First, sorry to hear about Bob's C-n-D. That sucks. Thanks for the info though. Since things have been slow recently I have widened my search radius to include that area. I'll bump it back down to normal areas with Bob's experience in mind.

Was out late tonight/early morning cruising. Found absolutely nothing. Might've been the rain, but never really stopped some of the ladies before. What really hit me was the immense amount of LE out. HUGE presence in the south. Saw 2 wagons and at least half a dozen cruisers. Was out from 1-3 with no luck.

Any reports on Sara?? Someone asked about Toni a while back too. Haven't seen her around either. Miss her and Sara both, although I've partied with Sara within the last month or so.

Sorry Bob - I see this happening to guys over and over again despite all the good advice on this board. No worries - every guy on here who has done this for awhile has had a bad experience - from rip off to bad service to whatever. It goes with the hobby.

I had my first "dash with the cash" expierience on the east side Wednesday evening. I know...should have known better and I have read the good advice here from Senior members many many times. There is a first and last time for everything, and I accomplished both at once with this one. The details:
Spotted a girl who called herself Crissy at the corner of East Broadway and Greenwood. Nice looking, long blond hair past her shoulders, fit and trim with ample chest...about a 7-8 overall on a 10 scale. Pulled up to East Broadway from Greenwood and gave her the look. She asked if I could give her a ride and she hopped right in. She immediately gave the LE check and I reciprocated. She announced the menu right away, and we agreed on a full course meal for $.4 w/everything covered. She then asked if she could use my phone to which I respectfully declined stating traceability concerns. Here is where I made my mistake. She tells me that payment is in advance and she needs to stop at a carryout for protection. No problem so far as she goes in while I wait in the parking lot. While she was in the carrryout, I turned off my phone and put it away. As soon as she returned she commented on the fact my phone was no longer there. She directs me to Arden St. and points out the general vicinity of her house, but asks that I drive up to the corner or Arden and Greenwood so she could take some of the money to pay her babysitter. I was to wait at the corner. Well, you guys know what happened from there. She disappeared into the fog never to be seen again. I waited 15 minutes, which seemed like more than a reasonable time to me. Lesson learned. Anyone else know of her and had any similar expieriences. I'm sure I have seen her out and about in this vicinity before while driving through on other trips. I wonder if I were to see her again if I should attempt to ask her to follow through for $ already paid. I wonder if I pissed her off with the phone thing also. Any thoughts or comments would be appreciated. Just wanted everyone to know to watch out and proceed diligently with this one. Sorry this was so long and winded but wanted to get all the details out.

I've not been out during the holidays, as I've been busy with many other things. Sorry to hear about Bob's experience, but I think you probably made a good move and saved your phone from being stolen, too. Keep in mind these girls are (typically) not looking for pleasure, to get off, or any romance. We are only temporarily holding 'their' cash until they can get their hands on it.

TOLEDO — Federal authorities are focusing on teenage prostitution being exported from northwest Ohio but are at a loss to explain why the problem was found there, The Toledo Blade reported Sunday.

Federal investigators in Washington last month charged 31 people with taking teenagers, including at least nine from the Toledo area, across state lines for prostitution.

"We here in Toledo had no idea that this was going on," Dave Bauer, an assistant U.S. attorney in Toledo told The Blade in the first of a three-part series.

Although the girls, some as young as 12, were recruited in Toledo they quickly were shuttled across the country and "would quite easily fly under our radar screens," Bauer said.

The teens were rotated among motels, truck stops, and highway welcome centers, the newspaper said.

Deb Hodges, administrator of Probation Services for Lucas County Juvenile Court, was another of those shocked by the discovery.

"We had one of the federal investigators tell us that Toledo was the No. 1 recruiting spot in the United States," Hodges said. "It was mind-boggling."

While federal officials have detailed the inner workings of the Toledo-based prostitution ring, they can't explain why a handful of local pimps became such big players on the national scene.

"Everybody has been saying, 'Why Toledo? Why Toledo?' And we don't know why," said John Stossel, one of the FBI agents leading the investigation.

The indictments, part of a child-prostitution crackdown called "Innocence Lost," spelled out the high level of organization among pimps who managed the business: setting prices, establishing work schedules, and negotiating turf.

Gordon Zubrod, an assistant federal prosecutor in Harrisburg, Pa., called it a "loose confederacy" of pimps, each with his own turf but enough reason to get along.

"It's to their benefit to cooperate," he said.

The local network expanded two years ago, after a federal crackdown on another national sex-for-hire operation in Oklahoma City.

"This opened the door," Zubrod said.

The indictments tracked coast-to-coast wire transfers totaling hundreds of thousands of dollars.

The reasons for the girls entering prostitution are many, federal officials said.

Some are kidnapped and forced into the sex trade by violence. Others find "prostitution is a continuation of the victim's sexual exploitation, not the beginning," FBI assistant director Chris Swecker said last month in Washington.

Others leave home "for the thrill of it," stumbling into forced prostitution along the way, said Jim Anderson, a Toledo police missing-persons detectives. "They're 14, 15 years old. What do they really know at that age?"

It was the "sophistication and the organization of the whole network" that stunned Mike Brennan, a longtime Lucas County juvenile probation officer.

"I was blind-sided by the magnitude of it. When I got a call from a federal prosecutor, I was like, 'Yeah, yeah, it's probably some overzealous prosecutor,'" he said.

Evidently, it has. I was passing thru and thought I'd take a stroll or two this afternoon. Went South St to north on Broadway...immediately after turning, I saw a cop car sitting in the parking lot between Mickey D's and Taco Bell. Further up on a side street near Segur, saw two more. Turned around and came back, one was going north on B'way. Decided to bug out and stroll up Lagrange. Sure enough, one was parked on a street parallel to and just south of the AW Trail where it intersects with Lagrange and had another one pass me as I was going north on Lagrange.

Didn't see anything on B'way. Saw one small blonde, she looked rather hollow-eyed, wearing a dark coat, near the IGA. Also saw two young long-haired blondes (late teens/early 20s?) just south of the IGA. One was getting close to being in the "tons of fun" category, the other was PDG (pretty darn good) looking, from what I could tell (she was wearing a school letter jacket and blue jeans...she filled those jeans out nicely). The TOF gal was wearing a dark-colored hooded sweater.

Interesting; I was working on the east side yesterday, and decided to take EBroadway back towards downtown. There was LE at the corner of EBroadway and Woodville, and another on the road by that bar painted like a flag. Then, another at Starr.
I thought that with the new year, new chief, mayor and new budget that maybe they were just putting plenty of cars out there to be seen. Now, I'm thinking it may have something to do with those teenagers, too.
With the fairly decent weather, I couldn't tell if the people were B/WSW or just people walking around. Too much traffic and LE for me to catch the look.

And, I just love that "3rd Grade" post at CL, Bad Bird. Toledo Public is doing a great job! No wonder she can't drive a car.

Could not get too close, but thought I saw the provider sitting on the steps being questioned. Hope this was not one of the fellow mongers here. LE was out in force on south side and east side. Spotted one possible SW off Western by the library but was bundled up in coat with hood preventing any recon. Be safe!

Picked up Cat (that's what her name was, she said) the other night. On Oak Str., efter the gas station, after Viking at the little deli shop at the traffic light. I believe it's Navarre/Oak. I picked up the Sunday newspaper yesterday, and right on the front page, with the headline above the fold, was a big story about young runaways ending up on the streets, making cash any way they can. I think it is a follow-up story to a series that the paper had a while ago about SW's.

The problem I see, is that when One of America's Newspapers gets onto a story line, they pound it to death until something happens. I'm thinking that the paper is applying pressure to the city to do something about the young runaways, which is a good thing. It's the 'of-age' providers that will also feel the sting, and I hope none of us will get tripped up in anything.

But, I'm sure that the older girls out there working will feel the pinch when the clean-up happens. Keep your eyes out and be safe in the near future. One senior member observed that these things go in cycles, and I'd have to agree with that. There will likely be some official activity due to the press that the issue is getting, and then it will taper off. One of my favorite parts of the local daily is the Pages of Opinion. Usually very funny stuff there, and I'm eagerly waiting to see what the general response to the front page story will be. That will probably be the best indicator of what the LE might do.

One way to get rid of Spam on Craigs List is to do a search for anything with your local area code(s) in it. These searches will provide you only with ads that have a local phone number in them. Live in IL and tried it in the Chicago section since there are some ads posted there for areas outside of the city- it cut down on the rubbish imensely although got no one close. Just tried the other Chicago area odes and found that using all of them one had about 10% of the ads were real.

Have you noticed that the Craigslist 'erotic' section is now almost entirely junk? I'm not sure if the term is Spam or exactly what the term should be, but it is all those 888 numbers and websites. There are virtually NO more real postings that I can find.

Then, when you look at the Casual Encountes area, all of a sudden there are tons of gay guys posting. Unfortunatley, not too many ladies from the Glass City are finding their way to CL.

I was reading threw some earlier post, about the no-tells. And ended up at “Star Motel” the other night. Hooked up with Rose for 30. She is the redhead in the back corner room. Last week on the TV news there was a story about a guy from Lansing (?) who had room #28 at the Bedford Inn. He was cooking up meth there for a week. Somebody ratted him out and the cops started surveillance on the place. When he finally came out of the room, he was busted. They said he had a warrant from somewhere else in Mich, too. News crew had great footage of the haz mat team cleaning up the meth materials.
The motel management said he didn't want the maid service, so they never went into the room, and of course they didn't know what was going on in there.
The news said the management has changed the policy and now the maids go in to every room once a day.

So, be careful with the patrols looking for both drugs and couples having fun at the area no-tells. There is always the Alexis Motel, and one south on Telegraph that might be an alternative for a while.

I was in a hurry in the rain this week, and ran out to my car on the way to work a couple of days ago. Once in the car, I realized I forgot something, and ran back to get it. On the way back out, something about my car looked odd; I realized that although the car was running and the headlights were ON, there were no 'running' lights, or whatever those red lights are called that turn on when the headlights are on. When you are driving, there is no way to tell if the lights on the back of the car are working or not.

Turns out there was a loose wire that caused the lights on all 4 corners of the car to fail, although the brake and turn signals still worked.

So, now that it is dark early in the morning and early in the evening, take a minute to walk around your car and be sure all those pesky little lights are working, even the one that lights up your license plate. A dollar light bulb and five minutes now might save you a ton of problems down the road. I am quite sure that the local constable will point this out for you eventually!

I will agree, Sara is truly a rare find. But, I have heard the getting clean story from her before. She always gets sucked back in to the south end and that is where the trouble starts for her. Some of you may know already that Sassy's on Laskey Rd is under new management, it's now called 'Summer's Angels'.
For those that don't know, it's similar to Kim's in that it's a lingerie modeling studio, but a lot more discreet. The negative about the place is there's only 2-3 girls working at a time. Summer told me Sara will be back to work there soon after the New Year, if she's the one I'm thinking of she is a must see, about 5'2", 105 lbs, and cute as hell.

They named the usual spots – Lagrange and the East Side but I was surprised about the Ashland near Bancroft location mentioned because I haven’t seen anyone out and about there to speak of for years.

Glad to see that in this time of severe budget crisis in Toledo that there is money to wage such a full sweeping sting operation for what would seem a low priority offense. Actually I wouldn’t be surprised that the majority of these girls were just girls out enjoying the nice weather hanging around and some undercover solicits them. I bet they just got trapped thinking they could pick up a couple bucks but don’t normally actively trick on a day to day basis.

Really wish the hypocrites in society didn’t regulate morality. Lawmakers and bible thumpers are the first ones to have a mistress on the side or attack young boys in a back room of the church.

Don’t know how our stupid laws can be changed.

Hopefully the jails are too full to keep these girls for not doing anything worse than the lawmakers and enforcers do every day.

I checked out Livelinks again and again it was a big waste of time, I arranged to meet a black girl at her apartment, she gave me directions and I called her when I got there and she told me the apt #. I knock on the door, no answer, I call her phone , no answer. After I have left she calls me, I asked her why she didn't answer the door and she said she thought I was younger, well she never asked my age. But now she says she wants me to come back, but I figured I've wasted enough time with her.

She assures me she's not like that, and maybe if I just gave her $25 to give the babysitter and I could pay the rest later. I told her I wasn't going to pay anything in advance and took off.
I wonder how many guys she scams with this one, and I don't think she can get charged with soliciting.

Every once in a while I call Kim's to see who's working. A couple nights ago I called, phone rang 5-6 times, no answer. I tried again a few minutes later, still no answer.
I wasn't far away so I drove by, All the lights were on and even the neon 'Open' sign was lit up but it didn't look right. There were no cars out front, usually Kim's car is right up in front of the building and some of the girls park along the left side.

p-town has always been self-sufficient in prostitution. companies come and go, but the streetwalking industry has always been strong and steady.

that's why it's so strange that a gent from the state of ohio has been arrested by federal agents there for allegedly hauling hookers into peoria.

a five-count federal indictment filed in ohio charges kevin murphy, 48, of toledo with compelling and promoting prostitution. he allegedly transported women across state lines to three cities; several went to washington state and michigan, while four were brought to peoria.

in one of his out-of-state travels, murphy allegedly brought a juvenile along with adult women. but he took only adult women to peoria, charges state.

beyond that, federal authorities in ohio will say nothing about the matter. murphy, who faces up 30 years' imprisonment, is being held at a county lock-up in ohio.

what is murphy's connection to peoria? good question.

according to the toledo blade newspaper, murphy owns a private club in toledo, population 285,000. also, the paper says he has been arrested several times in toledo, including charges of domestic violence. sounds like he has roots in toledo.

further, he is not mentioned in records at the journal star or the peoria county circuit clerk's office. and the u.s. attorney's office in peoria has no investigation of murphy.

"everything must be happening out in toledo," says assistant u.s attorney tom keith.

i spoke with an ohio source familiar with the murphy case, who said with a laugh, "i don't mean to be rude, but why would peoria be interested in prostitutes?"

my reply: i don't want to be rude, but since when is toledo a hotbed of hookers?

turns out, we both had a little to learn about midwest prostitution.

toledo has become a recruitment center for hookers, including **** girls. federal authorities - who last year charged 31 men and women with transporting girls and women across state lines - have no real idea why or how toledo pimps became so proficient as hooker head-hunters.

once recruited, the newbies are brutalized. stories in the blade have detailed a history of violent abuse by pimps, including rapes and marathon beatings.

from toledo, recruits are often led 420 miles east to harrisburg, pa. there, five major highways converge, allowing for a booming prostitution business at truck stops. plus, pimps often rent rooms at a cheap motel, spread the word and work the joint for a weekend.

murphy hasn't been connected to the harrisburg operations. still, that sort of angle could occur in peoria. an out-of-town entrepreneur could hear about peoria's timeworn taste for skin bars and cheap hookers, then decide to try some quick business here.

the feds won't say what became of the four interloping toledo hookers after their trip to peoria. for all we know, they headed back to ohio.

Been to Toledo a number of times the last few years, prior to discovering the forum were not real productive. In the past I had managed to more often than nt get lucky in the area just NW of downtown, just SE of the big hospital complex. I have a bad problem remembeing street names. I see in the Blade Saturday that there was another sting Friday the 13th and last Wednesday. The strange thing is they took place from 6:30 A.M. to 1 P.M. "city wide"

Several months ago there was a great looking blonde over at Bella's named Honey. Really a good looking girl, and was decent to talk to. Turns out she could be persuaded to get together outside the place.

Hurt my hand a few months ago, making it difficult to type. So putting off non-work related typing, until now. They don't need facts, they don't need to prove that they didn't solicit you. They need nothing. The fact that you picked this girl up alone may be all they need to send you up the creek for 60 days!

Your life is in tatters. You will sit around waiting for your trial date. The jury is no guarantee of getting off.

I just want to say go to Canada (1 hour away and its Legal there guys! ). If you have to buy American find someone you know, and can trust! Take your time, don't pay if you don't have to. Find a friendly girl at the club or something.

Walk away if anything is fishy. Do a cop check? God this still seems risky, what if a cop says you grabbed her? Perhaps ask her for a cop check? I don't know. This I am no expert on. But for heavens sake don't say or request anything that can be used against you in court. This is very, very, serious business. Don't for a moment think otherwise. This can ruin your family, your life, your career. Ask yourself if its worth it?

Sorry, I think my last posting was missing the beginning perhaps a little bit confusing. I was going to say if you run a search you will see more details ("Ricky" + "wauseon" + "guilty"). What I wrote down was the true story of how the court procedings played out. Trying to shed some light on this. I think there just isn't enough talk about the reallity of this activity.

This has become sort of a witch hunt for the police department as of late. I think it is more than likely seasonal. I just have seen both sides of this and want you guys to be informed. I used to be one of those guys who well lets face it I love women and I treated this as I do any of my other "hobbies".

Never really thought this could lead me to any trouble though. Its all sort of an adventure when you are out just driving your car up and down streets, loooking for a "hot babe. In this country any sort of a criminal record will make it so you can not get a decent job again.companies routinely do criminal checks. Think about how your record is going to look with "Misdimeanor C Soliciting" beaming on it. Yeah you'll be lucky to get a job at McDonalds with Felons at that rate. Your companies HR deptartment probably follows the news in the local area. Some of these things I guess I never really thought about too much. I was one of those guys who thought they were a step ahead of everyone. Thinking I was smart enough to play the game but not get burned by it.

Well trust me no one here is that smart. There are too many things that can go wrong. "1" Disease "2"The Law "3" Get robbed, get beat up, get stabbed. "4" Get your wheels taken (yes by the police) "5" Get your reputation shot in the community, and a criminal record "6" Do jail time? Possible yes. Up to 60 days. "7" lose your wife and not in a good way, although this may be enticing to many of us.

I wish I could tell you that there is some sure fired method of avoiding all these problems. Hell I would love to be able to have some fun and not wonder if I am walking into a trap. That said, I am advocating going to Canada. This is the safest and most sensible thing to do. We have a unique opportunity being so close to the border. It just makes perfect sense.

There are a couple of other decent methods for finding ladies other than Craigslist and the Street. I recommend using them. Stay clear of Ero's, Craigslist, and the Street. These are by far the worst places to do this hobby.

I know a lot of guys like the fact that the street is Cheap. But its definately not worth the risk you are better off spending 200 bucks in Canada and getting an outcall to your Hotel where you know what you are getting from a decent quality provider than using one of these crack heads on the street for 20 bucks. What's your life worth?

Traveling through Lagrange St on the way home from Detroit at 2 AM Thursday morning I noticed 2 police cars at the car wash between Manhattan and the expressway. There was a car parked inside one of the bays - the cops had all their lights on that car and questioning the occupants. Then I saw an undercover cop come out of the bay and get into his red Chevy pick up truck. He pulled out onto Lagrange right behind me - I assumed he likely was checking me out - as to why I was out and about at that time. I kept my speed up and didn't act like I was mongering then turned off onto the Greenbelt Parkway.

I can only assume the car in the car wash bay was preparing to receive a bj thinking he would be inconspicuous. Perhaps so - but not at 2 am... I also assume the red Chevy saw him pick up the girl.
