In a private message, a senior said it was Circus and that a girl had to have a leg amputated. How valid I don't know. I happen to like the Circus.Whether it is the Circus or from any girl with open sores, you should be considered them MRSA+. MRSA will live your skin and if you have a open wound, your wound can become infected with MRSA or some other pathogen that is equally resistant to antibiotic therapy.
I visited the Normas and the old Stagedoor this past Thursday. It appears the stagedoor has changed its name and put in enhanced lighting. The girls have mostly changed, I recall seeing a familiar spinner, but the others were all new faces. That night there were approximately 8. 10 girls working the small stage. After paying a $10 cover, I ordered one beer and only stayed long enough to finish it. This place lacks talent. Now that you can't get a cheap extra; there really isn't worth going to this place. Normas was the status quo. Approximately 20. 25 ladies working on two different stages. Other than them being aggressive, asking for tip just for showing up to work; this place is my favorite on the block. Can we get the bartenders at this place on stage?

Went to Gold Club last Saturday and met Stacey, skinny, long brown hair, and nasty as long as she gets her patrone shots. We ended up doing a room and she allowed my hands & fingers to go everywhere. I went back in yesterday and we practically started making out in the main room, she was quite drunk (something I like but might not be everyone's fav thing) and we did another room. I am hoping that another visit and I will be able to get some outside play. Even if there no outside play, if you just want a good time at a strip club and be allowed to touch as much as you want, try Stacey.

Well, in my constant quest to try something new, I will be in a position to drive from NOVA to Baltimore tomorrow afternoon and have a shot at the Block. In my fantasies of pure fiction, I can fantasize about finding the dancer of my dreams and spontaneously practicing procreating the species right in the very place where the angelic dancer earns her income. Imagine that! I thought someone had posted a checklist for surviving in the Block, but, I couldn't find it.
In the same dream, I figured out that I need to monetarily make the bartender my friend and to reward my dancer friend for taking time out of her busy schedule. But, I don't remember exactly how to do this.
I think I understand how this dream is supposed to end. But, I would be grateful if anyone with real-world experience might be able to pass along some advice.
Sorry for my naivety. I've lived out most of my dreams in Germany and Canada, countries where you don't even have to dream.

The block is great. Always has been and still is. The problem though is with varying definitions of great. You know, one man's trash is another man's treasure.
That said, if you count on and enjoy a trashy experience as I do then the block is perfect. I tend to go for sleazy adult entertainment and think the block is among the best places for that. On the other hand many of my friends prefer "gentleman's clubs" and they hate the block and are disappointed any time they go. Me? The exact opposite: my expectations are always exceeded and one way or another I am usually throughly entertained.
From what I gather, since the fire attendance and revenue are down and folks there seem more willing to bargain than in the past; and they were always willing to bargain. At this point though you're more likely to get a favorable bargain than in the past.
At the very least the block will be a cultural experience that includes naked women. If you go with your mind open and follow good common sense and heed some of the warnings you'll find here (RTFF) you'll have a great time provided the general atmosphere is to your liking.
Take a tour, go from club to club, be free with $ingles and make sure any bartenders are well tipped (see $ingles) and you are sure to have a good time and encounter friendly faces. It's all about money but you are likely to get a fair and happy exchange if you are respectful, not stupid and on your toes. Use cash; don't use your CC. Though plenty have reported good experiences that way, cash will keep you at your predetermined limit. It's too easy to mess up or be ripped off with a CC.

The best part of the block is the "browsing" from club to club. I usually wind up at the Cats Meow. Good girls. Lots of fun but YMMV. Don't be creepy. I again heard today it is MRSA. I can't imagine the owner being too happy about this discussion. I suppose one always takes a chance with this superbug when entering any strip club, but it seems reasonable that some clubs pose a greater risk than others.

I just got a call from a dancer tonight, offering up her services. I haven't talked to this girl for like 5 years. When I met her she was working at GGC and I can't remember her stage name but she told me her real name was Nikki. We hooked up a few times but she dropped off the face of the earth.
Tonight, the phone rings, and I recognized the voice immediately, she introduced herself as Danielle from the Ritz, asked for me by name and asked if I remembered her. (She used MY stage name that I give dancers. Why use real names?) I said that I did and she told me she was available for 'fun' if I was ever interested. I told her I didn't have time (I'm with my kid this weekend) and she told me to call her when I had time. She told me she was going through her old phone and found my number. I used to run into her in public all the time in Northern Baltimore County at Target, the grocery store, a regular bar. Etc. She was always up for freebies with me so I took advantage a couple times.
Has anyone had any intel about where she's been? I didn't have time to talk but it seems shady, or at least shadier than she used to be.
The last time I saw her, she had short blonde hair (dishwater blonde) to her shoulders, and angel wings tattooed on her back. Blue eyes. 5'5" and about 90 lbs, a true spinner.
Anyway, I've been happily dating "civilians" for the last 5 years, and I haven't even been to a strip club in a year. But, things have been drying up on the dating front recently so I'm thinking about it a little bit.

Having been to a lot of strip clubs all over the USA, I can say the block has no equal! There are guys that prefer the big clubs with beautiful silicone breasts and the expensive prices to have fun with the girls. The block offers the most fun for your buck, period. Where else can you get personal with a girl just seconds after sitting down? Tijuana is probably the only place more fun than the block, but nowadays, you might get shot down there. Really, I have been to Houston (strip capital of the world) , Atlanta (Gold Club, beautiful girls, fully nude, no additional fun) , Denver (Shot Gun Willy's, no additional fun) , all Boston area clubs (they all suck, no additional fun) , DC (Goodguys, nice girls, nice lit up full nudity, but no additional fun) , West Virginia (same as DC) , Scottsdale (Pricey) , Tucson (nasty girls and no additional fun) , Oklahoma City & Tulsa (crazy girls but still no additional fun, Jacksonville (hot girls, no additional fun) , Miami (hot girls, no additional fun, Panama City, FL (all 2 clubs suck) , Orlando, Sarasota, Tampa (Mons Venus is the only exception before it was closed, the hottest Florida girls, for. 2 you could feel right a home on a totally nude girl for the length of one song, but still no taking out) , Chicago (nada, zero) , Milwaukee (not even funny) , Green Bay (one or two clubs, they suck) , Anchorage and Fairbanks (no fun. Whoever came up with this no additional fun rules? I can keep going on all the cities of this great country of ours, but. (no additional fun!).
Really, the block in Baltimore has something that no other city in the USA has to offer. I am a person who traveled every weekend to a different city and always came back on a Sunday night to the Washington / Baltimore area where I live. Right before going home, If I did not land to late, I would go straight to the block. Yes, the girls are not the best looking, but. Where else can you feel like the best looking guy, the king of the world, have two, three girls. All on a working man's budget.
By the way, if you want to make me Honorary Mayor of the Block, I will take on the challenge and give it my best. We are lucky to have this place right in our backyard and I hope it never gets shut down.
Note: *St. James in Houston is the only club that compares to the block clubs, but it is only one club; not 10+ clubs that we have here.

I have heard, although not experienced, that additional fun can be had in some of the WVA clubs near Charlestown. Leaving the USA briefly, a few years ago the Canadian side of Niagra Falls had clubs with 9's and 10's, much additional fun, for a reasonable $

I would like to be the first one to place into nomination, for the position of Co- Ombudsman of the seediest, low-down degenerated, swill sucking, best-worse place in Amerca,"The Block". A position recently vacated by the late Wm. Donald Schaeffer (The greatest Cheerleader for Baltimore ever!) Our own pair of de-generated, lucky not to be disease ridden, or put away, Ebadawg (?) and our new poster Spderman888. These two gentelmen imbibe the essence of our Hobby. They truly "Get It". They understand that what we have in our own backyard is truly a miracle. I remember my first "first hand" visit toThe Block, back in 1968. It was after the spring riots, and I finally got a chance to experience the circus midway atmosphere of The Block. The sequined costumes, the tassles and paisties, the three piece combo playing the bump and grind beat for the strippers. First song, the removal of the outer costume, the next song, off came he bra. And the last song the runway strut in pasties, and panties. If you were breathing, the dancers would sit next to you and ask if you wanted some company. After talking a bit, you would buy a bottle of champagne, and make your way to the rear area of the club. I remember twice picking up crabs, once at the Jewel Box, and once at Boot's. If that wasn't to your liking, there was always the Massage parlors, around the corner on Gay St. I was lucky enough to have a friend whose parents owned one of the bars, and he showed me the ropes during several visits to that "Jewel in the Rough" somebody decided to call "The Block"

GTRWow; the title says it all. I don't think I have ever been complimented so nicely before. I'll ignore the insult of calling me a gentleman and just soak in the kind words :)
GTR, I think you have me beat on length of experience but compared to many I go back a ways. I remember hitting the block shortly before my 18th birthday when the drinking age was 18 and just moments (or what seemed like moments) before the 80s got into full swing with the election of Reagan. No politics here; just a reference to time.
I do though remember the clubs where the Benton Bldg is now; when The Block extended east past Gay Street for a club or two; had drinks with Johnny Stacatta; and saw one of the great shows of all time at the 2 O'clock Club. A big old stripper with the biggest knockers ever carry around a chair by placing its back under her boobs. Oh and I saw A BAND play for strippers there as well.
Oh and I remember too when there was almost a second "Block" up where The Godess is now (and was then). I even worked with the daughter of one of the club owners. Heard tons of stories about the joys and perils of a cash business.
What's not to like about The Block? OK; I know what's not to like but that's the stuff I like. It's not like I enjoy seedy and sleazy to the exclusion of anything else but since it's here and available and I subscribe to the notion that a dirty mind is a joy forever, why not? It's great.
When I think of all of the crazy and cool and wild and weird things I have seen - and perhaps done; I don't use the forums as a confessional - I wouldn't trade those experiences for lifetime free pass to Scores. Now, if somebody has a lifetime free pass to Scores, I'll take it; but not in trade for all those years of craziness.
I haven't been in a year or so and have been meaning to go since the fire. Now that I am writing this with a big smile on my face I think I might make it down there next week as I have an excuse to be out of the house. No real excuse for smelling like cigarettes and strippers but I can get out of the house at least.
If you ever saw my wife: brilliant, beautiful, body of a super model, commands respect when she enters a room, perfect manners, dresses perfectly, incredibly well spoken, top of her field, always composed and always intellectually on target and perfect to bring home to mom (who likes her better than she likes me; and she does like me)...
You'd understand why a night of sleaze on The Block is worth every penny.

Like you, I have a great wife (#3) but still love the seediness of the Block and all it has to offer. I go every so often on Tuesday afternoon and always have fun one way or the other.

Thanks VERY MUCH for your advice and for others' as well. I had to abort my trip because my dad (87) had a stroke the day before my planned trip to the Block. He recovered reasonably well, but, I spent a week with him and my mom helping them get adjusted to their new "normal." I will take another pass through the forum and, perhaps, ask a couple of more dumb questions. But, my focus is elsewhere for now.
This likely belongs in another forum, but I like the strip cubs the best. It has been a few years since I have seen offers where a few folks pool together $ for an hour or 2 of photo oppertuinies with one or two "models" usually in motel / hotel rooms. Does anyone know if this still goes on. I mostly heard about it in DC clubs.

That doesn't however keep me from enjoying the pleasures that I can have (on and off the Block) when I'm visiting Baltimore. My first visit to the block was on an overnight visit for a job interview the next day. That was before I discovered this forum. (And it may not have existed back in 1994.) Met a girl in the Plaza on a slow Tuesday night. Bought her a $10 drink. And for a $20 tip she offered me a BJ / HJ while sitting right there at the bar. Damn, what a memory. Of course it was the Plaza, and at that time it was probably the seediest bar on the Block.
Since then I come back to visit when I can (usually a couple of times a year) , and always manage to enjoy myself, even if all I do is wander from bar to bar checking out naked women (a favorite hobby of mine). While most of the bars on the Block have a "Back Room" (or equivalent) , as I've gotten older, I have found that I prefer a more private setting (like my hotel room) to discuss the latest news and current events with a lady, and get to know each other in a more biblical manner. And I find that I can almost always find take out with a lady of my fairly exacting standards during an evening cruising the Block. In the past I've found that I could do that at a cost of from $0 (one time only) to a max of $1. 4 (also one time only) , but more usually for $0. 8 to $1.
I'm coming to Baltimore again in about 2 weeks, and am again looking forward to the visit. I'm hoping that the fire and increased competition among the girls will work to my benefit. So if any of you BLOCKheads are at the Block the week that I'm there, I'll be the young-looking old guy with the stack of singles who almost always tips the bartender. S / he can make or break your day.

That is my preference, but on the few occasions that I have been to Hustler they did say extra's can be had, but probably for more cash. You can also check out Scores not to far from the block, your lady friends will like it, I haven't even inquired about extra's at Scores or the Gentlemans Gold Club on Pulaski. Yeah pop your head in and out of the Block, I prefer going to Norma's or Lust (upstairs) always fun to be had if you get the right chick (s)

EggrollThe Block has gone through a lot of tough times. My brother-in-law was a beat cop there for years. I was visiting my sister with a buddy 41 years ago this summer. Went to the Pussycat on the block last night. Over the years I haven't spent much time in there at all but got roped in last night. Last Thursday night I was part of a group of bar hoppers from my office and we went in and out of nearly every bar, most time was spent in the Pussycat. We had 2 Caucassians. 2 black. 3 Asians, and 1 Latin. All were dressed nicely and acted civilized and sober. All were treated well.
I don't remember which doorman was on duty.
I'm only aware of one bad doorman, and he is at the Circus for the night shift.

NO ACTION and Way too much money they want.

I go for one drink at the start of the loop to settle in and see who is there. Then move on. If I want to hang out and chill I've always found the Red Room the best; I buy a girl a drink and hang out no problem. Maybe I've been lucky but I've always found the bartender's there very cool and the girls not pushy. So I suggest you try that approach.

Wow. Really, wow. This place is a grab bag. You never know what you will get. I went Wednesday around 8. 4 girls working. 2 cute. 1 a little thick but still cute and the last lost her cowbell and the asshole farmer peirced her utters. It was so bad it was fun. GTRGold Club has been VERY good of late. Monday's and Tuesday's they don't open the larger bar as fewer girls are working and fewer guys are in the house. The entertainment is still good. The lap dance area is a little more at the discretion of the dancer on these days. Wednesday's the larger portion of the club opens and more girls are on. Thursday and Friday the club gets very busy and upto 20 girls may be working.
Excape used to be better. Recently it's more like a bunch of local guys hanging out while (maybe) 5 girls dance to 2 songs and make the rounds for their tips. The girls are 7+, but very little customer inter action (maybe I need to actually ask for the lap dance since they don't seem to offer).
Never been to the Crazy Russian, but I believe it has been reviewed her recently.

Extras have never been on the menu in my experience at the Gold Club, but she's definitely my go-to girl when I have an hour or two to kill on a Friday or Saturday night and just want a few drinks, a few dances, and a great conversation. This has been covered many times. First of all, people like me don't go to the Block to "relax". We go to have a good time. I wouldn't call the clubs "strip clubs". In the words of some comedian: "what you see is what you get". I always have a good time. Of course, it's all about money. Did you think it was about "fellowship". Of course, there are no 8's and above on the block. If they were 8's and above they would be working elsewhere.
If you want to drive for 8's and above, visit "Good Guys" in DC, but don't expect ANY extras. I drive from Va to Balt because "what you see is what you get", and that's what I (and other mongers like me) want.
I don't know what the hell you are talking about. I just spend 4 hours and $$$$+ at 5 joints on the block and they all sucked bad. I hit Circus, Flamingo, Pussy Cat, Red Room and one other crap hole.
First of all the girls, the bartenders, barkers, et. Al. Were always trying to leverage you for money. There was no single place that I found that you could go and just relax for a second and survey the talent. It was always: "do you want company?","do you want to buy the lady a drink?","can you tip me for my stage dance?","can you tip me for telling you the prices?"; all sell, sell sell. Totally sucked. I ever had one disgusting saddle bagged, busted ass-grill ho come up and ask me for a tip for her stage dance. When I told her,"hey wait you haven't even danced". She said,"can't blame a girl for trying". We laughed and then she asked "can I get a tip for trying"? WTF?
Secondly, I didn't see one girl that was a 8-10. In fact, I only saw 2 that were 7's. Most were the fattest, most disgusting women I have ever had the misfortune of seeing in a bikini. It was digusting. I love a good scanky ho from time to time but for god's sake take a bath. Wash your hair. Don't have a diet that only consists of chili cheese fries and remaining formula / similac that you baby didn't eat.
I will say that as a 'red light' district, it is cool. The idea that the police let this shit slide is very very amazing and I wish there could be more places like this in more cities. However, it's not a binary options. The choice isn't 'would you rather fuck 2 perfect 10's or 10 busted 2's. A nice 5, 6 or 7 is also a good thing to have on hand.
I don't mean to offend the author of this post by disagreeing with him, but I feel that he may have been lulled into thinking it's a great amenity due to it's proximity to his life rather than a real utopia.
IMHO, the best strip club on the East Coast is the Playhouse outside of Philly in NJ (near Burlington). Great women. 7-9, completely cheap and BYOB. However, the best in the US is the St. James in Houston. I'd put the bottom 25 girls at 'the jimmy' against all the girls on 'the bloq'. Not to mention the St. James will often have 75+ women on any given night. 90% of which offer full options, digits and more. Whats better you can chill and not get 'sold'.

Went to Kaos on a Tuesday. As usual it was boring overall however there were a lot of new good looking young girls there. Sat and talked to one for a bit. Had an occasion to stop in at the block the other Tuesday and made some rounds based on the feedback from this board. I usually head straight for Flame and go but decided to try some other venues. Tuesday evening and nothing going on at the Red Room. Went downstairs and found nearly all black dancers and a few patrons; nothing too exciting so used the bathroom and left. Welcome to the Block. You walked rather than get ripped so you played it ok. Next time try countering with lower numbers to see if they bite. VIP prices are always negotiable and the first price was not unreasonable for VIP FS. I think you're right about being too nicely dressed, it made you look like a mark. Some guys have noticed that when it's slow the girls may quote big numbers because they figure the only way they're going to make any money that day is to find a sucker who doesn't know the game. Some days you're going to strike out no matter how you play it. If one girl is unreasonable try another or move on to the next bar, fun can be had if you stick with it and are willing to walk away from the ripoffs.

Made the rounds from about 6 to 8 tonight. Was looking for a shift change date and found many choices.
Inside the bars there were fewer girls than a normal Monday afternoon and the average quality was lousy (typical). There were still a few hotties to be found. Maybe 4 girls for every customer. Very few bars had a girl on the stage, most girls were just sitting at the front waiting for the next customer to pester. The girls were desperate for money and several offered carry out even without me buying them a drink. Typical asking price was $ for an hour in a hotel, but I was able to talk some down to. 6 before the bar tender chased her away.
Worked the streets for a while and had 5 decent choices (3 BSW and 2 WSW). Three of these girls could have turned some heads at your fovorite suburban mall. One of the WSW was a skinny blonde who works the Diamond, can't remember her name. The others were girls that I have only seen on the streets.

Fuego's has the best looking women, hands down, with the best bargain. If you speak Spanish you will have a great time at Fuegos. Harley Riders in Camp Springs is a "bump and go" club, with low to mediocre women at best, but everything else is on the menu. There are about 10 other strip clubs in PG County with inexpensive lap dances. You can walk out of there with phone numbers (and more) provided that you don't do anything to scare off the dancers.
Also, I don't want to violate any rules re: posting, but there is a database of strip clubs on line (TUSCL) that has some intel.

Decided to stop by larry Flynts tonight. The place and prices are the same as the reviews listed below. About 12-15 dancers working. The dancers were pretty good quality. 6-7 range; though, I thought they were not as hot as Scores. I thought this was the best visit to Larry Flynts because the lap dances were very good (way better than Scores since these are more private, topless, and more milage) and there was no hustle. I visited Circus on my first trip to Baltimore's infamous "block" and was not disappointed. It was the first of three clubs I visited in the same day in Baltimore. There were about 5 dancers working in the early afternoon. The club, like most on the block, is very small and narrow. The stage is surrounded by two long bars, and there is a not-very-private couch in the back of the club by the restrooms.
Circus is very seedy. It's dirty, smoky, and grimy, although if you are a true pervert, this might add to your enjoyment. There is a pretty creepy "door guy" who promotes the club on the street and ushers you in. Upon my entry, I was treated like a piece of meat as the "dancers" in the room descended on me as I ordered a beer. They were universally average; you will find no "10s" here. You will find some hardened women hustling for your last dollar, however.
The elderly bartender also swooped in as soon as a heavily tattooed and pierced blonde dancer sat with me. At the block bars, it is required and expected that you purchase a dancer drink ($25) for the dancer to sit with you. I do not like this system, as I'd rather get acclimated to the club first and then spend that kind of money on lap dances rather than watered down drinks for girls you haven't even really interacted with first.
This was an interesting "drink," though, as the dancer provided the "Baltimore handshake" and let me grope all parts of her body while I sat at the bar. I left refreshed after a couple beers, although the general atmosphere of Circus left a lot to be desired. The "interesting" thing about the block is that a high rating today, could easily become a low rating within weeks based on bartenders, dancers, bouncers, etc. So please bare in mind that these ratings are for my visits in the last month or two.
