Cheech1Turning off a cell phone will not stop it from sending out a location in the case of most phones. It is necessary to remove the battery then the phone has no power to send location data.

Excellent plan, especially with women who may reluctantly go along with a sting to have charges, I. E. , possession or anything else, reduced and since there seems to be a considerable amount of substance use I have frequently thought about such a possibility.I can think of several ladies right off top of my head that we all here have seen that would probably do such a thing. Others not so much. But you still never know. All of them are guilty until proven innocent in that department is the way I look at that scenario.

The key element with these modern stings ever since the law passed is that they can track the guy through their cell phone, and the arrests are performed immediately now, either with the cops dragging the guy out of the car or the room is full of cops upon entering the hotel room, with no decoy or offer made such as in past operations. I have yet to figure out how exactly they do this tracking thing although I am trying. The first example of this was the 2nd akron sting, they actually arrested a guy 23 miles from the sting house if you look at the arrest location it was a random address in the middle of the road. My speculation is that he got close, left, and then they went and found him. You would have to literally have your finger on the burn button for an app or just be prepared to discard your phone altogether. Ironically its my belief that their illegal arrests actually help the guy out when it comes to court, if they waited for an offer the guy would be convicted, but because they are now arresting illegally before the guy even does anything wrong over half the guys in that sting for example got dismissed, and the rest reduced. at the end of the day there is nothing illegal about meeting a woman online.I wonder if they track burner apps too. Probably if they are going to the trouble to track actual cell phones. Sounds like if they want to get you then they will.
And yes, when I am meeting someone new I often have my finger on the burner uninstall as I approach but I get super paranoid and nervous.
