Anyone have new reports on them? They even open?
I was in the area tonight and they looked dark, but it was hard to tell. There was enough LE presence nearby that I felt smarter bailing.
PM if necessary. I've been dormant for a bit on mongering, so unfortunately I don't have much else to report.
In town this week, visited Mist based on buzz. Yes, they are still open. IT was 8 pm and I heard a couple other mongers there, but I would not say there was a crowd. Drew Lily. 5'8" 24 yr old cute Korean girl. Said she'd been there 1 week. TS was fine. Skipped massage and went right to the "what do you want? Everything" phase.
Her body, even with implants, was just beautiful- tall, slender, curvy. I love tall thin girls with real womanly hips- not fat just feminine. I loved looking at her body, and in the mirror, and I am trying to keep that image of her in my mind.

Hit mist today for the 2nd time. Rolled the dice and aske MS to bring me anyone. Brought me an older woman, named Jay. Beautiful C cups, but typical korean ass. Fantastic lips also! Due to being advised that specifics are not appreciated on this board, lets just say that I had a great time. Although older, her "skills" were fantastic and very much appreciated. Normal tip.

Also, this BS game is a survival tactic on their part.

The unfortunate reality is that when orders come from city hall they (the police) will react negatively.
I seriously don't think that anything we say on this board affects AMP open / closed status.

So I crossed town, parked on R. I. Ave. Near Conn. And took the little elevator up four floors. I met Linda, a buxom lass who was very sweet. Crazy fun TS, and a delightful session. Oh, on the way out she gave me a Christmas gift, a little Christmas bag with a pair of Polo socklets inside. Rio used to do that too, back when.

Went to mist for the 1st time all the way to the 4th floor. Mamasan picked jay. She has a good personality. Great service and no rush. So far the best service I ever got compare to the AMP gals in philly. Spend for about 55 minutes there.

I see there's a lot of talk about the Mist; Is GHS still open or still good?
As to "A john" post in November. Cops aren't dumb dude, If I can figure out the slang, they can too. It was relayed to me by a reliable and knowledgeable source, off duty LE visit also. They can care less what goes on; they have better things to do.

Just got out of MIST and here is my report:
Forget the four flights of stairs and take the elevator at Sky or even better. Go out to Alexandria to Peach on Backlick.
Mist today (my first time) : I should have walked out! Older lady (name can't even say but sounded like tishee) about 5'6" 38D took me into room and told me to undress, said she'd be back in a min. Took her about 15 (heard TS going so she must have had another customer). Finally got back took me through very rushed TS. Nothing special. Took me back to room and told me to lay down. Said she needed to go out again but be right back. Took her another 10-15 and gave me a very fast rub down. Told me to flip after like 5 min and I said I was not ready but she said no worries. Will take good care of me and so I let her go. Very quick HJ and then out the door. Said she needed more lotion. 10-15 min later she come back, rubbed a little lotion on my back, slapped my ass and said she needed to get a hot wash cloth. Yep folks. If you did not catch the pattern yet you will now. Back in about 10 with hot cloth proceeded to wipe me down and then left AGAIN! I got dressed, took back some of my tip money that was already left out, and proceeded to leave. Told her had to go to work. As I was leaving I did see other girls eating in the front room so not sure why she had to work two customers at once. Gave. 8 at the door and left. 4 (usually tip at least. 8 to 1. 0).
Sky: Always better than Jasmine which I stopped going to many times ago. Every time I go there is a different girl but they all are satisfactory. I'm never going to Mist again. Why walk up all those stairs. I often go right after work and never had to wait.
Peach on Backlick is my new fav especially on weekends. 6 to. 7 for the hour and the girls never look down at a. 4 or. 6 tip depending on what you want. So for 1/3rd less than DT you get a wonderful table shower, you lie on a professional massage table with proper cut outs and all the girls are CMT's and really no what they are doing. I often do construction on weekends so it is a real treat to have someone who actually is educated about massage. They walk on your back, pull your fingers and toes, pull a few other things too! The girls all speak perfect English too so you can have a conversation about your expectations. Hot towel and even after a happy ending, they do not watch clock, tell you to relax. Plenty of time. What more do you like? Unlike Mist where you dress yourself, and Sky where they "help" you a little. They fully dress you here.

Every time I go to Sky I feel like I get real value.
The last time I went my provider rubbed me down with lotion, which felt awesome.
The table shower is nice and the sauna is clean and professional.
The rooms are big and clean.
The location is also nice and peaceful, as opposed to being up a huge stairwell.
The difference is that Sky is actually a real spa.
From my point of view they are #1 in D. C.
The only downside is that the providers are not the absolute youngest in the region, which I know is very important to many on this board.
Since it's the holidays I have to share!

I was a little skeptical, because this AMP has been very unstable for several years.
It reopened for a few weeks, then abruptly closed again.
Now it has reopened yet again under new management (and yes they are answering phones).
Please take the time to try them out. I have not been yet, but will be going soon.
It is important to let them know that there is a market for them. Dupont circle is once again
becoming one of the best AMP locations in the country. It is up to all of us to keep it that way.

The place on that street which used to be really great is a couple doors down from Jasmine at 1829. The second floor was great and the third floor was a hags den. I have not been there in a long time so things may have changed but Jasmine never was much good if I remember right.

Maybe at that point we can get the respect that hobbyists get in other parts of the world.
Regardless the options are looking sweet in DC these days, Smile or not.
Most of the DC spots are pretty crowded. I waited in the hall with a homeless dude for someone to open the door to Smile (he was reasonably helpful trying to use the ringer on the door).

Too strange, I could not tell if she did not like me or was afraid. Asked me if I saw tall or short girl, I said short (lie).
Made the mistake of pulling money from ATM and bringing only 20s. Meant I gave her .8 for the house (of course they never come back with change). During the table shower I told her to keep the change as tip, no need to waste valuable time.
From here things improve radically. Table shower is magnificent.

Thank you. I have been to Mist a few times recently and did go to Vermont a few years ago for a handshake. Have not been to Sky and have not even thought of Jasmine with its public door. There was a website a year ago that showed pictures of men standing at the door of Jasmine (both going in and out). Haven't seen it lately.

Was in DC two days before New Year's and went to China Town for lunch. I decided to stop by and check out Golden Nails since the last reports. Went down the stairs (minus the beggar who hangs out there) and walked in. The place looked nothing like it did previously before what is a total remodel under a new owner. There were several stations for pedicures and a couple for manicures. I quickly counted 6 employees plus the boss and the place was packed. I keep my composure and asked for a foot massage which I love and mentioned Lisa's name. The owner called her and she came out of the back room. Once that was established I "decided" I needed a quick shoulder massage and she took me to the back room. I disrobed for that massage and whispered about extra services. She smiled and said yes but too too busy now and she was right. In fact while I was on the table a woman asked to use the toilet and simply entered the area we were in and walked right past us, making everyone a bit uncomfortable. Of course she returned past minutes later.
Summary: the place has changed for the worse. Lisa may still be available on a slow day but the atmosphere has changed. With several new employees, including a ladyboy in training, Lisa is going to have little privacy to do her thing.

You will find that many of the women in this hobby are very attractive and good at what they do.
The problem is that many women in your normal life will be unable to compete.
We are spoiled men, enjoying quality levels way above what we deserve.
Women in your life will wonder why you no longer look at them with lust in your eyes, or go out of your way to impress them. The answer will be that you will be fully sexually satisfied by women far more desirable.
Men who are sexually satisfied deal with women in an entirely different capacity. You might start expecting them to have nice personalities and be generally useful. Unfortunately most American women are not trained to be either.
I have no advice for the young'ins of this board only a warning, few people ever leave this game (in other words membership is PERMANENT).

Back in the day, (Two years ago) that was a hot ass spa. Service was on point.Ten years ago, that was one of the hottest places of all time. When Kona in Bethesda closed, the manager moved to Downtown and presided over the glory days.
I still think about the dream I had where an Asian cowgirl was riding sidesaddle, using one hand on my nipples and the other to play with the boys and the Pacific rim, while I watched the rodeo in the mirror on the side wall.
The only competition for a nicer lineup was the joint in the Korean center on NY Ave, NE. Back in the day, they'd put you on the couch in that waiting room, then 8-12 beauties would parade in for your choosing pleasure.

The young guys will learn some tricks and get the nervousness out of their system. Women smell this like warm chocolate and will swarm all over you because you don't give a shit. They only have one piece of real currency (well, three, but we'll say one for now). If you don't need or want pussy, they'll wonder why-because its supposed to be Gods gift to man. THen they'll start chasing you and waving it in front of you to figure out why you're not falling over yourself like every other guy.
Your standards will be higher, which they should be. And really, no American girl will ever touch the quality of a Korean girl. When was the last time you had a visit to the pacific rim, F / S and then have your socks and shoes put on for you. Hell, when was the last time beside your mother that a girl put your socks on for you.
DI: DT was the finest of the fine. I remember walking in one Saturday and my all time favorite, Bibi, said,"To hell with the massage. We do that later," and proceeded to strip me and jump my bones. The only reason why I like NOVA is that there is parking, locations are good (not in the open) , and I can choose the women. I'm not sure this is the same for DC, especially the parking. I'm in dc for a few months and I was hoping to find some action here, and I found it.
Because of all the posts here I decided to venture out and try to find mist.
There wasnt an address posted here, I'm pretty sure the reasons are obvious, but I managed to decipher the area, and from there I managed to find the spot.

To answer your questions, there has been some price creep up from 60 to 70, but I'm thinking 70 is pretty much the norm unless you really want to put up a fuss and not worth it.
Usually pay the. 7 up front, and then when she leaves, put down the $, so everyone knows whats-up, there is no negotiating and done-is-done. She doesn't have to touch the money, so no money exchanges hands. What I've found lately is that sometimes they don't even like you putting the $ down in advance.
There will now probably be a out ten threads on how to put the $ down, but I don't think there is a wrong way of doing it. Short changing the girl is the WRONG way of doing it. $ is the donation and tip if you want.
Some will wait until the very end, I don't think it matters. I just like doing it up front so the negotiation is done and everybody knows thats that.
You must have had the right 'look' for her to ask for everything up front, pretty easy, but dangerous for her if you were LEO.
I've never had anything stolen from me while at an AMP, but why invite temptation. I just take my I'd and the right amount and leave my wallet locked in my car.
I think they have the system down, and don't want to invite any more trouble or go looking for it. What are they going to steal? Your credit card? And risk getting caught using it or have items shipped to where?

I usually leave my wallet and cell in the car while doing any kind of hobbying, but for those who cab or Metro, that's not an option. It's been a while since I had a TS, but places used to provide plastic zip pouches to bring your valuables into the shower room. If you don't see one next time, you could always bring a Ziploc freezer bag.

As for the tip, I really think this girl did deserve an extra. 1 or. 2. I mean the massage lasted at least 20 minutes. She did my whole body down to my feet. That sort of treatment is one of the things that made the AMP option so attractive.
The whole package being washed, massaged _well_, taken care of, and pampered as you dressed, made AMPs better than most other options. As they became more well known and popular, they became too busy to maintain that level of service.
I suppose now it is unusual, and deserves some extra recompense, but it's very sad that it has become unusual.

I find it hard to believe you thought you'd get a table shower, massage and the works for a total of 80 anywhere in the continental United States, but if you really were confused, and want to set things right and go another round, show up with the house fee and 2 fresh, crisp C notes. Explain to mamasan that you made a mistake, but came back to fix it, and show her the notes; one for last time, one for this time.
Ask mamasan to bring the girl to you and hand her one of the notes, so there's no question that she got it, then it's up to you and her whether you repeat, or pick a new girl.
Hopefully, this puts you in their good graces as a guy who might not be so bright, but is honest and deserving of good service.

The session was good, quite an acceptable DC session. I recommend. I paid. 7 + 1. 2. Lilly was accomodating, although my tastes are pretty normal. She is direct, almost abrupt, but when you talk to her a bit she becomes sweet. English = poor.
I kept trying to place her, she looks very, very like the pretty gal that worked at Gerwig up in Cloumbia a year or so ago. She said it was not her. I must have run into her here, when it was open last year.

OK. So I am brand new at this. Never did this before. I read some of the current posts in this thread and checked out Asian mist. Now I think I really messed up but I don't know?
I call up there and asks how much it costs cause in this thread I kept seeing $ 7 and I don't understand why so I just call and ask for the price and she tells me its 70. Ok cool. Then I see how people say they live the girl a tip of $1 or $2 and that makes me think 10 dollars or 20 dollars going off the logic of the 70 thing.
SO. I goto asian mist. The chick comes in and gets the money which is 80 and I tell her 10 will be the tip or whatever.

Also tried out sky (with the right money this time aha) and wow. I'd have to say sky is a better experience just because of the fact they have a sauna, and that the massage is like. Better / longer.

You're screwing it up for the rest of us. The product is starting to improve because mongers are willing to put a little more into it, and you want to go back to old pricing? Its 2011, the 90s were twenty years ago. Then again, that probably explains why were getting 40 year old providers because you're sticking to the same price of old.

I don't go any further than that with them so that is why my gratitude showing is a little smaller.

LexLutherNo one is forcing them to do what they do. Most of them started this work back in their country, then got connections here, came here to make same or more money for half the job. It makes no difference $ 100 or $ 150 tip. At the end of the day it's ton of cash in pocket of some old lady. I don't mind to pay for young (20-25). Haven't seen that in AMP yet. The one I thought was 28, was actually 37. Go figure.
By the way, who is in control of the "going rate"? Who makes the decisions?
First, I want to suggest something to everyone on this board. Lets not refer to the $100 payment for service as a tip anymore, it is not accurate as IT IS IMPOSSIBLE TO PAY A TIP BEFORE SERVICE IS RENDERED, AMPs are no different. You pay ahead of time because that is the fee.
Suggested terminology might be something like this:
HOUSE: $70.
GIRL SERVICE (before service) : $100.
GIRL TIP (after service) : $10. - $30.
$100 IS NOT THE TIP, IT IS THE BASE PRICE FOR SERVICE.
She does not get any of the $70 for the house.
If you are the type of person who goes to restaurants and leaves without paying a tip to the waiter then leaving after paying $100 "makes sense".
If you pay a tip to the waiter at the restaurant and don't pay a tip to your AMP provider then you are not being consistent.
Most girls are worth at least $10 extra as you prepare to exit.
If you pay $100 for bad service and pay $100 for good service then the girls are incentivized to give bad service, aren't they?

Then in the room you pay the provider 100 for FS. Just put the 100 on the table before she comes back from giving the house fee to the mamsan. Once she see the money she relaxes and knows you have been there before.

Don't give her 200. Thats ridiculous. There are many places in dc and mist isn't one to give 200 bones. Just go to a different spot.
You must take a bucket of money and go back there! The fees for that place is $70. 00 for the session PLUS $100. 00 for all the extras.
Try again. Ask for the same girl and give her $200. 00 over the $70. 00 house fee to make up. If you do so, you will become a hero in their eyes and get special treatment on later trips. If you do not. Best just stay away.

Read this post about Downtown and it bought back some great memories. I met Suzi a few times and she was a wild one. Loved the oil, but also like to play with poop shoot. So it depends some treat you like kings others don'tWent Mist and had a great time with a provider. Recommended her and the location to my friend. He indicated that the service wasn't the same. He's older, not as fit, and not as talkative. Remember, they are people too. It would make sense to have some there.Unlike other cities like NYC or Philadelphia, where you can trip over an AMP walking through chinatown, I don't think DC has an AMP in its C' town. The Verizon center foot traffic brought with it a lot of different commercial chains, which in turn jacked up rents for real estate in the area. Not sure whether it makes much business sense for an AMP to pay a premium rent just to set up shop in C'town. Remember, most of the providers in AMPs seem to be Korean girls, not Chinese. This probably means that they set up shop in the C'town's because of the central location, relative saftey, and CHEAP rents. Not because they're Chinese.
Sounds like you already know about the locations in Dupont. There are other options in N. Va, but between what's available in Dupont, and the three different spots I've been to in N. Va, I've always been disappointed with the disparate levels of service, price, and selection that was offered to me at the N. Va locations. Granted, the actual massages were better, but if that's what interests you. Then you're probably on the wrong website.

I've been to 1215 four times since the fall because I've always gotten a good looking girl and only had to wait once (though they were closed for a while). They consistently underperform their competition down the street and in other cities. Table shower has always been bland and the massage has been very poor quality. I always get a standard DC finish, but always lackluster. At other places I probably average about 50 minutes per visit, at 1215 I'm probably averaging about 30 minutes. Today was only 26 minutes from getting off the elevator to getting back on it.
I'll be going to other places where the girls may not be as good looking, but where the services are better.
I'd like to read other reviews from this place, good or bad.

But I could not disagree more. 1215 is a gem on the DC scene.
They are clean and private unlike the competition.
When I go there the floors are clean enough to eat off of.
Even the table shower is clean.
Also they offer a very nice sauna which is often not available at other places.
Plus I have had some very nice ladies there.
Getting 26 minutes will happen if you go for the finish up front. Happens to me all the time.
I do not blame them, because the finish can be exhausting, leaving the lady needing a rest.
If you want to stay longer I would say, ask for a longer sauna session, and let the massage go for longer before you go for the finish. 1215 is a place where a good massage is possible (and probable) , this is not the case at many locations in the area.
1215 might be my #1 spot, I think I will go tomorrow.

I have to agree that the place has been absolutely spotless, much cleaner than nearly every other AMP. I'm never one to rush to the finish because a good massage is nice. But my last 4 Sky massages have been poor quality and very short. I'll monitor responses from other mongers and I may put them back in my rotation.

I decided this would be a good time for a 1st post. A little comparison between the walk up and elevator locations. First the elevator. Nice location easy to get in and out. Interior was a bit more upscale. Met by Lora at the door, tall 40ish with big ol' titties. TS was decent but was a little quick. Attention to the proper areas. Back in the room massage was about a 5. But playful teasing before the flip was extended and excellent. Couldn't wait for the flip. Asked me what I wanted and I suggested BJ for. 8 which was acceptable. Began by strattling me 69 style. Very good technique. I was given full access no rush. Overall great service and I gave her an extra. 2 because I am a nice guy.

I had a few hours to spare for some play. After I found a place to park I figure I would try to see if theres anything roaming the streets but no luck there so I went to the Mist. There girls were fairly decent looking. The TS was nice and I was cleaned in all the right places. I realy wanted a good massage and once I got back into the room and she started the massage I relized this Is not going to be anything good. She asked what I wanted and I should have just took the small loss of the door fee but the little guy did not let me. Fees were the same as most AMPs but I was in and out in about 25 minutes.

The business then runs according to government standards, (that usually set safety, and hygiene standards for the establishment) , and require the business to show proof that their employees are safe through blood tests.
But I doubt of any political movements holding ground any time soon on this issue.

The problem is that law enforcement only enforces the law, not make the laws. Any politicians reading this board are on the illegal side of the game and are in no position to change the law.
The AIDS argument does carry weight. If this town is as liberal and progressive as it proclaims to be, those living in Tenleytown should be VOCAL about legalizing prostitution to enforce laws and rules that safeguard sexworkers and their clients-as well as require regular check-ups, STD screening, and the mandatory use of condoms.
But, oh, wait they are the ones that didn't want an adult bookstore in their neighborhood.

Authorities said they seized more than $70,000 overall, including money that D.C. police officers had paid out during their undercover work.
In court papers, authorities want a judge to order Jasmine Therapy closed, saying it operates as a front for a house of prostitution.
Police raided the business after a different visit by an undercover D.C. police officer, who also gave $200 after being asked for $70.
According to the complaint, the officer also took off his clothes and headed to the shower room, but declined a massage afterward, saying he didn’t have the time. The woman “made a sexual motion simulating intercourse,” left the room and returned with a condom, court filings say.
That was when police raided the business, acting on a signal from the officer. The two women, identified only as D1 and D2 in the court papers, were arrested on charges of solicitation and giving massages without a license.

I've been lucky enough to have traveled regularly to Europe. The hobby is 100% legal in countries like Germany. I go back there and spend my money on hotels, food, and rental cars. Pouring hundreds of Euros into their economy. To participate in the hobby.

Fellows. I'm Canadian of Belgian descent, where I made my rounds in Quebec as a young one in legal institutions.
I now live in Bangkok (here, in DC briefly for work) and I can truly say, countries or municipalities who understand the economic benefits of our hobby are the enlightened ones. I was in BKK during the red-shirts last year and the economy suffered significantly during that time. Tourism dropped, stores closed, everything halted. Yes- because of protests, but there was also a significant vacuum in the economy because my fellow mongers shied away. Only now have things gotten back to normal economically.
It's been mentioned already in this thread, but where gov'ts get it right, workers are carefully screened for STDs (bad for business if a monger turns up drippy) , businesses are properly taxed, everything is licensed and for the most part orderly. Sure there are still pushy touts, and rip offs to be had. But for the most part, the scene is safe, fun and constant. And that's why places like Singapore, Bangkok, and others are climbing the economic ladder.

I had a rough day (actually week) at work, things are stressful as expectations are high.
My stress level was off the charts.
Until, I visited my favorite spa. I was met by my regular who I think loves me, or at least loves my tips (which is good enough). She met me in the sauna and gave me the most authentic GFE. I am not arguing that it was real, but in my mind it felt as real as anything I have known.
What she did was lower my stress level by magnitudes. Which in turn lowers my blood pressure and other potential health related stress problems.
What DC Metropolitan does when they close a spa is mess with my physical and mental health.
This is the reason I take these closings so personally. Not only that, it is a complete waste of tax payer dollars.
If my spa girls call me, you can be sure I will be there for them day or night.

Well for those of you east of Ohio I have good news. Nicole how was a super star at Sun Spa in Warren, Ohio has relocated to the DC area. Visited 1333 the other day. Hadn't been there in ages. Heck, hadn't been to an AMP in ages. So this visit was all the more pleasing for me. My masseuse was Missy from NYC. About 30ish; a bit older for my taste (I prefer 20-somethings) , but she had a great bod. TS was very thorough. Since I hadn't had a good TS in a long time, it really felt great for me to be scrubbed down well. Massage was superb. She spent a good length of time on my stressed-out shoulders and back. Freshly. It's called being human. After all, they are human too. Treat them right, the good ones will want to stay, or will recognize a good regular (versus a robot who is just strictly professional). And if you went out and got a real date, you wouldn't be commenting and worrying about the hobby, now, would you? .
Gifts? I was told to come back in 20 minutes. So back to Camalot for one more beer. 30 minutes or so I went back and got in. The lady that andwered the door I thought was going to be my therapist and I was not sure if I wanted to stay. But in came Mina.
Cute girl. Speaks and understands our native language. (English) Nice table shower and back to the room. Very good massage. After a long long long massage I was wondering when the flip would come. Hello, I've been registered here for 23 days and this is my first report. After reading some reports for spas in the MD / VA area I decided to go to one (referenced below) this past Sunday (2/20). So I call at 6:30pm, Masaman asks if I've ever been there, I tell her yes, she asks me who I used to see, I give her the name, and she suddenly becomes very friendly and tells me that the girl no longer works there, but three others do. So we make an appointment for 9:30.
Arrive at 9:34pm, walk in to find masaman and 3 ladies, one chubby white in mid-40's, one chubby Hispanic in mid-30's, and one fairly attractive lighter-skinned Peruvian in her late 20's. A little fat, maybe 140-145 lbs, but great tits and ass. Genina I believe her name was. She takes me back, we negotiate 170 for "everything". And everything worked out great. Multiple positions. Its great reading about the AMP's glory days, I went to a bunch right before I moved to Richmond VA. Anyways I'm planning on doing a B-day present to myself and if the weather permits visiting DC tomorrow for a AMP tour. What does anyone know about H&H Flotation on Wisc. Ave? I can't find any reviews at all except a * review from 5 years ago. I never went there when I lived in town and have seen mixed reviews, but I know they did provide similar service as AMP's although their staff isn't strictly Asian. Looks like my AMP tour will be spent in the "golden triangle"/CT Ave area with now only 4 of them in 1 area as opposed to around 15 all over the nicer parts of NW DC. Wow things have freakin downsized!

This is a delayed report of 1333 Mist which happened about 3 weeks ago. This time the service was much better. TS was amazing. The massage was the best one I've had so far (only ever had one at an AMP). After the flip it got better. The standard door fee was charged, plus the tip. I gave her an extra 20 because of the amazing massage and great service.
Now for some questions.
As you know, this locale has been closed. And since this was the only one I have ever gone to. This saddens me since I was getting into the hobby and enjoying myself. So the question follows: Where should I go now to indulge? I know that there is a place in Tenleytown I've done my research and I know where it is and all of the logistical problems. However, a problem remains; I'm young (22) and at my prior establishment they were always skeptical of my age. They, however, didn't care and proceeded to provide a great service.
So, I ask you: As a young monger, will this place be a problem? I know it's known for it's discretion and raising an eyebrow to people they don't know. And I am afraid that this might be a problem with the recent crackdown. So, any input from you guys would be very appreciated.

The answer is as clear as day; at an AMP you're guaranteed FS; dating is hit and miss. You can spend 3 times the amount of money as you would at an AMP on taking a few single ladies out, and not get half the 'affection' you would get at an AMP.
I'm older and married too. Most of us, I think, go to AMP's because we as men are generally under appreciated by women. They are taught from small that men, 'have to do this for you', 'and have to do that', so women generally don't thank us.
An an AMP; that hour is all about 'us' getting pampered.

I do believe a decade or 2 ago it was an older man's sport, but I see the dudes who leave and enter Mist, Jasmine, etc.
These are majority younger guys.
While there are many single women, they are usually single for a reason, and often times have radically high standards or are terrible to look at. Some men simply do not want to settle for it.
My theory is that in our fast paced and impatient world, more men simply don't have the time or patience to deal with non-payment relationships (especially when you simply will end up paying anyways).
And there is one more elephant in the room, I do not like American women (looks or personality) at all (and I am not the only one).

why hobby?Ginger, I also appreciate your contributions and respect your opinions. But I guess I'm jumping on the dog pile with my $0. 02 on this topic. It's pretty clear that there is no one answer to this question.
I think Freshly Snipe's report kinds sums it up for me. It's an hour of being papmered. If you spend all that time waiting for the end, you just might miss a good TS and massage. I'm not quite old yet, but I got a good 20+ years on our young Mr. Dcoffee. And I can honestly tell you that I can't recall my SO ever giving me a nice TS and a good massage. And BJ's? As soon as I said "I do", she said "I don't". And to be perfectly honest, AMPs are cheaper than my SO.
I don't know if I'd stay sane if I couldn't slip away for an hour and get pampered with a little me time.

I have seen and known many who have their ethnic roots in some of the finer places that make great women BUT they were either second generation immigrants or adopted as an infant and raised here. There is too much pure ***** training going on in our schools and culture to make any American woman whiney, demanding, and high maintenance pigs. My first wife was one and I will never see another.
My present wife of over 30 years is the finest person I have ever known and while her interest in sex itself disappeared many years ago the rest of our life together is the best! So I see the AMPs and the occasional BP girl to take care of that and continue on that way. My wife was born and raised in the Far East and even after being an American for all these years she was raised right and still does most things right.
SO. If you are looking for a great wife go somewhere away from the USA andyou should find her. If you just want to bust a nut you can rent one of the American pigs if you want and if you have sadly married on of them and want to taste the good life go visit an AMP.

He never traveled outside the US; I've been just about everywhere and just can't seem to find a single woman here who doesn't act like Helen Hunt on Mad About You constantly berating poor Paul Reiser. I've never wanted a woman to wait on me, all I've wanted is a little mutual respect and partnership in life, but damn it if women here in DC can't find some way to blame you for every little unhappiness in their lives. And for such a sensitive gender, don't they have a way of just being vicious and emasculating in their attacks?
Some people who know me well know that I step out as we all do to the local AMPs, and what my little trips down to Costa Rica or the Caribbean are really about. They also know that I am a good and otherwise decent man, and why I choose to do so rather than hunt for a civilian, and I think in a way they are almost envious. While I don't go around yelling it from mountain tops I don't feel in the least bit ashamed or stigmatized by the fact that I hobby.
If I were to ever get married it would probably be to a nice lady from South America, Thailand, or the Philippines. No swearing, no false pretense about football, but someone who can honestly be relied on to share an equal albeit feminine role in a relationship.

Potential Wal-Mart landlord accused of hosting massage parlor.

A prominent landowner who could soon host the city's first Wal-Mart is being targeted by city officials who are accusing his company of allowing an illicit massage parlor to operate in a downtown building it owns.
Jerry Schaeffer and brothers Andy and Dave own the parcel near New York Avenue and Bladensburg Road NE That the mega retailer is eyeing for a 126, 000-square-foot store. The Schaeffers, long major players in the city taxicab industry and in real estate, have entered into a 60-year ground lease with a developer that is working with Wal-Mart to open a store next year.
A Jerry Schaeffer-owned company also owns a building at 1215 Connecticut Ave. NW, where "Spa Sky" operates. A Jan. 5 sting resulted in arrests of two Spa Sky employees on solicitation charges, according to court documents (warning: explicit language therein). A civil lawsuit filed by D. C. Attorney General Irvin Nathan this week alleges that the company is "allowing the operation of a house of prostitution."
On Jan. 14, the complaint says, the city notified Schaeffer's company that he had a bawdy house on his premises. But there was no response, and the suit holds that Schaeffer "has not taken any steps to abate the prostitution-related nuisance activity at the Property."
The city is requesting a judge to declare the parlor as "nuisance property" and immediately shut down Spa Sky. It also asks that Schaeffer's company pay damages and bar any future business on the premises that "provides physical therapy, spa, massage, nail salon, or any other services which would require the physical touch of another person, including disrobing (partial or otherwise) , touching (I. E, skin-to-skin contact) , or the treatment or application of any lotion (prescription or non) to any area of the body."
Reached this afternoon, Schaeffer rejected suggestions that he didn't move swiftly to get rid of the illicit business and vowed to fight the lawsuit."We started eviction as soon as we found out about it," he said."We're in the process of eviction now."

The parcel that is the potential home of the Wal-Mart is on the other side of the street of 1818 NY Ave, and the spa in question in the article is in a property of his on Conn Ave. I know the Schaeffer's own parcels on the south side of NY AVe from WV to Bladensburg Road, where Skylark Lounge is, but not sure they own 1818. An interesting and important article for this forum, but not sure if it is relevant in regards to whether 1818 is open.

I have no problem with being quoted and she is free to interpret it however she wants so long as the full context was understood. That sentence quoted by itself could be taken to mean that I don't tolerate women who are professionally driven, unconventional, gay, or even just liberal. That is not the case at all. I just don't want one of those women as my most trusted and intimate partner in life; what would we have in common?
I don't know anything about the writer, but let's assume that her writing is in defense of orientation or some kind of 'unconventional' lifestlye. She rightly doesn't want to be treated differently or marginalized. Why would my personal desire for a more conventional be any more wrong?
The other part of my post which may not have been clear is that in my experience, which is far from empirical, a lot of women in the DC area are just not very nice. I don't enjoy being berated or taken for granted.
The bottom line is that it seems that this writer is taking select quotes in order to create impressions that might be prejudicial which is not helped by the fact that they are solely sourced from this site. But she has limited space to post her articles, and after all she is free to have her forum as we do ours.

First, she didn't name me by handle or attempt to 'out' me, so for that she has some credibility and sense of ethics as well as my thanks. I had a brief interaction with Amanda Hess. She tows the politically-correct line in thinking that "massage parlors" = "human trafficking". The underlying (incorrect) assumption is that no woman would sell sexual services without being forced. It's a peculiarly American viewpoint.

The venues are pretty much closed or not worth it. Just like everything in the US, its being outsourced overseas. Amsterdam is just six hours away, take the midnight flight from Dulles. 15 minute train ride to the Red Light District. Leave Friday night, come back Sunday. Probably cheaper, too.

Middle of the week visit in office park in Manassas. A lot of businesses around the office park look shuttered, so its pretty discreet location.

Got bored with the NOVA scene because it seemed really bleak in the past month to two months. I decided to drive out west to Front Royal.
First. This place is hard as hell to find. It is an old colonial house on one of the main streets in town. Parking is in the rear. I got out there and there were a few cars in the parking area so I thought they must have a few providers. I was wrong. Came to the door and said "come back 30-mins." So I went to Wal-Mart and walked around for while because I was not going to waste that tw0-hour drive.
When I returned invited in by a short 40-50ish korean woman. She took me to a room with a bed and told me to relax. I started to undress. Wrong! It was just for me to hang out until I went into the massage room. This place is literally an old house and the woman who led me in was not my provider.
I was escorted to another room with a massage table and a fireplace. Late 30's provider, short korean with a pudge. Nice massage and a lot of talking. No TS. Thought it was going to be a waste of time. On the flip Nova Finish and roaming invited. Not the best service but not rushed and it felt like a familiar visit with a friendly provider. Another site has given this location some pretty decent reviews the last few months so finally, when I had the day off, decided to drive into town and see for myself.
Facility was fairly easy to find, right off of Wisconsin. Went inside, said Hello, to the birds, and was greeted by a very tall, thin and pretty (Ethiopian I think?) gal. I didn't get her name, but found her to be supremely lovely and charming.
As others have noted, facility is a bit run-down but satisfactory. No TS. Just a normal shower setup which I took advantage of.
Back to the room, face down and was treated to a very nice and relaxing massage. Lots of lotion but didn't feel oily at all as she rubbed it into my legs and back. During the session, lots of pleasant chit-chat from start of massage to finish. As we like to say in NOVA, standard finish but very nicely done. There was a mirror mounted on the wall. OK. Got 2 reports for the same place. This place will not be named in case of whoever is lurking so you won't know where this place is at but hey, that's just the way it's going to go.
First visit.
The woman I pull is old as hell. (when I say old, I mean between 40-50). I like them in thier 20s and early 30s. Anyways, she still looked decent so I went ahead. This is where things go wonky. And it slowly ate at me more and more over time to where I'm laying in bed trying to sleep and I can't stop thinking about how annoyed I am now about the whole situation to where instead of me posting my reports tomorrow, I had to get it off my chest now. Honestly, The experience kinda turned me off from AMPs in general and I feel like just not even bothering. With that said.
That experience really made me appreciate Mist and Sky more for the attitudes the girls had at those places. I mean, attitude is huge difference, in fact, it's a game changer. Even the chick I messed up with my first time at mist had a attitude 100 times better than this chick (after I made it right with her of course). Damn I wish Mist and Sky were still going.
Anyways. Those are my honest reports and how I felt about them, hopefully I didn't piss anyone off here.

Its standard NOVA fare, but ok. There is a mattress on the floor (or there was both times I went). Thought to myelf that I was in for a great time. Not so much! It was not part of either session.
BTW, if you have any pet peaves.
Its on the 2nd floor behind a restaurant. There is an elevator that takes you up to their front door. Its kind of an awkward setup. Then there is a lot of space between the door and the floor you can see feet walking by. No carpeting from what I remember. Its pretty clinical setting ecept the mattress

My first time at H&H. I like the offbeat vibe of the place, birdcage in front, frumpy furnishings, old woman in charge who said,"We have an unannounced guest." I was introduced to Linda, a Latina, and a Caucasian woman (the Ethiopian attendant had left for the day). I chose Linda, who I found quite attractive. Dark hair and eyes, pretty face, in her 30s, nice bee cups. Since it was our first meeting she was a bit reticent, which led to a lukewarm session. She started the shower and then left to change into a dress. I had to wait a bit before she returned to start the massage. She used unscented oils, a light touch, slow pace. The best part was when she massaged my feet. She applied more pressure there. Overall the massage was uninspired. Standard NOVA on the flip, then a heated towel, and another trip to the shower.

This time the chick looks like late 20s and early 30s. I think perfect. Face is cute, and body is good with B cups. This is where things slowly god down hill. Hit her with the fee for the massage and I get ready for TS. TS is like any other TS but the whole time I get this wierd vibe from this girl like she has a shitty attitude that she is trying to cover up but you can still sense / read it. Then she goes to dry me up. Kinda half asses it. We get back to the room and I end up having to dry myself up a little more while she left. When she comes back she starts the massage. Massage is painful and not that good. She asks if it feels ok and I obviously say yea cause I'm a man but I swear it felt like she was trying to hurt me. She was putting her whole body into some of those thumb presses. During this process I ask about the FS. She said how much. I offer the standard obviously. She asks for more. I told her I don't have more. We settle on that price. After the massage she asks for the money before everything else. I give it to her. She then asks for more again even tho we settled on a price and I'm thinking what? And then she gives me this look as if I'm cheap. Number 1. We didn't even finish yet, but she wants me to tip extra on service I haven't even been given? Her whole attitude was just shitty the whole time basically (from ts to finish). It really turned me off from the whole experience. I literally struggle to get a nut off because of her attitude. I eventually lose my "Will" (if you know what I mean) for a bit and she is like "maybe not today" and I'm thinking,"no maybe you need to not be a * and stop making me feel weird about all of this." I ask her to give me 5 minutes so I can gather my thoughts and she is hesitant but then she agrees. She leaves and then comes back in literally like 1 minute and keeps saying maybe not today come back again etc. And I'm like no, let me try. So I get it back by focusing on someone else and I get the nut off. Mind you its been like 45 minutes total, not the whole hour so its not like I was going past the time limit. We are taught from small to be nice to women, no matter what, and this provider knows it, and used it to her advantage thus still being paid in full for sloppy service. The only reason she kept up with shitty attitude was because you didn't put her in her place from when you first sensed it. I'm sure she probably gets away with this all the time; again, most guys will try to accommodate her mood, as opposed to being up front. What we as mongers need to understand is that this is not your typical day to day male-female interaction, where we have to put up with a woman's attitude. They are providing a service. And just like any retail based business, it's all about the customer. You should have politely told her that you didn't come here and pay her your hard earned money to acquire more stress, but rather to alleviate it, and if that's a problem, you want to see another provider, or talk to who's in charge.
Again, your not on a date where we have to go along with the womans attitude, in hopes of getting what we want out of the situation. It's her job to accommodate 'you'.

Please hook me up.Some of the good spots in DC include (a) the top of the Washington Monument, (be) the Lincoln Memorial and Reflecting Pool, (see) the Smithsonian Museums, (the) the National Archives, and (the) Arlington National Cemetery (in VA). Try them out; you'll find them fascinating and educational.
Seriously, though, the currency of this hobby is information. Such information is gained through experience, the expenditure of one's time, and the exchange of your hard-earned cash for those experiences. Not much of this board's members' infomation came to them gratis. They went out and obtained it.
Imagine if you were to go up to a total stranger on the street and ask him to give you, say, $20 or so. That person would likely tell you to take a hike or give you a much ruder response. You should view asking for info in the same light, at least until you've built up your credibility and shown that you've contributed something to the forum. Right now, you've only got 3 posts to your credit, and none of them contain actionable intel.
Now, in spite of all this, many folks who read this forum have been so generous as to post, free of charge, reports of their personal experiences. It's all there, for anyone to read. You just have to expend some of your own time and energy in reading them; then, you'll know where some of the "good spots" in DC and Virginia are located. But NO ONE is going to deliver it to you on a silver platter. If you and your brother want to "try this thing," you need to get off your@$$ and do some minimal work. Once you do so, and then start sharing some of your experiences, you'll start receiving some quality info from other members.

After a very long hiatus, I happened to be downtown today at Dupont Circle. Having time and cash, I checked:
Asian Mist aka Dupont Therapy (formerly Supra) : Closed, with note on the door and red evidence tape sealing the door.
The Green Door (the other 1333) : I didn't linger due to some shady characters nearby, but I didn't see a bell to ring, so I'm guessing this one is closed.
14K. I knew this was probably still closed, but I was nearby. And they even covered it with a decontamination tent.
I'm sure this isn't news to those who frequent DC more often than I. I went back a few pages on this forum and didn't see anything either. I miss 2004.

I normally ask for more pressure but the therapist used movements that were painful, and even when I told the therapist that it felt like she was just digging her elbows into my back, she was insistent that it was a 'good massage'. Then they were pushy to get a tip after. I've had some really good and some really bad massages. Most of the bad ones were free from friends who were in massage school. This was the absolute worst massage I've ever had, and I paid more than I've ever paid before for that crappy massage.

These newbie clowns just waltz on up and post questions like,"Anybody know about____? " or "Where can I find ____? " or "Where is the best place to get FS? " It's not that "we" are part of some clique and "they" aren't; it's simply that they've demonstrated no initiative and offered no intel of any value, but simply cop an attitude when they get a well-deserved smackdown.
Take a look at your 8 posts since joining this forum. You had the opportunity to provide useful intel or give a reports of your findings in any one of them. But instead, ALL of them are of the sort I mentioned above. You've given nothing, but you seem to expect something substantial in return. I've seen newbie's who, on their very first post, have provided great reports. It all depends on the attitude of the individual. Yours tends to suck. You say you've belonged to TBD? Congratulations. Still, we have no way of knowing what the quality of your posts were over on that forum, either, so BFD.
Now, you've got three options, as I see them: (1) Take two steps back, adjust your attitude, and make a new start by giving instead of taking. (2) Keep with your current attitude, post useless comments, and remain bitter or frustrated or both. (3) Lurk in the background and just feed on the crumbs that drift by. If you make a serioous commitment to the first option, you can become a valued participant and "we" will be more than happy to share with you the information that we've gained with our hard-earned dollars and our valuable limited time. If you go for the other two options, have a nice life.

I'm new to this forum but have been a "hobbiest" for over 15 years. Long-term frequenter of DC AMPs, most of which are now closed. Live in NoVa and occaisionally visit the AMPs. Based on this forum, I've come the learn that of the NoVa Standard Service. I'm glad I found this forum. I've been going to different locations trying to find any that do FS. Now I know none (most) don't. I enjoy a good massage and have found a place that does it legitamately for much less than the AMPs (no TS or HE though). Now that I know of the NoVa Standard, I'll probably stick to me legit massage and save some money. I'll continue to monitor this forum, it's every entertaining.

Hello, guys, I'm new here, I recently started visiting AMPs in the DC / NoVa area. I've been to about 10 places, learning by trial and error. Going rate seems to be around 80 / hr plus tip of 80-100 for extra service. I make small talk while the massage begins, then start to touch her gently as she works. From there the reactions vary. Most of the time the finish is HJ, sometimes they are willing to take their clothes off and let me touch them. Have had FS only once (covered of course). Have had a couple of disappointing experiences with completely NS massage.
I do not look down on these women because they are sex workers, indeed I try my best to make it a GFE. I am always courteous, clean, respectful and gentle (and generous when warranted). I take no for an answer, though I've been known to plead!
What I am quickly learning is this is a relationship like any other between a man and a woman, chemistry is key. Which brings me to my question. I met one masseuse with whom I 'clicked' and I'm tempted to initiate an 'off-the-clock' relationship with her. Thoughts?
