop your own intuition and instincts a bit...but in the process, you have risks. Manage your risks as best you can, so that you don't take so many, but risks you will have to take.
We've all had the fear of the trying someone out new. Its a good fear to have.
If you want some recommendations, you might want to research for yourself, and then ask here if anyone has any experiences. I, for one, don't post everything out there any more. I don't want the exposure cause people have f'd me over in the past. Others experience, but never post at all, cause hey, its their perogative. But they may consider if you post up and ask. PMs to me don't go far unless I see some posts and experiences. However, if one like yourself TOFFT, you get a sympathetic ear...even if its a bad experience.
BTW...I am glad you posted about your aborting. We've all had instances where we aborted...or wished we did. A call would have been good, as others have stated. It sours the milk for all when you cancel like that without a call. Without a doubt, someone paid the price in poor service or attitude because of you not taking a moment to call...even now.

Sorry for your experience Stan. I posted originally on Shyann and I too had concerns, although more to do with my own personal safety and that of my vehicle in such a suspect area. I walked by gangs of dudes shooting off fireworks and to this day I question my sanity on leaving my car nearby. As for the experience with Shyann, trust me, it was worth the anxiety, though I have not repeated. Would not hesitate though if outcall were an option at some point, she's a real sweetheart.
