FWIW, I thought Glockman's review was nothing less than absolutely positive. The green stuff statement did give me reason to pause, but other than that, I didn't see anything less than a whole bunch of praise. I do think he meant well. I politely told her that it sounded too much like a scam and I wasn't risking it, and would just keep fucking the Memphis regulars who don't ID me and require credit card numbers.

Any thoughts?Definitely a scam. There are lots of craigslist ads that are meant for you to sign up for some kind of site. They get paid a comission for each signup. Scammy way to make money.

I have always found a girl to work with me in what I was offering especially when I got ready to turn her deal down and walk.

I hail from the New England area, and generally play the game up there, but ran across this post and thought I'd chime in, since I have actual experience with this....
I came across the exact same type of CL ad, answered, and began talking with the "girl" via IM, just like you. Her pic was pretty, she was attentive, and I even tested her to see if she had any local knowledge (to ascertain whether she was actually nearby or not). She passed everything.
Then on to negotiations... Same type of story about the webcam CC verification thing. Her story was that as soon as she saw my trial registration go through she would know that I wasn't LE and that she'd IM me her phone number, and we'd talk and make plans to meet up right away. She also said that she'd discount her rate by the amount of the trial registration fee and that after "confirmation" I would be free to cancel my webcams.com account.
I "knew" it was a scam, but for some reason wanted to go down the rabbit hole and see where this all led. I took a CC that I never use, signed up per her instruction, and once she saw the registration come through -- *poof* NOT EVEN ONE SINGLE PEEP FROM HER EVER AGAIN! She just completely disappeared and stopped talking on IM... Just as I thought, but now I know for sure <hits self over head with baseball bat> :rolleyes:
Directly afterward, I called webcam.com customer service, explained what happened and with which webcam model, and they happily and instantly canceled my account and refunded the trial membership charge... I think they see this type of thing a lot.
I have no idea why I even bothered with this -- just out of curiosity, I guess.... I've been mongering long enough and definitely know better.
But there you go... this is how the scams work. They're only designed to earn someone commissions on webcams.com (or similar site's) trial memberships.
Beware pussy that's too good to be true!

I think they see this type of thing a lotMy suspicion is that they're the instigators of the scam. If you yell and griped to them, they just cancel the account/refund your money, no biggie. If you don't, then they've just pocketed your payment, minus the fee to the "recruiter".

Ok, I know I'm new but I'll stick my neck out after getting some PM advice from some of the Seniors.

Guess I am going against the previous majority here but I had a good experience and I figured I'd post it.

This is very true. I never meet a new provider unless the 1st visit is an outcall. I do this for the sake of LE and possible rob or cash and dash. I get a motel instead of a hotel too. That way I can open the window and see who is at my door and see who is waiting in the parking lot. Its about staying out of jail and having complete control of your environment. It"s less likely someone will come to your room and start shit that you can"t handle if you have your own room.

Trinity SnowThats why selective providers often ask for references. LEO probably wouldn't bother if you put up resistance in that regard, as they want easy, quick setups. Also, some girls require 24 hours notice for a date, which would also deter LEO, as, again, I'm virtually certain they only want the quick, same day (within a few hours of the call) busts. My general thoughts are that the only ones getting busted are the ones that don't ask for real references and that do dates with virtually no notice (showing up at the outcall within a 2 or 3 hours of the call).
If you required 24 hours notice for new clients (well, at least new ones that aren't know here or on other boards) then I think that would do a lot to protect you. I know that could make some people mad (the inability to get same-day dates) and be a bit inconvenient but it would make it safer, IMO. If I'm wrong on either of these points, someone can feel free to speak up, as its important from the hobbyist perspective as well.

Alright gentleman I need to let you all hear about some recent dreams of mine.
