Well well, I just had a very enjoyable afternoon at Fun City, so here's a report from someone who's never been to an AMP in America before.

If you are at a place like FC where they try to accommodate the customers, it is best to report any problems to the Mamasan. If you are at a place like FC where they try to accommodate the customers, it is best to report any problems to the Mamasan. Sounds like Dallas' attitude was a bit of a problem. I was in the Lansdale area this morning on business when I got the itch. I should have waited till I got back in the city, but sometimes you just have to scratch. Hit CL for something in the area, and stopped in at the Sun. Put off at first as they have a hair dresser's stand in the waiting area, but who am I to judge. They are the ones trying to keep Uncle Leo off of their back. I am met by a large woman, and thinking that this is mamasan, I go back with her. It turns out that she is the only person working. Pink is a sure thing. I've seen three different providers here and they have all been fulfilling. They have one, not so pretty provider, but mamasan is willing to bring a lineup if necessary. Lisa is the best all around. Fake top, and petite body. Probably 5'0". She's probably the oldest too at 30-35. Coco is great, but her top needs work and she is soft in the middle, probably 25. When I was in town a few weeks ago I found the City Paper plus another one PW, maybe, Philadelphia weekly? Anyway different places had ads in one or the other. I was also concerned because I arrived on a Tuesday and most weeklies come out on Thursday, so I thought the boxes might be empty, but I had no trouble finding issues of either paper.
When you get into town pick up a free Citypaper from the street box and give your choice a call before you go.

Thanks for the feedback (and all the previous reports). Here's my report in turn:
I was downtown so decided to take the walk up to spring garden to check out fc/blue moon/pink. I like taking things on foot anyways, just to get the lay of the land. The area is easy to find, but I have to say where pink is is a little sketchy. Lots of guys hanging around, sitting on steps and the curb. But it is easy to find and I like how you can walk in and up the stairs and be off the street before ringing the bell and getting buzzed in. So just as a warning, if you're headed over there, the street's not the nicest, so be on edge, but I don't know if it's necessarily unsafe.
Checked out the address for fc and blue moon, but they were at unmarked doors (except for the street number) and didn't want to be trying out locked doorknobs with guys hanging around. I would have called, but I didn't have my monger phone on and didn't write down any numbers. So I circled back to pink and went upstaris.

I'm a late night monger. I've frequented Race St. AMPs very late at night and never even been approached. It can be intimidating, esp with a wad of $ in your pocket. There are 3 hotels within that area: Hampton, Sheraton, and I think a Travelodge. If push comes to shove I just figure I can make it to one of these places in a hurry, or flag down a cab.
You have to figure these guys are broken down. They aren't the street thugs that are actually motivated to take action.
As I've posted elsewhere. The 18xx Ludlow AMPs are right behind the Crown Plaza, in a safe area. Cloud 9 is in a populated area. Osaka is right next to Five Guys on Chestnut. Funcity is just in an unpopulated area. I've never seen anyone on Cherry by 1010.

Woman found dead in Center City massage parlor
Inquirer Staff Report
Police are investigating the death of a woman inside an illegal massage parlor in Center City.
Officers went to 813 Sansom St. about 9:50 p.m. Sunday after Delaware County's 911 center received a call from a phone booth in the county reporting a problem at the Philadelphia address, police said.
The door was locked and the officers received no response from inside.
After getting inside, they found the body of a woman, about 35 years old, in a bed on the second floor of the building, police said. A Kosher restaurant with a separate entrance is on the ground floor.
Medics pronounced her dead at 9:57 p.m.
Investigators found no signs of foul play and are awaiting the results of an autopsy.

When channel 6 stated "compromised immune system" I kinda thought the same as everyone else, however, the disease is resultant from immune system hyperactivity, in a similar way to Lupus.
I'd venture to say that it had been left untreated for no less than a year. About $20.00 worth of prednisone would have at least helped to make her comfortable. The sad thing is that while the disease is usually fatal (in the long term), it can be managed to the point that an improved quality of life can be obtained for around a hundred per month, and those around her didn't care enough to help.

The 911 call was placed from the Burger King on Baltimore Pike in Morton Delaware County, which according to MAPQUEST is 21 miles from the massage parlor. A fellow employee would have no reason to travel that far away before calling for help. I have been going to AMPs for close to 30 years and many times there was only 1 person there when I arrived. AMPs, like all businesses, know what times of the week they will be busy and when they will be slow and adjust the employees schedules accordingly. Although at most AMPs the girls work AND live there, there are some exceptions.
None of us know if she was seeing a doctor for her condition or if she was using some hollistic methods. Neither scenerio would preclude her from having a medical emergency, which she obviously did have, and someone who didn't want the cops to know they were there left that woman there to die and did not call for help until they were far from the scene. As I stated before, we have no way of knowing if she would have lived had she received medical attention earlier, but the right thing to do would have been to call for help immediately, not wait until approx. 30 minutes later (MAPQUEST time).

People who are involved in illegal activities, do not always think right in a emergency situation. You add into the situation that the employees/mamasan are from a different culture and would probably not feel comfortable taking her somewhere and endangering themselves.

Delaware County authorities have busted an alleged brothel in Drexel Hill and arrested two women on prostitution charges.
KYW’s Mark Abrams reports Upper Darby Police Superintendent Michael Chitwood says cops were tipped by neighbors and a flyer printed from the Internet about daytime activities at a home in the 2200 block of Ardmore Avenue.
Chitwood says an undercover officer was sent into the home and paid $180 for a massage, during which he was offered sexual favors. He declined, but agreed to return the next day.
Chitwood says when the officer came back and paid his money and negotiated a tip with the so-called masseuse, police moved in:
“Prior to becoming involved in type of sexual activity, we hit the location with a search warrant and we placed two ladies under arrest.”
Margaret Dougherty, 41, who lived in the home, and Amy Prudish, 38, of Riegelsville, were charged with prostitution and related offenses. Both are free on bail.
Chitwood says investigators also confiscated three notebooks showing client names, dates of services and amounts paid, as well as handgun a rifle, a computer and cell phones.

Those three are the trifecta for sure. Depending on the length of your stay and your stamina, thats likely all you need. The European joints are very hit or miss - stay with the names you mentioned.

Any thoughts?I think, in years of reading these boards, that the consensus is that the Russian run establishments are more likely hit or miss than your average AMP. So yes, your impressions appear to be spot on. I both cases it is likely the ladies aren't their by their free will or are paying off an "immigration debt" of some sort. In that case, default to the ones that tend to have cultural influences that are deferential or geared to pleasing.
Oh not to say, all RMPs are bad or all AMPs are good. Far from it.
Always Asian for me. I have never had a decent experience at a Russian or similar establishment, but the Asian places, IMHO, are generally good to great! I just wish the great Asian girls would stick around for a while. Seems like they come and go in a flash! I still need to try out the New Orange place on 5th. Any recent great experiences there?

You can leave.
It's been tough in general to get lineups these days because with a few workers it's just not possible. Not rotating causes problems for the girls because only one or two get customers.
You can always ask if more girls are available. If they say no then politely excuse yourself and head for the door. More choices may suddenly appear. They do have a business to run and rotation is part of that business.

To say the location is discrete is an understatement however. As mentioned, call and ask for directions and make an appointment. I found that mamasan far prefers that. FC is a very special place. During one visit, mamasan insisted on washing and pressing my shirt during the session because I had a coffee spill on it. Based on my experience (and I'm quite familiar with Philly's "lay of the land", as it were) , that would rather be unusual. I never had to phone as far back as I remember (and it's been quite some time). The only few times I did call a place was to make sure they would still be open when I knew I'd be there late.

As far as car safety, I drive a pretty expensive European sedan and never felt it was in jeopardy of vandalism or theft, especially bearing in mind you're typically there only about an hour+, right? I have visited at all kind of crazy times (including Sunday 9 am, Friday at 9 pm, you name it) and never detected any patterns. Be safe and have fun. FC is a special place!
BTW - there is no signage at all - make sure you know the number and ring the buzzer and you will be buzzed in. Your only option is upstairs.

I go late, after Midnight. Parking will be easier late and I haven't seen any unsavories. I walk mostly and I'm not a big fucker like GutsAndGlory. No one has ever even approached me. I think you should be fine. Gas Station is well lit. Spaghetti Warehouse place is around the corner.

I'd seen a new place advertising on Backpage and thought I'd give it a try. The ad said early morning, late night. When I called, there was no answer but they called back a few minutes later. ThanksWinner Winner Chicken Dinner. Those are the two best choices in town IMHO, so I would say on any given day, one could be better than the other. I think that FC overall has better looking girls, but Pink has some real gems, just fewer of them. I like that I can usually find a parking spot near FC and Pink requires a few bucks.
Been at both early and late - I find early is more relaxed. Late attracts the drunks and the girls are more on-guard.

Anyone have some advise of a good all around place?Based on my experience, I think this depends more on the girl than the place. So, if I had any special preferences, I'd talk to mamasan beforehand. My overall experience has been that the massage part tends to be close to (or entirely) perfunctory, though there's been some exceptions, including getting MORE than I would have liked. But I can't remember any place-specific patterns. Over time, they all are about the same in that respect: unpredictable, differing from time to time. I'd suggest to talk, make your wishes known. As long as they're reasonable, I think ALL places will try to accommodate. 'course it's just my experience.

Generally I'd say if one has one shot at an AMP in CC Philly, their best bet is to pick FC. Odds are that will be a good experience. But do yourself a favor. Review the procedures there until you have them down as second nature. Take a good look at the line up in their website. Then call Mamasan and 'make love' to her on the phone and ask for an appointment with your selected girl. Then show up 5-minutes early for your appointment, remind Mama of your fun telephone conversation. You'll be taken care of. Now, that said, if something goes horribly wrong or for some reason you are not happy, grab yer balls and talk to Mamasanon the way out. Explain to her what your issue is / was and politely suggest a solution. If your suggested "fix" is a reasonable one, she probably will accommodate you on the spot.

Ok, well, I was in town a few weeks ago for the Relays, staying in Center City, and got the mongering itch. I've AMPed in Philly before, but it was 3-4 years ago. I knew a few places had closed, but the scene still had plenty going for it.
I had no wheels and honestly didn't really know where I was relative to the best AMPs. Looked at the BP ads and was pleased to see this one within very easy walking distance.

Most places aren't really advertising, but they are still there. The supply of talent and even demand is down, but Philly is still pretty good.

Then the fun was finding a LEGAL parking place. Walked about 4 blocks to get back there. Place was dirty and services poor so I walked.
Best bet is make an phone appointment with Funcity and catch a cab there. They'll call a cab to take you home too.

If you have only one shot at AMPs in CC Philly then FC is your best bet. It is the most consistent for good experiences. That does not mean you are guaranteed a great time, however. Plenty of things a monger can do to screw things up or perhaps someone is having an off day. You can always call ahead and discuss your selection with mamasan, then perhaps get a better idea of who is working and available. Don't be afraid to mention that you want particular things, if missing those items would diminish your experience. Ya need to trust that at a place like FC they want to see you come back and will try to match your needs. [might make sense to not mention you are from out of town, or if you do that you come frequently and are looking for a regular place]
It depends WHERE you are staying downtown for what the cab fare will be and how long. My guess is anywhere from $5 to $20. Of course how long depends on if you are staring out at 10AM or 5PM since CC traffic can be tough at times. That said. 10-15 minutes should get you around CC Philly no matter where you are staying during light traffic times.

A WOMAN'S leg was broken and several other people were injured Saturday night when a large group of teens accosted pedestrians in Spring Garden, police and witnesses said.
Philadelphia police responded to two reports of pedestrians being assaulted by a large group of young people along Broad Street about 9:30 pm.
According to the police report of the incident, the victim was "jumped" by 30 to 40 men who punched and kicked her numerous times. Police said they checked the area for surveillance but had no luck.
Shortly before the victim's assault, police said, they responded to another assault, about five blocks away. Of a 20-year-old man who said that he was attacked by a large group of men and women. .
Twitter users said that the mob ranged from 50 to 100 people and that participants not only assaulted people but also threw trash cans and lit fireworks.Maybe not Beirut, but so what. So I don't get into PHL as much as I would like, but I have been there several times since July of last year.
