Haven't been out since two days before Xmas, but I did hook up with a WSW on W. 25th, maybe a 3 or 4 but very nice and very accommodating, clean, . 30 bbbjwcim with a. 10 upgrade for AR as long as you want, if that's your thing. Since that's "one of my things" so I enjoyed her company. She takes direction very well she hangs out outside the mini-market a couple blocks south of the adult bookstore, usually from 5-7 pm or later, name is Erica (I think) she lives on the same street as the bookstore as well, for the time being. Wears a couple big coats pulled over her head, not the typical SW attire. She says she is "in-between" apartments, doesn't appear to be on any drugs but could possibly be a bit mentally unstable, not sure. Says she has a phone but no minutes, will try for digits next time. Saw nothing at all on Lorain except one girl who got taken before I could check her out.
2 WSWs to avoid on West 25th:. Both short, usually hanging together but sometimes apart. Older one has reddish dyed hair, maybe late 40s, looks pretty chewed up up with bad teeth up close and smells like a three day drunk, her co-hort or "friend" is a young mid 20s, blondish hair a bit chubby with lots of attitude, not very friendly. Both are 2-3 on scale. These two are a scam team and should be avoided at all costs, usually hanging out around bookstore on W. 25th or the side streets thereof. They have been the only ones out and I took a chance and now you all can benefit from my experience.

Went out today from about 3-6, saw a few workers on Lorain between 45-80, but nothing I wanted to pick up. Saw a small little thing around 90th with really long black hair, I would say 5'2 at the most, 95-100 lbs, she was walking around in a pattern on a fews streets and looked me in the eyes but thats it. I pulled over a few times but she didn't come over, not sure I could have been any more obvious. Oh well, I guess I either did something wrong or she really wasnt working.
Few cops out that where pulling over left and right.
Tuesday drove up Central on east side to see what was up. Saw a BSW around 79th that seemed way too eager. Got up a block or so and on a sidestreet a black and white had a blue car pulled over. LEO's car had spotlight on blue car but wasn't running it's flashers. Didn't want it's presence known? Who knows? Anyway, between the eager beaver and the cop car seems like LEO's running a sting in that area. And as for the monger in the blue car - hope things weren't too bad for ya dude.
Last five days, every time I am out the stroll has been dead. Maybe someone can PM me and tell me otherwise, but it seems that there is nothing ever going on, and it has finally petered out to a severe drought. At least when I am out which has been randomly. Mornings, early afternoon, sometimes late at night. Bad experience on w 25, (read below) and have seen those two out a lot. Have not seen any of the 'regular' girls I usually see out, the die-hards, maybe it is the weather.
Thankfully I enjoy company of a couple of friends now off-street whenever needed. Can anyone recommend the best notel in the area? There is one I sometimes go to but they want. 50 and don't rent hourly, looking for a cheaper option. You can pm me this info if you don't want to post on board.

Tried Stephanie on Lorain two nights ago. As I've said it's been dry for me, so I guess beggars can't be choosers so I have found out. I have been able to get out at night and seems like a totally different crowd, I don't necessarily like it. It's a little too "professional" for my tastes lots of long-timers hanging around. Stephanie at 58 and Lorain, long brownish/black hair, kind of skinny, big nose for the face, full lips but not all that attractive up close, better from afar with a striking look, fairly tall, thin legs but again up close really looks (and acts) used hard. (warning sign #1) She is maybe late 30s/early 40s/mid 40s, couldn't tell, only thing I knew is that she's been at this awhile. Seem to remember people writing about her on here, maybe it's a different Stephanie. Drove for awhile, agreed, BBBJ. 30 w/tip if done well. Not done well. Very run of the mill and lots of "you almost done? " Complained about going to the jewels or touching her head. Would not recommend her to anyone at all, unless you want sub par and little satisfaction. Should have banked for a later day. Guess experience is wisdom, in the form of. 30 down the drain. Another to avoid: short haired older woman, down in the 40s, was yelling out at my car "pick me up pick me up" and looked completely cracked out. Had on a backpack, almost looked like a man. I pulled over for fun and she yelled "I just got out of jail! " Wow was she flying. Drove on. Anyone willing to share I have numbers to trade.
Decided to hit the Lorain trail today about midday. Hoped that there may be a good time to be had in spite of the snow. Sorry to say. Nothing.

Decided to take a ride on the West Side around 11:00 p.m on Mon. night. I figured the weather was decent, there might be some action. The only lady I saw on lorain was Old Puerto Rican Lisa. She was flyin high. I did see a couple sexy BSW'ers on 65 th and Storer, but, on closer inspection, they turned out to be TS's. Not my cup of tea. Nobody on Clark or 25th. I think all of the girls must have been forced into "retirement" for a few months by LE.

I dreamt that I took a spin about 5am this morn. Didn't really see much. I saw one semi- cute white girl on Storer, and two others on Lorain. I just have a problem with meeting with someone who thinks its a good idea to run half way into the street waving like a fool.

If it was a sting the girl wouldn't have gotten in the car. Leo watches the obvious girls and as soon as you pick them up the pull you over and play the hard ass role. They try to get you to admit why you picked her up so they can ticket you for it.
This happened to me once. They kept on saying; if you lie to us it's going to be worse. I stuck with my story and drove away with a impeading traffic ticket.
I saw a really hot one this morning, 7:00AM around 73rd, blonde hair, looked to be a newbie . She couldn't have been older than 23 and was wearing a hood, but her body looked great. I drive the track regularly, but haven't picked up yet. I'm versed in the escort scene, and well-versed in the SC extras and takeout scene. I have some old posts here about chat-line connections. Thought it was time I started to contribute.
I was working on the west side, grabbed a bite, and decided to drive the loops. Lorain Ave thick with LE. Saw possible bust (could have been a speed trap also) on Randall, just north of Lorain. A little too far east for any regular SWer in my experience. Saw two police cars with a stopped vehicle, and 3 others sitting along the street nearby, not involed in the other stop.
Further down, in front of the lumber yard just past West 73rd, two unmarked had two civilian cars pulled over and blocked in. Looked to me like a sting/arrest. I was traveling west. As I sat at the 81st street light, I saw one of the unmarked cars pull back behind the tire place and park. I think they were setting up there.
Swung down Clark. Passed two more unmarked cars driving (one black, one grey, crown vics). Also, saw shiney white van with no windows and a driver's side spotlight parked on W49th. Passed two black and whites near the fire station.
I did not see the female cop on the streets in any of these cases, if they were in fact stings.
Nothing on W25th. Nothing on Clark.

Did stroll yesterday as well and did not see any busts, but I did see b&w parked behind/on the side of the auto center up by the freeway exit ramp before 85/Lorain. They seemed to just be watching/hanging out or doing surveillance. I did see LE everywhere, all over Lorain. Girl last week said they are ignoring Lorain and trying to clean up Clark, but apparently not. Despite that I did meet eyes with "Jenny" back around Colgate and said hello. She is "Natasha's" sister, who I have seen and is a complete waste of time and money, in my experience. Jenny was a little better but my "repeat business" lecture did not really take and she gave lackluster bbbjcih. For. 40 rose donation. As I was driving the track tonight, 10: 30ish pm, I was listening to a radio report about a downtown meeting between citizens and city officials. Topic: deteriorating downtown security.
At that same time, LE was all over Lorain busting dudes looking for a little action. That's keeping the citizens safe.
Black and white had some poor monger loaded in the back at about 45 and Lorain. As I was rolling up on this (can see from some distance away), I see an unmarked black crown vic do a you-turn on Lorain, pull onto W47th (north side of Lorain) and park. 2 blocks later, I see a very hot WSW. Almost certainly a cop, although she looked very young. About 21, tight faded jeans, white sweatshirt, short, great body, long wavy brown hair. Not looking real hard, but out of place.
Passed numerous other LEO, including 2 additional black unmarked cars.

It seems that I am missing something because I cannot find a section prohibiting prostitution. The only reference is to prostitution after positive HIV test. Of course loitering, soliciting, and compelling are covered but I see no mention regarding the actual act of prostitution.
Can anyone shed some light on this matter?

Apparently you didn't read closely. It's all contained in 2907.241 "Loitering to engage in solicitation - solicitation after positive HIV test." The law applies to everyone, with special consideration/penalities for HIV positive people, as described in Section B and D. Section A and D are what you should read, unless of course you have AIDS:
(A) No person, with purpose to solicit another to engage in sexual activity for hire and while in or near a public place, shall do any of the following:
(1) Beckon to, stop, or attempt to stop another;
(2) Engage or attempt to engage another in conversation;
(3) Stop or attempt to stop the operator of a vehicle or approach a stationary vehicle;
(4) If the offender is the operator of or a passenger in a vehicle, stop, attempt to stop, beckon to, attempt to beckon to, or entice another to approach or enter the vehicle of which the offender is the operator or in which the offender is the passenger;
(5) Interfere with the free passage of another.
(B) No person, with knowledge that the person has tested positive as a carrier of a virus that causes acquired immunodeficiency syndrome, shall engage in conduct in violation of division (A) of this section.
(C) As used in this section:
(1) “Vehicle” has the same meaning as in section 4501.01 of the Revised Code.
(2) “Public place” means any of the following:
(a) A street, road, highway, thoroughfare, bikeway, walkway, sidewalk, bridge, alley, alleyway, plaza, park, driveway, parking lot, or transportation facility;
(b) A doorway or entrance way to a building that fronts on a place described in division (C)(2)(a) of this section;
(c) A place not described in division (C)(2)(a) or (b) of this section that is open to the public.
(D)(1) Whoever violates division (A) of this section is guilty of loitering to engage in solicitation, a misdemeanor of the third degree.
(2) Whoever violates division (B) of this section is guilty of loitering to engage in solicitation after a positive HIV test. If the offender commits the violation prior to July 1, 1996, loitering to engage in solicitation after a positive HIV test is a felony of the fourth degree. If the offender commits the violation on or after July 1, 1996, loitering to engage in solicitation after a positive HIV test is a felony of the fifth degree.

I wasn't talking about prohibitions against loitering, soliciting or HIV positive situations. I was asking about a provision which states basically "No person shall engage in sexual activity for hire". I don't see it. Presumably it is not illegal.
Maybe our lurking LEO's can weigh in on this one :-)
Strolling Lorain/Clark/W 25/Storer off and on from 2-5, LE out in full force with many B&Ws, plus nobody is out except a couple of regulars I see out all of the time, including crazy Brandy in the W 25 area who was cracked out of her head and waving me down. Occasionally I will talk to her to get the word on the street, when she is more mellow, I never indulge as she isn't my type but today I didn't even stop to say hello. Finally I gave up and it was just too hot so I headed back home via E 55 where I ran into a WSW early 20s who I used to see a couple of years ago, who just got out of jail. She's cute and friendly once you joke around with her a bit. Went for a BBBJCIM 30 rose donation. Got digits and will see her again. She strips down and has a nice firm a** and t*ts, is clean and in good shape, smells great, gorgeously trimmed between the legs, says she's 32 but looks more like 25 and is bragging with good reason about her tight belly because she's had 2 kids. Major LE presence, seems a lot going on now that it is warmer and people are out, milling around, saw cops breaking up a fight on Lorain, or a major incident of some kind. Anyway, wound up at my friend's house who I have been enjoying lately, I have been trying to get me her and another friend, former HSW now living straight life out in the west burbs all together but with no luck, hopefully soon but still enjoyed my time. Took some pics and though I'd share.

Well, there <i>are</i> BSWs easily found on the east side. From East 55th, go down Central or Quincy and that general vicinity. I didn't pick anyone up. Was just windowshopping. Around 6-7pm yeserday, I saw about 5 in very short order, and they cat-called at my car as I drove by. One, from a distance, seemed like a possibility, so I pulled up and spoke to her for a sec, but her nasty teeth turned me off. This is why I always keep my doors locked, lol. She tried to instantly get into my car before I could have the up-close look-over. I'd keep the doors locked around there anyway, of course.
And any white guy driving around there sticks out like a sore thumb, lol.

I recommend finding that blonde girl, Crystal, who's out there on Lorain (in the West 40s-60s) sometimes. But I think she's mostly working via phone and I don't have the number. I think most of the girls are trying to stay off the street this spring. I know they're out there and busy, hanging around drug houses like on West 58th off Lorain. I guess they have some steady johns and aren't desperate at the moment? Trying to be more like call girls for as long as they can? Or, have the police finally gotten them running that scared? I saw one WSW out on Lorain the other day. She was wearing a businessman type of hat (female version) that looked cool. The rest of her looked kind of seedy. She was tweaking around the West 40s, and adjusting her clothes in a window. When I swung back around she still had her back to traffic and was on the phone. Must've had a date on the way.
Not sure why the pickings seem slim this spring. In springs past, they've come out in droves! Maybe I'm just cruising at the wrong times, or maybe LE has sent the message that they are gonna try and keep things in check this spring. But I know that Crystal (who I rank high) and a group of other girls she does crack with are around there. Better find Crystal quick though. According to the dockets, Crystal SepXXpi (I include the X's so she doesn't come up on Google), she has another warrant for a probation violation. LOL - her criminal record is hilariously long for someone her age! Over 20 felony cases.
Actually, if she has a warrant, I think I'll stay away from her, as someone with that long a felony record has to be well-known by the police and I think they can search your car if you have someone on the run in it when you're pulled over?? Okay so Akron/Canton/Clev is a drive so usually I leave some small reports on the Warren board but iI do read all of them for NE Ohio, I'm just too lazy to drive. In my last post I'm asking for some advice so I'll post it in Ak/Clev/Canton/Warren and see what happens. Sorry to offend anybody that reads twice or sees in different boards.

Was there on Tuesday and saw some potential girls but my wife was with me so that killed that although it did get us into an interesting conversation because she asked how much do you think they charge? I threw out some numbers because she knows that I look at ads online when I'm bored but she doesn't know I've actually seen some of the girls (or is pretending to not know. Who knows.)
The previous Tuesday (St Patty's Day) there were tons of girls. Too bad all of them weren't in the hobby because some were pretty cute. I did see some in the hobby though, standing alone on back roads or with a guy and then if you'd drive around a second time you'd get the look and the guy would be "gone. " I did pick one up off Atlantic/Summit (not sure which one.) and N Park area. She wasn't too bad and started to suck while I drove around and we went to the old St Joe's area (think that was old hopital off Tod Ave. Not from Warren so not really sure but know it was once a hospital.) when some girl was standing in middle of street crying and wailing that she needed help. She had bruise on her eye but was really quite cute. She was hunched over and if she had a thong, you'd see the whale tale but you saw crack instead, which is always Hot to me. The girl in my car was like dude don't stop the cops will be here and such so I continued on but saw a rough dude walking the other way yelling at the girl on the street. I told the girl in my car I had to at least drive the girl on the steet away so as she wouldn't get hurt and of course she didn't like that. So I pulled out my cell phone and pretended to be making a call and she's like dude don't do that, what are you doing, so to get her out I told her I'm a US Marshall and could call it in and not get her in trouble so she was more than happy to get out around the corner and get out of there. I turned around and the girl was walking on the side walk and crying. The guy I watched go into a house and she stood on the outside just kinda like this isn't happening.
So to try to move the story along, I rolled window and asked if she still needed help and she starred at me for few seconds and came over and said she didn't know what to do but needed out of there. We left that area and started to drive away while she explained how that night her boyfriend (the mean guy) went crazy and started yelling at her b/c she didn't have any pot and he broke her purse from her arm and took it and punched her out of the way and told her to f off. She really couldn't see to well b/c he hit her with the contact but we got that cleaned up (my wife wears contacts.) and she was like I need a drink. She wanted to go to bar but her ID was w/ boyfriend so we got beer from gas station. She then asked so what was I doing out this way? I laughed and said you really want to know? And she replied tonight try me. So I told her about the other girl and how she was doing something for me for a bill and she was kinda surprised. She said wait that was fast, what happened to her? I told her I got her out of the car and how and she got all mushy. She's like you dumped that chick for me. And got all that's cool. We got some cigarettes and another beer and she wanted to go to bar anyways but I told her that I needed to somewhat get home. I asked her what she was going to do and she said she'd probably just stay outside in the neighborhood until morning when her friends came to pick her up. When I started going back we passed motel and I told her can't you just stay there for night and she reminded me about her wallet being taken and I told her I had some more money but she said she wouldn't do that for money. I know I was just shooting in the dark I told her and we both kinda chuckled. She did tell me to turn around and head up Parkman so I did that. She had me pull into some Chinese place (golden gate golden something on the right side heading out of warren) and told me to go around back and park the car and kill the lights. I did this and then she said that I've been so nice that instead of me paying she'd do it casually for me. I told her well if you do that something may fall out of my pocket and I might not miss it if you took it. We both smiled getting the connotations. She said the only problem is that I'm tired and although I'm good at head you can do all the work and just fuck me. Darn, I was so disappointed. (sarcastic) She went out side real quick pee'd behind a bush and came back (wasn't much of a turnon) but when got in the car came over and pushed my seat back and climbed on top of me and started kissing me and playing with me. I don't really get from your story why you're feeling guilty about anything, unless there's something you're leaving out. I don't think you took advantage of her. Well, okay, you did take advantage of her, but it sounds like she wanted you to. I don't see what the issue of concern is. You helped her when she was in distress, then things got intimate. Just consider yourself lucky! I'd have already called her.

I noticed that there are a lot of solicitation arrests at West 85th. You can set the map to show just certain types of crimes (prostitution crimes fall under "Other Sexual Offense"). And you can set it to show all the arrests this year, or from a certain date, or for the last so-many days or whatever. I can see by that that there was a big crackdown at West 85th on March 18th, for example. They had had a whole bunch of solicitation arrests there that day.
I've actually been pulled over at that spot. I didn't get ticketed. I was very lucky. This was last April. I just happened to know the WSW's full name and this let me make a case that I was picking up a friend (if you get pulled over with a SW in your car, try and get her to tell you her real full name before the cop gets to your car, so you can claim you know her in normal ways). Of course they didn't believe it, but I was sticking with that story no matter what. We were going to Steve's Hot Dogs to eat, we were longtime friends, and no one can prove otherwise! LOL. The cop said some mean things to me but he did let me go. I also got pulled over there the year before, and also avoided any arrest or ticket that time, too. But, then, that time they had pulled me over for no apparent reason -- I suspect they had simply seen my car too many times and wanted to scare me, or that the house I picked the girl up from was a very hot house that was being watched by detectives (they pulled us over the second I turned onto Lorain, and I was driving very carefully and gave them no pretext to -- so yeah, it must've been that someone was watching the house I picked her up from and radioed ahead). I sure know you can be pulled over there for no reason at all, and that is scary. Or should I view all the arrests there as an indication that that's still a good place to keep looking, so long as I am lucky enough to miss the days they are doing a crackdown?

I rarely have strolled the last 2-3 months, but day before yesterday looked like they were running stings on Lorain with a undercover cop as I was leaving work.
Maybe this post should be in the General section, or even escort section, as I'm not sure if this is a true SW post. I like the direction my mongering is going so thought I'd share. As of now, I have met up with a couple former SWs who I knew from a few years ago when I just started hobbying, all did hard felony time and have been out for awhile. I have never seen any of them on the street. I have luckily run into them not on "the street" but either at their jobs or once, actually walking home from grocery store, as I work in and around "certain" areas, all of them either have part or full time (albeit low paying) jobs and are doing a good job at staying clean (living with their family, etc). I consider these "friends" "with benefits" and I enjoy their company as they enjoy mine. One has even introduced me to one of her roommates, who actually has a legitimate job as a receptionist, who I also hang out with now. I almost consider it networking, and it has been working well. If I have to throw an extra. 20 or. 30 their way if they need it I do. They all can use the $ and I treat them well. Donations vary and when I am low they always understand. They call me as much as I call them. To me this is the best way to go, now I only stroll really for nostalgic reasons and for drive-by entertainment. Thus, maybe this is the wrong place to post but if you find a SW you like, who is clean, honest, shows you a good time it is smart to cultivate that lead, and maybe find other leads in the process. In a way, it's good to get off the street as a monger as well as a SW.

Do you have an old computer or something? It helps to zoom in on a smaller area, otherwise you'll have to wait till all the crimes load.
I saw there were a couple more arrests on 85th and Lorain on the 26th. Again, my question is, is that spot too hot to mess with? I think it is. But the other view might be that it's still a prime corner to pick girls up. Just be very careful when you do.
Meanwhile, it doesn't appear that LE are cracking down much at all on the east side, on Central and Quincy off East 55th. That's not exactly an area they are looking to revitalize any time soon, lol, so I guess there's less care of what goes on there. Late, late Saturday night/Sunday morning I saw a whole bunch of BSWs working Central. Most are a bit rough looking. But it seems very lawless there. I've been running the track off and on for a couple of weeks. Not much action out there at all, but I suspect that might be because of timing. For various reasons, I'm usually out late afternoon, early evening. Not much hunting.
Except, lately on Storer at the bus stop near the Tropical, I've seen a tall, curvy blonde, late 20s? A little rough looking, but a sort of outrageous, flamboyant style. Not exactly my cup of tea, but I can't help but wondering if she provides with great enthusiasm. She's always giving the look. Anybody know her?
Cruised just before dark. Spotted 2 young wsw's on Clark just off W25th. Then possibly 2 more just E of the rapid on Lorain. As dark fell I was regreting not grabbing what was availble on first roll. Did the stroll Sat. afternoon (5/2). I was surprised at how little was out. Only 2 potentials and both had LE shadows. Too warm for me so I headed out.
As requested. I met up with Shay a few weeks ago while she was strolling with her mom of all people. [Not sure if you could say she was a blonde - more brown with highlights. Had corn row braids when I picked her up.] She gave the look but you can imagine why I hesitated. I circled the block where she could see me and she came over to the car quickly and we went off to a quiet place for a BBBJCIMwSpit for .3. Rolled at 10p on the west side and saw very little. Although 2 possible very young hotties were on Lorain at 48th, but 2 LE cars were parked there too. They seemed to be dodging them a little, but the cops were not in the cars. I looped around a couple times, but they kept changing directions. But when I did pass them twice they looked, but didn't make any direct moves, so on I continued. They were under-dressed for the cooler night weather, shorts and T's or sleeveless tops, like they were still out during the hotter daytime.
Anyway, not finding much, I spotted a high potential further down Lorain, and sure enough. At this point 11:45p I was tired, her larger shape and size, told me to forget it. And I should have listened to the gut, but off we go to a quiet place a couple miles away. Well this is my first report in a long time. Was driving around on a Friday night, May 8 about 1130 and low and behold at 116th and Harvard was BSW. Now action is spotty on the east side but I am familiar with the streets there and I would say there are plenty of girls there looking to make an extra. 30. I always like to see things like this while criminals are setting up a roadblock on Kinsman and robbing people in their cars. In those cases the police don't have a clue as to what is going on.
Of course, there might be some method to the madness....why put your life on the line trying to stop armed robbers when you can congratulate yourself for putting a hooker or a customer in jail.

I don't know your living circumstances but if there are any cheap "NoTels" in your area with hourly rate that's sometimes a much better option than having an SW you don't know come into your place. I made my first trip up Lorain today as I am not a local. There was nothing happening, not even a wave or a smile. I had the impression that Cleveland had some local talent. Hmm, well...I was driving down Lorain (for entirely innocent reasons) just after sundown yesterday, and I saw 4 WSWs in short order. Sometimes they seem to be all over, but sometimes it's hard to find even one.
One was down around the Hollywood Video, the others around 81st. Now, were they young, skinnny, and good looking? Only one of them. And, when I say good looking, that might've been a different story had I gotten a closer look. She looked young, skinny, and scared, but hard to tell how good looking. (BTW, there's also some black gay guy who has been conspicuously working Lorain for some weeks now...).
The Cleveland Police web site crime map shows there were several solicitation arrests on and around Lorain this weekend. There hadn't been many soliciting arrests around there lately (or at least not any that showed up on the map), so I guess that was something of a planned crackdown? Does anyone know? (Even if they aren't looking to make solicitation arrests, of course, they still can get these girls on lots of other stuff at any time -- I'm just saying the map makes it appear they targeted for some solicitation arrests this weekend, for their monthly quotas or whatever.)
Anyway, the arrests were at 47th & Lorain, 52nd & Lorain, 73rd & Lorain, 74th & Franklin, and Detroit & Lake Ave (*). These were the first solicitation arrests in that area appearing on the map since someone was arrested on May 20th at W. 25TH & Prame for solicitation while having HIV. Didn't do much good because, as I said, I saw some girls out last night.
(*) It appears they got the person at Detroit & Lake for a felony drug charge, too, when you add in drug offenses with the sex offenses on the crime map.
I rolled Lorain Ave Thursday around 10:00AM starting around 25th. In town on business thought I would try out some of the local dreaming ground and take a early evening nap. Whoa, I hope you mofos were careful if you were out there tonight! Did anyone else see what looked like vice setting up a sting? I don't know for sure what they were doing, but here's what I saw:
Near the HP station, other side of a street, a block or two down, I saw this guy wearing plain clothes but he had a bullet proof vest on and a small badge and a big walkie talkie he was talking into as he stared up Lorain. Next time I came around, I saw like 3-4 of these guys, all dressed the same. From a distance you wouldn't see they were vice of some sort. Not until you got close. As I drove by, I saw two of them standing by a car with a female with them. I figured she was some sort of undercover street walker. The thing is, she wasn't one of those "too good looking to be true" ones. She looked like a real Cleveland SW. But my assumption, by their body language, was that she was working with the police. I also saw one of the detectives very curious about a car parked on Lorain that had a partially opened window. He was looking into it and it seemed he saw something in plain view because he stuck his arm through the cracked window and opened the door. This was all about...I think 9pm, maybe 9:30.
Then, over on Clark, around 11:15p.m. I saw like 8 police cars all parked together, about the same block number as the detectives over on Lorain. Like they had either just finished up some big mission, or were setting up for something.
I don't know for sure if this was an anti-John sting. But they were definitely doing some sort of sting tonight. Someone (a SW I know who is trying to stay off the streets) told me that the LE were all over all day long before that, too, so maybe this was a bad day in general to be on Lorain. Does anyone know more?
My advice to people is to always check out the entire area (including side streets) before you do anything that is illegal or will give police probable cause to pull you over. The police around there still might pull you over, even without probable cause (I know this, first hand). But yeah, I think you gotta make sure you have a feel for what's afoot in that area before you do anything that exposes you to arrest. Most of the time, you can tell very quickly if anything unusual is going down from the LE. Well, if you're familiar enough with the neighborhood to know what to look for. But, today, it wasn't hard to see something unusual was going down - you just had to do one drive down Lorain and spot it before you did anything stupid.
I hope none of you got netted in whatever was going on today/tonight. Maybe it wasn't a sting against Johns; maybe it was something else entirely. Freaked me out, though.

btw, i have found that late-late-late night saturday to early sunday morning (just aafter the sun comes up) is a pretty good time to find a lot of sws in the whole general vicitinity of the near west side. the weekend before last, i went for a booty call out in cuyahoga falls, then didn't feel like going home. so i hit bugsy's on 25th very late. this got me "excited" for some more action. so i stayed out all night, and i picked up numerous sws! i generally only get bjs from them, and by the last one i realized it was ridiculous i was still out there cuz i was having trouble busting a nut at that point (lol). i didn't do stuff with them all. i have a curiousity and kick out of the whole scene, so it's kinda fun to me to chit chat with some even when i decide i don't wanna indulge in them. i usually give 'em a few bucks anyway, out of charity. you can get good info out of them, at the very least. one actually was a fucking dude in disguise. i saw him/her, and he/she got picked up right away, before i could get a closer look. but then just minutes later i saw that thing again, which i found odd as there's no way they could've taken care of business that quick. when "she" got in my car, i realize it was a "he" in disguise who was grabbing my privates for cop check, and no doubt the last dude rejected her right away. and i told it i wasn't down, either. fortunately it got right out of my car, no arguments. i have no problem with shemales as long as they act cool like that. it is a little annoying, though, that the shemales seem to be creeping over to lorain from detroit lately. everybody should be able to know where to find what they actually want.

Rolled the last two days with some usual suspects out including a very obvious bleach blonde overtly signaling tree trunk on Lorain, a short-haired reddish/brown slightly overweight mid 20s at the 58th bus stop/rta stop and the usual haggard group of jeans shorts and feathered hair early 40s/late 50s chewed up WSWs.
HOWEVER, rolled the stroll a few weeks back, have a nice group of semi-pros who I default to to stay off the mean streets so now just stroll for mining purposes and general enterainment, but however a few weeks back around 7 am I imagined I pulled out a good catch on storer. Wasn't giving the look and wasn't real obvious but she was out, and she came to my car after 3 passes and a pull over way down a side street. Started in on how her boyfriend was going to beat her up if she didn't come back to the house with $$$ in her pocket, and she had been out since 5 am. New to the street walker world but am trying to get used to the local cruise scene to get comfortable with what is going on. I ran the normal route today from about 90th to 25th and saw a heavier looking blond in her late 20's around 68th. She had some serious mileage on her. On my way back to the freeway I saw a red head about half way between 90 and 71 on 25th that looked in her mid 30's and was about a 6. Only saw one LE near Fulton and cruised around 2pm to 4pm.

Took a stroll around Lorain/Clark area for about 3 hours today. Saw a total of 4 WSW's. Where are all the decent looking girls at? All 4 were way overweight and had a face like a train hit them. There has to be some decent looking ones out there?
Took a dream of a stroll down Lorain/Clark sometimes W. 25th over last 4 days, times varied from 2-4 and then from 6-8 pm's. Two days ago on Lorain saw 3 possibles. 1 WSW and 1 BSW both early 20s, 1 blonde WSW mid 30s. Younger WSW with brown hair cute face, little chunky in the trunky but still totally doable, had never seen her around, BSW was down sitting on a stoop looked young, spinner with glasses, had a dope boy hanging with her for awhile. Other older blonde WSW maybe mid 30s around 58/Lorain on a stoop again, looked nice but a little cranky sitting there waiting for a date, would have tried all 3 but had just dropped off Sarah, red-headed WSW who I met up with on W. 25th and had seen over the last couple of days. I know this report is late but this past Saturday at 500 am I saw a BSW on the intersection of Euclid and Lee. Her name was Keisha she was kind of short a 5 on the SW scle and a nice ass. I drove down West 25th and then up Lorain (on other business) last night around 8:30pmish and the SWs were everywhere! All of them very nasty looking. First, I stopped for smokes at Jay's MArket on West 25th (near Clark) and a very inbred looking old WSW walked thru the parking lot smiling at me and trying to entice me. Yuck. Then, when I got to Lorain and drove up it, I saw SWs all the way up. One was gutsy enough to be walking in front of St. Ignatius. You'd have to be insane to do anything illegal right in front of that school. (btw, ever see the St. Ignatius security guy who cruises around on a Segway? Cool!) I saw several more, the last one being on West 96th and Lorain. The 90s seem to be picking up. I always go that far up when cruising around because the hottest blonde WSW I've ever seen in Cleveland was on a sidewalk in one of the sidestreets in the 90s. I mean, flat out stripper material, except she was pregnant. Never seen her again.
Anyway, they're definitely out there, but most look gross. And, sometimes...one minute they're everywhere and the next minute you can't find a single one. Sundays are the best days, especially in the early morning.
BTW: There's a blonde SW working Broadway between E55th and Union.

And be careful around Detriot between 25th and 40th because a lot of shims are in that area.

Yeah, it's been many years since I've seen any on Euclid anywhere near downtown. I think they got pushed away sometime around when President Clinton cut the ribbon at that Church Square shopping center and those townhouses got built. But way, way down on Euclid, almost to Green Rd., there are some. Also, in the North Collinwood neighborhood, like on 156th St. off Lakeshore.
And, I've seen BSWs in the Buckeye Rd. area. Really, you can run into 'em anywhere in the east side, Kinsman, Union, Broadway, whatever, but you can't count on it. There used to be lots on Cedar but I haven't seen one on that street in a long time. Really, the zone you can be confident you'll find some (especially after dark) is on Central and Quincy, just to the east of East 55th. I guess that's where all the action that used to be on Cedar got pushed over to, and that's your best bet. The only problem is, after you drive around there a few times you start to feel your car is pretty obviously a mongerer to anyone who might be watching, whereas on the near west side you might have all sorts of legit reasons to be driving around. OTOH, few people or police seem to be watching outside of maybe a once-a-month sweep.

P.S. Saw a funny sight on the west side yesterday. I was driving over the Lorain-Carnegie bridge towards the west side and one of those transit cop cars sped past me. When I got up to West 44th, they were confronting what looked like a WSW/crackhead who was in the bus stop shelter. Two transit cop cars and several officers were confronting her. She was screaming and yelling at them when I was at the light, so I pulled over to watch. She starting resisting arrest, screaming as loud as she could, pushing, kicking, shoving. She was totally wild! Two cops picked her up, one holding her legs and the other her shoulders, so she was vertical in the air, still flailing and screaming. They were screaming at her, "You're resisting! Stop resisting!" Then they threw her into the back seat of the car, thru the window. Well, I guess you had to be there, but it was pretty funny. The police web site's crime map only shows three solicitation busts in the last 7 days. All on West 85th and Lorain, on Sept. 7-8. Oh, and one way up at West 134th and Lorain. Was this sting at a different location and day, and they have't updated the crime map yet? When I add drug busts to the map search, there was a drug paraphenalia bust at West 76th and Lorain on the 11th, and a possession and paraphenalia bust at West 45th and Lorain on the 9th. Those might be SWs, too. There could be others caught up in a sting that don't show up by search for solicitation and drug arrests -- they can arrest SWs on all sorts of things, or just for outstanding warrants, and they don't always have enough proof to charge a John with soliciting a prostitute even when they pull him over after he just picked someone up.
On the dockets, I see WSW Amber went back to jail on Sept. 8.
Update: Yeah, I guess they did a round-up. Angel went to jail again, too. Was wondering when they'd pick her up -- she was out there every single night.

Cleveland Report, where exactly did you see these girls. I've been making the stroll (Lorain/Clark/Fulton) on a regular basis for the past couple weeks on my lunch hour (12-2pm) and haven't really seen a thing. Is that typically a slow time of day? I'm new to the mongering scene so any helpful hints would be appreciated.

It's always hit and miss but the lunchtime strolls don't seem as productive as they used to be. You need to remember that there are now schools in the area and activity seems to drop anytime school is in session. I was there on a late Sat. afternoon.

I've never seen the girl before, lots of traffic, camper had me spooked a bit. A made a couple of loops checking for possible LE. None spotted.
On my last loop, saw the girl go up to the passenger door of the camper, open it, chat with the guy, grab a purse/backpack thing, and walk down the street. So, she was definitely with him.
Now, either it is a brilliant rolling notel, or it was a sting. Who else saw this?
Otherwise, nothing else spotted on 3 Lorain loops.

The safest time to monger is right after a sting! The cops got their quotas filled. It may be weeks before they care again.

Cleveland usually doesn't run street stings. Our cops prefer binoculars, informants, complaints from the citizenry, and following people in their cars.

IMO, the 8pm hour on most evenings is a good time to find SWs. It's weird. I wonder if someone has an explanation for why it's so easy to find SWs on the near west side in the 8pm hour, but an hour later it seems hard to find any at all. Am I imagining this?
I've noticed this so much that I don't believe there's no explanation for it. There must be something the girls know. Pure speculation: Is that when the police change shifts? I have no idea. What I do know is they seem to be out in the 8pm hour in droves! Even when it is raining (as tonight). And I must say, some of the girls out tonight in the 8pm hour were unusually hot. Not all: There was one very skanky old hillbilly WSW walking around Lorain, and one BSW in the upper 70s on Lorain standing in the rain who was fat and gross. But there were also some rather attractive WSWs roaming about between West 65th and West 85th. One was so good looking I had to consider her "too good to be true", yet there were no signs of any sting going on and I actually think she was TRUE. She looked like a stripper, flat out, and one of the only SWs I've seen in Cleveland in years who I'd place above an 8 rating. Two things scared me off: One was how hot she was, and two was that she wasn't even on the sidewalk but was actually standing in the street looking very hungry at every car that passed. It retrospect I think she just wanted to get out of the rain ASAP. She was quickly picked up after I passed her by, and I'm sorta regretting it now.... But I was scared of her, still thinking she might be too good to be true, and I usually err on the side of caution. There was another on West 80th that was about an 8 and was very fresh and rather innocent looking. I don't incriminate myself on these boards (someone on the Columbus boards got arrested after the Columbus newspaper publicized his screenname from here...) so I won't say more about that. *wink* I prefer to be vague, sorry.
But I'd like to know if there is something to this 8PM hour thing. Maybe I'm just imagining things, but for example tonight: From 8pm to 9pm there were a bunch of SWs out there. Then at 9pm they were all gone. But I noticed a lot of police, including unmarked cars, in the 9pm hour. Is the 8pm hour a safer time due to something about how the police change shifts or something?
Oh, and after I may or may not have had fun with a fresh one from Lorain (*wink*), I saw an absolutely gorgeous girl standing on the corner by Bugsy's. But when I rolled around, she suddenly had a photographer taking pics of her. I guess that had to be too good to be true. Looked like they were doing a shoot for an ad or something. Bugsy's is not going to do an ad with one of their regular skanks as the "centerfold". In that case you hire a hot real model. Once you have the release from her you can publish it anywhere together with script indicating she is indicative of the girls working there.

But the bust I saw was by the alley near the gas station at w73rd.
There was 2 girls, and as the car would pull up they would lean in to talk, then the cops would pull up front and back, right on Lorain a few times but mostly in that alley. I was kind of amazed. after the cops pulled up the girls would walk across the street to a van and chill for a bit before going back out.

About 1130 on Friday night (last night) I was driving westbound on Broadway and I saw a good looking BSW about a 150 yards from E55th on the south side of the street, seemed to good to be true although she gave me the look so I continued down Broadway to E49th and racetracked back on Doloff which hits Broadway past E55th and is a good way to get one on a sidestreet. As you near Broadway there is a parking lot behind the buildings where the auto parts store is sort of, a nice lot. Lo and behold there was a LE cruiser. Soon thereafter a newer white cargo van with no windows pulled in real close to the cruiser. They never made contact but most people don't cozy up to cops like that out partying on Friday night. I made a right on Broadway and another cruiser had a white pickup pulled over. I didn't see a passenger so I won't speculate further but the facts are a to good to be true BSW on Broadway, a cruiser, and a unmarked cargo van and another cruiser. I would definately be careful. There are SW in that area for sure. Most are real ugly though. I will keep looking. I definately found the cops hiding spot there. Generally I like to make a SW do a lateral move (ie: cross a street, go down a side street). A sting will use military tactics to get the quarry into the kill zone and will not want a soldier out of position, nor will a couple running a scam because they are essentially doing the same thing in an unorganized fashion. Just my opinion although as my posts attest and I will confess SW are not my forte nor am I the worlds greatest monger but I do cruise alot. I have been thinking about making a post about all the areas I have cruised on the east side cause I know the area well but the thing is the pickings are really slim, and the fare sorry so any info would be spotty at best.

The cops are over there alot, there's a bar on the corner where they can catch some DUI's very easily. I've been lurking for a while now and thought I'd better start posting. But every time I go to that bar the cops are out, and there's a corner store right behind the bar, that's where you'll find them in the parking lot talking and B. S. Ing " ALOT".

It's not illegal to ask and at least you could get a sense of what's up. There's a risk that they'll make a mental note of your vehicle. But if you're not committing a crime, they can't get too mad about you asking.
I'm shocked folks here don't do that more often.

I could be wrong, and someone should correct me if I am, but I don't think decoy street walkers is a frequent technique used by Cleveland law enforcement. Every once in a long while you'll see a highly publicized sting with decoys on the news, with the mayor hyping it up, but I don't think they do it much. (Which doesn't mean you should relax -- they can still pull you over if they are scoping out a real SW and you pick her up.)
Just seeing LE setting up for something doesn't mean they're after johns. It's a lot of trouble to set up a sting for johns for what will just be misdemeanor arrests (when they go after real SWs -- hoping to be able to arrest you as well - they often get felony drug arrests, girls with outstanding felony warrants, and girls who will become snitches for them). There's no end to the crime in general in the neighborhood you were in, so they could've been up to all kinds of stuff. Maybe that van was monitoring a drug house or something?
* (It does look like there was a SW sweep around the 17000 block of Euclid Ave. last week, though. Also, an HIV positive SW was recently arrested on the 3000 block of Carnegie.)

You are a newbie regarding the attitude of the Cleveland Police.
Do you think you need to do something wrong to get arrested in Cleveland? If you walk up to a cop and ask a question I could think of 2 charges that could result in your arrest immediately, namely disorderly conduct or obstructing official business. Did you know a policeman can arrest you first without charges and then have 48 hours to bring charges later? Cleveland Police is a corrupt police department. Don't think otherwise.
Now, from a practical standpoint they are not going to press the charges in court. But, they will make it miserable for you for at least a few hours.
Personally, I have better things to do with my time than being detained even on bogus charges.
My advice....stay clear.
I was driving with a friend last week westbound on Lorain near w54 street. We had no agenda as to what happened next. After seeing a lone younger white girl walking westbound. My friend told me to double back and take another pass. She saw us coming and walked north on 58. I double back and turned the corner and my budding asked me to pull to the curb and rolled down the window. She made her way to my car and with some small talk. She got into the back seat. Then introduced herself as Tiffany. We drove around for 20 minutes so that everyone got comfortable. She may have done this before; but I sure haven't!
Tiffany was good looking lady. Far better looking than what I'd expect to see working the streets of Cleveland. She said she was 24 years old that I believe. She's about 5' 5" tall maybe 125 pounds, nice cures, pretty face, nice perky boobies, medium length brown hair, and a smile to put you at ease.
Tiffany mentioned her limits, no kissing licking fingering or back door activities. Though she indicated she would be more open minded when she knew us better. Taking care of junior was 30 clams and FS was double that each. Since we not prepared for any action we opted for plan A. Pulled onto a quiet side street and let Tiffany take charge. And was relentless until she finished us off. Tiffany is a great find and when I'm in the area again.
I'll surely look her up again!

I appreciate the advice. It was more of a hypothetical question than anything else. But it's one of those things that I've wanted to do in the past. Of course I've also been tempted to make and hold signs warning people of DUI checkpoints too. I suppose they wouldn't like that much either.

It's just something I heard, I'm not 100% sure it's true, but if it is, then I would certainly assume warning of DUI checkpoints would fall into that category. HOWEVER, whether what I remember is true or not, it's an incredibly stupid idea to stand out with a sign warning people of a DUI checkpoint. If you think cops are honest and are beyond the idea of trumping up charges on someone, you are naive and in for a rude awakening if you act on that assumption.

I still blink my lights to warn of speed traps. Fewer people do so these days; I guess helping each other out is not in style anymore. Pretty unlikely you'd get caught doing that, and even more unlikely that a ticket for it would stick.
As for DUI checkpoints, they are required by law to notify the public about them before they are set up. Of course most people don't see the notification, but they do publish where and when checkpoints will be set up (for example, on the Plain Dealer's web site). So I don't see how it could be a crime to hold a sign that's giving the same warning as the newspaper did.
I don't mess with cops, though. They have too much power, and as somene else noted, many Cleveland cops are corrupt and/or highly unpleasant to deal with (I got out of an arrest because the cop really just wanted the phone number of a hooker in my car and once she gave it to him we were let go, as one example!!).
My advice is to fly as far below the radar as possible and let them mess with other people.

Oh man I saw a 6-7 wsw the next sidestreet north of Bugsys right on W25. Could have had her too but I'm a little paranoid. There was some other activity across the street but they left her alone which seemed weird cause she was pretty good, like she was used up already by them or there was something wrong with her and they knew it. Someone picked her up after I came back the third time around! First two she was mine. Scoped it out real good cause when I first saw her I was south bound on W25 so I pulled onto the side street where the Bugsys parking lot is and cut back through and she was right there on the next street but so was this guy in a SUV so I got a little spooked so I circled back around Clark to like w25 behind that school and saw I guy who looked like he was being serviced in the school parking lot. When I came back she was gone. Well don't know if this is good info cause everything in Cleveland is spotty it seems but she was a looker for a SW.
I see I may have been right about the police in Broadway area but maybe not in the scenario I proposed. I would not get friendly with the Cleveland cops though like some proposed. Their hands are mentally one step away from their holster. If you do get pulled over always pop your dome light on so they can see better. They might think a gun is lurking in the shadows. Just my opinion there.

Once you do "any act" you can be charged. If it was an innocent act I suppose you can explain it to the judge. Just not worth the hassle. I suppose the monger congregation could write to our local representatives to have the law changed :-)

First of all, it's highly unlikely that another officer will see you blinking your lights. Secondly, it's not just "any act" -- it's any act where they can prove beyond a reasonable doubt that you had the PURPOSE (mens rea) of obstructing official business.
And: Warensville Heights v. Wason (1976), 50 Ohio App. 2d 21 -- "Flashing headlights to warn oncoming motorists of radar speed trap is not proven to have obstructed an officer in the course of his duties where there has been no proof that the warned vehicles were actually speeding." So, they don't just have to prove your mental state beyond a reasonable doubt, they have to prove that the car you blinked at was speeding.
I realize that "obstructing official business" is one of those charges cops will often slap you with just to fuck with you (like "disorderly conduct") whether or not it holds up in court. But you people need to calm down. I'd laugh at a cop ticketing me for this shit.

You are correct in your interpretation of the law and case law supporting your point.
You may laugh at the cop writing the ticket but he will get the last laugh because you have been inconvenienced. You were detained and then you have to go to court to plead your case. Not worth it in my opinion.
I had something happen to me about 2 years ago and to a friend just this past week. Nether dealt with SW.
We both were wrongly accused and went to court. We both won our cases but guess what? We still had to pay $100 for court cost. So I was right but still got screwed in the end.
The law isn't on our side.
The way they catch you flashing your lights is when another radar trap is setup down the road. Sometimes two traps are set up close together since alot of people think there WON'T be another one so close and they speed up or flash their lights.

I've been blinking my lights to warn of speed traps for over 20 years. No one is gonna pull me over for doing it. The person who claims they often set up speed traps immediately after other speed traps is lying -- I have never - not one time - seen such a thing (they don't have the money for that many cops, except maybe in Cleveland Heights, where there is a speed trap every 100 yards it seems - that is one community where I advise everyone to always observe every traffic law to an anal degree).
Even if it does happen once in a blue moon, it's still highly unlikely that the cop is gonna go after someone for blinking their lights when they have a sure-thing ticket from a speeder if they just wait another minute. I love how you guys freak out over blinking your lights to warn of speed traps, when meanwhile the message board is about people who pick up prostitutes.
Here's my advice: Blink your lights, unless you see another cop who can see you doing it. With that advice, I guarantee you will never be arrested for blinking your lights.

I had something happen to me about 2 years ago and to a friend just this past week. Nether dealt with SW.
We both were wrongly accused and went to court. We both won our cases but guess what? We still had to pay $100 for court cost. So I was right but still got screwed in the end.
The law isn't on our side.
When you say you won your cases, do you mean that the prosecutor agreed to dismiss the charges? Prosecutors will often dismiss cases with you still having to pay the court costs. Less often (for example, in those cases where there really is no evidence to support the charges), they'll dismiss without costs. When you say you won your case, do you mean you got the prosecutor to dismiss, or do you mean you were found not guilty at trial?
In my case the judge dropped the charges after I testified and made the cop look foolish. I did my homework and had case law on my side but still had to pay court cost.
My friend furnished the documentation to the magistrate and after looking at his validated information, the magistrate dropped the charges. When he took the court papers to the clerk, she told him he had to pay the court cost. He went back to the magistrate and was told he is responsible for the court costs and can file a small claims case against the auto dealer who screwed up. (he bought a new car and the dealer never transferred the plates like they were paid to do. He got a ticket for fictitious plates)
It is a raquet and all about making money. The statement "innocent until proven guilty" is a joke. We are guilty until proven otherwise, and then we still have to pay.

It was cold, snowing and pretty miserable last night about 8 PM, but I lucked out with a SW near Fulton and Lorain. Asked her if she needed a ride and she hopped in. she hadn't slept for three days and was coming down from a crack high, she explained. the combination left her too impaired to make a choice that only dallas offers prostitutes: go to rehab or go to jail.
with those options, the city is taking a new approach to the world's oldest profession. police treat prostitutes as sex crime victims, offering many a chance to clean up and get off the streets.
the program's advocates acknowledge its success has been limited — about half of the 375 women have chosen rehab, and just 21 have turned their lives around. but authorities say they're gaining the women's trust and have gotten leads on unsolved crimes.
the program could soon spread beyond dallas. more than 200 law enforcement agents from the u.s. and canada attended the national prostitution diversion conference here in november. since then, groups from edmonton, atlanta and fort worth have asked for more information about the program.
"we are the pioneers, i suppose," said renee breazeale, program director for homeward bound, a nonprofit detoxification and counseling center in dallas. "it's the only police-led program and represents a change of culture for law enforcement."
the program starts with a monthly roundup of prostitutes in an area health officials consider the national epicenter of syphilis. dallas vice police have identified more than 1,300 prostitutes working four truck stops serve that more than 2,000 big rigs a day.
"truckers were conducting counter-surveillance for prostitutes," dallas police sgt. louis felini said. "they let them use cb radios to advertise prostitution and drugs. as soon as a squad car entered the lot, every truck driver along i-20 knew how many cops and where they were."
arresting prostitutes accomplished little. many considered going to jail part of the cost of doing business and were back at the truck stops within 48 hours, felini said.
deciding to try something new, he found five of the worst-off women spots in homeward bound. all eventually gave up prostitution, and felini had an idea.
"if we were able to do that for the worst of the worst, then maybe we could do that on a much larger scale," he said.
his brainstorm became the prostitution diversion initiative. police set up a staging area once a month in a vacant lot near the truck stops. four mobile command trucks surround folding tables and chairs where social service workers set up shop. the action usually begins about 7 p.m. and runs until 3 a.m.
police confiscate the prostitute's property and interview them for information about criminal activity, such as whether pimps are running **** prostitutes out of area motels. then social service workers assess the women's drug, alcohol and mental health counseling needs. the women get std tests and other medical care a mobile health clinic.
the last stop of the night is the mobile courtroom. if the women have no felony warrants and seem sincere, the judge gives them the opportunity to avoid jail and enter rehab. after 45 days of inpatient counseling, they receive help with education, child care and housing.
about half of the 375 prostitutes brought to the staging area in the past two years have chosen rehab. just 21 have turned their lives around.
that's modest success at best, felini acknowledged, but he said there's also long-term value in cultivating prostitutes as sources. police have developed leads on a couple of unsolved homicides, and the women are learning to trust officers.
"maybe a year from now, i might hear from one who says, 'you might want to take a look at this person,'" felini said.
many of the prostitutes detained last month didn't seem to know what was going on. a teenager in a pink jumpsuit and pink rubber clogs sat on the ground, her back against a truck, staring blankly. she turned her head and vomited.
another woman in 4-inch heels and a strapless dress that didn't quite cover her rear tottered through the staging area. later, she told the judge she was not a prostitute, her cringe-inducing outfit notwithstanding.

the prostitutes range in age from their teens to their 60s. more than half have children. nearly all abuse drugs.
"the truck stop prostitute is at the bottom rung of prostitution," felini said. "they are trading sex for survival needs: food, a place to sleep."
karen green, 47, works as an advocate for the prostitutes. she was one of them until a prison counseling program helped her clean up 13 years ago.
"people think they are criminals, but they are victims," green said. "they've never had a break. they don't know what living right is.""

Notice that the earliest time stamp - at 19:46 - they made two arrests at the same time, one for soliciting (w/ HIV -- always hate to see that!) and the other for promoting prostitution. Then, a bunch more solicitation arrests at the same location, one later that night and three more the next aftenoon.
Sounds like a hotel sting, no?

Busted in 06 at the holliday on an outcall at the age of 19 at 21 in 08 they attempted to bust me and my friends who were sharing living expenses. I made them show me a body part. They got mean and disrespectful but I had my freedom. I told my friends to stay off 150th they didn't listen and that was the consequence. Feb 08 was the second incident. At the LaQuinta.

I picked up a SW on Lorain, between West Blvd, and the bridge the crosses over I-90. I can't remember her name, but she was nice, but she was obviously OCD. She said she was new. She was nice, fun, and my dumba$$ forgot to get her phone number, if she has one. Does anyone else have any experience with her? It would probably have to be fairly recent, if she told the truth about being new.

Got a chance to get out of the house so I made my way down to check out the action on Lorain. Nada, zip, nothing. Noticed two LE's. Plus a third one with flashers on in high speed response to a call. Looped around to Clark. Saw the cops with lights still flashing at the gas station at Fulton and Clark. Down 25th and back to Lorain. Score was still 0-0. Saw a possible, but the guy ahead of me snatched her up. Was about to throw in the towel, when I turned down 65th, and there she was. Got the look and turned down the side street. Elyria: In the past I have had luck strolling Middle East and West Ave. Usually I had to stroll the side streets because LE has chased them off the main road. Beware LE will stop and question you if they see you driving around. This has been a high crime and drug area and is heavily patrolled by the local LE as well as the Highway Patrol. Yes the Highway patrol has jurisdiction under an agreement set up about 5 yrs ago and they do drug and prostitution sweeps in this area all the time.
Lorain: the only area I had luck is RT 57 by Broadway and 21st street area. Very limited activity recently and Lorain PD keeps a watchful eye.

Did the stroll this afternoon. Nothing until almost dark. Saw the Trany in the white coat and thanks to the board I past.

I did find out why that area is fruitful and that is because Gaylord ave. Has serious drug activity. It is the next street over paralel to Harvard. If you go on it looking go up Harvard to like 110th there is a little side street right that leads over to it, a right will take you back to 93rd. If you go up Gaylord from 93rd. You can't make a left to get out legally and I think Gaylord dead ends if I remember correctly. Lots of dope boys on that street be careful. Good to hear. Plenty of SW on east side but so hit and miss and terrible quality generally. Did alot of cruising last year all over. I could write a good report on where to look but thing was I didn't pick up a one.

Lorain, W 25, Clark, Storer yesterday for a few hours in evening, nothing out but the same old same old. Few weeks ago did see a young dark haired sweetie around 54/Lorain by Steve's, but somebody else scooped her.That may have been Brandy (said she was Mandy at first?). Went out for about 2 hours from 11AM-1PM today, didn't see a thing, did lorain, clark, denison and not a thing. Just one popo sitting at the gas station on 73rd and lorain. Anyone recommend a better time/roads to check out. Has to be day time.

Went out for a stroll this afternoon - Saturday between 1-3. I wasn't really looking for a hookup but more strolling to see what was available. There was a lot more activity than I have seen in a long time. Also there seemed to be an awful lot of mongers out hunting.
I saw 1 brunet who looked like Natasha. I swung arround to get her number and there must have been 10 cars trying to pick her up. I am not sure if it was Natasha but this girl was looking really good. If it was Natasha the break from the street did her a lot of good.

Saw Destiny walking down Lorain at about 4:30pm on Sunday. She walked up one of the streets in the 50's and a monger picked her up. He made damn good use of a side street too because I turned around and this guy had already swooped her up. Then about an hour later, I was leaving Wendy's (have to love that spicy chicken!) and saw her around 44th. that is the same girl I saw before picking up Destiny. I think it was a very healthy Natasha but I can not confirm yes or no.
