I'm always looking for that "strange" and lately it seems that I've either tried them already OR they're below my standards of what I'll scoop. I'm back to taking "street shots" again and will more than likely get back into posting them when I get time to upload and edit them. I've wasted a lot of time and gas locally and as of right now I'm comparing the cost effectiveness of Prov versus Worcester.

On the other hand, Worcester has been FULL every time I get up that way and their stroll is MUCH easier than ours as well. Plus, it has the advantage of having MORE SW's and most of them are "strange" too. They also seem to accept a lower price as well and also have NO PROBLEM with pics and/or video taking. The disadvantage is the time and gas it takes to go up there and the deterring the local LEO's do with their stings (just had one on Wednesday).

Are there any PROVEN guys that might be interested in a carpool type deal going up there on either a Friday or Saturday late night run (ie PRIME TIME)?? I'm wondering how long the "grace" period should be before returning to the area (if at all; the experience was kind of chilling, considering how being booked would absolutely wreck my career and personal life). However, there is a very pretty SW in town whom I see regularly and almost exclusively; she's literally provided the best memories of my time in the hobby. It's impractical to see her elsewhere (for specific reasons, too long to get into). Yet I'm thinking a break from that area, and maybe the hobby altogether, is warranted for a long time. I'm curious to hear how others have responded to their brushes with LEO in this kind of situation. How has it affected your cruising habits, etc. ?

BTW, this did not happen in Providence; but I follow this thread here pretty closely and have greatly appreciated the responses I've received to previous queries. I don't mean to waste anyone's time.

Everyone goes thru cycles of both ups and downs no matter what you do. It could be from just getting stopped to actually being arrested or something else altogether. I myself just HATE being ripped off and I've had quite a few times where they pulled a cash and dash, where they actually ROBBED me, where the service was just HORRIBLE and etc.

For most of us, it's the thrill of the hunt and the possibility of landing a gem at street prices. I've said it before, anybody can go to an AMP or call up a BP girl. To me, that's just too easy (fish in a barrel) AND my hard earned dollars go MUCH further at street prices.

As for LEO, I try not to pass them more than twice TOTAL and I do NOT do repeat loops over and over again. I will vary the routes, I will take breaks such as gassing up or getting something to eat, I will go try another loop (ie. Pawt vs Prov etc) or even just call it a day and always remember "discretion is the better part of valor". If you have more than one ride sometimes changing them will help too.

Throw in mobile license plate readers and IMHO, you could end up being singled out easily if you cruise certain areas. I've only been in a rental in RI, but the reckless drivers in the cruise area scare me as much as LEO, so simply don't do it. Maybe this is a bit paranoid, but for me, being caught with a SWer is high risk compared to being caught in an AMP or independent escort's arms.

The last time I was pulled over I was caught right in the act of slowing down to pick up an obvious walker. I had circled the area a few times, so I knew she was legit. When I went to slow down, I saw Uncle Providence turn right onto the road behind me, maybe 100 feet back. It was obvious what I was doing. I slowly took off and pretended I was texting. While illegal, I would much rather be nailed texting than hooking. He pulled me over and grilled me, caught me in a BS lie since I was flustered. I played dumb. Since there was really no proof of anything, and he let me go and told me to go straight home. Which I did.

They are not stupid, and have a good memory. I have seen the same one, and he has followed me for miles after I have passed him. This was in my area (not all that known for mongering), and it was probably 9-10 months ago I was pulled over. I have not been followed in a while by him.

Honestly. It is really hard to charge someone with being a john and have it stick. Unless you are actually involved in a sting, they are going by suspicion. Sorry, but that should not cut it in a court.

I had a dream I was browsing the streets, and this is what I saw. Morning in CF lots of good looking civilian assess. It was difficult to tell if they were working or not. And lots of traffic. At one "incident" tonight on Academy there were 5 or 6 LEO's together and at the same time there were 4 more on Atwell's at another stop. That didn't include the other's still moving around too. There were also at least two unmarked state troopers working the streets as well. What irritated me was that they were mostly ignoring the bad drivers (no lights on at all, speeders, running lights etc) and just cracking down on anyone they saw on the streets or any cars they saw too any times.

I personally saw at least 5 guys in cars in the Atwell area (Atwells, Academy and Valley streets) get stopped after either scooping or trying to scoop an SW. In the midst of this Glennie was standing in the street wearing a santa's hat and waving at guys trying to get a date.

Spend a month scoping out neighborhoods and learning to recognize the look and potential stings and undercover LE, don't even think about stopping and picking someone up until you feel really comfortable that the person is who you think they are, that there's no LE waiting around the next corner, etc.

If you'd read through this forum you already know 'where' and to some level 'when' but 'when' changes no one is working regular hours. 'how' what? How to stop and ask a stranger if you they want / need a ride? Because that's all you should E V E are do or say. So stop and ask 'It's awful cold to be walking, can I give you a lift somewhere? That's 100% legal. Even if you are stopped by LE after picking someone up, you haven't done anything illegal just say exactly what you said. LE won't believe you and will try to intimidate you into admitting you were intending to do something illegal so keep your mouth shut. You have no legal obligation to answer any questions. People do answer questions or try to explain their way out of uncomfortable situtations like being stopped by LE and being accused of criminal activity, but you don't have to answer any questions and nothing you can say will help you they already have decided what you were doing, but if you haven't done anything just repeat that.

If you would rather not have to deal with beeing stopped by police for offering someone a ride in a neighborhood that to them you have 'no reason' for being in, then the 3 main rules are 1. Don't be noticed, 2. Don't be noticed, and 3. Don't be noticed. So go online and look for a guide, they exist. They will tell you things like don't ever stop the first time you see a SW, drive up and down the street a couple of times to make sure there are no LE (undercover or marked) waiting down a side street, don't ever pull over on a main street, don't drive up and down the same street or loop of streets 3 or more times in a row - go somewhere elkse for an hour and give anyone watching a chance to forget your vehicle, don't ever cruise if you have any lights not working or your plates are expired or anything else that will draw attention to you and lthey'l l have ;ots of other advice. Or maybe others here have good advice, I am too paramoid and aware of how fucked up my life would be if I were charged with solicitation to engage in this activity.
