The Sun Spa that was raided was in Dyer, IN not Michigan City.
Guess that will teach me to RTFF closer lol. But at any rate since all of these spas in the region appear to be closely linked and have somewhat of a common ownership base, according to the federal investigation (and we all know how reliable that information can be), I would say that getting service at an AMP may prove to be dicey at best for a while.

Went by the other day to check on my favorite spa. Sun Spa has hit the dust *sad face*. Sign is down and a for lease sign is in the window. Too bad. It was always a sure thing for me!

SCHERERVILLE | A local woman said she is preparing to divorce her husband for agreeing to take in a woman charged with being a manager of a massage parlor that allegedly offered prostitution.
"I'm shocked," Susan Hjertquist said Monday after learning her husband, Larry Hjertquist, is allowing Ansil Hyun, to live at their home and business, Hjertquist Motors, 2238 U.S. 41, Schererville. Hyun is awaiting trial on a federal charge she recruited women to be prostitutes at Singapore Spa, 2034 45th St., Highland.
Larry Hjertquist, the owner of the auto dealership, declined comment Monday. He isn't accused of any wrongdoing by authorities.
Highland police and the Immigration and Customs Enforcement service raided Singapore Spa and three other spas in Highland and Dyer on Feb. 22 following a lengthy investigation into claims that spa employees solicited sex from customers.
Seven people have been charged in the investigation.
Hyun was arrested in the raids and initially held in a federal lockup as a flight risk since she had no permanent address in Northwest Indiana.
U.S. District Court papers in the case indicate Hyun's attorney, Charles Stewart, was able to win her release March 15 after Larry Hjertquist testified at her detention hearing.
U.S. Magistrate Andrew Rodovich released Hyun on a $50,000 bond on condition she "live with Larry Hjertquist, 2238 U.S. 41, Schererville."
Susan Hjertquist said this happened while she was visiting their second home near Fort Myers, Fla. She said she intends to return to Indiana immediately and confer with a lawyer to dissolve her marriage of 36 years and evict her husband and Hyun from their Indiana home.
Local and federal law enforcement officers began an investigation last year into complaints of prostitution at Singapore Spa, Sun Spa, 1064 Joliet St., Dyer; Tokyo Tanning and Day Spa, 2303 45th St., Highland; and Barley Spa, 9636 Forrest Drive, Highland.

It's the Sun Spa, Taz. Osaka was years ago and got closed down. Used to have this huge ass sign that you could see from the interstate. Rumored to be a nice place, but I never made it there. It's just north of the interstate ramps on a side road off 421. Very nondescript and actually kind of hard to see at night.
Have seen postings here that the ladies there are a little on the nervous side. Maybe they've settled in.

Ok so you walk in this place and are greeted by a woman who must be 70, she says "no table showers" and you consider having a msg with a woman who will be burried within 5-10 years, and as I did, decided to walk out the door and head home. If you are not a regular or into elderly rub downs there is no need to drive to Valpo. Was watching my favorite show (AMP Heaven) the other night, and they had a new episode at the Suki Spa in Valpo. Our hero was in the area and, having read the Subman's summaries decided to give them a try. Two very cute asian gals in evidence. Well, I experienced something new at an AMP - something I haven't been able to say for a while! An AMP sl*t got into my head and really did a number on me, in a good way. Because of all the busts and the increased scrutiny, I'm not going to say which one, but its been reported on here before.

As I indicated, this is an amp that has been mentioned on this board before, so its not new information, anyway. I just thought the idea of the mental image of a sl*t sucking dick through her nylons was brilliant - and might help others who have an aversion to the cbj.
Also, AMPM, this was your first post since March 2005, and most of your posts were in California. Just to say, you are not known here and our LE paranoia is justified these days. I had the chance to drop into Duneland Spa last night (1st Spa visit since PS closed) just to see what the taking's were. I ended up taking the 1hr tour with a shower. The post thus far seem accurate only HS avilable, but you can leave your own tip. Overall I had a good time at least I was able to get a sticky finger while the event was taking place. hope this helps anyone who is thinking of going.

I went to the sun spa tonight and saw lisa. She would only accept half hour massages. After the table shower she led me to my room where it was very hurried and she wanted 250 total for the fs and door fee. I reluctantly agreed and it was the worst fs I have ever encountered at a amp. I have visited suki and sun and was very disappointed in both. I think everybody here needs to go to happy spa in battle creek michigan. I stopped at dune the other day. They make you sign a guest book. I took the 1/2 session and they didn't offer a shower. Had a supper hot young girl. Well, I thought that it was my turn to step up to the plate, so I decided to visit today and TOFTT. I drempt that I took the trip out to Spa 7 today. As Flax said, pretty good service, but expensive in my dream. .7 door + 1.4 gets FS! Pretty pricey! The service was pretty good, though. Police arrested three women Wednesday in Valparaiso and raided a pair of massage parlors long believed to be houses of prostitution.
Suki, 1007 Calumet Ave., and Natural Healing, 403 E. Lincolnway, were closed Thursday after several months of police surveillance ended about 9:30 p.m. Wednesday with police entering Suki with a search warrant and arresting a pair of Korean women for prostitution.
Another Korean woman was arrested a short while later when police entered Natural Healing with a warrant.
Chong Suk Harridsleff, 58, and Ronnie Song, 55, were taken into custody at Suki, while Woncha Cho Christensen, 52, was arrested at Natural Healing. Prostitution is a Class A misdemeanor.
Valparaiso Police Chief Mike Brickner said the arrests were in response to several complaints registered against the two businesses.
"When we have complaints, we're obligated to look into it," Brickner said.
It's the second time in a three and a half years Valparaiso police have raided and made arrests at the Suki location. In August 2003, King's Spa occupied the building and was shut down when two women were arrested for prostitution. Suki located there a couple months later.
"We certainly don't want this in our community," Porter County Prosecutor Brian Gensel said.
The three women were arraigned via video conference from the Porter County Jail in front of Judge David Chidester. Chidester set cash bond at $750, Gensel said. The three remained in custody Thursday afternoon.
Police said the three women lived at the respective locations. The Porter County booking roster listed Harridsleff and Song as being from Los Angeles, while Christensen had a Valparaiso address.
"How they get here, we don't know," Gensel said.
Valparaiso Police Detective Jeff Balon coordinated the raids after a pair of undercover officers with the county's narcotics unit reported they were solicited for sex acts at each establishment early Wednesday evening.
The officers entered the businesses and paid the initial $70 fee for the massage and were asked for an additional $40 tip, according to charging affidavits. The women fondled the men and afterward told police fondling was part of the massage.
Once the officers were solicited, they gathered with detectives at the Valparaiso Police Department before the prosecutor's office issued search warrants.
Police confiscated condoms and more than $5,000 in cash from the parlors. Balon said about $3,500 was taken from Natural Healing and about $2,000 from Suki.
Other shop owners upset
Business owners near Natural Healing said they have known for several years the building has been a place of prostitution. Terry Abner, owner of Terry Abner Salon next to Natural Healing, said the illegal activity has been going on for six or seven years.
Abner said he has spoken to city leaders about the matter and contacted the FBI about a month ago.
"Behind us we have residents, and we've been up in arms about it for years," Abner said. "It doesn't take a rocket scientist -- if you've got a massage place that's open until midnight and men are sneaking in the back door -- to figure out what's going on."
JoAnne Rosenow, owner of nearby Amara Salon, was glad to hear Natural Healing had finally been raided. When Rosenow opened her salon about three years ago, she went to Natural Healing to introduce herself and was greeted by an Asian woman dressed in black lingerie who didn't speak English.
She said she used to see an Asian man and other women come and go from the place. But for the last year and a half she's only seen the same woman.
"I kind of felt sorry for the woman that worked there," Rosenow said. "I felt like she was a captive prisoner.
"She didn't speak any English and couldn't communicate with people. She wouldn't look you in the eye when she was outside in the yard watering flowers or whatever."
Both Abner's and Rosenow's salons offer massage therapy. Both said establishments such as Suki and Natural Healing give legitimate, licensed massage therapists a bad name.
The building leased by Natural Healing is owned by Nick D. Fitousis, the owner of Jimmy's Cafe in Valparaiso. He said the woman has leased the building for three or four years.
"If I was aware that something like that was going on, I wouldn't be leasing to these people," Fitousis said.

Ah, good ol' Seoul Spa. I was in the area about a month ago and decided to give it a try, no dice, but as most said very thorough and excellent massage. I get the vibe that there is potential here but you have to be an extreme repeat customer. I figured I should finally post after being a leecher here for so long and just reading without reporting. I used to hit up the various AMPs in the area before all the raids closed them down. Seems like there is no hope for those in favor of the AMPs anymore. Will start to report in the future whenever I come across something.

I was going to try the Holistic Massage on 20 but was told too busy, come back in an hour. It was an asian woman and they were busy so I may have to go back. I haven't heard anything but bad news about this place (Sun) lately from anyone whose opinion I would value. Apparently they have forgotten the meaning of customer service. And that "today only" thing is BS, they tell everyone that walks in there 1/2 hour only. I think they are trying to keep cars out of the lot. They will end up keeping customers out of the place.
I was going to try the Holistic Massage on 20 but was told too busy, come back in an hour. It was an asian woman and they were busy so I may have to go back. They advertise on I-94 billboard so they must be making money. So down the road I went to the Sun spa at I-94 and 421. I was met at the door by older woman and told only 1/2 hr for 40. Today only 1/2 hour so I took them up on it, what is $40 for a shower and massage. Sara came in, not bad looking, maybe late 20s, nice t and a and off to the shower. Same bs, you been here before,,etc. Went back to the room for a lousy 5 min rubdown and then she asks what I want. I told here FS and handed her 100. She said that would give me a HJ. I told her FU and took my money back. Then the negotiations began. For you, today only 160, blah, blah, blah. We settled on 120 and the experience was terrible but the little head was talking. I will be back to Holistic but if someone gets there before me, let me know. They wanted 70 for the hour by the way.

I've been to Duneland a few times over the past couple months. Each time I got a TS followed by a pretty good massage including a handshake. Nothing more is on the menu, at least for me. House fee is 80 per hour, 50 for a half hour. Tip is up to you at end, I leave at least 40 and a bit more for better service. If all you are looking for is a quality massage and a handshake, this is a good spot.
Been here a few times. It's always the same lady, older and not too attractive, but gives a great massage. 7 for a ts and great massage. Handshake is included, does ask for a tip at the end.

The extras wil cost the same at the new place but no FS will be available, I asked. Stopped by yesterday to talk to the owner, Yoki. I was told she is in China for awhile. (interesting, wonder if she is looking for new help) I was told that the new spa in Lake Station may open by the end of the week. It will be behind the liquor store on the corner, a stones throw away from Duneland. I will let you know if anything new develops.
Stopped by Duneland on a Wed. Evening a couple weeks ago. The owner is always glad to see me, although I don't show up that much. Had Lucy, mid 40's, OK body. Shower was very thorough. Massage was great; these older ladies really know how to do massage. HJ ending was good, but not special.

I went there last Spring, and the masseuse was a real CW. I stopped by today to give it another shot, and frankly it was worse. I was scrubbed down with a loofah in the shower, about 10 minutes massaging theback, flip, and immediately to a HJ. $. 7, plus a tip to round up to $. I was in and out in about 25 minutes. And to think I drove by Duneland to get there.
BTW. Duneland seemed open, but the property is for sale.

Responding to Roy's post below, the Duneland property must just have gone up for sale. I was there on Thursday and I didn't see any signs indicating it was being sold. The owner is still in China, so I didn't talk to her this time. But the massuese, Lucy, said that she didn't think that they were still opening a second place in Lake Station anymore beause business wasn't that good at Duneland. Maybe they are just moving to the new location now? That would be okay with me since the new location isn't on the main street (I think).
Lucy gave a great massage, as always, with excellent HS. Her english isn't great, but she is a very nice woman. HS is all you can get at Duneland, but if that's all you are looking for, give it a shot. I tipped 40 after paying the house fee, so $. 2 total for a pleasant hour.

Well, except that I know that at least one area massage parlor used to use security cameras to provide themselves with evidence (and possibly useful blackmail) if they were ever hauled to court.
Back in the 70s there used to be a place in Old Town called La Marquis and when they were subsequently shut down by the cops, the camera system was found. (And, yes, you would have found me on that film a few times; I was too busy with college then to have a GF.)
And a good friend of mine worked in a place down in Peru, IL where they did an audio recording of the whole session for similar reasons.
So, yeah, assume you are being recorded or filmed, but I cannot pretend to any knowledge more recent than 1980 on this.
Unfortunately it is not illegal to video tape. What you can't do is record both sound and video. That is the part that is illegal.

I've been a reg at Duneland this year, enough so that Yoki, the owner, knows me pretty well. I've had nothing but good experiences during that time with at least five different girls. But most recent visit this week with Sofie was awful, so I want to warn the members here.
After paying the 80 house fee, I've always tipped 40 for HJ and 60 for HJ plus letting me enjoy the twins, and tipping has never been discussed in any of my previous visits. Services were rendered and I left the appropriate amount on the table. But after the massage, Sofie gave the HJ motion and asked if I wanted one. Of course, I replied. She said how much you tip? I told her, and she sneered. She said she wanted 60 for HJ only and more for the twins. I said no, that's the standard amount. She said where is the money? I said in my pants, so she handed them to me and I gave her the 60 I had in there. Sofie gave me a quick, pounding, lame HJ and didn't show the twins. She didn't object when I grabbed them over the sweater, but she didn't do the typical AMP thing of lifting up the sweater and freeing them from the bra. But she clearly was unhappy with the tip and didn't think it was enough and she wanted me to know it. If I wanted attitude, I would have had my wife do the HJ. I don't want that from a massage parlor.
Yoki, the owner, is still out of town. She needs to get back soon. A great place is going downhill fast. I won't be back until Yoki is there to get things back under control. As someone mentioned, I think they are ripping Yoki off while she is gone. They always used to write your name down in a notebook when you went there and they haven't since Yoki went out of town. Both of my last two visits ended well before the hour I paid for as well. I used to love Duneland because I'm not looking for full service, just some nice massage with extras. But I'm going to stop going there for now. When you start losing your regular customers, your business is in trouble.
If you go there, take my advice and only take Lucy instead of Sofie. Lucy doesn't try to upsell and take your money for nothing, and she has a great attitude.

I visited back a few months ago before they raised their prices. It was only $90 for the hour. Thye didn't have a table shower then and offered some extras but they we're all overpriced imho. I opted for nude HS at $75 but I'm sure these prices have also gone up. They pledge on the site now that they don't do massage. Have only been to the sun spa in Michigan City, but have read that both duneland and peking are much better, when do you recomend a visit for a newibe to those places, and who should I ask to see.
I have had no great experiences at Sun. For the money and time your best odds are Peking if you want fs. If not try Dundland.

I went late in the evening, and got scolded by the Mamasan that they were closing soon. Well hey put your hours on the door.
No T. S, . (my favorite part), and was shown to a room. The young (hah! ) lady that came in and started massaging me without any oil or lotion.
On the flip, she asked want I wanted. I asked for HJ, she say thats. 80. I say. 40, she say no way. I say OK, just massage.

Went by today and Duneland still has the "Closed Today" sign out front. I'm worried because in the past when Yoki, the owner, has been out of town, the massage girls still ran the place. I wonder why she would close it down for a while because she is out of town when they could still make money. Maybe the most recent girls, Anna and Sara, have moved on to other places. I can't imagine them just taking a long vacation; those girls want to work every day to make as much money as they can.

I talked to Yoki today. Her brother was struck and killed by a truck, I dont know which country but she said it was a 20 hour flight. She closed because she had gotten complaints when she left before and she didnt want the girls to ruin her business. With Duneland closed, I went out to Vivea. I haven't been there in about a year. $. 7 at door. Masseuse about 30-35, cute, limited English. TS good, thorough. Ok, call me stupid but I always like a good challenge so I tried Seoul again. Met at the door by the manager and tlook a 30 min massage for 60. The massage was hard but good. Maybe not quite that good (with also being that good looking), and not with the oil or soapy body slide thing, but there are certainly AMP girls here and there where you can get the full GFE, deep AR, BBBJ, etc. menu. Usually gotta get to know em, but I've been fortunate enough to have a few among the many mediocre ones.

Stopped by the Sun Spa in Michigan City the other night. I only stopped there as I could not remember where Duneland moved to. At any rate, . 4 to get in the door and was handed off to Maria. They have remodeled and it's now called the Deja Vu Love Boutique. Caters to couples more now. I haven't heard or seen anything available in the store since before the raids on the massage parlors. The manager is a woman now and if she even suspects that anything is going on, the girl will get canned. Go to the Sun Spa, it's the only game in town (except for some occasional visiting escorts).
I rejected a very old service provide and ended up with Cherry (korean). The up front was $40 for 30 minutes. Table shower was thorough. They wanted an additional $1. 60 for FS. Cherry gave almost no massage and went straight to the extras. About a 6. 5 on looks and body. Fairly good oral and Cherry on top and a doggie. Finished with an oily HR. Not as good as Eva from Spa 7 in Morris, but still fun. Even the magazines in the sauna still said Osaka.
