Problem is, whenever you come out of Adelita's or Chicago Club, your clothes smell like you lived in an ashtray for one straight month without changing. It's hard to acuire this kind of smell from golfing, especially in California... If you are a non-smoker, you'd better take some extra clothes in the trunk and change before crossing the border and after crossing back. Then you'll have to wash them sometimes during the next few days...

I go to TJ only when my wife is out of town, so I can wash my clothes before she comes back... :-)

However, if you do advance-search on T*E*R, i.e. go to advance search, type 626 in the area code and select "Asian" in the ethnicity section, you will come up with a bunch of reports, some of them for different girls from same agencies, with listed phone numbers and websites.

There is a big difference in most of the SGV operations and the Viet operations that were busted or say the Golden Flower busts in San Francisco last year. In most of the SGV houses, the girls are free agents whereas the Viet and and GF operations were actively importing the girls and basically keeping them as indentured slaves.

2. Atmosphere. Mediocre. Place is a sort of rundown and smells.

I have watched CA., & LA. in particular, simply legislate all of my passions into oblivion. I used to love guns. Not in this out of control state. I got what I got back in the day thank god! Nowadays, the brain surgeons in Sacremento have decided I'm only legally allowed to own certain shotguns, centerfire & rimfire rifles, and pistols that they feel are acceptable. WTF part of Shall not be infringed are they not getting? Like anything else, it has some value. Its difficult to determine which reviews are of an actual session, and which are posted to just gain the 10 days access.
The value comes when you want to visit a place with a full menu. It is easier to narrow those down.
There is one review just posted today, about amber @ dreamstar/irvine. It seems like that place has been gone for quite some time. The dude posted a review of a white chick under the heading of an asian girl going by the name amber. Go figure.

I spent several weeks in BKK on a business trip and found the service to be very consistent. You CAN liquor up if you want to, but in my experience it is so enjoyable I want to have all my senses. Tonight is the first night I walked out of an establishment without getting any service! You're probably thinking it was a fool move but I've had bad providers and made things work out -- sometimes you don't want to lose the house fee or you're just too horny to leave -- and you make due, sometimes with the same provider or a different girl.

It's been a few months for me visiting LP due to recent activity, but I tonight pull up and park, after the requisite fee mamasan leads me past the main area and I notice there's less than half the number of girls there (only 2 or 3 compared to 5 or more visible on better days) and they are all whispering, and clam up when I pass. JFHmm, I want to go back to LP at some point but do you think that the old favorites are back for good or were they "rotated in" from another amp just to give business a little boost?

I have been a longtime lurker and finally decided to start contributing.

Follow-up to this, I was at another amp recently (also Inglewood) which is my fallback for LP -- it's not a popular place but safe for the time being probably because it is low-traffic -- and the provider there said the reason LP gets busted so much is because the masseuses there "are not licensed".

Not sure whether she meant: (1) that LP isn't giving the city admin its kickback/payment, or (2) that the license excuse is some lame "legal" reason that LE offers to support a bust. In contrast, this provider was in fact "full licensed" as were "all the girls" at the same place, so LE left them alone. Don't PM me for the address, you experienced mongers out there probably know from a short list which places fit this description.

So now I'm wondering, do licenses really make *that* big a difference?

The bigger point here is, LP busts are getting to be regular so I would call that particular spot a "hot zone" for now, that means you can have your fun but watch your hours of attendance... it doesn't make any sense for LE to conduct a sting off peak hours, they'd rather bag 10 john than 1. Unfortunately, a morning bust means that LE is not conducting predictable stings so monger at your own risk.

I've been tracking some of the BT cases using the federal PACER(Public Access to Court Electronic Records) system and found a recently(3/23) filed 121 count, felony indictment against Tony Lau, Golden Flower proprietor. It's 12 pages long and pretty well explains the demise of Golden Flower.

He's apparently pleaded not guilty on all counts of the five alleged offenses. On the surface, it reads like a living hell for him. I also saw the 74 count indictment against the Suk Hee owners. One obvious foundation in both cases is the "Doe" names of the alien witnesses against the accused, in case you're wondering if any former RAs are around.

Some of the stats are mind boggling - >33000 wire taps, most in Korean; 29 defendants named in a single indictment; 4553 pages of discovery, and counting ...

-JohnI went there around 10:30 in the morning and I didn't see any marked police cars. One of the undercovers said, "don't come to inglewood anymore or you'll get busted." I didn't think much of it at that time when I heard it (that's what LE say all the time) but reading some of the replies of other locations being closed, I think stinglewood is back and cracking down on all mps...must chill out for a while. Be careful out there!

Saw some news on ch 11 this morning about "busts" at these MP's and TS's. report said "they were operating like a tanning salon / fitness massage, but the patrons (all men) were going in and out all day for 30 mins at a time"....

ALL busted it seems.

Oh well. No wonder I knew to stay away.. my spidey senses said it was looking odd.

Paid a visit yesterday. Good table shower but after that it is downhill.
Parking sucks and too hoody. K Providers are too old and worn. Place is not the most private. Signs warn room is not private and subject to inspection by Health Department and City (LE without mentioning it). Add to this, I could hear kids next door and the laundry mat and playing in the parking lot. Service was FS but the second worst (worst if you factor in the above) at an AMP. The only plus to north Gardena is Starz is nearby, my fav strip club with the best black dancers in town.

Our country is so uptight about sex that it has to spend hundreds of thousands of dollars and endless wasted time employing the LE to crack down on prostitution rather than spending the time on other areas of law enforcement that are really important.

All you have to do is look at Europe where prostitution is allowed and understood. Why can't our government follow suit?

The LE harassment will end when we FIGHT BACK in court. Right now, mongers and providers who are arrested quietly pay their fines and sneak out of the court room. If everyone who is arrested (mongers and providers) fights the charges, it will cost money, especially if we won.

The charges should be fought on our civil rights, NOT technicalities of the bust. We have the right of "privacy" and "the pursuit of happiness." Some will argue that this has nothing to do with our hobby. I disagree. The right to "privacy" did not apply to abortions until someone had the guts to fight the law on constitutional grounds. We should be doing the same. Hell, if you already got arrested, don't go down without a fight!

Nothing will change until we make it change. As long as the courts allow it, and the fines continue to offset the cost of deploying LE resources, the busts and harassment will continue. However, municipal governments would have a hard time spending so much money on stings if they knew their would be no return on their "investment". Even better, we could get these absurd laws overturned!

I will now step down from my soapbox and return you to your regularly scheduled mongering!

In an ideal world we would all stand up, but on the monger side of the equation some of us can be more visible than others and that weakens the response.

It is quite unfortunate, that this is probably the only way to get these laws reversed is via the civil rights angle. The big problem, few people want to actually fight, due to any number of issues, whether it be money, privacy, risk of losing, etc.
If the issue was fought strictly on a civil rights issue, it would probably take tons of time, money, and would likely attract more media attention than most individuals would want.

I suggest that all posts be carefully written to leave out any specific details that would help LE crack down on sw's and mongers, let them do their own f@#$ing work!
Leave out any info (sw's names, mp names, web sites, and even days and times) that would help LE crack down and make busts due to info from posts, making it easy for them to sit back and jot down info and make assessments on when the best times to make busts are.
Any details should only be given to trustworthy posters. (Sorry new guys, but deal with it!) Let's make LE have to work harder and perhaps spend more money trying to crackdown on prostitution, making them actually have to do some police work instead of just one or two pigs in front of a computer eating doughnuts and jotting down information a few hours a day. Maybe they'll lose their funding for stings due to lack of busts and they'll have to go back to actually fighting criminals. Just my thoughts on the situation.

I agree with Trajik, we need to be very careful about what we say and who we say it too. This is a very critical time in mongering, as our hobby is truly being jeapordized.

It is very scary to think that our rights are being violated and that we are forced to take it in the shorts because of of some fat-assed politician, who is sleazier than any 2 bit *****!

Why all of the sudden is this such a priority? I work next to the wood by LAX and have to drive through there to and from home every day. I don't know how the hell they can afford to spend as much time and $$$ as they do "cleaning up" the city when hookers aint the problem!

I am sickend to see my ATF MP's closed. Specifically, these two places have been around longer than I can remember and to see them closed down frustrates me to all hell.

Feds move to seize more than $4 million in assets, including four motocross tracks

SANTA ANA, Calif. - LAWFUEL - Press Release Service - The allehged owner of a string of Los Angeles-area brothels is among the four latest suspects charged in an ongoing multi-agency investigation targeting a prostitution scheme operating brothels in Southern California and Dallas, Texas.

Jong Ock Mao, 47, a.k.a. “June,” the leader of the brothel operation, was arrested Tuesday morning in Madisonville, Texas, and will be appearing in federal court in Houston today. According to the indictment, which was returned by a federal grand jury here April 5 and unsealed yesterday, Mao allegedly owns five brothels in the Los Angeles area and one in Dallas. The brothels were housed in a variety of businesses, including chiropractic offices, acupuncture clinics, “spas,” tanning salons and massage parlors.

Mao is one of four defendants named in the 40-count indictment charging her with money laundering, and violations of the Travel Act, a federal statute that prohibits the use of interstate facilities to promote and establish an illegal business enterprise, in this case a prostitution business. The charges are the result of an investigation by U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement, IRS-Criminal Investigation Division, and the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department.

In addition to Mao, federal agents yesterday arrested Edward Lutt, 43, at his home in Paramount. Lutt is suspected of overseeing the day-to-day operation of the brothels. At his initial court appearance yesterday in federal court in Santa Ana, a U.S. Magistrate Judge ordered Lutt to appear for post-indictment arraignment April 17 at 10:00 a.m.

The two other defendants named in the indictment are Charles Fields, 49, of Long Beach, and Randall Johnson, 51, of Los Angeles. According to search warrant affidavits in the case, the men filed business licenses to operate massage parlors and tanning salons in Southern California and Dallas that served as fronts for brothels owned by Mao. Johnson was arrested yesterday and is expected to make his initial court appearance this afternoon in federal court in Santa Ana. At this time, Fields is a fugitive and is being sought by federal authorities.

As part of the investigation, ICE and IRS agents, aided by deputies from the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department and officers from the Anaheim, Santa Monica, Inglewood, and South Gate Police Departments, executed search warrants yesterday at eight Los Angeles-area locations tied to the scheme.

The Los Angeles-area search locations included suspected brothels in Baldwin Park, Inglewood, and South Gate, as well as three residences - Mao’s home in West Covina, Lutt’s residence in Paramount, and the residence of Mao’s bookkeeper in Canyon Country, California. Additionally, ICE agents in Dallas executed a search warrant at a suspected brothel known as the Paradise Spa, where four women were taken into custody. Two of the women were booked on state prostitution charges, and the other two are being held on administrative immigration violations.

In conjunction with the arrests and searches, federal agents are seeking to seize more than $4 million in assets tied to the criminal scheme, including bank accounts, residences, and four private motocross tracks in California, Texas, and Florida. The tracks are operated by a company Mao owns called MX Oasis. Authorities allege these properties were acquired with the proceeds of the illegal activities and are subject to forfeiture.

The arrests and seizures are the latest developments in an ongoing investigation that initially targeted the Jung Organization, which smuggled South Korean women into the United States and provided the women to brothel operators, where they worked off smuggling fees as high as $15,000. Young Joon Jung and 23 other individuals were charged in indictments first announced by federal officials in July 2005. Fifteen of those defendants, including Jung, have pleaded guilty. Five subjects are awaiting trial and four remain at large. After Jung’s arrest, ICE and IRS-CID continued to investigate leads uncovered in the case. Those leads resulted in the indictment of Mao and the most recent enforcement actions.

“ICE is working with its law enforcement partners here and overseas to dismantle the entire organization,” said Kevin Kozak, acting special agent in charge for ICE investigations in Los Angeles. “We are targeting not only those responsible for the alleged smuggling of the women, but also the illicit financial activities and monetary assets that supported this criminal enterprise.”

“IRS-CID is dedicated to the aggressive pursuit of all financial crimes and is eager to participate with our law enforcement partners in a variety of criminal investigations,” said Jean Divine, IRS-CID acting special agent in charge.

Bail Set For Santa Ana Alleged Brothel Operator

(CBS) SANTA ANA A magistrate in Santa Ana set bail at $100,000 Wednesday for a man, 51, arrested for his alleged role in the operation of brothels where women worked as prostitutes to pay off smuggling fees.

Randall Johnson of Los Angeles was named in a 40-count grand jury indictment, along with alleged brothel operator Jong Ock Mao, 47, of West Covina, Edward Lutt, 43, of Paramount, and Charles Fields, 49, of Long Beach, who remains a fugitive, according to Assistant U.S. Attorney Carmen Luege.

Johnson and Lutt, who was in court Tuesday, were ordered to appear Monday for arraignment in U.S. District Court in Santa Ana, Luege said.

Mao was arrested in Madisonville, Texas, Tuesday and appeared Wednesday in a Houston courtroom, where her bail was set at $150,000, Luege said.

It was not known if she would be returned to California by Monday to appear for arraignment, Luege said.

Search warrants were served Tuesday at eight Los Angeles-area locations, including three suspected brothels in Baldwin Park, Inglewood and South Gate, and three homes, including those of Mao and Lutt and the Canyon Country residence of Mao's bookkeeper, Virginia Kice of U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement said.

ICE agents in Dallas searched a suspected brothel known as the Paradise Spa, where four women were taken into custody, Kice said. Two were booked on state prostitution charges, and the other two were being held on administrative immigration violations, she said.

Charges against Mao, Lutt, Fields and Johnson include conspiracy, money laundering and using the mails to set up an illegal business, such as sending applications for licenses to Sacramento and Dallas, Kice said.

The indictment was an offshoot of an ongoing investigation that initially targeted the Jung Organization, which smuggled South Korean women into the United States and turned them over to brothel operators to work off fees as high as $15,000, Luege said.

Fifteen of the two-dozen people charged in that case, including Young Joon Jung, have pleaded guilty. Five are awaiting trial and four remain at large, Luege said.

The four people charged in the latest indictment, which was returned by a grand jury on April 5 and unsealed Tuesday, do not face smuggling charges.

"They are the end users of the smuggling chain," said supervising ICE Agent Buckley Thomas. "They were not the people responsible for smuggling." Dozens of women were caught up in the operations, Thomas said.
Most of the women knew they were coming to the United States to work as prostitutes and did so willingly, but investigators will try to determine if any of them were victimized in other ways, such as being held against their will, Kice said.

They will be interviewed for a decision on whether they should be prosecuted or deported, Kice said.

I've seen a couple of posts calling for the information being shared to cease, or be severly limited. Remember, there are other forums, due to this forums restrictions I can't mention them by name, but suffice it to say there is at least one review site that caters directly to massage parlor reviews. It has much more detail than was ever here.
I view this forum as a place to discuss the various establishments, what is generally available, who is hot or not, etc. Hopefully, this kinds of posts will continue in the future.
Viewing the posts that were quotes from the media, it is very apparent that law enforcement is very focused on the criminal enterprise. It must have taken quite a bit of effort to tie several establishments to the few individuals mentioned. I'd venture to say, that very little of the information here added much benefit to LE. They know what kind of businesses these were. If they were simply looking to bust the brothels, they would have simply sent in officers to obtain services. They could have short-cut their entire investigation to just a few days work. That is not what they did. They instead spend much time looking into the financial dealings and other business these people were into.
While it might seem useful to withhold information, it really isn't protecting or assisting anyone. If anything, it is probably hurting the very businesses that we seek to protect.
I haven't seen anything to say that Tokyo Accupressure, Sues, or what ever Hillcrest is currently named. I'd have to guess these are still operating at full tilt. If that is the case, and we all withhold information and keep saying that Inglewood is a ghost town, well then it will truely become a ghost town, because it will cause many of us from other areas to not even take the chance in going there.

Sadly, I have to agree with my fellow mongers. I think that our hobby is under attack, and it's not going to let up any time soon. I agree that we should be more discreet about our postings, though it's going to make the board less informative. Although I agree that using PMs is not as open, if LE is seriously using this board for info, I'm sure that they will access even our PMs. I guess the only safe path is to make more trips to TJ or to farther destinations. Actually, if you can get to these places it's less expensive per fuck and, since the hobby is legal in these other places, there are more consistently beautiful women, who know how to treat you well.

I'd be interested to see if any of the recent 40 count indictment by the feds had anything to do with prostitution. These were very popular places, yet their downfall didn't appear to be a direct investigation of their alleged prostitution practices.

If you're to believe the IRS press release, these most recent closures were an outgrowth of a smuggling investigation.

OA's closure last year was spurred by an investigation by some CA state agency that oversees the training of masseuses. Apparently, some of the workers at OA had obtained their documentation (permits?) improperly.

The only other major closure of recent memory would by Hou's in Southgate (the Costco of MPs). I don't recall what motivated that closure. But I seem to recall some local city official scandal going on at the same time.

NO, prostitution is NOT a local issue. Local governments only add to state law. It is a STATE issue because prostitution is illegal in ALL states, except Nevada.

It is a FEDERAL issue because as US citizens, we have the right to life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness. We also have the right of privacy, as do the providers. Current laws DENY OUR RIGHTS. They go further by denying the provider the chance to earn a living by providing service to a CONSENTING adult.

These busts appear to not have much to do with prositution. To me it appears that the leader(s) that ran these establishments have ticked off LE and now LE has a Raging HardOn for them and anyone who is associated with the leaders.

Additionally, in the busts last summer, they seized quite a bit of cash, and tons of assets, to the tune of millions of dollars. These busts were really not much more than a cash grab. Now those agencies have some funding, that will help offset the investigations. In the eyes of the leaders of these LE agencies, these cops have earned their keep.

The other AMP's may or may not get busted soon. I'd say it has a lot to do with the owners, and exactly what they are up to. Remember, these are criminal organizations. There could be all kinds of crimes, murder, rape, beatings, etc. LE may not have been able to get the evidence for those crimes, but they sure got evidence on something they could use to take all of these peoples posessions.

Although the busts seem massive, really its not. They took down one person or group that happened to run a bunch of these establishments.

Remember, there are all kinds of enforement agencies. The agencies that inspect for massage therapist permits, may not be the Police, but they do have an enforement authority.

I drove up to Club LaPaz yesterday at around noon and was surprised to find an empty parking lot, and then I realized the place was closed. Sorry to say I haven't kept myself updated with recent events, but I just drove away and went to Ginja.

I seem to have caught a glimpse of bits of news regarding IPD doing some clean ups (again) but was not informed of the details.

Ginja's parking lot was full, and so was street parking around the vicinity.. and Monica was obviously having a ball with all these customers she had to take care of, making sure we ask for her by name next time we visit.

Wonder where all those LS and LP girls have gone to?

Across the ValueMAXX, I tried one of three places. Usually it is wham bam thank you asian ma'am. No different here but the view was very good. The girl was named Penney as in JC Penney. So my hunt for a new favorite amp contines. I went back down Normandie to the place I went to previously, given how pretty the receptionist (mms?) and provider were last time. Went for the full hour this time.

Time will tell all. Since the busts were Federal busts, I doubt the Feds would have much interest in running a sting. That doesn't count local LE. If local LE were interested in running the sting, the time to have done it was same/next day so that information regarding the busts wouldn't travel so far in the community.
I know, the media covered it probably same day, but OUR community is largely by these postings, which are sometimes delayed by the moderator, or the individual just can't post quickly, not to mention, not all of us can check in every day either. So, a next day sting would likely gather many from OUR community :(

Tokyo Accupressure, reported to have been closed for remodeling for a few weeks, it is definitely open. Saw a happy customer leaving via the front door. The SOB actually had two unopened beverages, a water and a diet-cola. How the hell does he rate to get two drinks!?

Joo is scheduled to be sentenced June 8, 2007 on two felony counts for violating the state education code in connection with the operations of JHJ Education College.

Sunhi Lee, 56, and Wilford Thomas Johnson, 77 – two of the six people originally indicted in the case in 2004 – will be sentenced Aug. 17 on one count each of pandering for the purpose of prostitution.

The three other names listed in the original indictment, unsealed in June 2004, were Guy Sullivan Wilson, 40, Tami Vanover, 51, and Maria Molina, 23.

In September 2003, sheriff’s investigators served search warrants at several locations, including Oriental Acupressure, JHJ and the homes of some of the suspects being investigated, according to the District Attorney’s Office.

Evidence along with $2.4 million in cash was seized and led to the case being taken to the Los Angeles County grand jury, prosecutors said.

Authorities alleged that many of the massage technicians employed by the Inglewood business were working under fraudulently obtained certificates declaring them qualified technicians.

Numerous prostitution arrests have been made at the business by Inglewood police since 1990, according to prosecutors.
