Was out earlier this morning running a couple of errands. Was in Hampton so I decided to go down Riprap to check the area. Knew I was in trouble when I turned onto Riprap. HPD had the road blocked doing a "safety" inspection.
"WHAT THE"????? Less than a week after the area gets mentioned in the USASG, the boys (and girls) in blue take up residence right there?????

Yesterday (Tuesday) stopped at 7-11 in Hampton, near Tide Mill Cafe. Like most of the rest of Hampton Roads, the city that gives us our name just does not seem to appreciate working girls. On top of that, the area where the sting took place is right next to Hampton's new convention center. Now why would any self respecting working girl want to stroll near a convention center? I mean horny out of town men, usually on a company expense account, numerous hotels where they can be taken.
Then Hampton in its infinite wisdom builds their convention center right next to one of their subsidized housing complexes. Well, I think P Funk might be very nicely implying there are way too many inconsistencies in your report. Out on shell to day around 1030 saw a older WSW with a hard looking face about 45-50 was not interested so kept going. A little bit later I roll back through and I see 3 marked LE cars, and one unmarked LE car, looked like they had some guy pulled over and one block further was the same WSW waving at me as I drive by. Shell Rd runs between and parallel to Pembroke and Victoria and intersects with La Salle. Other than that, it is really rather difficult to tell how to get there. Depends really on where you are coming from. Pembroke changes to 39th street in Newport News.
A few things to keep in mind.
1. Get a map in case you get lost, which is easy to do around here.
2. Don't post the same message in less than two minutes because you didn't get an instantaneous reply. There are two reasons for this. First, as a 'regular' member, your post is delayed until Jackson (the board moderator/owner) reads and approves it. That is his policy, so don't complain about it. He does this to stop serial spammers and keep banned members from inventing new names to come back and start over. Secondly, even as a 'senior' member, people don't monitor the board 24/7 just to answer a question. Unless someone is independently wealthy, we work. Even if one is independently wealthy, they may be out mongering and can't respond.
3. As you do find your way around, contribute. Older persons on the boards tend to be wary of newbies. We know that LE reads the boards and in some areas has tried to entrap mongers by acting like new mongers and asking questions and such. So until you earn your wings with some good info and not just questions, you'll not necessarily be trusted or respected. Keep in mind that mongering in Virginia is against the law.
4. Until you've met the requirements in 3, don't PM folks asking for detailed info. Most more senior members won't respond for the same reason I've given. LE has used PM's to gather info on the girls and busted them.
This is a community of sharing, but it is also one of minor paranoia. We'll post info, so RTFF (click on the abbreviations line on the forum menu), which it seems you've already done to some degree. Be somewhat specific about approximate time of day and location (Jefferson runs over 20 miles so a cross street helps), but don't post full names, addresses, or phone numbers (phone numbers will be blocked by Jackson as a violation of board rules anyway).
All in all, though, welcome to the board. If you're new to mongering, read both the forum rules and the 22 rules for mongering on the home page. The latter provides good advice whether you post again or not.

Took my first drive through P'town on Sunday. Got there right at dusk, so I may have been a little early. I was riding down High St. when I spotted what I thought might be a WSW headed to a store. She stopped at the store and sat outside, so I figured she was waiting on the next opportunity.

I think there is more than sufficient info (Hampton and NN) for a new guy to read for 30-60 min and look at a map and find the areas even if he is from out of town. You may have been a SR several times under different names but as you say “partnership of the game”. Partnership implies that all partners bring something to the partnership, if someone can’t spend a little time to read and gain credibility what do they bring?
Not sure what happened with you and SL but your post out of the blue did not help you, I understand needing help in a strange area but how can you ask anyone for more info then is posted here if you do not have more then 1-2 posts? To me SR status just means my info gets out faster and when I get a request for info I see what they have posted SR or not, so if you’re not supplying good info then you should not expect info, it’s that partnership thing.

I try to temper my posts to new posters with a mix of information and advice on how to not get slammed too hard.
I agree with what VAJimbo posted just below this one.
Regardless of how long you have been hitting the streets, it is the post count that we always look at first, followed by the content of the post.
With two, it is relatively easy to search back and see what you've posted in the past. About as easy as reading all the action in Hampton. :D I did like the info you provided in your other post. Informative and well written.
As your other post was in the NOVA area and you're concerned about newbie status. I'd recommend you do a search in the NOVA and DC forums for Trashman. He passed away a couple of years ago so you won't find anything recent from him. But he makes me seem like a newborn kitten. But once you proved yourself, he was a wealth of help and info.
Do keep one thing in mind when mongering in the Hampton Roads/Tidewater area. It's about as difficult finding P4P here as it is to find a working girl on Route 1. The girls are few and far between and gone in the blink of an eye.

You know if you had read the ENTIRE post you would have noticed that I did tell the guy where the streets were. But if you are new to the area, that may not be of much help. So simple solution, get a map to help learn the area. I spent 20 years in the military and moved routinely. First thing I always did was get a local map so I could find my way back home.
As you say you know the area, you also know that roads here run in all kinds of direction, some evening meandering so they go north, south, east and west. They tend to change names (J. Clyde Morris becomes Geo. Washington Highway at the city limits).
My comment to get a map wasn't being rude or unhelpful in that respect, I was being practical.
And seeking help will not get you automatically turned away, it is what you are asking for and how you ask for the help. Most senior mongers are not going to give up phone numbers and such to an unknown. Very few of all posters are going to answer a question that was posted two posts below, it's obvious they haven't RTFF.
So if you were to ask me where Jefferson Ave. is, I'd probably be a bit snide in my response. If you ask me something specific, like which BK on Jefferson we're talking about, that I'd answer.

I was polite, but you're not getting the info you want from me. This is an EXCHANGE of information. We've all been new at one time or another and paid our dues. A new area or contact info will quickly become useless or a sting if it's put out for dissemination to the entire planet.

Well I decided to grace the Hpt Rds with my presence last weekend. At first, I was determined not to waste my gas hunting for poontang, but I felt that loving feeling. Completed a circuit of Norfolk and N.N.(Hey...I was bored, sober, and horny). Made it back to Hpt from N.N. and strolled down Shell Rd around 1:30AM as I headed in for the night when I ran across a BSW twisting her way down the road. D.Honestly I think you're better off trying to find top notch providers through good old fashioned trial and error rather than dying of old age waiting to become a SM and banking on somebody else's opinion of whether or not you're "worthy" enough to share info with.
Some of us don't have quite the time or the resources necessary needed to appease some of the SM "gods" around here that they might bestow valuable info or their UTRS some of us mere mortals. The really good ones are out there but don't post quite as often as some on BP or CL but they are out there and I've only recently gotten to the point where I have a tiny stable of really good and reliable providers.
That's the method that's worked for me thus far but hey that's just my two cents.

What Rich said is a proven strategy for some quality BP providers. The fact that they don't post often is usually a good sign that they don't need to. These types prefer "regulars" over chancing it on new guys. As far as sharing info we usually develop friendships with proven members of similar tastes and we share info on DM backchannels. This is for various reasons. Its not so much to play keep away as much as it is to protect the girls and our game from guys who burn bridges and our reputations. Its nothing against new guys, just a year ago I too was new. Its about building trust and credibility. Even though I can only play once or twice a month I contribute what I can when I can. Not every one here can be like Salty, BG, or the Villain and they don't expect us to be. Just don't be a free loader, take one for the team every now, be a gentlemen and develop some direct communication and you'll be set.
To add to what rich said. If you find a great local BP provider ask her if she has any friends. They often have other girls they work with that they can introduce you too. Be safe though and use common sense. I tend to stay away from girls visiting that are unreviewed. They have little incentive to treat you well and are often scams.
