Thanx for giving DAVEY1965 props, so I officially apologize to u. There was nothing unusual about her demener. She wasn't wacked out, friendly as usual and totally lucid. As a longtime user of The Carlyle Hotel for fun and frolic, I regret to inform you that they have raised their hourly rate from $15 to $20.

Ran into Tiffany last Tuesday 4/29/08. I was out cruising the K late that morning, around 10:00 AM. I saw a WSW (not that appealling) however decided to do the right turns to pull up along side of her.

Spotted Nikky and Tiffany sitting around this past weekend but thought I would cruise the avenue to see if anything was new. The Liberty Hotel is on Germantown Avenue above Allegheny. I have never been inside. From the outside it looks like a dump. The neighborhood surrounding the Liberty appears promlematic but it is most likely no worst then that around the “K.”

The Carlisle Hotel is on Poplar St, between 15th and 16th Streets. Again, I have never been inside. The outside was recently remodeled. Looking at the area outside and it seems at a glance, safer then most. There is a rehab center on one corner and a large operating church on the other.

There is another, hourly rate hotel near 52nd street, a few blocks south of Girard Avenue. The Blue Moon Hotel was a favorite of mind in my youth. The rooms were clean and the sheets changed after each visit. On a few occasions, when our time was up, we were met at the room door by a lady/maid ready to come in and clean the room. However, this was a lot of years ago and things may have changed. The neighborhood outside is the least scary of those that I have mentioned.

Because I have my own place to visit in the city, I have no need to visit the area short stay places. When I am in NJ, I avoid the trip back to my place by going to one of the short stay places off of Rt. 130. I know a few guys travel from the “K.” to NJ with their dates. All things considered, it’s may possibly be the best idea to travel to NJ. The rates are competitive and the time (3hrs) is better.

If you’ll agree to meet with me, the problem is solved – we’ll go back to my place.

It you take, for example room 108, off to the right and around the corner, you leave yourself more open to junkies breaking in and robbing you. Next to Wallingford, Ed Norton has probably made the most posts about actual SWs among CJs critics and he didn't make very many. BTW I see Norton seems to be spending time in San Diego these days, home of our old friend Hizark.

It's hard for me to believe that anybody who actually does this stuff for real (picks up SWs) could not love CJ's contributions. Like Davey and a few others, I have posted hundreds of pickup reports over the years. But I've tapered off on my reporting lately too. Some of it is because I'm doing a bit less mongering, but the other reason is as Davey says the garbage, pointlessly antagonistic posts like the one by Coconut Puke just make this an unpleasant place to hang out.

I cruised the K Thursday and although the weather was perfect, there weren't too many girls out between 7:30 and 8. I took a break and went back out around 9. I visited Broadway and K in the very early morning just as it started turning light. There were very few girls out on either stroll. On two passes I saw a familiar looking, kind of cute young brunette walking near Cumberland w/ what looked like a thickish LSW who was wearing her hair in a ponytail. I couldn't quite place the brunette but I think I've either dated her or maybe just seen photos CJ took. • The hotel name is C-A-R-L-Y-L-E, unlike the name given by the previous poster.

• It is located between Broad and 15th Streets, unlike the incorrect information given by the previous poster.

• It is not necessarily safer than most, unlike the guess of the previous poster. It's a drug user's haven. It you take, for example room 108, off to the right and around the corner, you leave yourself more open to junkies breaking in and robbing you. The desk clerks know this and almost always assign 103 and 104, which are right down the corridor from the front desk.

• The Liberty is not a dump, despite the belief of the previous poster. The rooms are plain, but nice enough, and unlike the other hotels mentioned, have a bath with each room. Last known price was $35/night.

• A K Avenue regular told me the Liberty no longer accepts hourly clients. I would believe her over someone who never went inside, like the previous poster.

Been a long time since I've seen Katie, can't even remember how long. From
what I remember though always a good time with her. Come to think of it

Now the brunette Kate is a friggin fixture of DD like the Rocky statue

Unfortunately Philly is lacking any quality hotels close to the hunting grounds.
You have the Patio and Carlysle for short time. If you go to the Landing or Center City you are paying a premium and depending what sw'er you pick
up you may not want to parade her through the lobby.
The best access would be either the Hub on US1 which is about 65 a night or one of the hotels across the bridge. None are even 1 star hotels but are safe
and reasonably clean. The problem with the Jersey Motels is that most
girls are afraid of crossing the bridge with you and if they do they want
a premium. THey feel if they get stranded in Jersey is a royal pain to get
back whereas in Philly they could just hop on a bus and be back in no
time at all.

I was amazed how many girls were on the K this evening around 6:30 pm. I counted four WSWs between the car dealership on Pike to Castor, and another four between Castor and Venango. Plus there was another across the street, perched on the stoop at the bus stop at Kenzo & Castor. Two were not bad looking, but honestly I rarely stop on Kenzo Ave to pick up a girl during daylight hours. It's much safer to have her turn the corner at Pike or Buckius and meet her on Jasper. Sadly, the two better looking ones were too far from this area. I didn't travel south of Tioga, but I imagine there were more girls in that direction. I'll spare you all my literary stylings, I've only popped up because my curiosity's been piqued. Have a question for my fellow seniors or anyone else who might be privy to the high-level intel I'm looking for.

I was on a date with Britney last night. I could go on for pages with examples of why I and others don't love those contributions. Suffice it to say the pictures are great; I think that's what you really are talking about. But the sex "stories" are exaggerated and boring and obviously written to create a macho image. The "opinions" are boring and silly (Did you catch the weighty ponderings about taking/not taking a gun out on mongering trips, or shaved/not shaved pussy, or fat/not fat asses? ), and the "information" is outdated and, apparently, inaccurate.

I think the point critics are making is that this thread is for legit SW reports. That will happen if the writer will show some self-restraint and contain his contributions to his eponymous thread.And his epic tour de force of 5/11/08, where he actually regurgitates what he's read on the fucking forum:

• The hotel name is C-A-R-L-Y-L-E, unlike the name given by the previous poster.

• It is located between Broad and 15th Streets, unlike the incorrect information given by the previous poster.

• It is not necessarily safer than most, unlike the guess of the previous poster. It's a drug user's haven. It you take, for example room 108, off to the right and around the corner, you leave yourself more open to junkies breaking in and robbing you. The desk clerks know this and almost always assign 103 and 104, which are right down the corridor from the front desk.

• The Liberty is not a dump, despite the belief of the previous poster. The rooms are plain, but nice enough, and unlike the other hotels mentioned, have a bath with each room. Last known price was $35/night.

And what do you get when you look at other reports that I've posted? Nothing even APPROACHING the brilliance and utility of this fine - no, exemplary - individual, who should serve as an inspiration to us all. Truly a fine author - in fact, I heard James Lipton is looking to interview him.

Coconut Poke is typical of why I retired from posting a year ago, and why I'm doing so again after this one - I really only wanted to see if I could get some information after giving so much in the past, and as usual all you get is useless trolls giving you a hard time. It was annoying last year, no less so now. Since it hasn't gotten any better, I'll go back from whence I came (in CP's mom).

As soon as he made his first couple of posts, telling others what to do and where to post, I looked back to see who and what he was -- and I'm sure many others did too -- and we all found exactly what you did. Of course I shrugged him off as the village idiot to be ignored but you have a special reason to feel offended. Not only did he come after you (and unecessarily) but he proved the worst of this forum: That the village idiots are obsessively jealous of the most valueable contributors. Witness as well the attacks on the venerable Cooky Jar. I want to add that I was glad to see you return here for a bit and it pained me to see how quickly the lowest of the low went after you and Davey (two top notch contributors). I stopped and picked up a WSW named lisa below lehigh around where kerry and jackie usually hang out (I think hardon or something). Well I ended up kicking her out she smelled so bad omg her feet in her shoes stunk. Not to mention her skin looked like crap so after I kicked her out (but she was cute the girl needs a shower bad) after that I circled back around and I seen 3 leo's and one wagon with I think Caity (cj's find) in the back seat at the same location I met lisa. I ended up walking past the leo's car on foot and it looked exactly like her. Well I ended up cruising down kensington near allegany and I ran into Jessica, 25 year old WSW (italian) from lansdale, 5'3", 115 lbs, shoulder length brown hair. She had a pink shirt on and jeans and a large tan purse. It took a few attempts but I got her to come into the car finally. Cruised the K on Monday and Wednesday nights. There was a huge LE presence on both nights. Wednesday was probably heavier though.

Monday:

Saw a few WSW's near Venango, but none of them suited me. Saw a few other girls scattered around the K but everytime I tried for the scoop LE was to close.

Wednesday:

Anyway, I saw Sabrina up near the Church's however everytime I circled back she was gone already.

Saw a BSW walking up the K after Venango but she wouldn't stop for anyone. She kept giving the line that I turned her down earlier.

The heat of last Friday was subsiding and the coolness of the evening beckoned me to Kensington Avenue. Surely at dusk, with the hordes out to spend their weekly earnings, there would be a wide selection of morsels for me to choose from. Well, at least the short, cute, wsws that I prefer.

They were not to be found.

So off to dinner, some wine, and some music. But wait, life is all about "wine, women, and song". I had to go back to get that second component. A slight buzz helped me in this conviction.

No sooner did I return and enter the 7-11 (you know which one) for a 3-pack of LifeStyles, then short curly redheaded Nicole walks in, looking fairly bedraggled. As I go to hug her, she walks right past me right to the ice cream freezer and picks out TWO chocolate ones. Yes, she did acknowledge me, but appeared to be in a stupor. Up to the counter where she fumbled with her change until a gallant person, yours truly, saved her with a couple of bucks.

To make a long story short, we jumped in the car, fended off some junkie she had been with, and headed towards the Carlyle. Nicole really didn't want to go there and suggested the cemetery. (How many of you have gotten your rocks off there? It's kind of cool.) The cops don't go there, she said; yes but people live in a house there who have a telephone, I said.

Then I remembered our last encounter at D______'s [name protected] house on Cornwall Street. Some regulars here may have had the pleasure of using her $10 room, just steps from the Avenue. Nicole calls her "Mom" and she yelled out for her from the front steps. After FIVE minutes Mom finally answered, or rather a slender woman 1/2 her age did. After the lights came on, it turned out to be straight-haired redheaded Nicole, or "Nicky" to my Nicole. I've been with them both, so there was jollity and surprise all around. Only grumpy Mom said she didn't know me. Oh well, she got my $10.

Now for $50 more here's what I got: Nicole stressing about there being no light in the room. Nicole trying to open the Venetian blinds and pulling them to the floor. Nicole opening the connecting door to the room where Nicky was staying, who could now hear us. Nicole almost stepping on one of Mom's three kittens. Nicole spreading her legs and giving me, surprisingly, a pretty good lay. She was moist, she was friendly, albeit a bit incoherent, and she sure didn't rush me.

Well, we began dressing and the telltale sign of someone who's high (on just crack, but not heroin?) appeared: she got on all fours and began picking at the carpet looking for specks of her poison. I had been through that in my car several times with dear departed Angie, so I wasn't going to stick around.

What the hell. I got what I paid for. I bade goodbye to Nicky. Mom said, isn't this a noisy neighborhood, as pre-4th of July firecrackers went off. Or were they gun shots? My car was still there. I smelled terrible, from Nicole's cheap perfume or BO.

And I can't wait for my next adventure into wine, women, and song.

Was on my way out last night about 530 and spotted a car at the underpass on 95 right by the old diamond furniture. I'm sure you are all familiar with the place. Anyway, I saw a guy sitting in the back seat of a minivan. Obviously enjoying himself. The cops rolled up on him and he was taken out of the car. I pulled over to check it out to see if I knew the girl but didn't. They were both standing outside the car and the guy was buttoning up. Every once in awhile somebody on this board decides to mention where they parked. That's a bad idea. Sure LE knows the location of many of our favorite spots but publicizing them only leads to more mongers using that spot which can increase LE heat. The underpass area has been mentioned several times on this board over the years. Don't make it so easy for them, like catching fish in a barrel. Save comments about specific parking spots for PMs or don't talk about it at all.

Picked up Maria for the first time this past Saturday, as there was not much else out in the sweltering heat. Anyway, going by the previous posts and pictures with Sabrina from a year or so ago, thought I would try it out although she is about 30-40 pounds heavier than in any of the pictures. Guess the heat drove all the decent ones away this weekend.

Got a chance to sample Philly's finest last night – this is one of my favorite cities! I made the K-ave loop several times between 7:30 & 9:30, stopping a few times between for coffee/soda.

There were a few out on my first few passes, but no real quality. I spotted a cute little spinner in a sun dress that made me loop back. Her name was Lisa and when she got close enough to speak with, she was obviously sick. You could count each of her ribs through her dress. I actually felt sorry for her, especially when she was still out waiting to be picked up hours later when I headed home. Still, so many reasons to pass on her that I moved on.

Around 9, I finally saw Stacy near the bull car dealer. She looked fantastic from the street – and not too bad up close, although older than I initially thought. She's probably mid-thirties, about 5'6”, 120#, shoulder length dark hair and a tight body. We found a nice quite spot and she gave me a great pipe cleaning for .3. She had excellent technique and took direction well. Even though it was kind of hot in the car, she kept going as long as it took without complaint. I'd definitely repeat.

Murphy's Law was in effect – the REAL cuties came out as soon as I dropped off Stacy at DD (btw, she jumped into a black car with some dude – he'd been sitting there for over an hour). I saw a young, tall, slim girl that was at least an 8 on the civilian scale strolling at the east end of K. I just can't re-load that fast anymore.

In addition to Murphy's, there were a ton of other laws being enforced. I saw several cars pulled over, but my impression was they were being hassled for traffic reasons rather than for being caught in the act. I also saw some goober that was so focused on a sw crossing a side street that he rear-ended a van. I've always worried about doing that myself.

I'd strongly suggest looking into how long you should wait before getting tested, to avoid a false negative. I think, but in no way am I an expert, that would be at least a couple of months. Or, just get checked out regularly for a year or two, which is probably the best course anyway.

I thought that myself when I saw it was for sale. Here is what would concern
me the most.

(1) Did L&I shut them down just for infractions or is the city/community
trying to use L&I to get rid of the Patio period.

Example: When Phila went to cleaning up S.Broad St. one of the early things
they did was shut down all the short time motels. They were scattered
all about the area. This also happened in Cherry Hill as well with L&I shutting
down and condemning the hotels on Rt. 73 that where known to harbour
prostitutes and the drug trade.

(2) Why are the owners wanting to sell so fast and clearly under market
value after investing in renovations and from what I read another 5k would
probably bring the Patio back up to spec.

(3) You want to try to find an attorney who could find out info from
the local community/police department if this establishment has been
considered a nuisance and if they are trying shut it down.

(4) If you do decide to purchase, please PM me.

Hope nobody thinks of me as "wordly and highly intelligent" since I
replied to your post. I'm just on a mission to bone as many women as
I can while I can. Sw'ers just fit nice into my budget.

I was out twice this week.

The first occasion found me bounding out of my car to chat with Pat, a very cute short-haired brunette newbie sitting on the steps at the Huntingdon El stop. Her low-cut blouse and cleavage had me drooling. A true find for those of us who like pert A-cups. It was not to be. As we were walking toward my car I spied LE turning the corner, so I told her to keep walking. I crossed the street and didn't return to the car for five minutes. Guess who pulled up as I was getting in my car.

Officer #1: "Don't go picking up any prostitutes."

I hardly made any response and was able to drive off without showing ID, though they probably had my license number. If anyone has a better strategy in that situation, do tell us.

The second occasion, tonight at dusk, found me further north at Buckius Street. Brittney, in a new pink short skirt looked real good, hopped in, and we debated where to go. She said the Patio was still closed, so we headed to the Carlyle. That was full, so we headed for the Liberty. Guess what. It's now $40 for a short stay at the Liberty! Screw that. And $70 for the night. They not only require ID, as always, but wanted Brittney to write her name at the top of the form. And they wouldn't let her reserve the room for all night for herself without an ID.

All these front desk rules were provided in a thick Indian accent with plenty of attitude, and the unpleasantness was compounded by the presence of addicts milling around the desk and panhandlers out front wanting money to "watch the car". I give the Liberty the lowest possible rating and wish the hell Davey would buy the Patio so life can get back to normal. Anyway, all this pretty well pissed Brittney off, but she didn't take it out on me once we reached the room.

In fact during the whole date she was more friendly than I've ever known her. She's a really nice person, has a good sense of humor, and will relate to you very well if she likes you. Please treat her well if you run into her. She's got problems, like most girls out there, but she puts on her best face and treats people respectfully and honestly.

Adding to the long saga here about her looks, I would say she is about as pretty as ever, except the boobs which are slightly saggy and the eyes, which were red from lack of sleep. She's skinnier than she wants to be, but not than I want her to be. She's pretty much all blonde now, with dark streaks. And she's no longer with Teddy.

Speaking of pimps, they say Abdul is going through rough financial times and girlfriend Angie is now out of his house and over in Jersey.

Well after reading Horny Harrys report I just have to chime in. Be extremely
careful around the el stops as they are really ramping up patrols. The
and now the the Transit Police are trying to get on the same pay scale as the
PPD they are working extra hard. Heard from a good source that starting
aug 30th the will start using the loitering law along septa routes to clean up
the areas. That will include the entire stretch of the ave and especially
the area of the el stops. Good thing you got out of the car instead of just
pulling over or we would have even had a more exciting post from you.

Patio: closed and up for sale for a rediculously low price. Somethings
up, not a good sign for us. Seems like the city is shutting down our
playgrounds.

Liberty: never liked the attitude of the front desk but rooms did have
bathroooms and was a decent deal for the old 2hours for 35. But once
they started ID'ing I was done with them.

Carlysle: used to be good as a 10 place, but now that they want 20 and
never seem to have rooms avail anymore, I just haven't been going there.
To spend 20 in the heat of the summer for a room without a.c. and just
an old shitty fan isn't worth it in my book. Also the last couple of times
I was there (back in the early spring) there have been police cars just
sitting in the lot across the street.

What does this leave us? Well the ave girls have always had a problem
with going over the bridge, even though depending where you pick up the
girl it really isn't much further. Actually from most points you can be
at either the Riviera or Hallmark in 15 minutes and for not much more
money than the dumps in philly. That and those hotels are much safer
as not having to worry about LE harrassing you and your date when
either coming or going. I believe I post my ordeal leaving the Patio
one day with Shandie. I've always been extremely cautious from that
day on there.

So if more and more mongers insist that the girls come to Jersey for the
same price, sooner or later they will give in. Now for you guys who fall
for the line "I get $100 to go to Jersey" are going to fuck it up for the
rest of us. If you want to drop a 100 on one of these girls most will
spend most of the evening with you, as long as you front them money
for meds first if you feel comfortable enough with the girl to do that.
Otherwise they are just another 60 hotel date.

Hey guys,

Was out late Friday night after a few drinks with friends. I decided to check out the action on the "K" and see what was up. I made a turn from Aramingo into Lehigh and ran smack into a Sobriety Check. I've never seen so many cops in one place that wasn't a Duncon Donut. They funneled each side of the street into single lanes to make their checks. I was already up Lehigh and I was afraid if I backed up they would give pursuit. Like I said before, I had a few beers and if they tested me, I was going to get a DWI. After the car in front of me left, the officer pointed me where to pull up. I tried not breath so my breath won't tip me off. I pulled up, he handed me a DWI pamphlet, and asked me if I was drinking. I said no and he let me go. All the while another cop on the passenger side was looking in with a flashlight. While I was driving away I could see police vans, spot lights and tow trucks on the side streets. I took off, went south on "K" (nothing was out anyway) and went straight home. I didn't want to push my luck any further. It could've turned out a lot worse just to go out for window shopping.

Hi Everyone this is my first post on this Board. I am coming up from DE and the issue of motel is of keen interest to me. Thanks for your Post Davy1965!

What I am looking for is a place to spend the night which would be a room I could take a SW without worry from LE or from management. I hate walking SW's through a lobby but would do so it was totally cool. Also it would have to be a place that has parking. I can go up to 90. 00 a night for the right room. Also taking all of yours good advice I am not looking for rooms across the Bridge. Now with that in mind

1. I don’t mind showing ID to get a room for the night at the Liberty but would the women I would bring there have to show ID also.

2. Is the Hub Motel still a option?

3. What about the motels like Airport Towers on Penrose or place near the Airport or are they to far. In many cities there is good action to be had near the Airports.

Riviera - Overnight: $37 ($44 on weekends). More if not paying in cash.

Tks for the Recon work. Haven't rented a room in either for so long I
forgot what they were charging. Looks like a good deal is just to get
the room at the Riviera on the way to the ave and keep it for the night
if your spending an evening out on the K. Next is just not paying the
girls extra to cross the bridge. Depending where you are on the ave
the Riviera is just as far as the Patio, about 15 minutes.

I do know someone that does shorttime at the Hallmark and what he
does is take a date there and get a room, then hit the ave after dropping
her off and picking up another girl (if he can find one) and heading back
to the hotel one more time. I do know that shorttime at the Hallmark
is 4 hours, so it's not a bad deal at all.

Hate to see it happening, but LE has probably been more persistent than
they have in the longest since the original Operation Sunrise. I remember
back then when you could ride the ave and the whole length be deserted
for days unless you really just got lucky. Seems like Mayor Nutter is
really stepping up to the plate on cleaning the streets.
I sure hope we are just one day talking about how good things used to be.
With the exception of a few operations over the years Kensington has
been very active for the last 22 years that I've be going down there. Even
after all this time I still don't want to see the playground shut-down.
I think we are all (mongers and hookers) just going to have to get a bit
smarter to stay out of LE's sight.

All I can say is that it sucked. Nothing that I wanted, pickings extremely
slim, too much LE and between myself and my buddy in his car we both
bullshitted on the phone while we cruised different areas looking for
pussy and we both left empty handed. Normally one of us will at least
find something and just swap her out after the other is done. Saves a little

About midnight last night it was really quite around Somerset and all of
a sudden my friend called and said something was going down at Somerset
and to hurry up. Well 2 minutes prior the streets were deserted and now
there were about 50 people crowded around. The excitement "A Cat Fight"

They also showed a couple of video clips of guys being confronted by the reporter while cuffed. One was a state parole office who was supposed to be on duty at the time. Sounds like the scene Dr. Dong sniffed out below. The report mentioned how they're putting a lot of emphasis on cracking down right now ("around the clock"), as Davey and others have posted.

Police Crack Down on Prostitution in Kensington

Undercover cops are targeting prostitues and their customers along a portion of Kensington Avenue.

Police say the corridor, notorious for prostitution traffic, had become disturbingly busy so the vice squad set up an undercover operation in early July. Officers operate out of a portable booking station in the back of a parking lot near the Avenue.

Lieutenant Charles Green is in charge of the operation:

"Historically, it's been an area of high level, street level prostitution but recently the activity has spiked, for whatever reasons there might be," says Green. "There's been a lot problems with residents out here who have to witness this type of activity. We have business people who are in the same position."

Last month the focus was on prositututes. More than 50 were arrested.

Now, undercover cops are reeling in the customers. Ten men were arrested on Wednesday, alone. One of those arrested was a state parole board worker.

"He was in a state vehicle when he was arrested fpor patronizing a prositute," says Green.

While the focus is currently on Kensington, Green says the vice squad will soon be targeting other hot spots.

"We have a number of complaints throughout the city of street level prositution as well as indoor prositution and prositutution over the internet," Green said.

Ironically, I was on the K Thursday evening (food-related (http://www.usasexguide.info/forum/showthread.php?t=5224), Officer) and saw a total of one patrol car. Calm after the storm, I guess.

The scene yesterday afternoon along Kensington Avenue was all too typical: alluring women in revealing outfits attracting male drivers who pulled over and began negotiating a price.

The conversations, however, quickly took an unexpected turn when the men learned that the "working girls" were employed by the Philadelphia Police Department.

It took less than a minute in most cases for the men to find themselves surrounded by identifiable police officers, pulled from their cars, and handcuffed.

"If they come down here and they're going to solicit these girls, then they may be approaching one of our officers," said Lt. Charles Green of the Citywide Vice Enforcement Unit.

The daytime undercover operation was conducted yesterday and Wednesday where Kensington meets Castor and Sedgley Avenues, a point notorious for prostitution and drugs. It led to 18 arrests.

Police promised to continue such operations, which included the arrests of 50 suspected prostitutes in recent weeks.

Yesterday's arrests followed a July 17 public meeting in the neighborhood at which residents complained to Commissioner Charles H. Ramsey about prostitutes plying their trade in the area.

For those who live and work in the neighborhood, Deputy Chief William Blackburn of Major Investigations said, such public prostitution lessens the quality of life.

"Some of the sexual acts are done nearby and in plain view of children," Blackburn said. "I would argue vehemently that it's not a victimless crime."

Most of the men arrested this week were from Philadelphia, driving older-model cars; one came from Newtown Square and was pulled from his BMW.

Among those arrested was a state parole officer on the job in a state vehicle. Another was a driver for a not-for-profit service that delivers meals to ailing residents confined to their homes.

"When you run these types of operations, you just never know who is going to solicit," Blackburn said.

As the arrests unfolded, motorists paused to gawk; some residents took seats on their front steps while children passed on bicycles.

Vice Sgt. Joseph Lanciano said the men seemed to notice little else besides the provocatively dressed police officers.

Nearby, often well within view of the female officers, were unmarked police sedans with uniformed officers and undercover officers wearing bright yellow vests with POLICE in large black letters across their chests.

Lanciano spotted several vehicles circling the area, and it didn't take long before the undercover officer "spotting" the female officers on the street issued an alert about the driver of a white Jeep.

The driver - who allegedly offered $25 for a sex act - appeared surprised to see Lanciano emerge from nearby with uniformed Officer Steven Filippone.

Be Safe

If you must chance it, be safe. Remember; don't negotiate with a girl outside of the car. When possible, park and let the girl walk up to you. Tell her to get in and then drive off. Don't negotiate, make small talk for a block or until you are sure you're safe.

It’s is also good to have a prepared reason for being in the area – like, “I am on my way to my favorite Vietnamese restaurant, down the street.” This is a huge shopping area and it would help it you knew a little something about the area and it shops.

And if you are stopped, don't confess to nothing. Wait until you have been advised by a lawyer. The Cops are just doing their job and will do anything to trip you up.

We are not completely defenseless out there. We have our wits. If it looks to good to be true, it probably isn’t true. The safe way to keep out of trouble is to avoid it and stay home during periods of extended LE activity.

This too shall pass.

On Kensington? Huh? Talk about a dead giveaway. If I saw that I'd KNOW there must be a sting going on. :)

Something tells me Barbara wrote this story from the comfort of her office without venturing over to K to do real reporting. With very few exceptions like Avonna who occasionally used to dress up (see DukePV's Alphabetic Photo Links thread), K girls do not dress in revealing or sexy outfits or make much effort at appearing "alluring." Some are cute, attractive, or once in a great while even bordeline beautiful. But the vast majority don't flaunt themselves like you might see in the old days in AC for example. They dress down because they don't have anything better to wear or to try to stay under LE and local resident radar and heat. It's probably good to be more cautious and lay low for awhile. But I agree with Cooky, this too shall pass.

Usually what gives them away is the activity around them and the fact that they just look to fresh, clean and drug free. Also, I have never heard of an undercover female officer who actually got into a car. If a girl will not get into the car and drive with me, I start wondering.

Thanks Mike. It was very interest and informative. In the one example shown the guy was obviously an amateur (I doubt if he was a USASG member). I could not see how the girl who was holding the car door was dress, but that didn't matter. She wasn't getting in and the guy should of said, "excuse me Miss, I wasn't stopping for you - please close my door."

Never, I repeat; never negotiate with a girl outside of your car.

The other girl (the backup, in the black dress) didn't seem to be overly dressed.

This is overtime for these people, they'd do it forever if they could, but the Managing Director and the bean counters will soon put a end to it (I hope). They made seven arrest of otherwise tax paying citizens, while murders, rapist, thieves, robbers and drug dealer run while in the same area – god help us.

Rolled the K 8/11 10pm-12pm LE in force, 3 black Ford SUV's with looked like Vise 4 per truck. Also the usual LE in umarked and patrols. Seemed to pull every construction van or truck with a ladder over.

Lots of action though. Several girls in the 7 range, a lot in the 3-5's.

Driving home from AC I toured Broadway and K very early this morning. Pickings were slim on both strolls. I saw maybe a total of 3 SWs on Broadway. Somewhere around Line or Spruce or that general area I came across a familiar looking brunette. Familiar not because I've seen her out before but because I knew I had seen a set by CJ. Crossing the bridge I drove K. Not much happening at all. At that street one block before Womrath Park (just up beyond Erie / Torresdale) I saw an interesting sight maybe somebody can explain what it was. There were 12-15 people fanning out from the street corner heading in all different directions. They were all dressed in dark clothes, black or navy blue. On the back of many of their shirts in big yellow lettering read the word "AGENT." It appeared they were walking very casually, not like they were on some active operation at that moment. There was at least one woman among them and she had dark clothing on too but it was a belly shirt, and her shirt did not have writing on it. I continued past and then drove by again a little later. I saw what I think was the same belly shirt-wearing black woman I'd just seen standing at the corner talking to a dude at least dressed as a civilian. If I hadn't seen what I'd seen minutes ago I would have guessed she was working. Anybody have an idea if this was a prostitution sting, a drug enforcement team ending their evening operation or something else? The use of the word "AGENT" instead of "POLICE" made me wonder if it was really Philly PD.

I continued on down the stroll, again seeing almost nothing out. But passing Lehigh sitting on the notorious hooker stoop across from Huntingdon Station I spotted "Pinky," one of CJ's most recent gems. Her hair was up and she looked at least as good as her pictures (see link below).

The "AGENTS" you saw were a warrant enforcement unit which seemingly was making random stops on the Ave. Saw them around on Friday night, although they didn't put a dent in the SW action. Special unit of the Philly PD, there to scoop up the denizens of the hood who have outstanding arrest or bench warrants. On a Friday night on the K it's probably like shooting fish in a barrel.

Another interesting thing, which I didn't check out, but maybe someone did, was the pimped out SUV parked up near Womrath Park (actually outside the old porno theater) with the huge black dude and the sexy white girl in a tiny dress and fuck me pumps. As a follow up to the discussion of warrant units, there was a story in the print media yesterday indicating warrant units were hitting the street looking to clean up about 3800 misdemeanor warrants, and were trying to get everyone with such a warrant to come in to a church - which they felt would be less intimidating than a courtroom - to meet with judges & lawyers and get a new court date so the outstanding warrants could be resolved.

Sounds like this is what was going on out on the Ave, since the tactic of bringing girls in for the misdemeanor of "obstructing the highway" has undoubtedly resulted in any number of blown-off court appearances over the years. Only problem with this brilliant plan is the cops aren't offering amnesty, so it's questionable whether there's any appeal to going along.

I went out last night after the Phillies loss to Fla. On my first pass from Front Street all the way down to the DD I spotted 11 LE cars with 3 making busts. Her name is Patty (Patti?), she's fairly short, medium weight, and has medium length dark red hair, brown eyes, and a pleasant face. She was pretty relaxed about the whole pickup thing. She wasn't much of a talker on the way to our destination, but has a nice voice not marred by cigarettes yet. She says she's from Delaware county, and I'm guessing she was a good Catholic girl because of her politeness (asked me if she could turn the radio up on a favorite song, said it was rude to count money in front of a guy, spoke out against the recent cop-killings, agreed to every suggestion I made about where to go, didn't ask what we were going to do or for how much). She's also a sports nut.

I'm spending a lot less time on K these days. I visit less often and when I'm there I usually only do a couple rides up and down the stroll before deciding whether to buy or leave. It used to be I'd make a pickup on 90% or more of my visits. I realize I've gotten more cautious after a couple semi-close calls this year. Certain locations like the corner of Tioga and the 7-11 where I've made many pickups over the years now seem too public to me now. Sunday I did spend more time on the Ave however.

There were a fair number of girls out but almost nothing from Lehigh to Girard. That might have been related to LE being posted for hours at the Lehigh and Huntingdon intersections. I saw Cooky's Sabrina, wearing short shorts on Pike on a couple of drive bys. I've been with her and agree she's good but her thickish body is not my favorite type. During the Puerto Rican Day Parade, is an excellent time to be down on the "K." Buy a flag and hang it out of your car and you've got an instant excuse to be on the "K." I missed it this year. But, for the last two years I got lucky with some good results during the parade. The only problem was getting around the crowd. Last year I drove down into the middle of the celebration and it took me an hour to get out and pass the celebrating cars. Now I know to avoid any east and west streets between Huntingdon Park and Vine St. Once you are on the "K," buy a cheap flag, blown you horn and wave at the girls.

I noticed last Thursday and Saturday at sunset a group of SW's by K & Lehigh train stop. It seems a lot quieter and looping around B street easier. Not too much to say. Things were a little sparse in the afternoon when I picked up Camille. She was standing in the middle of a lot of people just above Jeffersn but when I turned around the corner she followed.

4. I have deleted all of the posts that were focused on the controversy surrounding this issue.

I had the day off On Friday so I thought I would do a three stop stroll. I started off in Delaware out side of Wilmington, around 800 AM nothing much happening there so I went to Camden.
