Police Search For Alleged Madam

COLUMBUS, Ohio -- Two California women were arrested and charged with engaging in prostitution after a massage parlor was raided Friday afternoon.
The raid took place at the Ocean Health Spa, located at 4392 Indianola Ave., at about 2:30 p.m., NBC 4's Erin Tate reported.
Bags of condoms and $15,000 in cash that was wrapped in aluminum foil were taken from the business at about 2:30 p.m.
Columbus police and Franklin County sheriff's deputies executed a search warrant inside the massage parlor, alleging that much more was taking place inside.
The business was a front for organized prostitution, according to Franklin County Chief Deputy Steve Martin.
The women who were arrested are both 50 years old, Tate reported. A male customer was inside the business at the time of the undercover operation, but he was not arrested, Tate reported.
Law enforcement was looking for several other suspected prostitutes who work at the Ocean Health Spa, along with the madam who is suspected of running the operation. Authorities did not release her name but said she faces more serious charges of promoting prostitution.
"It's sort of almost like a slave trade," said Franklin County Chief Deputy Steve Martin. "These females are shipped from one location to another, all over the country. Every time we get driver's licenses or ID from them, we get them from Boston, L.A., Houston, Texas."
Martin said the operator of the Ocean Health Spa is different from the person who ran the Oasis Health Spa at the exact location. The Oasis Health Spa was raided in June for similar crimes, along with the Jade Clinic, located on East Dublin-Granville Road.

Hello, all. New to the boards. Very informative. So far, i have enjoyed reading through some of the posts. I find myself nodding my head as I have shared in the same experiences with some of the same ladies as i've seen posted here.
I was just wondering if anyone else has been to the Chirapsia Spa. I am not much of a SW guy. I tend to play it safe and stick with the parlors. A bit expensive but well worth it IMO.
I wanted to share my experience in Chirapsia. I will be very vague for obvious reasons, but it was money well spent. The only bad thing is that since Ocean Spa was hit (the bust is posted on here), the place was packed. The massage was very short lived, but the ending was so sweet. I don't know how they feel about asking for a particular girl, but "Lisa" was excellent. Looks like a very hot school teacher, if you're into that. Very nice face and body.
Anyways, looking to swap stories and hear of any other parlors that anyone else has been to and had good "massages".

I guess that there was another massage parlor bust at Cleveland and Morse today. The bad thing is that the news reported that they kept complete records with names of their customers. All of that info was confiscated by Vice.
At least, the SWs keeps all of their info in their heads.
The MP that was busted is Chirapsia. It seems that LE is quick to catch on to where JOHNS are headed after one place is shut down.

I don't know how they would get info on customers unless they somehow ran your plates.
When I first visited the spa after they opened, you signed a card about massage for theraputic purposes only etc. I hope no one here would bother to sign a real name.
It's interesting, because I was there this past week and it was business as usual. With the recent bust, no wonder everyone seemed glad to see me.

Based on where they advertised. I suspect they provided similar services to some of our old watering holes.

What is it, and where is it?
Will be in town and was wondering if the two AMP's near the airport are still open. One was behind a gas station / across from a Strip club. The other was up the road a few miles, I believe to the north.
Also, waht is the general location of LC?
Tribal- The place across from the strip club is still open. Typical jack shack, not really an AMP. The other place that was up the road was the Four Seasons which was a reliable AMP, but it was closed down a number of years ago, at least four.
yeah Setman is correct, Four Seasons has been closed for a while and the other spot is a waste of time and money. You will have a hard time finding a decent AMP in C0Bus now, they are always busting those places now.

I just got back from Orlando. They have them everywhere (99% are HJ), but much nicer there vs here. I just don't know why they are picking on AMPs. Why don't they bug the HIV+ SW.
Probably in 6 months they will pop up in a new location. Be pateint. Maybe if they didn't advertise in the paper and let word of mouth spread they would stay open longer.

It has been weeks without a massage. I saw an ad from an asian hair salon and they had massage as a listed option. So I booked a massage, I thought who knows what I could convice her to do for jackson's sake.

Last week visited LC Therapy while visiting from Tampa. Before coming I noticed in the posts that my two previous AMP's had been closed so I decided to check out LC. I was under the impression that all the good massage parlors were shut down by the CPD. I was a regular at the OAsis (RIP) and I was just wondering what the LC was? Is that the one on Cleveland Ave? If it is I have been there a couple of times. Both times were good experiences if you know what I mean. Someone please let me know what the LC is, I appreciate it.

I believe the name of the parlor is "JUK", not PUK. It's off of Hamilton road south of I70, about a quarter of a mile. You can find the ad in the Dispatch sports section. Find the ad and you will have all the info. you need to locate it.

2 Women Arrested At Suspected Brothel Third Employee Sought

COLUMBUS, Ohio -- Columbus vice officers raided a suspected brothel on the city's north side Friday.
Investigators said the business, LC Therapy, claims to be a massage parlor, but officers said they found evidence of prostitution at the facility near Cleveland Avenue and Dublin-Granville Road, NBC 4's Erin Tate reported.
"It's called LC Therapy, and it purports to be an Asian massage parlor that gives customers legitimate massages -- but for an added fee, they do sexual acts," an undercover officer said.
Detectives said some of the workers were also living in the storefront.
Two women were arrested and charged with promoting and engaging in prostitution -- Ji Yeon Hicks and the alleged madam, 57-year-old Toyon Hawk.
"Our goal is not just hit this and have it right back open next week. We try to go for long term results and to do that you have to go after the people that are running the organization," an officer said.
Hawk's home and vehicle were also searched. Inside the business, authorities found hundreds of dollars, detectives said.
Officers are also working with the city attorney's office on a nuisance abatement clause in an effort to padlock the business on a more permanent basis.
Police did not charge several customers found at the business on Friday but said they are looking to arrest a third employee.

I went to try out JUK tonight. I rang the door bell and as I waited I saw a 40+? year old overweight woman come out of one of the rooms. More like YUK. ...and yes you can see right inside. Before anyone came to the door to let me in.. I hightailed it out of there. Boy the quality of massuese have gone down hill. Columbus officials aim to crack down on prostitution by taking on massage parlors.
The City Council will soon debate legislation that would make it easier for police to shut down parlors where massages are a prelude to sex, said Councilman Michael C. Mentel, the measure’s sponsor.
"This legislation will help protect legitimate massage therapy businesses while giving officers a tool to go after the bad actors," he said.
Mentel’s proposal would:
• Require those giving massages to remain clothed.
• Allow only massage therapists licensed by the Ohio Medical Board to advertise that they are licensed. The rule would end a confusing practice in which untrained masseurs and masseuses obtain a city permit, which the city calls a license, and then advertise that they are licensed.
• Remove a little-used clause in the city code that makes it illegal for someone to give a massage to someone of the opposite sex. City attorneys fear it could be challenged.
• Give police the power to enter massage parlors to verify the new licensing requirements.
The changes in the city code also would make it easier for the city to shut down businesses that don’t meet the requirements.
"It’s not geared toward places that are already licensed by the state," Assistant City Attorney Bridget Carty said. "It’s geared toward those who all of a sudden decide they want to be in the massage business."
Legitimate therapists are among those who asked for the restrictions.
The way Columbus currently licenses those who give massages is confusing, said Rick Greely, a state-licensed massage therapist who lobbied for the changes.
"We hear all the time people thought they were going in for a massage and get offered more. And then there are those who go into a legitimate massage parlor thinking they’ll get something else," Greely said.
Greely and other members of the Ohio chapter of the American Massage Therapy Association wanted Columbus to stop classifying city permits for any type of massage business as "licenses."
The city code doesn’t require any level of training to obtain a license as a "massage technician" and then advertise as an "LMT."
A state-licensed massage therapist must complete nine months of classes and 750 hours of training, and pass a test issued by the State Medical Board to earn credentials as an LMT, a licensed massage therapist.
"The public probably in most cases doesn’t know the difference," Greely said.
Carty said she knows of only one time authorities used the code prohibiting massages to customers of the opposite sex. The charge was challenged in court but upheld.
"But we had concerns with it, so we’re taking it off the books," she said.
Franklin County has 887 state-licensed massage therapists, said Joan Wehrle, spokeswoman for the State Medical Board. City-issued permits are held by 36 people in Columbus.

This place is strictly DIY and expensive. Its been around a long time, so some people must like that, but no touching and no getting within a foot of the girl.

Door fee is $60 for an hour massage. Tip for services is extra. Epect to tip from $50 to $150 depending on level of additional services requested.

I do not think there are any amp's in or around Columbus. Many good ones were shut down inthe last 2-3 years by LE.

I dropped by Miko's on Saturday morning and had a GREAT time.

Akron is closer if you are in that area. YMMV there (I have only been there once) If you don't mind older and rush (as others have mentioned) Springfield is ok. I prefer the Cinci area in KY or IN.

I went there to experience all the reviews on Friday night after my dinner at Texas Roadhouse. Was in town for some business at Wittenberg University on 05-09-2008. Pepsi gave a crappy massage. She talked to much. It was like she couldn't talk and do massage at same time. She was nice but too much talking. Especially since she told me she had a 1100PM appointment at 1015PM. She told me the area is very depending on fees because there is no big competition. I paid $40.00 for door fee and $100 for FS and CBJ. Last year, in May, I dreamed that I drove from Columbus to Louisville by way of Springfield and Dayton.
I had a brief rest at a house on High St. in Springfield that left me VERY relaxed and VERY happy to continue my trip.

I visited last week around noon. Be aware this is located in a VERY BUSY place. BTW. Services & prices post on TA letter head on the door. So this place may be legit in some strange way. Small room [15 x 15] in back of the place. Looks like one girl working & living there 24/7. Saw her bed & personal affects in one corner behind screen. I went to the 5385 Sinclair spot about four years ago. Idrove all the way from the Dayton area. I got there to that run down building with the steps. It had a neon sign out front.
I get let in and thinking I'm in for some nice action. I try to pick the brunette with nice looking c/d boobies but she's tired or busy. If you are from Cincy, your best bet would be to go west, either to Louisville or Indianapolis. Most of OH and central KY has been cleaned out by LE. There are still quite a few places open in WV, but it is a longer haul to get there than the other two.

You can get probably get a legit massage from a LMT, but as far as a good massage & a happy ending, dude this town sucks. LEO has put them all out of business. YMMV on CL, most are a waste of time from my experience. There too spooked half the time & think your LEO.

Hi, new here just joined today. I have been reading with interest the reports of R&R Massage. I have been there three times myself. Like everyone else the first two times all that was available was just the massage. However the second time the lady mentioned that Krystal provided other services. This is true. I saw her last week and she will definetley take care of you. Session lasts an hour and she got me off twice. I will warn you though the session with the exstras (she calls herself the options girl the places best kept secret) is exspensive. It will run you 275. If you have it too spend though it is well worth it.

Nikki is a small person new in this business. Neither is she as sophisticated as Heather or Kristi. Nor does she know anything about massage. She offers the same packages that H&K offer. Overall her lack of experience and nervousness made the session less enjoyable for the price.
