I heard there were a lot of strip clubs on Interstate 81 in WV at one of those two exits. I think it was exit 12. A drive through at dusk showed a few locations, but they were all closed. Maybe they just hadn't opened up yet.
Is there any SW activity around there?

There are alot of strip clubs in the area of Martinsburg, and 6 yrs ago there was a good deal of SW activity, but alas, no longer. I've never been to any of the strip clubs. but there are many good archived reports.
Hagerstown used to have a good deal of SWs, But I don't know about now.

I did a dumb thing last saturday, I went to Bambi Lea's in Berkley Springs wva. I was met by a rather portly lady about 30 -35 years old. she has a cute face but a hefty body. I stopped for a late lunch (1 pm or so) at Diva's Gentleman's Club. It is a strip club located next to a bar called the Brass Ring (I believe -- it was a few weeks ago) on Rte 9 (7?) westbound coming into Martinsburg from the Dulles area.
The good part is it was completely nude AND served alcohol. The bad part is I saw some really OLD shit on the stage.

First Stop: Paradise City - The only one of the four where you had to bring your own alcohol. Ten dollar cover and they scan you for weapons with a wand like at the airport. The place was mainly a wide-open area with a concrete floor and a dance pit in the middle. Downscale, spartan surroundings and way too lit. Ten dollar lap dances. No Touching! The bouncer seemed intent on watching the door and the crowd, and at one point went over and scolded a dancer who must have been giving an overzealous lap dance. There was also a trio of very large female customers sitting at a corner table. Maybe ten strippers; almost every one was a porker; I only saw one girl who made me look twice. Mostly the girls seemed to keep their distance and not be so much in your face, which to me kind of sucks, as I want a girl to come and talk to me and rub up against me, even though I know it will cost me. The music was one AC-DC song after another. All-white crowd; the overall vibe was "redneck joint". I didn't see any potential for pulling takeout. Not recommended.
Second Stop: Foxy Ladies - The smallest of four places I visited - $5 cover - A complete bar with liquor, beer, and even some snacks available behind the counter. Small and dark (better) inside, but kinda run-down in an old basement kinda way. Crowd was downscale ethnic mix with whites, blacks, and hispanics. Had an entourage of hangers-on sitting around inside, including an older biker dude in Warlocks colors. About half a dozen strippers, all of them hot. Also a young butchy lesbian bouncing around inside like a grasshopper who seemed to be a regular; she glared at me once. Competition? DJ; music was a good mix of dance, rock, and hip-hop, which I generally find preferable to all hard rock in a strip joint. Girls were generally friendly yet mostly kept their distance, although I had one come up and sit next to me for a little bit and talk. Beer $3, mixed drinks $6. (A very cute waitress who was dressed very conservatively - covered from ankle to neck - came around with $2 shooters.) No Touching! Table Dances $5, Private Dances $30, something else (can't remember what) was $50, and Champagne Room Dances (six songs and a bottle of Champagne in a room behind a beaded doorway) were $100. Overall the friendliest place of the four, and has some takeout potential by virtue of being a bit downscale, with dancers who are more likely to be tempted.
Third Stop: Underground - This place is actually the basement level of Vixens, but is a separate club (entrance in back) - $10 cover - Very nice inside, stylish in a Trump Taj Mahal kinda way, generally my kinda place, decorated just like a strip joint oughta be - a lot of neon and blacklight, overall light level about medium. About eight strippers, most (not all) of them were hot; a couple of the hottest ones seemed to be doing a brisk business in lap dances. One female customer sitting next to me got a lap dance while I was there. No Touching! $30 lap dances. Private dances were available for more, but I didn't get the actual price, maybe $50? Music was dance/hip-hop/rock mix. The crowd was above average, good middle-class folks. The parking lot (shared with Vixens) was very crowded. Overall this is a pretty upscale joint, the kind of place I would bring a date to, as it is sleazy (it is a strip joint) yet stylish in an Atlantic City sort of way. You might be able to pull some takeout here, if you come on a slow night and really work it.
Fourth Stop: Vixens - upstairs from Underground - $10 cover - This place was large, with many tables and comfortable chairs. Way too lit however. Hot bartender who looked like she had been working her ass off, and had made some money slinging drinks in the process. Based on how full the parking lot was, this place must really get packed on certain weekend nights, although I was there from 2:30 to 3am, so the crowd had thinned out. Fairly decent middle-class crowd, pretty good group for a strip club. Probably the same 30/50/100 price structure for dances. This is the chain restaurant of stripper bars. If you are a stripper, this is the place you want to work at, as it seemed to offer the best money-making potential. If you are a customer hoping for a little something on the side, forget it, it is too "corporate" to realistically think you could pull any takeout here. One little touch I did like - when they called the last dance, I noticed a waitress station herself by the exit door with a bunch of pizza slices on paper plates. A minute later I bought one for a dollar on the way out the door.
Summary - Paradise City is too redneck, too lit, and the bouncer watches everybody like a hawk. Avoid. Vixens is too large and corporate, and they are probably making too much money to be tempted by extracurricular activities. Avoid. Foxy Ladies is a little "run-down basement" and a little too small, but has some takeout potential, if you can get a girl off to one side and make a proposition on a slow night. Underground was the nicest club in my opinion - not too large, not too small, just right. Very nice inside, sexy even. I would like to try it again on a slow night. It is a comfortable environment to stalk some poon, but it will still be work. Bottom Line? Underground is the place to take your buddies or a date, or challenge yourself for a pickup. Foxy Ladies is the joint you hit when you are slumming for a hookup.
These are just my impressions and opinions. On any given evening, anything or nothing is possible.

This chick is about half an hour outside of Mburg, very reasonable rates advertised on craigslist, pictures are very accurate, her demeanor was somewhat reminescent of Tracy (very submissive). I am really taken back as to how tame the strip clubs in WVA are compared to some other states. I assume the other WVA clubs are like DIVAS - look but don't touch. It's been a few months since I have been able to appreciate the talent and the last time I went I was very dissappointed, which is one reason I haven't been back. I have been wondering since the times are tight right now if things have loosened up any.
Many of the clubs are located on State roads so that puts them under the jurisdiction of the State Police, who conduct undercover survellance and then raids if they see anything they don't like happening. Back in the 80's and 90's you COULD get away with a lot, but they've cracked down here in the last several years, so everybody's taken it down a few notches. At least ours are totally nude, I hear a lot of states aren't.

While our clubs in Baltimore are more open, LE presence is mostly cyclic revolving around the political election time particularly for governor and mayor, Those running for office want to appear tough on crime and pressure LE to crack down on crime so LE puts on a full court press RE prostitution and drugs. They use undercovers to police the strip bars to catch any selling booze to minors and those engaging in prostitution or dealing drugs. They get the liquor board to suspend their license and impose heavy fines. LE flood the strolls primarily after drug dealers. SW's who get caught in stings are pressured to tunn on their drug dealers for a lesser sentence. LE can get some impressive arrest numbers in a short time,pleasing the politicos. It's all a big game. Plus LE is kept busy chasing down drug dealers and murders, I think we lead the country with our murder rate.
I don't profess to be an oracle of information when it comes to strip clubs. What information I have is mostly dated, I really don't frequent them much, I hate being hassled by the girls to buy them drinks and all. Plus you can go through a wad of money in a very short time, I AM TOO CHEAP. I much prefer to spend my money on hunting and fishing. Misdirected priorities? BBB

They go, they drop a lot of $$, get very little in return, save for hassling by the chicks for drinks, and the one that fucking PISSES me off, the hassling for $$ for the jukebox. It's a fucking strip joint. Music should be fucking gratis.
I wouldn't mind half as much, if the strippers down here were something above skanktastic. Most (i'd say 80-90%) are ones I wouldn't spend a dime on.

I stopped by the new club in Martinsburg named Taboo. It is on RT9 between Legs Club and the county jail.
It was an early friday afternoon so there were only 4 dancers and 3-4 customers. But the club being new is vary clean and has an upscale feeling about it. I dont remember the name of the club that was in this location but it is greatly improved! The ladies there were friendly, three were smoking hot and the 4th girl (I didnot get to talk to) was a little round. It would probly be a jumpin place in the evening hours.
No cover charge before 4:00 pm (they open at noon) beer was $3.50. There are numerious champaine and private rooms around the place. I didn't ask about the tariff for those services. This could give Legs a run for the money. Check it out!

Went to Charles Town Friday evening with a friend to watch a few horse races. Ended up when we left stopped by Taboo Gentlemens club. They were having amateur night. Still, nothing is assured about her recovery. She has cycled through rehab many times before and is struggling to resist a trade that she says is as addictive as heroin and cocaine.
"Even though I'm clean and sober, I'm still addicted to prostitution, to getting clients," she said last spring after a previous stay at a treatment center. "Sometimes I think there's something wrong with my brain because I can't turn it off."

Raised amid alcohol and drug addiction, Battle recalls a childhood cut short by abuse. She soon started using heroin and gave birth to the first of seven children when she was 12. None live with her today.
For years, Battle worked a stretch of West Baltimore Street and was often homeless. Sometimes, she stayed with a former customer whom she describes as one of the few men she knew who didn't expect sex in return.
It's been a dangerous life. Last spring, she staggered up the front stoop of YANA, a drop-in center on West Pratt Street, and said she had been beaten and robbed each of the previous two nights. One man threw her against a wall and stole $15.
Other attackers have been after sex, not money. Most have pretended to be "johns" but then forced themselves on her without using a condom.
"That's how I caught HIV," she said. "I'm not even sure who I caught it from." Nor is she certain that she caught the virus from an attacker. Battle said she had a "boyfriend" who paid her for sex, at some point revealing to her that he was infected.
Last year, he died of AIDS.
Battle learned she was HIV positive four years ago after giving a blood sample at a city Health Department van that offered shopping vouchers as an incentive to get tested.
Still, she continued a lifestyle centered on selling sex for drugs. An entry in her medical records at Healthcare for the Homeless described her as "living in an abandoned building, no income, no benefits," according to medical records she agreed to share. It also said "prostituting to support drug use and for housing. Intermittent condoms."
Last March, she entered a treatment program in Park Heights. There, she endured vomiting and convulsions as the last traces of heroin left her system. She spent hours in group therapy and rose at 4 a.m. to begin chores.
Emerging from the live-in program with a glow that erased years from her face, Battle stayed clean for several days - walking past dealers who practically forced heroin samples into her hands.
A short time later, however, she succumbed not only to drug use but prostitution. "It's the contact with men, the feeling," she said. "Some are strangers. Some are men I know."
By late spring, her face had taken on a look of desperation, the product of nights spent in abandoned buildings and days begun with shots of heroin.
She found a spot in another program, Baltimore Behavioral Health, declaring that this time she was doing it for herself, not for others who had harped on her to stop using.
There, she again rode out the sickness of heroin withdrawal and graduated to a transitional house.
Battle said she's finally considering entering treatment for HIV, a move she has resisted in the past. She wonders whether the virus explains her propensity to catch colds that lead to pneumonia or the fatigue and body aches that she can't seem to shake.
Her halfway house is located in the heart of the Pennsylvania Avenue drug corridor, so staying clean will be a challenge. It won't be the only one.
You really don't think about SWs being adicted to sex only to drugs - who use sex to buy them. Here's an interesting story about both.
Drug treatment experts say that addicts often return to prostitution before they relapse into drug use. For many women, it's the only way they've ever made a living.
There's an emotional pull as well.
"If you're a female who's been raped and raped so many times, your self-esteem is low and you've learned to be submissive to others," said Sharon Kearson, a group therapy leader at Baltimore Behavioral Health.
"Many want acceptance. And for many, it's the only way they've gotten acceptance all their lives."
