I know it is in bad form to reply to my own post, but as I await my morning coffee and contemplate today's search for the perfect girl, I have reached a decision that I knew I was going to make: Craigslist does not compare to the AMP.

The Craigslist Upsell-Nappiness Transaction queens (from here on out to be known as CU-NT Queens) have disappointed me for the last time.

On Wednesday, September 3, Carl E. Worthy, 38, and Wendy K. Kopach, 37, both of 14571 Golden Oak Road in Centreville were arrested without incident at their home. They were both charged with three counts of obtaining money by false pretense and two counts of malicious wounding. Worthy was additionally charged with burglary. Both were transported to the Fairfax County Adult Detention Center. The cases are still under investigation. Additional charges are expected.

So I was feeling a little hungry today and I had the day off so I decided to try out a sweet little Thai Apple. Very cute and sweet, short with implanted vitamins and minerals. Had the opportunity to sample the latest menu at my favorite Chinese place in Tysons Corner. I noticed they now display their menu in Washington City Paper and a separate website. My hostess was Lisa who recently arrived from Boston. I was hungry for some Chinese and Lisa did not fail me. The meal was not especially spicy and the temperature was less than steaming but it did satisfy me. I especially enjoyed the K9 dessert.

Yea, Chinese isn't as tasty and delicious in the DC/MD/VA area as it is in Cali. I'm not sure what it is. They're just not cooked right or something. Whether you like sampling their dripping hot wonton soup or their tender sweet & sour chicken breasts, the quality just doesn't compare. I'm not sure why.

Ran into Tammy yesterday and was not to pleased with my visit.

Both of these and some of the other "Chinese Condos" are run by the same people and the girls are rotated regularly, about every two weeks.

Disregard whatever picture you see in any of their ads and just be prepared to get the job done at a low price whenever you decide to try one of these places.

In fairness, while the pic has stayed the same she has gotten older. So at the very least she's not stupid enough to keep the same age. She started out a couple years ago as 35 or 36. I think she also started with a NY area code phone number. Then there was some backlash aginst some poor service from a few providers coming down from there. I have noticed alot of CL girls stating that they have TER reviews and it has really helped me. I have a process I always go through for choosing a provider. 1) I run the name and number through TER to see if they have any reviews. 2) I google the phone number to see if thier add is a first time or If I find links to other CL adds in other cities I check them to see if they have expired as they should. If not it's a red LE flag to me that they put adds up all over to make them look like they are traveling. 3) If they only have 1 or 2 TER reviews I click the reviewers names to see what other providers they have seen to be sure they arent putting up their own reviews.

I have found that alot of CL girls do have reviews on TER but it's a game as usual. Some have crapy reviews and think were not going to go the extra mile to check and assume they are qulity providers because they say so, and some have like 1 or 2 reviews each month and you can tell they put them on there themselves. I have found a few good ones that are the real deal though. I use this process from adds I see everywhere and it works ok for me. Rarely do I ever see someone unless they have good TER reviews or I read about them on forums like this one from mongers with lots of reviews of their own. The following ad is currently running in the Northern Virginia Craigslist:

Has anybody ever heard of or experienced an escort referring to "her" TER reviews and in reality are just using someone else's information? "Rachel" refers to her TER reviews and when I checked, there are some obvious discrepancies than caused me to wonder what could stop a provider from doing this? Obviously, upon meeting, and depending on how close the providers matched, the problem would be apparent but since mongers in general do most of their thinking with the little head, it probably doesn't create that much of an issue at that point and she wins in the end. The TER review for Rachel in Woodbridge states she has blond hair (not really a huge things nowadays) and "32 to 33 cup and pert". As you can see, this Rachel is anything but pert. I rembered Just Ken's review when I saw a recent Ad for Jan on an advertising site, so I called and made an appointment. After this scam/waste of time, I went back to that review site & realized I didn't check the full phone number.

More frustration-- driving away from her incall, I was thinking of how I'd post this ordeal/rip-off for fellow hobbyists. Back on my computer, I went to CL & tried to post a warning in erotic services. But, CL erotic posts now requires a 5. 00 fee and some 'phone verification' to post in the erotic service section-- I vaguely recall an article about CL doing this b/c of LE concerns. I was thinking of calling her but couldn't clear enough time. I'm sorry she scammed you - a similar thing happened to me about fifteen years ago. Rates were only $1.6 then but to me it was real money. Strange thing though, the girl I met at the incall gave me an address to which I could write to request a refund. I did and wonder of wonders, never heard back. Don't let it get you down too much. It can happen to anybody. I'd bet most guys wouldn't post about it out of sheer embarassment.

You never know what these CL chicks are going to do or who is hiding in the adjacent connecting room(eg a pimp or LEO), you did the right thing listening to your instincts even though it cost you.

I had a similar situation once with a CL girl but did get my money back as I knew she was legit. She got really weird during a second visit (I had seen her a week before) but for some reason she was unwilling to perform her normal routine for me to which I told her I'll be going and wanted my donation back. Well she started to freak out and started coming at me..to which I replied if you put a finger on me I'm going to deck you!

In hindsight it was a dumb move but I got away with it and fortunately my cash back.

In the 15 yrs I've been doing this, this was the only time things went wrong and I feel pretty damn lucky it was the only experience of it's kind.

Beware! Rip-off or LE (Claudia 954-302-8722)

Set appt, & didn’t discuss details over phone. All I wanted was to her time & some modeling of some lingerie, & whatever may happen btw consenting adults. Although a mature blonde answered the door, she was NOT the gal in the pics on CL (CL pics showed a mature blonde, below shoulder length hair wearing a white dress leaning against stair railing).

Put donation on table, we sat down. After some chit-chat, things got odd. First warning sign was she said it was strange I asked to take shower to freshen up. She got more weird by asking if I wanted her to go out somewhere. When I asked her to put on some stockings, she then said she didn’t have a skirt, so putting on stockings didn’t make sense. Then she said she wasn’t going to do any modeling, that we were just spending time together. I’m thinking I’m getting scammed, or she’s LE trying to bait me into talking details. I said it’s best if I just left. I asked for donation back, and got a look like I asked her to start doing backflips- she repeats that the money is for her hour, regardless of what we do. She said we could hang out for the hour. I suggested she give me half back b/c I was there for about 5 minutes. She repeats firmly, like I’m an idiot, that’s it’s for her hour of time. Cutting my losses & not wanting trouble, I just left.

Afterwards, I looked again at her ad more closely, saw that the pics looked close to her but weren’t her (pics were better). Also saw her ad was very simple, stating incall available on Tues & Wed, her name, & her number, plus standard disclaimer at bottom of ad.

Either total rip-off/scam, or LE!

Here's where I was a dumbass-- I did my homwework before calling 'Claudia', and thought she had good reviews. My mistake= I went to a review site, selected DC area, typed in Claudia & only the area code of '954'. A "Claudia" with that same area code came up, the description of the gal was similar, & I quickly looked at those (good) reviews. After this scam/waste of time, I went back to that review site & realized I didn't check the full phone number.

More frustration-- driving away from her incall, I was thinking of how I'd post this ordeal/rip-off for fellow hobbyists. Back on my computer, I went to CL & tried to post a warning in erotic services. But, CL erotic posts now requires a 5. 00 fee and some 'phone verification' to post in the erotic service section-- I vaguely recall an article about CL doing this b/c of LE concerns. I wasn't interested in that, but I feel limited by not being able to post a warning onthe same site she advertised on. I'd pay the 5. 00 to CL b/c I'm so bitter, but I don't like 'phone verification', whatever that is.

Bottom line, sucks to lose 220 in 5 minutes, but I guess it could've been worse. First true rip-off in my few years- sucks.

MnVThere is a safegaurd one can take to prevent this, although it is unconventional.

(1) Obtain LARGE denomination bills for the fee. In Mason37's case, a pair of $100 bills.

(2) Cut the bills in half. In Mason37's case, he would have two left-halves and two right-halves. (Note: This may sound silly, but the reason for doing this is straightforward. Banks will accept bills that have been cut in half and can provide you with a whole bill in exchange. Actually, any bank can legally accept an incomplete bill, as long as you have the serial number. Banks occasionally see this, for a variety of reasons. One simple excuse is that your 5-year old cut daddy's dollars in half. Use your imagination and you'll be able to come up with a pletora of reasons as to how this might happen.)

(3) When you arrive at the provider's incall location, give her one set of the halves (either the left or the right side). Show her the matching set, tell her that she will receive it at the end of your session, and explain to her that this is for your protection b/c you've been ripped-off in the past. Also explain to her that banks will accept taped bills. Tell her that a half-set of bills does you no good, so there's no reason for you to keep your half when the session is done. (DO NOT tell her that banks will accept partial bills, otherwise you will lose your leverage.)

(4) At the conclusion of the session, give her the other set of halves.

If she balks at this approach, or insists on getting both halves up-front, that's your cue to bail out. Chances are, if she's a ROB, she won't take the half-set you offer her. But even if she does, and then tries to hold it as leverage against you, you can still bail out and redeem your set of halves at your local bank. Chances are, she won't want to see you walk if she thinks that she'll be stuck with a set of useless halves.

Granted, it's an unconventional approach, but it will offer you protection against this sort of "provider."

Saw Rose in Woodbridge. Total bait-n-switch. And not even a good one. But I relearned a lesson I taught myself earlier.

In response to another post, I had posted some rules that I go by for searching out providers on CL.

One of my own rules was: Never see a new provider the first day she is in town. Why? Because usually if she's a fraud or LE, she will be sniffed out in the first day or so, and be forced to leave. Even if you've seen her before, wait a day or so, because someone else could be stealing her pics.

Like I said, I didn't follow my own rule. Horniness. Rose had only started posting that day. I should have waited.

After arranging the meetup with Rose, arrived at the hotel in Woodbridge, which is becoming the area where substandard providers hang (I guess cheaper room prices makes for more games and crappier service) who just wanna make a few bucks in a few days and go home to pay the light bill.

The girl opens the door, looks nothing like the pics on CL. She was a mixed very light-skinned black girl. Very flabby caboose, as if she'd lost lots of weight quickly (Hmmm, I wonder how? ). On the setup call she had promised me that she was the girl in the pics.

Now, I understand the thing about the little head, but that feeling for me is normally undermined by the fear that I will be walking into either a bait-n-switch or an LE sting. I don't start getting horny until I see a naked tit. None of this "Well, since I'm here, . " sh*t with me. Not after all the prep work I did (call, shower, shave, gas, ATM, drive, get there on time, wait in the car, etc.) just to get here.

I pointed out that she's not the girl in the pics. She immediately tried to use that "I changed my hair" crap. Nah, no way. I'm looking at her, tilting my head the way dogs do when they're perplexed at something. "I understand if you wanna leave, " she says. I thought to myself, "I'm damn sure glad you understand, " and politely said "I'm gonna go. You're just not what I was expecting. " It wasn't worth cussing her out--not my style anyway. Me walking out the door with her funds was punishment enough.

I did point out that she might want to change her fake pictures, because the latin girl's pics she used had a butterfly tattoo on her back, where she did not. She's like "Mm hmm. Okay. Sure, Yep. " and I left.

I hear a lot of guys talk bad about providers off CL, that you can't trust it, etc. I also hear a lot of guys knowing they're getting shafted but they stay and let it happen because, well, you know.

The scams are out there, but I think there are rules to apply to CL that will keep you out of trouble. And if you don't get what you want and you know you are being scammed, have the power to walk out. Don't give up your money until you are sure. In a few years at this, I have never been scammed (knock wood) and have walked out four times on a bait-n-switch.

Reading some of the ads over at CL I noticed several claiming to be "bombshell" and ones who will "leave you begging for more".

Is it just me or is it just a litle strange to want to bang a "bombshell"?

Why would I hire a girl would would "leave you begging for more"?

Both of those terms seem almost as offensive as one of them calling me "Daddy" or "papi". I have no desire to bang my daughter! If I did I sure as hell would not advertise it!

AND - have you noticed how many of the ads showcase really poor spelling and grammar? These gals know enough to come up with the spiffy characters in their headlines but cannot spell worth a damn, it seems.

Not only are some of the ad descriptions nonsensical and ludicrous but the language, grammar, and spelling are at a mid-school level. But that is not all that is going on. Many of the ads are misleading, display hijacked photos, make false claims, use bait-and-switch techniques, or are a complete scam. I have no problem in just walking out if I don't like what I see. What is most scary is the possibility of being robbed or attacked by a pimp or bodyguard. I chalk it up to luck, that this has not happened to me. More frequently, what has occured when I was able to make contact and was ready to make the arrival call, I do not get an answer to my call because another customer showed up before me or she was just playing some kind of a game. I can truthfully say that in the last 10 years that I have been using CL I have never really been 100% satisfied with an appointment. I feel you can get the most for your buck at the CC's and DC AMPs.
