Just to add my $0.02 - I thought this place was an apartment AAMP. The last time I was there, gal was easily in her 40's - everthing on the menu, but I wasn't sufficiently impressed with her looks to go for anything more than HE.

Had an appt in Boston today so decided to check out an AMP I had read about here. A place at 72 Kneeland St. Posted by Tanaka. He mentioned a girl by the name of Aiko.

Short story: I went to a AMP in Waltham (xxx-5749) this week that I don't think has been reviewed yet. They advertise on CL under "Therapeutic" and for those with short attention spans, that's what they appear to be. Good Swedish massage with a bit of deep tissue in my problem areas. To me it was worth the $60 for a non-sexual 1-hour Swedish massage. If you want more WW or sometimes Jas.
Long story: Called and made an appointment for later in the day. I arrived at my appointment and got a meter space right our front ($0. 50 for 2 hours meter parking). I went in, up to floor 2, and rang the doorbell.
Wai (rhymes with high) would be my massage therapist and she let me in (door was unlocked). She is the woman in their CL ad. The picture is accurate but is probably 3-5 years old and she had her hair down when I saw her. Still attractive, but she was more in everyday mode and not made up like a photo shoot. Her English was pretty good. Not great and she had some pronunciation difficulties, but like my Spanish language skills, she understood more than she could articulate.
She was on the phone with a person making an appointment when I entered but still welcomed me and offered to let me use the restroom first. This was a nice touch and could have been because she was writing up a appointment, but many AMP want to get you on the table ASAP.
I use the restroom (outside of their 2nd floor office) and come back in. She has finished her call and showed me to massage room. She points out the wall hooks for me to hang my clothes (clothes hangers on wall hook). Right by the wall hooks is a framed sign that sexual services are not offered, so please don't ask. Other factors are telling me are & T is available.
After she leaves I undress and get on table. I don't drape and when she enters I am not covered. Good sign (but by the end this place seems legit to me).
She starts with a very light feather touch massage and tells me that she is working up to a stronger massage. She soon asks if I want soft, medium, or hard and I opt for medium.
All in all the hour+ was a very good Swedish massage with a bit of deep tissue in my problem areas. She really worked on a few of my shoulder knots. As I am tight (I hold stress in my muscles and I know it) she really wanted to loosen me up – and she did. I feel very loose and sore in some muscles – not bruised, sore – like I had worked out. This is a good sign that your massage was solid and effective.
She used a lot of lotion, but not too much for my tastes. To me it was just right, others may think it was too much but it wasn't oily lotion.
After she was done with the back, and later the front, she used hot towels to remove 90% of the lotion/scent. If you have a wife/SO, and want to hide the fact that you got a legit massage, you may want to hit a shower before you see your wife/SO. Better not to raise eyebrows if you monger.
She spent a lot of time on my problem areas: shoulders, right arm/hand (I am a rightie), and buttocks/upper back thighs (I sit at work and in the car a lot).
I took her hard work on my buttocks as a good sign and moaned during her work there.
Shortly before the flip, she covered me with a towel and encouraged me to turn over. After the flip I came right out and asked her if any extras were available. She seemed used to the question and demurely said they didn't offer that. She continued with the regular massage like my question was no big deal.
She worked my front including work on my arms, legs and hands. She had brought a portable electronic hour timer with her when she came in. The alarm sounded while she was working my left leg. She shut off the timer and kept right on massaging. She kept working for about 10 min after our hour should have ended to make sure she finished my left leg and started/finished my right leg.
After my massage was over, she left the room and I got dressed. She returned with a paper cup of water. She left again, and I finished putting my shoes on. I left the room, and tipped $20 on the way out. I usually tip. 10 for legit massage, but she was pretty good. I'd say the massage was a 7-8 on a scale of 1-10. Many AMP's do a 4-5 level massage.
During the massage she asked me about the room temp (fine), the hardness of the massage (great), and if I was ok (I was ok each time she asked). She pressed and pushed hard at times, but not too hard.
All in all – a good legit massage in a "start up" kind of business. Not sterile like a professional doctor's office or high end spa, but more like a small family business. I will repeat for a affordable, legit, dedicated massage in a area I frequent. My monger impulse will take me elsewhere more often.
Total damage: $60 + $20 tip for 1 hour & 10 min. Un-rushed good legit massage.

I have been meaning to post this for a bit. Was on that side of town the other evening and thought I would stop by and give this place a go. Was greeted at the front desk by a fellow monger? Yes, that right, there is a white male mid 30's who does the bookings and takes payment. I guess he is the manmansan? Very strange. Thanks for the parking recommendation. I will definitely take advantage of that deal next time I visit. Which will probably be sooner than later.

I know many guys like the thrill of the hunt and finding new territory that is off the radar to avoid losing their job/wife/kids in a LEO raid at the well known places. If you want to go to places that are well known on many boards and on the radar: WW, OS in Prov, 1021 in Prov, RT in CT, Jolin (request a non TS), Pearl, Montvale, 224 Tremont, etc.
This place is in a area I frequent and looked like it could be a sexual massage joint (discreet location, 2nd floor, dim indoor lighting, locking doors on massage room, slightly rundown rooms that didn't look like a spa/hospital, an asian woman wearing trashy leopard print tights entering building as I was parking, etc.)

Based on everything I know about Lisa, the report is probably about an "employee" working for Lisa. I do not doubt the reports, but I think an honest mistake is being made. Here are my reasons:
1. When an AMP worker refers to a payment to the "company", she's not the boss. (This is a very educated guess) In this case, I believe Lisa is the "boss/company".
2. The phone number may not be Lisa's. It could belong to the contractor/tenant/employee.
3. I don't think Lisa smokes (I could be wrong)
4. The request to keep down the noise was probably intended to prevent a coworker from knowing what was going on. Noise isolation may not be very good within the multi-room unit. A coworker might have been in another room.
The minute I know that Lisa is providing these services, I will book the next available appointment with her and call a cab. The two reports are great, and if they are completely accurate, there will be no way to overstate my envy of the authors.

First of all, I am not that fussy client at that day. However, I want to suggest to you fellows: pay at the end of service and the tip should be based on the quality of the service, that way you will always keep your provider motivated. My experience is if you pay up front, most of the time your service will be down graded some way. In one extrem, my full hr service was cut into half rushed one, I did not ask for my money back though. If you go to a new place, the girl may not feel safe unless you pay first. If that is the case pay the house fee first would be the best way. Only place I know of back bay is Rainbow. Had 2 bad experiences there. Both times I was offerd to leave happy but I declined because it was such a crappy build up and over all experience. Rushed, worst massage ever, constant upsell. No good. Stay away.

Went to my favorite hollistic spa again the other night. Paid the $100 for steam room/TS/sauna/massage and led to room. I decided to give the new Angel's a try, I had been in the past wanted to see what was different. I went twice over a couple of days. Angel's is very convenient for me and it would be nice if it was more relaxing than old Angel's.

Decided to visit Bonan today after hearing so many good reports about this AMP. Called ahead to see if they had an appointment available and was happy to hear that they had one available and so I headed on over.

Over all, I would say that the new management is doing a good job.They hired new talent most of which is under 40 and non seem to have an attitude. Only one woman ( really tall) is still there from the old crew. They have cleaned the place up. Installed new hot towel machines in the rooms. They must have used 6 towels on my massage the last time I was there. The new steam bath stall looks good but its too hot to try it now. I'll wait till the weather gets colder.

If you check campaign donation records you will see that the owner of the Phoenix chain is one of the biggest contributors to the Democrat party in this state. Just driving through the towns around Boston, it is really quite striking how many AMPs --and I suppose, non-AMPs, but as my moniker suggests I am an AMP fellow--have sprung up without, as you observed, a commensurate improvement in service or a drop in price/ tipping expectations.
All I can figure is that a lot of fellows are fully satisfied with a towel-wrapped mini-massage, followed by light, accidental teasing and an invitation to return for more bottled water and candy the following week. I have also seen the same thing. I usually find the non Asian places with young hot woman offer poor massage and expect a GIANT tip for any addtional activity UPFRONT. They have this feeling of entitlement.

Just an FYI
I called Anna in CT this past Friday to inquire as to her new roommate(s) if any. I did not truly realize how fortunate hobbyists who are Mass/RI boards-centric really are, until I went to post a review on a board in a major city in another part of the country. Recently did some recon work:

I did notice some "novice" hobbyists lately and I know that it would be helpful to learn "to the point" info on some of the better (or worse) places. I am from the north shore so here is my take. Recently I called Waltham Wellness around noon and asked if they were busy. They said that right now they weren't and I could come right over. Hopped in the car and was there in about 20 minutes. My prior visit, several months prior, to the Golden Flower Massage in Medford had been less than stellar. But I decided to give it another try recently, and have since been back twice. Been meaning to try out this place since the last review claimed they now offer extras. My only prior experience was previous management, and it was legit at that time.
First, I drove into the parking lot in the mid-afternoon since I didn't have the number with me. Was planning to get a card and talk about appointments. However, there were several people hanging out right in front of the entrance - smoke break or something from one of the other offices. I simply turned around and exited as quickly as possible (made a note of the number, which is right on the marquee).
Later, around 6pm I called and Amy answered. She said it was not busy, and to come right over.
This time, parking lot was empty (as was the rest of the building, I think). To my surprise, I walked in to be greeted by a tall chinese guy, with Amy in the background. He was very friendly, and asked about the traffic - obviously deducing that I was the one who called.
I was offered the facilities, then Amy took me to the very far room at end of the hall. Amy is maybe 35-ish and average in most ways. Not skinny, not fat, not pretty, not ugly. Plain/adequate, with OK English. She collected the .6 house fee, and then returned as I was slipping off my underpants. No biggie - it set the tone for later. Wait - let me rephrase that... oh, screw it, "no biggie" actually describes me pretty much to a "T"...

Hi Guys,
Well I was cruising the CL theraputics adds and I stumbled upon one I could not believe. The ad was for an AMP in a town south of Boston that is lucky to have a gas station. This is good news for us mongers located between boston and the cape.

Decided to try out one of the newer places with a "grand opening" ad in CL, for which I had not yet seen any reviews. This post's Title was a line in an ad for the new place on restaurant-row in Waltham. I have gotten tired of the well-reviewed Jasmine, WW, further up Main Street, and other massage places in and around Waltham.
The grand opening ads for the place focus more on foot massages than on bodyrubs. So, I felt I was in unchartered waters as far as expectations.
Called, and jokingly asked if the girls on duty would make my cry, to which the house lady CeCe replied that I would leave happy. Cleary expressed that I did not want one of the men that they have giving services.
Walked in, and everything is brand new. There is a very large wide open back room with many chairs, separated by short curtains. I guess that is the footrub customer area. In the main corridor leading from the reception area to that gigantic back room, there are a handful of private rooms. Consistent with observations on layouts of other brand new places I have ventured into, the setup has the perfunctory 10' high ceilings, with partial walls to the private rooms that are only 8' high.
I was led into one of the brand new rooms, which are relatively simple-and-tasteful. Immaculate setup, typical 9 x 7 arrangement, nice medium-dark colored wall scheme, with a mural of fanning Gisha girl on one wall. I paid the house lady.6 house fee for FH bodyrub. House lady had me get ready, and left, purposely leaving the door open about 2 inches.
When ready, in came Sophia. There was some natural light that got into the room, and Sophia was pleasing, decent body, curly hair, and a very neat fitting black outfit (kinda the standard uniform in the shop. Like the house lady, she purposely left the door open about 2 inches vs. Full closed. As I lay on the table in this room, I faced the cracked open door. So I could view everyone going in / out of the main front-to-back corridor. Sometimes the highway was void of people, sometimes the corridor was like grand central station.
Sophia delivered an excellent massage / rubdown. Soothing, full coverage head2toe, front and back. The work on my feet was performed only as a place that specializes in foot massage could do. Amazing. Her hands were extra soft and felt good everywhere they ventured. Interestingly, she ventured with her elbows, into areas I have only ever had hands. At other times, she ventured with two hands where others providers only use one. The arousal factor was off the charts. I will try to not set the bar really high for the next visit, for fear of a freefall letdown. BTW, I over-tipped for above and beyond service.
