I recently posted a review regarding a fungal infection contracted during a visit to an Ellicott City spa.
The point of the post was to warn other mongers of the risks (albeit low) of the community table shower, a risk faced at any spa, not only the one mentioned in the post.
It's been brought to my attention that a well-respected member of that spa's staff may feel that the post implied she was the cause of the aforementioned issue. Given the nature of the problem, I don't believe this was the case.
This masseuse has developed a loyal following over the years as a reputable professional. While I'd hoped to warn other mongers to be cautious in their spa activities, there was no intent to harm the masseuse's reputation, and there was no implication that she was the cause of any infectious transmission.
I've asked that the older post be removed, and have not repeated her name or the spa's so as not to continue the misundestanding for future searches of the forum.
My apologies for any misunderstanding which may have occurred.

visited Kyoto and I am happy to say that all is well there. They took reasonable care and followed accepted guidelines for health that I could see.
Sunny is there but in a different role (consulting). She is not giving massages but will greet familiar former customers. My caregiver was Candy who gave a good TS and massage. The full event was in typical Kyoto fashion and as regulars of old know it is worth a repeat.

This was from a recent sting at the TA Baltimore South truckstop in Jessup:
Vice and Narcotics Operation Nets 12 Arrests
The Howard County Police Department conducted a vice and narcotics operation Dec. 6-8 that resulted
in 12 arrests. The operation was launched after police received complaints from citizens about drug
dealing and prostitution in Jessup.
The department used undercover detectives and surveillance teams to make the arrests over the three
night sweep. Eleven suspects were charged with selling drugs and one was charged with soliciting an
undercover police officer for sex.
Police recovered various amounts of crack cocaine, PCP, marijuana and one handgun. They also
seized two vehicles and recovered $6,800 that was being used for the sale and distribution of illegal
drugs.
Detectives say that this operation was designed to alert criminals that illegal activities will not be
tolerated in Howard County. More operations of this type will be conducted in the future.
The operation was conducted by members of the Howard County Vice and Narcotics Division and the
Southern District Special Assignment Squad.

One of the vehicles seized was a tractor trailer, whose operator was the one arrested for soliciting an undercover cop.
I had to change a tire on a back street near the truckstop a few weeks ago. within a minute, a LEO showed up and ran my ID through the system. Drug buyers, drug sellers, pimps, SW's, and Johns tend to hang on the side streets as well as the lot itself. LE has been monitoring the area pretty much non-stop for the past couple of months, and the SW activity has drastically slowed. It is one of the busiest truckstops on the east coast, and usually boasts fairly large numbers of SW nightly.
Part of the reason for the crackdown is the SW's who come from DC, some of who aren't very subtle about trying to get dates. Some guys have literally been yanked by the arm by a few who will just blatantly say "let me suck your dick", and if they refuse, their pimps will vandalize their rigs. Sometimes, the SW's will go knocking on truck doors; waking drivers, and whoever may be in the rigs. If you are on 4 wheels, stay off the truck lot. LE will stop you and you'd better have a good explanation as to why you're there.
On a positive note: There was one SW walking Rt. 1 by the Super 8 and the Cedar(? something- the one by Frank's diner) Motels. She wasn't bad looking, and about early 20's.

Don't know if this is true or not. I haven't seen anything posted about it on the HC police website. Don't know why you'd be stopped outside of the MP unless they had recorded evidence.
For what? 21 Therapy (old Rainbow) has limited services, unless something changed right away. And, the Taco Bell is out front of the strip mall. Anyone else have a report? Rainbow had some harrassment in the past from competitor's owner.

When you get here, do yourself a favor and pick up a Washington Post. You will have much better luck in a DC amp than those in the Laurel/ Jessup area. If all you want is a rub and tug or BJ you'll pay out the ass for, stick around there.
Try BT in PG county for a great massage and higher probability of getting a BJ. Check the PG board for info, it's only about 20 mins away from Jessup area.
Sure, DC is a bit of a hike from Columbia, but the quality of ladies is far above anything you'll get in HoCo and FS is always guaranteed. Well worth it in my book.

Sounds like bunkum to old Lex. You can't be arrested just for exiting a place, even if LE knew it was a brothel. I mean you could have wondered into the place by mistake, gotten into a long conversation with an employee, and then just left. They would have no evidence that you had done anything untowardly unless you admitted it. These places are (for the most part) licensed businesses. For all anyone knows, you were in there getting what the place is licensed to give.
If they raided it and found you in a state of undress, that would be a different matter entirely.

After reading many bad reports and a few Pm's to stay away from 21 massage.... I still went. Hey, it was a mile from my hotel and I'm very hard headed.
Anyway, 30 minute decent massage followed by a HJ. Not bad really. $50 + $40. Girl was named Kay, mid 30's and kinda cute. I'd repeat if I was back in the area.

She started negotiations at 2 jacks but was able to agree on a jack and a hamilton for an oral exam. after the deed was done she wanted to make a phone call and then asked me to drop her off in Storch Woods in Savage. She said she hangs out near the Cedar about 3 nights a week

Seems that the HC mongering has gone the way of the Groundhog....seen its shadow and scurried out of site. Nothing seems to be new here, took my mongering ways down to DC and out of state for a while.
Kyoto Spa has slipped in my satisfaction meter since the change of ownership. My old favorite, Sunny has come back from retirement, but not as a performer.
Hana Spa, is it still there? Haven't heard anything from this one-time favorite.
21, formerly Rainbow Spa, probably the busiest as Rainbow is a shadow of its ole self.
apparently, new laws, prices, and attitude destroyed a once hot area in the metro area. At least it wasn't totally wiped out as Montgomery County.
Okay, so I don't post often - nor do I visit AMP's often - but last Friday night I had a dream that I went down to Laurel to visit a place mentioned here. After calling to see if they were busy or not (it was about 8:00 pm) I decided to make the trip. It turns out that despite their claims the place was hopping, although I didn't have to wait very long for anyone to visit. My provider was Sarah - pretty thick in AMP-girl standards, but I don't like sticks anyway. Nice face, friendly, nice rack. The table shower was a bit rushed, but I was cleaned all over. I had a brief stop in the sauna ( and I do mean brief) on the way back to the room where she proceeded with an uninspired massage. After a somewhat lackluster "soft" massage, she decided I needed to "tip her now" and she would take care of me. I was wondering if anyone knows what happened to Laura at Kyoto? I saw her last time about a year and a half ago. She was not your typical asian girl. She was about 5'9" shoulder length streaked hair and built like Xena the Warrior princess. Very busty and a very nicely toned body. Also she had a few tatoos.
A sun tatoo around her navel and another on her lower back.
She was a very nice girl and a lot of fun once she got to know you. I was wondering if maybe she has shown up somewhere else. I would love to see her again.

More than 2 dozen drug and prostitution suspects have been charged in an extensive undercover sting operation in Howard County.
Officers posing as prostitutes or potential customers were used in the month-long operation following complaints from people living in the Laurel, Jessup, and Elkridge areas.
Detectives also used the internet by visiting web sites where sexual favors were offered...calling the numbers posted and then made arrests when suspects offered sex for money at the meeting places.
The Howard County Police Department issued this press release:
Vice Operation Results in Prostitution and Drug Arrests
25 Suspects Charged in Month-Long Effort
Howard County police are announcing the results of a month-long operation that resulted in numerous arrests for prostitution and drugs. The vice and narcotics division used undercover officers to identify suspects working as prostitutes, soliciting prostitutes or in possession of drugs in the areas of north Laurel, Jessup and Elkridge. The department’s goal was to reduce these types of illegal activities in targeted areas.
Detectives launched the operation June 7 after receiving numerous complaints from residents and businesses about prostitution and drug use in specific areas of the county. During the effort, undercover officers posed as prostitutes or as potential customers for prostitutes.
Female officers in plain clothes stood in areas targeted by citizen complaints to determine whether they would be approached and offered money for sex. Suspects who approached the female officers and made such offers were arrested for solicitation of prostitution.
Male officers in plain clothes drove in unmarked cars to areas targeted by citizen complaints to determine whether they would be approached by suspects offering sex for money. Suspects who approached the male officers and made such offers were arrested for prostitution.
Detectives also used the Internet to identify suspects working as prostitutes in Howard County. Investigators visited Web sites where women offered sexual services for money and identified Howard County as their location. Detectives spoke with the women by phone and arranged to meet. Suspects who arrived at the meeting place and offered sex for money were arrested and charged with prostitution. Police cannot identify the Web sites used by detectives at this time.
During the course of the investigation, undercover officers also witnessed suspects in possession of illegal drugs, such as crack cocaine and marijuana. Those suspects were arrested and charged with drug offenses.

I see that you are using Larry56 as your handle and not your real name, nor do I see your address posted anywhere, and that is as it should be. Why not afford fellow mongers and mongerettes that same luxury and edit out their real names and real addresses. It seems to me that LE and news outlets use this tactic of posting personal info as a way to out, humiliate and deter individuals from behavior that is between two consenting adults and obstensibly harms no one. I hope that you can see that by reproducing in full an article that exposes fellow mongers you simple become an unwitting agent of LE and news outlets and perpetuate their cause.
I just had a major battle between the big head and the little head.
Driving down Rt1 in HoCo Laurel area and there is a really nice sw walking in the area of Brewers Ct real nice a$$ and chest one of the nicest I've seen real clean looking.
The big head remembered the LE stings mentioned in the last couple posts in the Brewers Ct area and the little head didn't seem to care, after driving around the block a few times she made her way on to Whisky Bottom Rd and a monger picked her up. That settled the battle and I thank you who ever you are I know you had a good time with her if she wasn't LE.
Recently I made a nice daytime excursion to Kyoto. Can't remember the therapist name, but not bad looking, maybe late 30's/ early 40's, huge natural rack and nice rear. Little dress for easier access to her biddies.
TS and massage were ok. Nice soft massage to get me to attention. I asked for a special kiss, but she politley declined. She did oblige me with a prostate massage during the hj and also presented her very large C's, maybe even D's to play with.

Talk about splitting the proverbial **** hair. Fred, the reason we repost articles here is that as no one monger can possibly hope to read them all, this forum is the place we have to post them as we find them, providing us all with as much information as is possible - an informed monger is a smarter, safer monger: knowledge is power my friend.
It leaves a bad taste in my mouth to repost LE tactics - I despise them as much as, if not more than most and I have never been shy about it either.
The difference between the guidelines and reposting an article is that information such as names and addresses etc. that are already public domain are not going to garner any more unwelcome attention because of a repost here - unless you want to think that the forum is more capable of dissemination of inoformation than the general media is already.
Private, non public information, as in Blonde Heathers new address on Furrow and her phone number - that type of thing is what the guidelines are referring to - I can appreciate you may be a purist as far as the posting of relevant info, but the general rule of thumb in place here is that public is public, private is for pm's - and when calling out a particularly well respected senior member with more than 450 posts, especially as an up and coming regular member, it may not hurt to be a little less "law and order" in asking if there is a guidelines infringement.

I got a chance first hand to witness the wrath of the mighty HCPD last night. My BL wanted something to drink and we stopped by Three Nines. There was a WSW hanging out in front of the Evergreens motel who was giving everyone who came by the look (she really played the part well) things just did not appear right so I told my BL lets just watch. We rode around for a few minutes and came back to pick up our food and she was in the side lot of the bar talking to some guy. The next thing you know he starts to walk around with her to go to one of the rooms at the hotel and ULE in a red Chevy pick up swooped on him. It was time to go after that. there have been SW in that area for years and I can remember back when the Starting Gate was the shit. Be careful and by all means if you don't know her or have not seen her around just stay away.

Was visiting from out of state a few weeks ago and staying between DC and B'more, so decided to try Lily, which was the closest AMP to me I could see from research.
It was a Thursday night, around 10, and it was very busy. I got a gal who was at least late 30s named Sue-yune-jee or something like that. It turned out there were many notable things about this experience, most of them not great. Although I may not be the most smart, I have as much AMP experience as anyone, but ...
- She was one of the most unfriendly therapists I've ever had. Not mean, but just no smiles, no joy (even if false) expressed.

Lots of initial posters asking for specifics for AMP services. HoCo offers limited, read legal, massage services. We have invested hundreds, or thousands, of dollars in research and reported on our varying degrees of satisfaction and expectation. So you are a little pushy in asking for more data with no investment. Go, check them out and post some activity reports and you might get additional info. Otherwise, RTFF and heed it.

Sorry we spelled your name wrong last time. You are unlikely to get two hours of time from most of the places discussed here. On the other hand, if you want a legitimate massage, many of those practitioners will go 1.5 hrs. Cost is normally about $100.00 and up, no extras. Look in the yellow pages under massage therapy or body work.
If you read the AMP sub-fora here, you'll be dealing with the HE style of massage therapy. Since the HE can be achieved in well under an hour, that's often when the service ends.
Don't let the folks here intimidate you. They were all FNG's before too.

I decided to return after a 2 year hiatus from HoCo amps and found some changes that are not to good. Been three times since the holidays and talked to an owner about this.
The Amp owners have gotten together to shorten the 1 hr time to 45 mins even though they advertise for an hour. When busy, they will shorten that 45 mins to 20 mins. Besides this, HoCo has been forcing them to remove TS so you have to shower yourself!!
I went to 1 place twice and they were busy so my 1 hr turned into 20 mins.. a reduction of 66%. They led me to a shower and said shower myself, meanwhile my provider went in to another customer and I had to wait about 20 mins. When my turn came up, down to business quickly and then dress up and leave for another cust after 20 mins. Kind of makes you wonder what would happen if you ask for 1/2 hr. This way, the provider makes three times the money as they expect the tip to be the same (tip=event).
This is pretty disturbing. First they raised the rates to $70/hr and $50/half hr..now they reduce the time by 25%..This translates to big bucks for the owner and provider. I, for one, do not feel bad for them when mongers get together to protest these kind of changes because as said above, they get together to squeeze as much money as they can out of us.
The only good news is that the full menu is still available to some, if not all and that the sting on Black Weds did not affect them.

Well, they want us to focus as pay-per-event. I am going to switch to half hour instead of hour as my way of protest. I complained about the extreme shorting already.

The provider gets some or all of the tip. You'll be hurting her, not the owner. The owner/mamasan gets the house fee. You could ask her for to return part of the house fee and threaten to report her to the BBB if she does not. I can't imagine that any mamasan would want any kind of negative publicity.

It was explained to me (again) that the HC amps have gotten away from measuring house $$ for time. It is now by session. Most of the reg customers accept this so there is not much chance that complaining will change it.
As for negative publicity, they monitor this site and really hate ANY publicity here. I am not sure if they care about the BBB, just sites like this for obvious reasons.

Had some time today and headed over to the spa formerly known as Rainbow in search of Kay. I simply enjoy her overly large naturals and can't seem to get enough when I am in the area.

Went to a Columbia spa a few weeks ago. Very good! I forgot the providers name but I arrived there right after opening. Only one girl there. Wear capri pants and a big shirt. Ok, mongers. So I am late but about a week ago (on Tuesday, I believe) I was busting my a$$ moving stuff until the wee hours of the night and decided I needed something to eat. I drove to ML, closed; then to 40, closed; then I tried my luck north of Jessup and found a place still serving.
Walked in and hostess told me it is late so only a half hour meal. I was fine with that as next stop would have been testing T/A. I had a little wait but then I was served with one of my favorite dessert beverages. She saw I was pretty hungry so meal was quickly served but it was only appetizers. I have had a full meal there before but not recently. But this waitress was easily the best looking I have seen in a while. Very firm everywhere. After that, I was not rushed out in the least. As I have been moving stuff all night, I was appreciative of the extra attention even though it was late. For that I tipped .4 since it was appetizers only. All in all, I definately need to see if the menu gets better.

It used to be a regular stop for me. Back when it was called the Rainbow.
I was known well and received good service. It took a while, like 6 visits before I was able to sample the 'goods'. Lily's Spa was always a distant second because of the girls. Once in the door and that was it for me.

-mGSorry it took so long to respond. The place where I went was 21. I have not been back there since, although I have found another place to go in the PG county area.
Only one thing I wish I could change with the AMP's I have been too lately.... Providers with larger breasts. 21, Lily's and long ago Oriental spa are the only ones which Had providers with Large breasts, and Candy who used to be at oriental had some major enhancements, though it was still fun to play with. I guess as I RTFF more I might be able to get a better picture of what is out there with a provider who has more than just nubs for breasts. Howard County police arrested seven men for solicitation of prostitution in North Laurel this week. Detectives used undercover officers Tuesday evening to identify suspects soliciting prostitutes on Route 1 near Brewers Ct.
Female officers in plain clothes stood in areas targeted by citizen complaints to determine whether they would be approached and offered money for sex. Suspects who approached the female officers and made such offers were arrested for solicitation of prostitution.

Given the busts on Brewers Court in Laurel, I though I'd check out the Rt. 1 scene. I made two passes: one around 7 PM and one around 10 PM. I operated under the theory that the hotspots would have to have three things: motels, sidewalks and gas stations or convenience stores. It seems like the two places that fit this bill are the intersection with 175 and the one by Montgomery Road.
Around 7:00, in front of the motel just south of Frank's Diner, there were two pug ugly BSWs. At Montgomery Road, I saw a twentysomething, blonde, calf-length Jeans, white heels. She walked down the block, crossed, walked back up, then down. I parked and approached her. Was she alright, did she need a ride? First she said yes, then said she was waiting for a friend. I'd put her at a 6 on the looks scale, so I played dumb and moved on.
Around 10:00, I saw no activity anywhere. Although I did think it was a little odd that there were still so many cars in the roller rink parking lot, about 20 minutes after it closed.

As there is a no category for HoCo. I figured I would add a report here as it is the closest thing to HoCo. One of my favorite places to go is Jade in Ellicott City. As this is a later report I am not sure if this lass is still there or if she has rotated to another establishment.

The tag number thing is nothing more than a fishing expedition. Out of 10 tag numbers they may come back with 3 that have MVA or insurance problems or even a warrant. Four or five years ago I visited this place. The name was different back then (Rainbow? ). I remembered this as I drove down from north of Baltimore. I went to check out Hanna Spa today about 8:00 PM today and the door was closed, all I could see was the entrance which was illuminated by a red light. There were only 2 cars parked outside. The place was too quiet. I went there looking for FS because of the recent post made about Hanna. Given the down turn at BT, I've gone back to explore other options that have been ignored for a while. Former-Maui has a poor reputation, but on giving them a couple of tries I was rather pleased. It's still Maryland, and BT had gone over the top for a while so it's not all that, but still better than my last couple of BT visits.

I cruised thru the aquarium Sunday night around 1130pm. The area was mostly vacant of SW's with the exception of one BSW but she was out of the range of what I would except, too much tonnage. Very interesting about OS. I had thought since they were closed for several months a year or so ago that it was still dull and uninspiring. The last couple times I visited there before they closed for that extended period of time, it was a very boring uneventful experience, with very plain looking providers who looked more like a student than a massage provider. Made me very uncomfortable to say the least. I prefer women a little older. Least in the 30's.
Might have to take a spin up the hill to OS since it seems to be perking up.

I went there at lunchtime, not too busy. I got Lisa. Older gal with a decent body and a nice rack. This was my first time there and I told them I was there about a year ago.
Had a standing assisted shower that went well. Quick trip to sauna (which wasn't too hot), and then to the room.
Massage was ok. Standard, manual finish.
Nice time, I will be back.
There are precious few AMP's in the Howard County area. I had the good fortune to visit one today and out of respect for the establishment and the lovely gals who work there, I won't mention the name.
Before the festivities began it was explained to me that the county will not allow them to do the showers any more. This to explain why there was no longer a table shower. I was told that LE had questioned exiting customers about what their experience had been with regard to this former feature of the AMP encounter.
I did not believe this. However when I exited, who was there to greet me but Howard County's finest. I politely told them that if they wanted to know what goes on in there, they needed to pay their money and take their chances.
I urge my fellow mongers not to help out LE if accosted by them.

Lex is right. LE is questioning customers as they leave the spas. That is how they got to 21 a couple months ago. Everyone should know that they do not have to talk to LE. Or if you do, just tell the truth and say you had a legit massage cause your back hurts, with no assisted shower. Thats the way it is with me. LE will threaten you with telling your wife/s.o. If you tell them the wrong thing, you may end up getting supeoned by the licensing board. That is what happened to several customers of 21. They had to go to baltimore and testify. All because they were stupid in talking to LE. It appears that HoCo is getting aggressive and we have only ourselves to blame if anything bad happens.

I had an experience a couple of months ago. It was a weekday morning. The doorbell rang while I was inside, and a lot of talking went on at the door. Then Mama and my masseuse spoke in Korean.
The provider said Mama had just kicked out two guys, she thought it was LE. She said don't say any more than massage inside, they may be out front to question you.
It was a spa in an office building, and I went out the side door, and into an informal building smoking area. Around the front were a van and the two young clean cut guys waiting. hmmm....
I waked past them to my car.

Anyway, it has to do with a place on Rt. 1 just south of 175. I saw a possible SW hanging out at a place. I think it was the Cedar Motel, or something similar. She almost looked too good to be true. I've seen them there before. Is this a sting or is it what it may appear to be? Just curious.

They are at this locale on a regular basis. The problem is that the place was a setup spot for Uncle leo on a few occasions. Usually, once every eight months leo rolls up for a sting. Some of the ones that are too good to be true are fresh out the cut(or maybe sting bait). This is one of the first stops for them. Everyone in the cut knows about this area. This is especially true if they are released mid-day to evening. They can score and take care of their business before they head out. If you have the time and courage, pick up a sixer and get a room. You can walk to bars and the dinner, and the foot traffic is out front on a good night. A warm summer night with multiple dates abound. Looks like Memorial day is coming sooner than we think. Some more great news for you. The same traffic you encounter here is 4x $ on Cl. They use the same spots for dates, and most times are the same women. Beat them at their own game, and drink a beer or two with their "managers" while other suckers pay $$.

To those who may read this post. The place has one way in and one way out. I suggest you get a room there and check it out if you want a relaxed night. If you roll up to the driveway and a woman wants to talk business through the window, shut her down immediately. Do not pull around back without her in the car. I went by for lunch, the sign was not on and a red poster with "stop work order" was in the window. Not sure what that means didn't read the fine print.
So took my business down to Lily's, but service wasn't near as good as 21. Guess I just need to head the other direction closer to the city and take a longer lunch for better service.

Bad news, the last time they were closed for months. I hope there is no crackdown. This is especially worrisome because so many DC spas have been shut down. If you look at the DC Spa board, only one, 14K, is getting a lot of reviews. Too many if you ask me (which no one ever does but...).

Today I talked to an employee of 21 Therapy. She said that their shutdown was a direct result of HOCO's finest hassling and questioning customers as they left the establishment. Someone must of panicked and was coerced into supplying enough info to revoke their AMP license. Also sadly, she said that she does not think they will reopen this time :(
I think that whoever it was who blabbed to the cops should feel real proud of himself.
Guys, this is supposed to be America, the land of the free! Even if you are arrested, you have the right to remain silent. If you're accosted in front of an AMP, you definitely don't flap your lips.

I went past Golden Health on Old Waterloo in Elkridge this afternoon. The neon "Open" sign was not on and they do not answer the phone. Hopefully this is just a false alarm and they did not suffer the same fate as 21 Therapy!

I am actually quite happy that I missed all of the action at 21, it seems as though the health department or the police rolled through not hours after my most recent session.
Living in the area, 21 had been an oasis for me after a long week (day) and in the past few weeks I enjoyed sessions with Kay and GiGi. It's a shame the place is gone.
Also, who/what the f could someone say to get the place closed? It seems to me counterintuitive that a customer would flap his gums, especially since unless caught red-handed, it's hearsay.

I don't think she is into just truckers. The guy I saw her with for breakfast was a business type. I am hoping she is not attached to some high priced agency. It will be better for us if she isn't and be affordable. I drove by a couple times but did not see her. She won't be on the street long when she is on the prowl.

Difficult to say, but it might be that she's into businessman types. Think about it from her perspective: Who'd be less likely to give her trouble, beat her up, etc. -- a dude who looks "working class" or a guy in a three-piece suit? Granted, if you're dressed looking like Wall Street when you approach her, she might also figure that she could charge -- and get -- a slightly higher rate. But, her economic situation (and possible habits) may also limit how high she can go without driving you away in favor of a lower-priced SW. So, your best bet might be to dress nicely and be freshly-shaven when you make your pitch. As long as you can demonstrate that you're not a Leo, you've probably got a better than average chance of scoring her. In fact, why not offer to take her to lunch (at the diner or other, less conspicuous place)? Something to consider.

I was down in the area Friday night with a little spare time before heading home. If found this young thing hanging out on Rt 1. She looked really young and I asked to see her ID.
