I have been to ST twice and both times I parked in front of the storefront and entered from the street. I don't believe there is a back entrance. Could be them trying to market their location as private and discreet. IMO because the street is a secondary street it's is a little quieter and not as busy as a main road like Arlington Blvd. I don't mind the location. I think Arlington Physical.
Therapy is at a terrible location since it faces Columbia pike and it's very busy.
As far as your experience, the last time I was there I had a similar experience. Overall, I'm not that experienced with AMPs but I've been to about a dozen different ones and it runs the gambit of really great high level service to just plain bland and everything in between. I would love it if the experience was more consistent across AMP girls and AMP establishments but for me that's part of the fun. It's the not knowing what you will get and the chase of finding that real gem.There is street parking in the back but no entrance. You can go down the stairs or walk around the block.

Interesting session yesterday. I am looking for a legit massage quality but that little extra. I went to the ballston mall and a massage place that was there previous had moved back in. I was really sore and had gone to it before it closed for renovations so I decided to take the plunge. Alright Gents, I decided to TOFTT (but not really because they've been reviewed under a different Alias). So I stopped by 8**3 for a hh massage. I was greeted by an attractive Korean woman mid 40's. I paid the house for hh which was. 6. Undressed and got a very good massage with lots of teasing. After 20 minutes she asked me to flip, and pointed to Dr. Johnson. I smiled, and nodded. Great technique. We had a great conversation during the session which I think played a part into her being so cooperative. I tipped her. 4 originally and then added. 10 because of the great service and some of it got in her hair. It had been a while. Will repeat.
For any new mongers wondering how to negotiate. I have learned over time that you don't really need to speak. If you have done your research and have found out the type of services they offer you know what they are expecting. I typically place the tip on the dresser before the session begins. Thanks for that. Flight was delayed so I was not able to see her this weekend, but after chatting with her on text, she is really frickin cool. She told me that I was really sweet (I spoke to her with a lotta respect). By the way, I am a newbie and I really want to tell everyone about this ridiculously awesome spa in Midlothian, VA, but I am not sure if I am supposed to tell the name. It is further than what you all may be willing to travel, but it is so worth it. I never asked for anything but the hand release, but those hands were worth it. After a lot more than three visits to ST, I can confirm your impression. I went on a weeknight around 6:00 just after work. I did not call ahead. I walked in (2nd floor). Was met by Leah, who I believe is Chines American, because she sure seemed like a native speaker, so that was good. I said I saw the Bedpage ad and asked for a pedicure. SHe said yes, they do pedicures, but I would have to call ahead so that she could "bring her equipment". So I guess they don't do too many.
Well, I wasn't there for a pedicure, so I asked for a half hour massage. Standard room setup. No shower, I believe. I prefer a shower afterwards, so I just asked for a half hour with no oil.
I had a nice conversation with Leah. She has a good sense of humor and fun to talk to. And this is all while she was giving me a nice soft touch. SHe might be a good masseuse, but I did not challenge her skills during the session. Well, not her massage skills.
She is late 20's perhaps. A few extra pounds but very nice. She was accomodating to roaming, and gave me an excellent finish. I never did get that pedicure.
I'd return. Except that I enjoy sampling around.

I've recently paid a couple visits to Sisters Spa on Liitle River just befor the Beltway. North side of LRT, 2 story office building, 2nd floor above the hair place. Aromatherapy. At least I think it's called Sisters. Maybe I misunderstood that.
Clutterd place on 2nd floor. Room in the back. It's funky, but I actually found that kinda nice. They do have a shower. But it's standup and not looking too great. I haven't used it.
Both visits the therapist was Chinese woman, first time Vivian and second was Nana. Neither spoke English well.
Because there was no shower, I avoided oil. Vivian was a 40 ish woman, OK looks, just a few extra pounds. Pricing was $70 for an hour and $50 for half. She gave me a pretty good massage. After a while I started getting friendly with her legs, so she got the idea. On the flip it took some persuasion. She doesn't do that etc. Etc. - but a smile and gentle playful persistence did get me under her bra. Good conclusion, nothing special. Tipped her $60 for relenting.
Nana. Not so great. I dropped in with little time after work (and after trying Papaya. Really cute girl who was in the middle of stroking some other lucky guy and coouldn't take me right then. And then stopping at Annandale Wellness and politely declining the 50 ish skinny Korean lady (I agree that sometime older ladies can be spectacular, but I had to make a snap judgment, and this one didn't seem to have the spark),.

I only went for the half hour for $50. Gave her $60 and she didn't offer change. Short time so it was quick. Soft touch, and it was going OK. But then language got in the way. She thinks she knows what to do, but she won't listen, or perhaps just does not understand. She had immediately grabbed a handful of oil, and didn't seem to understand "not yet". And when I asked about roaming, I was told $8. Meh.
It seemed to be going south, so rather than proceed, I signalled a pause, and got up and started dressing. Tried to explain politely that it seemed to be a language problem, and that it would be best for me to just go. She confirmed that she had the $10 and I left it at that. I was out in 15 minutes.
Sometimes it just doesn't work out.

.Good point GnS! Now I remember that a pedicure was my second visit to KK and the first to her condo. Going back 2 or 3 years now I think. For fun I decided to try disrobing. After all, the cues I was getting were positive. She was amused but took it in stride of course. Lay down on her table. Probably my most exciting pedicure! She offered waxing, but I declined. We settled on other services. Waxing is another story that I'll get to.
So yes. To the first poster. Consider KK as well. My first visit was to her salon location (manicure) before being invited to a more discreet location.

She stepped it up and I received a better than average massage. On the flip, I discovered that those soft, youthful hands had another skill as well. Base price was $60 and I tipped $60. I normally will tip $50 when the house fee is $60, but didn't have a ten, so rewarded her for her efforts with an extra twenty. She was ok with my OTC roaming, was pleasant and could communicate well for a young Chinese lady. I would see her again.

Sometimes it just doesn't work out.That's the right call. I say that I'm not much of a gambling man, but that's just a flat out lie. While you won't find me at the casino or scratching off lotto tickets, mongering at its core is a form of gambling. You have to be willing to take the risk, and sometimes if not more often than we'd like to there will be disappointments but the reality is we need that because that's what make the wins so much sweeter. Cutting your losses and knowing when to fold shows that you're just an experienced poker player.

Good point GnS! Now I remember that a pedicure was my second visit to KK and the first to her condo. Going back 2 or 3 years now I think. For fun I decided to try disrobing. I went to see KK today for a pedicure and a massage. The pedicure did the job but she does not have a foot soaker tub. THE MASSAGE however was great. She knows her stuff and makes my body feel wonderful. After the flip and more massage there was a paus and she took the towel of my eyes to find her topless and in panties. She said that is as far as she goes and proceeded to a nice finish with some roaming allowed. The Massage is worth it. Damage $+6 I tipped a little more.

Nothing prevents providers (or pimps & friends) from registering and posting self-reviews.
Granting free (7 days) VIP access for posting reviews can result in bogus reports.
Providers can have negative reviews removed. One specific example relates to Latina Alexa in Tysons. I noticed a negative review about her that was gone a few days later.
All of the above also applied to TER but the sheer volume of reviews made it easier to pick out the bogus ones. TER also made providers jump through some hoops to get reviews removed. They generally couldn't do it just because they didn't like what was written.
As with all things in the hobby, good homework and thinking with the big head is advised. And reading reviews with a critical and skeptical eye, plus confirming via this forum, is part of that process. Always good to remember that everyone out there wants to get their hands on your money and you're the only one who can ensure you receive fair value in return.

Basically, Luna had told her to ask for A team pricing, but she was somewhere in the C or D leagues.
I spent a good 5+ minutes showering off all the lotion, got dressed, and emerged from the bathroom.
She continued to be apologetic and offered me $20 back. Not a great gesture, but a nice gesture. I just said again "You're still learning. Do you really want to do this?" and left it at that. Oh, and she did offer a water bottle.
Sorry if this was too long. I'm just processing the disappointment. I tend to decide last minute to go mongering, rather than set up an appointment well in advance with a known trusted provider, and so this is the consequence sometimes.

So I returned to the oasis in Franconia yesterday and discovered that the lake has dried up. Vivian was gone and her replacement was less than willing to go beyond the muscle rub. So I tend not to overreact when a provider tries a "soft" upsell. A "hard" upsell, OTOH, is a different thing altogether.
My response depends on whether I want to see that particular provider again. If I do, then I politely remind her that there are plenty of other places I can take my business and, if she has higher-paying clients waiting in line, I'm happy to get out of their way and go elsewhere. And I might also (politely) mention that I have a certain amount of $ available for playtime and, if I have to choose between more visits at regular prices, or fewer visits at higher prices, I'll choose the first option. That usually results in the provider changing her tune. If it doesn't, then she gets scratched off my "repeat" list. And any "hard" upsell also triggers a "no repeat" response from me.
Clients always have the ultimate leverage because we control our wallets. Providers control the services they offer, and how much they charge. But we can always think with the big head and refuse to overpay.
P.S. For a provider I don't care about seeing again, I skip all the above and just say "next time, Honey, but that's all I brought for today," or some other excuse. My goal is simply to leave with as little drama as possible, never to return.

After several visits to SpWell in Sprgfld, I've decided I won't return.
It is not a "bad place" per-se -- but, based on my visits, most of the SpWell experience is "below the average" of my experiences at other NoVA establishments.
Positives.
-- clean facility. Not "hospital clean" perhaps, but clean.
-- convenient location with a very large parking lot.
-- convenient hours (for walk-ins). I assume they take appointments, but I was always a walk-in.
-- prices -- 25% less than other establishments.
-- gratitude for tip -- 25% higher than most other places. (The sincere thank you / appreciation expressed by the massage technician really surprised me. Although I had experienced a much-below average massage experience, I left a "standard tip" - she counted it, and then gave me several appreciative hugs and asked I return).
BELOW AVERAGE (drawbacks).
-- no TS.
-- studio set-up // wall dividers (not to ceiling), lights and sounds from outside the studio (not a particularly relaxing environment -- next door resturant has been noisy (loud music) on more than one occasion).
-- the various massage technicians I have seen displayed little skill and little energy (exception, the manager provided me an excellent Swedish massage once), and little interest.
Within three miles of the SpWell location there are at least 15 other massage spa / studios and numerous independent technicians -- I will continue to visit them.

That's what happens when your faves are suddenly gone and you have no way of finding them. The only way I know of to prevent that happening is to get the personal digits of your faves while you can. I always tell them that I'll only use it to find out when and where they're working because I don't want to lose touch with them. After several visits to SpWell in Sprgfld, I've decided I won't return.
It is not a "bad place" per-se -- but, based on my visits, most of the SpWell experience is "below the average" of my experiences at other NoVA establishments.
Positives.
-- clean facility. Not "hospital clean" perhaps, but clean.
-- convenient location with a very large parking lot.
-- convenient hours (for walk-ins). I assume they take appointments, but I was always a walk-in.
-- prices -- 25% less than other establishments.
-- gratitude for tip -- 25% higher than most other places. (The sincere thank you / appreciation expressed by the massage technician really surprised me. Although I had experienced a much-below average massage experience, I left a "standard tip" - she counted it, and then gave me several appreciative hugs and asked I return).
BELOW AVERAGE (drawbacks).
-- no TS.
-- studio set-up // wall dividers (not to ceiling), lights and sounds from outside the studio (not a particularly relaxing environment -- next door resturant has been noisy (loud music) on more than one occasion).
-- the various massage technicians I have seen displayed little skill and little energy (exception, the manager provided me an excellent Swedish massage once), and little interest.
Within three miles of the SpWell location there are at least 15 other massage spa / studios and numerous independent technicians -- I will continue to visit them.
Always be nice to the ladies.

The place itself. . . Not too bad. It's on the 2nd floor. There's no TS available, so that's a slight bummer. And I don't know how many rooms they have so they might hit capacity more often than others. And for this particular visit there was only one staff member working (possibly the primary proprietor?
Went in the front door (it faces the main road across from a major shopping plaza if that's a concern for you) and up the stairs and was greeted by a early to mid 30-ish looking but is probably actually in her 40's (you know how that goes) Asian lady.
Very friendly and welcoming. I didn't get an English name but did get a Chinese one.
It was. 7 for an hour, which made me think this place might be straight legit. But that was okay too since worst case I get a massage out of it. Speaking of which. . .
The massage was AMAZING. Like most places can (and often do) phone it in but there are only a handful of places like this (GnG "behind Elon's" in Tysons also being another fine example) where even if nothing else was on the menu, I would stop by JUST for the massage, it's that good.
During the massage she asks "How did you hear about this place?
Me not knowing if this place is "legit" or "extras-friendly" I just reply with ". . . The internet".
She says she's just trying to figure out which places she advertises are more effective so she can concentrate on those.
That in mind I play a bit coy and say "It wasn't Google. . . ".
I think that gave her the confirmation she was looking for to offer up additional services.
After a very satisfying massage (that REALLY worked out knots in my upper back / traps BTW) she started brushing against the boys ever so gently with her fingers eventually teasing them while simultaneously letting her fingers explore between my cheeks and finally moving to a full on milking action with me on all fours.

During my lurk I've visited a lot of the Thai private masseuses. I've visited Nikki, Tara, Mint and now KK. If you have experience with these ladies you can probably tell I'm a fan of thicker providers. I unfortunately for this hobby, suffer from anti minute man syndrome. Has anyone heard of this place? It's located at 1057 Broad Street. I did a search and didn't find anything. I also checked rub maps and nothing. So the way I came upon this was I met a Chinese girl through one of the so called asian crapshoot places. After our session we exchanged numbers and texted each other every now and again. First choice, she could have completed the 60 min massage + HJ, for which I think a $40 tip (the going rate everywhere else) would have been fair. Second choice, she could have completed the 60 min massage with nothing extra, for which I think a 20% tip ($20 if feeling generous) would have been fair.
But she chose what, IMHO, was the unacceptable option of cutting your session short by more than half. Even with a decent HJ at the end, that doesn't offset the BS upsell and 50% shorting of time.
Some might think that's too drastic, but I see tipping as a way of communicating how pleased or displeased I am with the service and I have no problem using that communication method to make a point. I also never make such a drastic statement if there's any chance I might visit again in the future. But, with the scenario you describe, I'd almost certainly never repeat so "No Tip" would be my way of saying goodbye, good riddance, and maybe prompting some rethinking on their part. Also, if there a MMS available, I'd make sure she was aware of the situation.
It would be great karma if a bunch of mongers would visit this place in the near future and for every one who got the same crap treatment to walk out with little or no tip. Decided to check out some of the local flavors that I've always been wanting to try out.

Funny enough though, I believe there are two other establishments attached to this same building: "Best Therapeutic" and "Yams". Both are LITERALLY around the corner from Serene.
But I figured I came here for Serene I might as well check that out first.
I walked in the front door and rang the doorbell and was greeted by a visibly older Korean woman. I'm talkin she might got a week before she evolves into MMS. Not the most pleasing thing but I've been surprised before so we proceed.
I ask for a table shower first so I can establish some rapport and get a feel for things. Says her name is Ori and that Sundays are usually their busy days (maybe that means you might get a chance to roll others as it seemed she mighta been the only one holding down the fort during that visit.).

I had 3 separate dreams that I had the Best treatment at Best. Angie is a very pretty sweet heart! The first time Aunt Flow was visiting, but she allowed nursing and explosive finish. The second time, fingered her to O. The third dream, MMS took care of me. She provided a wonderful prostate massage and explosive finish. I was never rushed to wake up from my dream, I actually overslept all 3 x. It was standard dream fee and the same for the dream catchers. For another Jackson, my dream would have been the Best Dream ever, so it was only a wet dream including the dream catchers.

Visited BT Sprgfld on Sunday -- it had been a hot day of yard work, and I enjoy the massage.
As usual, I enjoyed my session and visit with the staff (all ladies over the age of 40) -- and this session was a bit like a "hot yoga" experience. The air conditioning in their building / suite was not working, so it was almost 90 degrees in the studio.
A bit "sauna like," the heat was tailor made for "Thai stretching," and Judy, Leah and Jenny all know how to use their strong arms and hands to work-out the knots.
Cool-towels for post massage wipe-down.
An hour well spent.
Always be nice to the ladies.

I know I'm asking a lot here. But curious if anyone has stopped by. You can always hope.Since its convenient and out of curiosity, I stopped by. Its in a strip mall right on 7. Upstairs and all the way to the right. I wasn't planning on staying, just checking. Buzzed in and a woman took me straight into a room. Name was Mindy, good looking for 40's, 5'4 or so, thin. Didn't understand a word as I said I would be back later. There was another woman but she was very plain looking.
Could be fun. There a few places higher on my list but it may be a spot. I realize this doesn't answer much but I only had a minute.
