Finally got to see Ally this afternoon. Her performance was spot on as it's always been. Even after a year+ she remembered exactly what I liked. But for me, the important thing is that people who like to use that term feel more comfortable writing that way and I believe that they should be left alone. I see the criticism as people trying to modify other people's behavior to suit their own taste and that is just not right. If you ask too many questions the provider may hang up on you. In my opinion those are the smart ones. They have the same concerns that you do about a person not being who they say they are. Unfortunately sometimes getting short changed is part of this hobby of ours. Besides, a provider can tell you anything you want to hear. An unscrupulous one will agree to anything to get your money. What are you going to do if she doesn't follow thru? You might have to fight her and her pimp to get your money back.
It's still exciting to see an unknown provider occasionally even though the odds are not great that it will turn out the way I would like. I do my research to try to stay away from obvious trouble, but if a provider is unknown there is no way to know what you will really get.

Everyone has their own style and what works for them and makes them feel comfortable. If I see a SW I stop and give her my phone number and ask her to call. I keep my doors locked and do not let her in my car. It gives me a chance to check her out ahead of time and make sure she is not a tranny or beastly looking. I'm not convinced this would give you much protection and could open you up to bigger issues.
First, in my experience less than 50% of SW have a working phone. Second, do you want a SW you aren't interested in even having your number? Some of them will call multiple times a day looking for work or whatever. If it is a sting you are just setting yourself up by negotiating on the phone. Have you had this technique actually work out for you? In my opinion, the riskiest part of the SW game is the scoop. You are doubling your scoops with a first stop to exchange numbers and a second for pickup with you potentially hovering around in a high risk area waiting while you both talk on the phone. The whole scenario will appear highly suspicious if uncle LEO is cruising around. But there are free government phones available to low income people so when they say they don't have a phone, is it because they really don't or is it just because of other reasons.
Is one way better than another? I think this is all about sharing opinions as to what is best for us based on our preferences and past personal experience. The 22 rules that Lonlyguy so kindly pointed out are nice and good guides but it still comes down to doing what is best and safe in each given situation.

Thanks.I tried subscribing to one of those services for a while. They always tease you saying that information is available but if you buy it the information is seldom accurate. For instance, when I tried to look up my own number it said I was 86 years old and that I live in some small town upstate.
I have had reasonably good luck using a combination of safecaller.com and Facebook all without paying any subscription fees.

What's you price uses a paid for token system to unlock emails. Communication is a mix of text and emails, no phone calls. For me at least, more often than not, the girls never showed up. Scam? Who knows, but do the math, this didn't work out.

I've read that the phantom thing is common on dating sites. I wonder if that's one of those "work from home" schemes. I had several no shows on WYP. Not sure if they were phantoms or just stupid and got cold feet. Poor comms with all of them, same as with the regular working girls. If you read the site's self-description, you might imagine it's for billionaires who want a gorgeous young thing to take to the opera on their arm, then squire them home in their limo, kiss them chastely on the lips, and give them a few thousand dollars. There are many, many women on the site who believe this too. But there aren't many billionaires in this world and those that exist aren't looking for Jenny from Wisconsin on a website.
In fact, this is for women who want presents or cash in exchange for dates, usually dates with a sexual component. This is much, much more difficult than searching for a traditional escort. The payoff, however, can be huge.
Here's what you'll need if you want to play: First, $70 to sign up for a month on the site; for maximum safety use a prepaid credit card from the drugstore. Second, a budget for lunches, dinners, drinks. Third, a disposable phone with minutes, and a free email address. Finally, lots and lots of time.
When you sign up, you'll need a picture for your profile. Google Reverse Image Search is your friend here. Take a real picture of yourself, reverse search it for similar images, find someone who looks something like you, and use their image. Don't use your Facebook profile picture. Don't use a picture with other people you know in it.
You can make up whatever details you like, but my advice is to make your profile fit whatever believable, larger story you want to tell. If you put down that you're single, then you would be available nights, right? Unless, of course, you work nights or have some other reason to be busy. Give it some thought before you post your profile. You can't put a phone number or email address on your profile, and this is enforced. They also encourage you not to use your real name.
Then, messages will start to come in. The search function is easy and intuitive. Beware, however, that every time you look at a member's profile, they will be notified. If you "favorite" someone, they will be notified. When you read a message someone sends you, they can tell by a little icon on the messaging page. The default is that you can see when someone joined and when they were last active, although this can be turned off. In general, this is not like facebook with the ability to silently stalk anyone you like. Rather, your every move will be seen by the sugar babies, and they will come out of the woodwork if they see you looking at their profile.
Then the dance begins. My advice is to be respectful, and polite, but early on make clear you're looking for private time and intimacy. Those code words seem to work wonders. You will hear from some of the women, "private time is ok, but of course no sexual contact, this is just companionship. " If you seek conversation only, go right ahead. It's possible some of them are just saying that as a cover, but I think the majority of these women actually buy into the facade of the site, and no means no.
From other women, you will hear a middle ground: "I'the like to be comfortable with you in public before I spend time with you alone. " These might be worth pursuing, but beware. One woman wanted $500 to have what would clearly be only drinks and conversation with her. I declined, so she told me I was mistakenly looking for an escort on a Sugar Baby site and cut me off. OK.
Finally there is the easiest category, women who are comfortable with the suggestion of "private time. " One woman bluntly told me she didn't have a place we could go to be alone, but I would have to provide one. Pretty clear sign.
Still, it's not necessarily straightforward. One very sexy young woman made clear she understood the deal. We met for dinner, got along, but she needed to leave, so we agreed to meet again. She went so far as to message me with a price: $300 "per adventure" paid in advance. OK, I thought, the masks are off. On the appointed day she asked where we were meeting. Here's the strategy I landed on. Meet a lady for a late lunch or dinner at a pleasant restaurant that happens to be inside, attached to, or near a hotel. Know in advance that the hotel has vacancies. If all goes well, linger, then say something like "I'm having such a good time, I wish I could keep spending time with you. What are your plans?" If she says she has none, try to seal the deal. "We could go have a drink, or maybe talk about going somewhere private. " That's a carefully worded sentence, and you have an out. You only said you want to talk about it. But if she's ok with it, then suggest "I could see if they have a room available. ".
My best success so far: a young, intelligent, extremely hot woman in her twenties. After a nice lunch and a drink, she's agreeable to the idea of getting a room. I gave her a little money and sent her for more drinks, mostly so she doesn't hear my real name at the front desk. We went upstairs and talked more in the room over our drinks, building the anticipation. Finally we attacked one another. She tore my clothes off and sucked and fucked me like she meant it. Condom on my insistence not hers. A specific amount was not discussed in advance. We did it four times over three hours, and it was fun, relaxed, and so damn hot, the real deal with a smoking young amateur. I left $400 on her purse. A few other suggestions: Your membership is monthly and expensive, so collecting email addresses and phone numbers by private message is to your advantage. As your membership runs out, make sure to save the info on members you might want to pursue. Make that month count, put in the time, and you'll have one or two fantastic regulars. Keep your real name out of it. Use that disposable phone and free email address exclusively.
I find the women, for the most part, give up their real information easily. I can find the actual names, phone numbers, facebook pages, etc. Of most of the women that I met in person and many I only messaged with on the site. Don't make the same mistake, especially when so many of the women can be touchy about the nature of what the site is really all about. One of the women you're "courting" could turn on you, upset that you're "implying something," and suddenly you're in trouble if she knows your identity.
I make no promise using these sites will help you find "better" or "cheaper" than backpage or eros-guide or anything like that. In my experience you can find some women who are full-time pros, the same women from backpage, at roughly the same prices. You probably won't find too many $40 car-date girls if that's your thing, but you never know. It's the others, the amateurs who are morally ok with this but not quite at the pro level, that get me going. I think there's all sorts on Sugar Baby sites, from perfect women who expect to be paid to talk to you to barely-literate strippers. It's about the thrill of the chase, and the promise of a relationship that's slightly more interesting, usually with a woman who genuinely wants to please you, because it's in her own long-term interest. That makes each individual session better, because if you do it right, you're with a woman who wants to keep a good thing going, not a woman who's already collected your money and is watching the clock tick.

(Assuming they are aware of & read this forum which may be unlikely?) If they are bad actors then they probably have dozens of "incidents" per month so by then yours would be long forgotten ancient history.
